Chapter 3: Meaning

After the battle I had with Honcho I wondered about something I haven't thought about. What is my purpose? What does Beyblading mean to me. As I got lost in thinking about this, my sister called me and said that it was time for my next battle at the District Tournament. I let out a sigh of relief and got ready for my next fight. The next thing I know I was at the stage facing my opponent. I was completely confused as to how I got there. But no matter, cause this battle is more important for me. "The second battle of the B block is beginning! With Toko Aoi and Wing Accel Valkyrie to the right with his opponent Yumi Tano and Hurricane Hermes to the left! This is gonna be one blast of a battle!'. Hurricane Hermes, an attack type. Its known for its fast and powerful hits. If i parry it's hit blow for blow, i can win this whole thing.

"3 2 1! Let it rip!"

My opponent, Yumi doesn't taunt or speak anything. I wonder why... "Alright! Sword Launch, Valkyrie!" My bey span faster and faster eventually sneaking up on Hermes. "Woah! What's this? Valkyrie is leaning on its side?! It's going for a direct hit with a slash of it's sword!". Boom! Hermes was sent flying away. As to my astonishment, Hermes was simply sent to the rim of the stadium. As it heads straight to the center, it picked up speed i haven't even thought was possible. My Valkyrie was hit with a tremendous attack that sent it flying from the stadium. "Woah! Did you see that folks? Hermes performed it's signature move! It's Hermes Hammer!". Hermes Hammer eh? My sword launch wasn't even enough to take it down. I need to parry that kind of strength?

"It's time for the second battle! Bladers take your positions!" As i take my stance i stood a couple of steps away, it's time to fly Valtryek!

"3 2 1! Let it rip!"

As i flew up in the air, all of the people were in shock as they haven't seen someone do it since Valt. No matter, i launched my bey in an angle to give it some serious speed!

"Well now, do you see this folks?! Valt Aoi's younger brother used one of his special moves, his Aerial Boost! But is this move enough to defeat Yumi's Hermes?" As the announcer talked Yumi and i duked it out in the stadium with our bey's eventually bursting each other over and over again.

"RIP!"..."RIP!"..."RIP!"

"This is one battle to be remembered and written down in the history books! These two just won't let up and just keep's pushing each other over and over again! As we head into the 13th battle, both of the blader's look tired from the constant sharp and strong launches. Will this be the deciding battle? Or will one of these two crumble? We might know with this next match!"

"3 2 1! Let it RIP!"

Valkyrie and Hermes striked each other with a head-on collision resulting in shockwaves being sent out of the stadium! "Alright Valkyrie! Give it your all! It's time to use Sword Launch!" My Valkyrie stepped back and grabbed the rims of the stadium resulting in a massiv increase of speed. Meanwhile, Hermes circled around the middle gradually gaining faster and faster. I knew this was going to be the last strike of this battle, and im not gonna lose this fight! "WOW! Look at these bey's go! They're two fierce rivals who won't give up just yet!" said the announcer. Yumi, for the first time spoke "This isn't over! Let's give these two a wake u call! Let's go Hermes, Hurricane Strike!" Valkyrie swoops in coming from the immense speed of the railings and crashed right at Hermes who was too slow to react. Valkyrie and Hermes pushed each other right to their very limits! But in the end, Valkyrie won because of a Burt Finish...

After that whole battle, i found the meaning of why i blade. It was because i loved the sport as much as i can possibly love it. I was born to blade like i am right now, i kinda regret not doing this earlier but the thing is... It doesn't matter if we don't start as early as we would have wanted to, we just have to work harder and try again the next time the opportunity pop's up...
