Shorter chapter today, sorry!

Ugh...what- what just happened?

[You have slept for 8 Hours! HP, MP and SP have been restored! Negative ailments have been cured!]

I took a second to stare at the screen, regaining my thoughts, my mind instantly going back to the last thing I could remember-

"Ugh, so my Quirk awakened?"

I whispered to myself in confusion, not being able to see anything in the dusty darkness that surrounded me, encased me, suffocated me. Moving backwards, it was only now that I felt a heavy- or a moderate- weight on my stomach, it felt like a child was sitting on me...

Looking down, I couldn't see much, but I saw...orange? Straining my eyes further, I could only see orange, orange, and- why did this sound familiar-

Through being able to - barely - see in lightless places, the skill [Night Vision] has been gained.

VULPIMANCER! My mind snapped awake, and I jumped back, the small alien dog flying off of me.

"Aaa...arf?"

The 'dog' shook it's head at it's abrupt waking up, and I couldn't stop the hateful glare that found its way to the small thing. My hand was twitching to my side, and I felt my mind extend outwards, it was amazing, I could feel everything around me.

I could- if I wanted- pick it up, throw it, crush it. It wasn't overwhelming, but it made my mind feel...heavy, I knew I couldn't lift everything, I knew even this great power had its limits.

But also...I knew I could break those limits, and go beyond. Shaking my head with a little smirk, I sucked in air through my teeth, feeling my muscles grow more powerful.

But I wasn't using my Love Breathing- however, that could change at the drop of a pin.

I had a question, though...

"You saved me...why?!"

I shouted at the slightly shaking Vulpimancer, who took a step back at my voice, it's head lowering. I knew I wouldn't understand a word from it's mouth but-!

"Aa...arf! Bark! Bark, Arf!"

My breath hitched, and I looked at the alien in shock. I couldn't believe it. I took a hesitant step forward.

"You're not going to eat me?"

My eyes narrowed in confusion, I looked at my hands, before looking back at the alien.

"Aarr...? Woof? Grrr...BARK! BARK!"

The Vulpimancer shook it's head violently, and I strained my eyes just a bit more to see it.

[Night Vision] has leveled up! x1

Shadows fell back slightly, and I could see the alien with more clarity than before, and I let out a small smile.

"Your body...moved on it's own, huh? Y'know, I think you're different from all those other Vulpimancers, those savages."

I took a step forward again, this time...the alien took a step towards me too. Crouching, I let my head bow down low, the Vulpimancer copied me.

But with my eyes, I stared at it, and...I smiled. I felt a warmth in my heart. I felt a...form of love?

Not sexual- god no, but the kind of love that makes you want to protect, even if it kills you. Vulpimancers are like dogs, and...well, I'm a dog person.

So as we neared each other, I finally put my palm on it's head, and started to slowly stroke it with a smile.

It felt like...I could understand it, like i had been talking with the alien.

For being able to make out the savage language of this alien species...skill gained; [Vulpimancer Language]!

[Vulpimancer Language] had leveled up! x1

"I'm sorry."

I whispered, remembering just a few minutes ago when I was fully ready to murder this alien-

No, this child. Because the Vulpimancer was nothing more than a cub. A puppy. And it made me feel sick. Yeah, I had a sudden change of heart, so what? I tried to kill this cute little alien pup because...what? That's my mission?

My quest? No, my goal isn't to kill every Vulpimancer I come across- although at first it might've been.

I'm not a savage. I'm...I'm not.

This is some Saiyan bullshit, but I'm not them. Planet Killing conquerors? No, that isn't for me.

Maybe most Vulpimancers are evil, and maybe I'll kill 99.9% of them. But, if I see one that is Good, truly good. Then...then...

"A...Awoooo~!"

I smiled, shaking my head. God, why do dogs- even alien ones- always seem to be so...just- amazing!

Hm, though it could also be...

"[Observe]"

Name: Nameless

Title: Mans Best Friend.

Race: Vulpimancer (Youth)

Level: 3

HP: 100%

SP: 100%

MP: 100%

Mans Best Friend? I assume the title gives them some sort of...enhanced relationship with humans? Or sapient life in general.

Perhaps not reputation, but it allows for people to...confide in them? I didn't feel the way I did for this puppy for the other Vulpimancers I killed.

So it most likely works on enhancing a positive bond you already have with a creature. Huh, that makes...a whole lot of sense, actually.

For actively deducing the specifics of a Title...+2 INT!

For being able to understand the [Mans Best Friend] Title,+ 1 WIS!

That...basically means the same thing- you know what, I'm not gonna question it.

Though, with a title like that, and with all of this bullshit going on, I wonder;

Can I get this Vulpimancer as a Familiar?

...

S-system? I asked a question?

[Uh...sorry, but you can't have a creature created by an I.D be a familiar to you.]

[If it were a Natural Dungeon, things would be different, but...]

I get it. I get it.

Scrunching my face, I looked at the alien dog with sadness for a moment, before rolling my eyes. Who cares, Live in the Present, do what you want, and all that means is-

"Arf-!"

I picked the orange dog up and plopped him on my lap, before I quickly started stroking it with a wide grin on my lips. And then suddenly, I had a sort of...epiphany, a light bulb moment.

A 'eureka, that's it!' moment.

"What if...I made him a temporary Familiar? A familiar that only exists on this plane of existence?"

[I...]

[Well–]

[Maybe...]

[Huh. You're smarter than you let on, aren't you?]

For thinking of something even Elizabeth (The System) couldn't think of...+5 INT!

For thinking outside of the box, and using your knowledge smartly...+3 WIS!

[Since a Dungeon is tied to Real World physics, and since it also has a passage of time whenever you're not in here, a sort of 'Dungeon Familiar' wouldn't be too difficult to do.]

Wait, really? I thought Dungeons just like...reset?

[Haha, no. After all, that could mean you could just grind levels infinitely. The decision to make Dungeons more like a...personal pocket dimension of sorts was made to allow creatures to breed and become stronger.]

[Think of it like a weird, gladiator sort-of Zoo]

That kinda makes sense, when I think about it.

It would be super easy to just finish a dungeon, and jump right back in. Sure most of the Dungeon would hardly give you a level, but I'd imagine the Bosses would be the main incense.

For figuring out the reason the Instant Dungeons were patched...+2 INT!

I stared at the screen for a few moments, it was...really easy to grind Intelligence and Wisdom, huh?

Not that I'm complaining! It's surely going to be helpful! No doubt about that.

Right now, I don't have a Magic Focused class- or...Eromancer technically counts but its not a Magic Fighting class, Nin-taijutsu, that sort of thing.

I have Love Breathing, and if I'm smart and use it at very specific intervals, I can surely level it up quickly. But honestly, my main theory on why my INT and WIS level up so quickly?

[Touch of Mana], honestly I don't get why it would increase my mental stats, I thought it only enhanced the Magic effects I get from it.

But when Intelligence or Wisdom are leveled, naturally, I grow smarter.

So that's a reason I don't understand [Touch of Mana], or well- I do, sort of. I don't. But...

Gah, it's so confusing to put into words!

I just have this sort of feeling, within me, that I have an incredible- probably infinite potential! And my Mana can...sense it?

I don't know, but I know my Magic wants me to reach my potential. Why? I don't know. Maybe it wants me to ascend to Godhood, become an...Arch-Mage or something, i don't know.

Though, I don't really care, either? My Magic seems to be in sync with my mind, and my mind with body.

Hah, just thinking of all of this is gettin' me excited! Getting up, I looked down at my little alien friend and smiled.

"System, how do I make him my familiar?"

[Ah, if you would allow me...?]

[Would you like to make [UNNAMED] your familiar?]

[Y/n]

Rolling my eyes, I obviously said yes–

My eyes turned blank, and suddenly my body turned rigid, I was stood up as straight as a block of pure Iron.

Without even thinking it to, my hand was raised towards the Vulpimancer puppy so much shorter than I.

And then I felt it, without my commanding it, Mana began to rise from my core, more, and more, and more and so much so that it was burning. And then there was something else too.

There was an energy completely separate to my Mana rising within, yet it blended perfectly.

I tried to speak- to shout out at Liz, my eyes wanted to widen in fear, but my body was being possessed by Elizabeth.

Then, I noticed a faint line in the air, connecting me to the orange alien wolf.

Huh, so I guess that's it then? Sic–

*FWOOOSH!*

The transparent, colourless lines burst into a rainbow of flames, and I wanted to cover my eyes at the blinding lightshow, but my struggles were futile, my eyes stayed wide open.

"A-arf? BARK! GRRR– AWOOOO!"

I didn't feel any heat from the raging flames, no that's not right, I felt a warmth, but not the hot kind.

My heart fluttered, this was the kind of warmth that you could only feel towards a friend, your family.

This was...love.

Dungeon Familiar gained!

Would you like to name [UNNAMED]?

[Y/n]

"haha..."

I let out a small laugh, the smile on my face wide with happiness, my eyes watering just a little bit.

So a name, huh? God, I'm shit when it comes to this.

I could take the easy option, sure. Call him 'fenrir' and be done with it, but that's too easy. I want a name that not many people would go for, a unique name if you would...

Um...uh, um...AH! I got it.

"Your new name...is OOGWAY!"

I turned, obviously thinking 'yes' right before saying it.

And I felt amazing for thinking of something like that, it just popped into my mind. Like it was fate.

Yeah. Thats good.

!DUNGEON FAMILIAR STATUS!

Name: Oogway.

Title: Mans Best Friend!

Race: Vulpimancer.

Level: 3

HP: 1,000

SP: 800

MP: 500

!SKILLS!

[Vulpimancer Language] - MAX -

[Wild Fighting] - Level 3 -

[World of Scent] - MAX -

[Surface Climbing] - MAX -

Looking at Oogway's skills, I couldn't help but be confused, he didn't have Stat Points like STR, WIS, CHA, or LCK.

So I'd automatically assume his stat points get automatically assigned to all his stats equally?

Eh, at the end of the day, I don't really care-

I'm a little curious about this, actually...

"[Observe]"

!DUNGEON FAMILIAR SKILL!

[World of Scent] - MAX -

A Vulpimancer is born without sight, but this is not a weakness. It is their strength. Because now Vulpimancers see the world much clearer than any sight seeing species could - through smell!

They are so good at this Spatial Awareness that they can traverse all sorts of land, dodge attacks from all directions and so on and so forth.

Wh- wow. That's incredible.

Looking down onto the tiny alien dog, I couldn't help but smile again.

"Alright buddy, you and me, against the world!"

Standing up, beams of sunlight covered my body, and I closed my eyes, walking towards the exit.

Very short chapter today, because what else could I do? This is more like an in-between chapter before the BOSS FIGHT tomorrow! And the thing that will see the end of these daily uploads, because I only wrote until the boss.

So QUESTION OF THE DAY; What class should Sei take after Eromancy? I know he said Earth Magic but I don't know about that, the Class can be pretty much anything, from 'Fire Magic' to...I don't know, 'Void Magic', 'Knight', please give your suggestions!

And that's it! Please review and with that, goodbye! For now,
