Chapter Two: A Visit from a CEO
A car swiftly made its way through the streets. It passed by a few monuments, City Hall, a bakery next to the river before continuing on. It soon came upon a mansion before stopping at the gates. The gates opened up and the car pulled in. Once the car came to a stop, a big muscular man came out of the driver's side before walking to the rear right passenger side. He opened the door and a blonde teen wearing a white button-down shirt, a black shirt with five, different horizontal lines around the chest, a pair of blue jeans and orange sneakers. On the ring finger of his right hand, he was wearing a silver ring. Looking to his body guard, Adrien nodded his thanks, "Thank you. I'll be heading to my room to focus on my homework."
"Hmm." The Gorilla nodded and followed Adrien into the house. When he walked into the door, Adrien's attention went to the stairs when he heard a man say, "Adrien."
Adrien looked to see his father and his assistant Nathalie standing in front of the stair case. Nathalie was a woman wearing black and red framed glasses, a red turtleneck sweater, black business suit and black medium-heel shoes. Gabriel said to him, "I'm happy to see that you made it home even with the unfortunate business earlier."
"Nothing to worry about, Father." Adrien shook his head. He grinned when he said, "I heard that Ladybug, Cat Noir, Carapace, Rena Rouge and Queen Bee all had it covered."
"Indeed." Gabriel said with an emotionless look. He was about to say something else when the doorbell went off. The Gorilla walked up to a monitor and pushed a button. Another fancy car appeared on screen and Gabriel came to take a look. He seemed to recognize the car and said, "Let them in."
The Gorilla nodded and pushed another button. The gates opened up and a car pulled into the driveway. When it stopped, the back passenger door opened up and Nathalie walked over to the door to let them in. When she opened the door, a man wearing a grey business suit walked in. Gabriel recognized him and greeted, "Simon Masrani. How good it is to see you again."
"Gabriel Agreste." Simon greeted back and walked in. He walked up to Gabriel and they shook hands. Looking to Gabriel's right he saw Adrien standing there and greeted, "Ah, Adrien. I do believe that you've grown the last time I saw you."
"It hasn't been that long has it?" Adrien asked in a joking manner. While neither Gabriel nor Nathalie laughed, Simon gave a chuckle to this. Gabriel stole their guest's attention by asking, "Not that you are unwelcome here, Simon. But what brings you by?"
"I have come to make an announcement to the François Dupont High School." Simon said serious at first. But then his smile returned when he said, "And since I see that Adrien now attends, I didn't think that it would hurt to visit an old friend.
"Unfortunately, I know that I'll have to wait until tomorrow." Simon added. Looking between father and son he said, "I do hope that the two of you will be there."
"While Adrien will be attending school tomorrow, I may be caught up in my work unfortunately." Gabriel informed his friend. Simon chuckled again and said, "Same old Gabriel. Have a good evening."
"Goodbye, Mr. Masrani." Adrien waved to him as he walked back to the door. Simon gave a wave before walking out the door. Nathalie closed it behind him and walked to Gabriel's office. Adrien looked to his father and asked, "What do you think his announcement will be, Father?"
"You'll find out tomorrow." Gabriel said before walking to his office. Adrien knew that it might be a lost cause, but he still went and asked, "Will please be at the school tomorrow?"
The question made Gabriel stop in his tracks before glancing back. He gave his honest answer, "It all depends on how much I can get done today."
"Yes, Father." Adrien said, looking a little down from the answer. He could guess that his father would be buried in his work as usual. Gabriel then said, "In the meantime, I suggest you get your school work done and practice your piano and Chinese for a bit."
"Yes, Father." Adrien said before turning to go to his room.
Gabriel walked into his office and Nathalie stood to the side of the door. Nathalie then said, "I just looked about it online, sir. It turns out that Mr. Damocles had unknowingly registered the school for a contest. One that Simon's company, the Masrani Global Corporation, is sponsoring."
"I see." Gabriel said as he walked over to the computer console in front of a mural of a blonde woman. He tapped it a few times to see what was going on. Nathalie then said, "While there aren't many details about the contest, but it ended two days ago."
"Hmm." Gabriel said as he thought about it.
…
Up in another room of the house, Adrien set his bag down on his bed and sat down at his computer to start on his homework. But before he got started, He opened his over shirt a little and let a little black creature flew out. Plagg, the Kwami of destruction, groaned and said, "Finally, back home. Now for some cheese."
"Uh, seriously, Plagg?" Adrien questioned the Kwami. He looked to the little creature and asked, "Is cheese all you think about?"
"Only when I get really hungry." Plagg replied as he flew to a cabinet and opened it up to reveal a platter of Camembert cheese. If he wasn't used to it by now, Adrien would have gagged from the smell. He was about to start his homework when he decided to let his friends know about the visitor to Paris.
Picking up his phone, Adrien started typing to at least tell his friends. When the message was ready, he sent it out. Now, all he could do was wait and see what Mr. Masrani had to say tomorrow.

Elsewhere in Paris, at a bakery Marinette walked in to find her parents in the middle of working. She greeted with a smile, "Hi, Mom. Hi, Dad."
"There you are, my little dumpling." Her father said and Marinette laughed a little. Before disappearing into the house, Marinette asked, "Anything that I can help you guys with?"
"Oh, we're doing fine at the moment, dear." Her mother said as she placed some baked goods on the counter. Tom Dupen then asked, "I hope that you hadn't been harmed by any of those evil pigeons."
"Don't worry, Dad." Marinette waved it off. The she said, "Ladybug and her friends were able to take care of them."
"Well, that's good to hear." Sabine said as they continued to work. Marinette walked by them when her phone went off. Raising it she saw that it was a text from Adrien. She gasped in both excitement and anxiety. Her parent's looked her direction and she said without facing them, "It's a message from Adrien."
Both her parents smiled before continuing to work. Marinette quickly rushed up to her bedroom. When she made it, she closed the floor door and took a look at the message while opening her purse. Tikki came flying out while Marinette read the message aloud, "Adrien says that the school's going to have a visitor. He didn't say who."
"Maybe he's wanting to keep it a surprise." Tikki guessed with a shrug. Marinette thought that she had a point. Marinette then said, "I guess that we'll just have to wait and see tomorrow."
Marinette set her phone down before getting to work on her homework.

The next morning, everything in Paris seemed quiet as there were no akumatized villains on the loose. On the streets, Marinette quickly ran across the streets to her school. She nearly didn't slow down in time as she skidded a little before the school steps before running up them. When she burst through the doors, she was greatly surprised to see that Mrs. Busteirs entire class was sitting in the middle of the school. She saw Alya, Nino and Adrien all sitting in the front row. Marinette could even see Adrien's father's assistant Nathalie standing next to Adrien's chair with a tablet as usual. She quickly made her way to sit next to her best friend, she sat down and asked, "Has the mystery guest come in yet?"
"No, we're still waiting on him." Alya shook her head. They both looked to Nino when he asked Adrien, "Come on, dude. You texted all of Mrs. Bustiers class last night the same message. You got to tell us who this guy is?"
"Sorry, Nino. I did my part in raising awareness, but I think I'll let him reveal himself." Adrien said with a know-but-won't-tell look on his face. This caused Nino to sigh the displeasing fact that his best friend was keeping him in the dark. Their attention was stolen when they all heard a familiar voice say from behind them, "Uh, how much longer are we going to have to wait. This is ridiculous, utterly ridiculous."
"Now, now, students." A woman with red hair and white clothes said from in front of them. Looking over each of them she said, "I know how eager you all are to know why we're here and not in class. But I only ask that you remain patient a little longer."
But they didn't have to wait much longer as the front doors of the school opened up. Everyone looked back to see Simon Masrani walking. A few gasps ran through the school as a good number of them recognized him. The only ones who didn't gasp were Adrien and Marinette. Adrien, for he already knew that Simon was going to be at school today, for Marinette, she slightly couldn't place him. Leaning to Alya she asked, "Who is that again?"
"Are you for real, girl?" Alya said before reminding her, "That's Simon Masrani, the CEO of Masrani Global Corporation. Also known as the owner of Jurassic World."
"Really?" Marinette asked with fading disbelief. They all watched as Simon Masrani walk around the seated class before coming to a stop before them. He seemed a little disappointed when he could only see Gabriel's face with a tablet, but decided to let it go. When he was in front of them, Simon Masrani greeted them, "Hello everyone. I am Simon Masrani. I know that my sudden appearance has disrupted your daily activities and I apologize about that.
"But I am here to give you all some good news." He said, making the students all look to each other and talk to each other for a bit. They were quickly silenced when Mr. Damocles cleared his throat. Mr. Masrani nodded his thanks before saying, "Mr. Damocles, do you recall the form you received in the mail?"
"Uh, you may need to be a little more specific, Mr. Masrani." Mr. Damocles said, a little confused. Simon laughed a little before saying, "The form that you received was an entry ballet to try and win an all expense paid trip to Jurassic World.
"Oh, that form." Mr. Damocles said when he slightly remembered. He chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck, "I must have been swamped that day when I filled it out."
"Well, I am proud to say that the school of François Dupont High School was the one chosen." Simon said when he looked to the students. This really excited everyone as they all started speaking to each other. Simon then said, "For all who wish to come join on the adventure of a life time, I will have a sign-up sheet sitting on Mr. Damocles' office.
"I will come around to collect it at the end of tomorrow." Mr. Masrani informed before walking up to do just that. While he was walking up the steps, Mr. Damocles addressed the students, "You have today and tomorrow to think about if you wish to participate. Be sure to ask your parents and make your decisions before then."
He walked off to allow Mrs. Bustier to take over. With a clap of her hands she said, "Alright, class. Let's make our way to the classroom. You can think about it when you have the time."
Everyone rose from their seats and made their way to the locker room to prepare for the day.

Later that day, there were no villain sightings at all that day and everyone had gone into the library. Marinette, Adrien, Alya, Nino, Chloe, an orange haired girl wearing a blue and white outfit, a blonde girl in a pink outfit, a girl with black hair and a black outfit, a big muscular boy with skull on it, a girl with braids under a bandana and a blue shirt, brown jacket and purple skirt, a tall thin boy in a red hoodie and black pants, a shorter dark skinned boy in green and a pair of square glasses on his face, a blue and robot floating next to the boy and lastly, a tom-boyish red headed girl in black and green, and a dark brown headed girl wearing a vermilion jacket over a dark gray sleeveless and short pant legged jumpsuit. The boy in red, Kim looked about and asked, "So, whose all going? I mean, I think my parent's will let me miss at least one swim meet for this."
"It is a chance of a lifetime." The boy next to him, Max, nodded in agreement. Then he said, "To have a chance to view all the wonders that make Jurassic World such a wonder."
"I could have gotten in if I had asked daddy if I had thought about it before." Chloe said with a flick of her head. Then she said with a grin, "But this just makes it a lot easier."
"All to true, Chloe." The orange haired girl, Sabrina, agreed. While a good number of the students gave them uninterested looks, Alya then said, "I could get to interview a few of the staff for a small, but informative blog."
"I hear that a lot of the baby dinosaurs are really cute." The girl in pink, Rose, said as she clasped her hands together. The girl next to her, Juleka, laughed a little. Alix, the tomboy, said, "I wouldn't mind finding a nice spot to test my blades. Leave a little mark, you know."
"I highly doubt that my father will allow me to go." Adrien dejectedly said. Everyone looked to him and he said, "I would like to be able to go. But it may not be possible for me."
"I'm sure that if you talk to your dad he might let you, dude." Nino suggested, trying to be helpful. Adrien gave him a smile, but it didn't seem to do much. Marinette wanted to comfort him, but was stopped when Lila said, "Well, I happen to know of a few people who not only went to Jurassic World, but also a few people who work there too."
"Whoa, really?" A few of the other students asked in astonishment. But the only ones who weren't believing her were Adrien and Marinette as the former shook his head while the latter glared. Kim seemed confident when he said, "I know that I'm going."
"I'm not entirely sure that my mom will allow me to attend, but I will at least try." Max shrugged. The others continued to talk about wanting to go and Rose said, "It's too bad that Marc, Nathaniel, Aurore and Mireille are too busy to go."
"I can't go either." Sabrina sadly said, making Chloe gasp in shock. Gripping her friend/servant by the shoulders she questioned, "Why on Earth wouldn't you be able to go if I were to go?"
"As it turns out, I have to go a family reunion to go to." Sabrina explained. With a shake of her head she said, "And Daddy says that I don't have much of a choice in it."
"Uh, how will I go on." Chloe whined a bit. While Marinette, Alya, Mylene, Rose, Juleka and Alix all smiled at this, Adrien just shook his head. Soon, everyone got up to leave to go and talk to their parents.

Author's Note: The next chapter is going to be the last original chapter for a while. I plan for at least Marinette's parents and Adrien's father to be talked to about going on the trip.
