Amanda cried as Olivia knelt in front of her. Olivia wanted to hug her, but she wasn't sure how Amanda would take it. Amanda wasn't the clingy type. Olivia whispered, "I'm sorry" and gave her the office to grieve. "Really Liv? Thanks a lot." Amanda sat thinking about the girl she couldn't save.
Amanda was put on administrative duty, but for the next week she didn't show up or call in. Olivia worried about her and Jesse and sent Lucy and Noah. Amanda had a weak spot for Noah. Olivia gave Lucy a heads up in case she flipped. Lucy knocked and saw the door open, "Hey Aunt Amanda! Can Jesse come with us for a sleepover?" Amanda let them in, "Sleepover Noah?" Lucy smiled, "The fair is in town for the weekend and we were headed to see my mom. I'm coming back Monday morning. Noah wanted some company."
Lucy was dependable. She had taken them both to her mom's when they were younger." "Lucy, you don't mind?" Lucy shook her head, "My mom would love to see both of them." Amanda had been struggling lately and welcomed the break. She packed a bag and they left.
Amanda was sitting enjoying the silence when her phone rang. She saw "Liv" across the front. Then she knew it was a set up. "Hello." Olivia sighed, "So, you didn't report to work or call in. Are you ok?" Amanda shrugged, "I'm fine. Why do you care anyway?" Amanda was upset with her. Olivia just left her in that office. She was so upset, she stopped crying.
Olivia sighed, "Are you upset with me? Because if you are, come over for dinner and let's talk." Amanda smiled, "That's why you sent Lucy for Jesse?" Olivia laughed, "Are you coming?" Amanda looked at her empty home, "Yeah." Olivia bit her lip, "Bring some clothes, we can have our own sleepover."
Olivia finished dinner and waited nervously for Amanda. Truth was, she had been having feelings for her. Olivia was the Lieutenant and in charge and she thought it was wrong. She also heard that her and Al were on the rocks. He was a doctor, but Olivia didn't think he was right for Amanda.
She heard a knock, "Hey, come on in." Amanda smiled and walked in slowly, "It smells good." They sat and ate in pretty much silence before Olivia spoke, "So why are you mad with me? And let's be clear, just because you're mad, you don't get to not report to me or work."
Amanda looked up like she was in trouble, "You left me in your office crying. I thought we had become close. I know in the past I've let you down and screwed up, but I thought you cared more." Olivia knew exactly what she was talking about, "I'm sorry. We are close." Amanda scoffed, "It doesn't feel like it." Olivia frowned, "Help me with the dishes and let's talk."
After cleaning they sat on the couch. Olivia came clean, "I've been trying not to get close to you." Amanda frowned, "Why?" Olivia shrugged, "Because I really care about you." Olivia leaned on her knees, "When you got in trouble for gambling in that underground club, I wanted to spank your ass so bad." Amanda swallowed hard. "Then I wanted to fuck you." Amanda smiled.
Olivia sighed, "Then when I found out about Patton and what he did to do. I didn't know how to handle you. I wanted to help you, but I knew you would never let me see you as a victim." Olivia stood up and walked to the window, "You drive me crazy. You are so…" Amanda frowned, "Reckless?" Olivia smiled, "No, passionate. Just like going after D'Amico and Panko. Even though I wanted to spank your ass for that too. You care and I love you for it."
Amanda walked over and kissed her hard, pushing her body against the window. Olivia pushed her back, "We can't do this. This is what I was afraid of." Amanda scoffed, "Your sending fucking mixed signals. What do you mean?" Olivia shrugged, "I'm your boss, it's an abuse of power." Amanda sighed, "So we just ignore our feelings? I love you, I just never thought we had a chance."
Olivia shook her head, "We don't. Go take your shower." Amanda narrowed her eyes at Olivia, "We're not at work. You can't fucking boss me around." Olivia grabbed her face and kissed her hard, "Take your fucking shower now!" Amanda listened and stomped away.
Olivia went to take her shower. She rubbed soap on her body and thought about Amanda. Olivia was fucking wet and it wasn't from the shower.
