A/N: We'll start out the battle mostly with Ladybug and the troopers against the Indominus. Then things will spice up a little in the middle.

Chapter Twelve: Ladybug vs. Indominus Rex vs. Dinotrooper

While the troopers readied their large guns, Ladybug removed her yo-yo from her side. All the troopers raised their weapons and moved behind Hamada and Ladybug. While not taking their eyes off of their surroundings, Ladybug asked, "How far do we have to go?"

"Not too far." Hamada shook his head. He turned his left arm and looked at a wrist band that had a screen to tell him how far the beacon was. He then said, "She should be just up ahead."

"I could take a look from the trees, just to make sure that the coast is clear." Ladybug suggested. Hamada nodded, "Okay. Just be cautious.

"We don't know what we're dealing with exactly." He said and looked out into jungle. Ladybug nodded before throwing her yo-yo upward and zipping up into the trees. She jumped from branch to branch while the others followed from down below. Hamada glanced back and said, "Keep your eyes trained for the Indominus, fellas.

"And be careful for Miss Ladybug as well." He added as they continued forward.

In the Control Room, everyone watched with mixed looks. Owen happened to notice the kinds of weapons they were using and questioned, "You're going after her with non-lethals."

"We have twenty-six million dollars invested in that asset. We can't just kill her." Mr. Masrani pointed out like a businessman. Then he pointed out, "Plus, with Ladybug with them, there will be no need for such extremes."

"And if and when the mission goes south?" Owen questioned and looked to the park owner. With a gesture of his head to the monitor he said, "They're liable to get into a lot of trouble."

"They're three hundred meters to the beacon." Vivian said and they all looked back up to the monitor. Owen still didn't think it was a good idea and urged, "You need to call this mission off right now."

"Okay, they're right on top of it." Lowery said when he looked at where the beacon was transmitting. Owen tried to make himself heard, "Call it off right now."

"You are not in control here!" Claire said to shut him up. Owen looked as if he were going to lose it But a hand to his shoulder made him look to Cat Noir. He nodded when he said, "We just need to trust in milady. She can protect them."

"Fine." Owen said, though he didn't like it. They all looked to the monitor to see how it would go.

Back in the jungle, the troopers were still moving through the foliage looking for their target. Hamada glanced upward to look for any signs of the Indominus, or that Ladybug was still with them. He saw her whipping around on a tree over them. Hamada asked, "Anything?"

"We must be getting close. I saw tracks by the river." Ladybug said before dropping back down to them. She turned and pointed, "Just up ahead. If we hurry, we can see how close she is."

"Good idea." Hamada nodded, liking how she was working with them. Looking back to the others he said, "Let's move, people."

From the back of the group, Corey still didn't seem too thrilled at this. With a huff he still followed after the others. On his wristband, it showed that his heart rate was starting to rise.

In his secret hideout, the akumas were starting to get restless as Hawk Moth stepped forward into the light. He could sense a negative emotion close by and smirked, "A man who is taking orders not only from his commander, but a heroine that he seems to despise.

"What a lovely prey for my akuma." He said before having one of the butterflies come to him. It landed on his out stretched palm and he placed his other hand over it. With a deep breath he willed dark energy to flood into the akuma. When it was done, he uncovered the now dark butterfly and released it, "Fly away, my little akuma. And evilize his angered heart!"

He watched the akuma go and his dark grin never once faltered. He laughed maniacally, "Get ready, Ladybug. For the downfall of Jurassic World is about to begin!"

Back with Ladybug and the troopers, they were nearing the river when they started to hear a beeping sound. Hamada looked to his wrist and saw that they were getting closer. Ladybug then pointed at a spot, "Over there's where I saw her footprints."

"Then she may be close by." Hamada said and they continued forward. Walking up to the river, the beeping started to increase. Looking about, Ladybug then saw something flashing and pointed, "Over there."

Hamada carefully walked over to where she was pointing and came upon a troubling sight. What appeared to be a bit of gray flesh laying against a rock. He raised his hand for the others to halt. Everyone stopped and their leader leaned down to grab the bit of flesh. He turned it over and saw the beeping implant. Ladybug's eyes widened and Hamada said for all to hear, "The blood's not clotted yet. It means that she's close."

In the Control Room, everyone's eyes widened at what they were seeing. Some were a little confused as Masrani asked, "What is that?"

"That's her tracking implant." Owen said when he walked back over. Cat Noir looked to him and said, "She must have clawed it out." He shuddered when he thought, "Gee, that must have hurt."

"I'll say." Lowery agreed with him. Claire didn't understand it when she asked, "How would it know to do that?"

"She remembered where they put it in." Owen said, knowing it was the only way possible. Cat Noir became really worried, "Which means that they won't be able to know when she comes to attack them.

"I've got to warn them." Cat Noir said as he removed his stick and converted it into his Cat Phone. They all stopped when they heard the sound of something wet hit Hamada's arm. They all looked to see a drop of red on the man's arm.

Hamada noticed it too and looked at his arm. Another drop of blood landed on his arm. Ladybug looked over his shoulder and said in horror, "If that's her blood, then…"

Everyone looked up to see that some of the leaves had some fresh blood on them. The sound of snapping twigs made everyone look as some birds squealed in terror. Ladybug and Hamada took a step back when they saw a shape moving through the greenery and the colors started to turn white. Soon she was out in her full glory; a large theropod dinosaur with white scales, long forelimbs with long four fingered claws on each hand, rows of spine-like quills running down its head, neck and back and over her eyes were ridges like that of an Allosaur. The Indominus gave a low growl as she looked over them all. Hamada shouted, "She can camouflage!"

"Hamada!" Ladybug shouted as she threw her yo-yo to rescue him. The yo-yo was able to grab him and yank Hamada away before the Indominus could grab a hold of him. When he was by her side, Ladybug twirled her yo-yo to form a shield between her, the troopers and the hybrid dinosaur. Looking to Hamada she said, "When I drop the shield, hit her with everything you have!"

"At once, Ladybug." Hamada said and they both started moving back. Ladybug lowered the spinning shield and Hamada ordered, "Light it up!"

All the ACU troopers with shock guns let it fly at the Indominus and she screeched in pain when they hit her. But she seemed to shrug them off as she rushed for the group. Ladybug whipped her yo-yo forward and it seemed to make the hybrid stop in her tracks when it hit the ground. But on another whip of the yo-yo, the Indominus Rex lunged forward and managed to grab a hold of it with her teeth. Ladybug cried out as she was yanked off her feet. Luckily thanks to her enhanced reflexes, she was able to nimbly land on the hybrid dinosaur's back with ease.

Seeing that Ladybug was in the line of fire but had the hybrid dinosaur momentarily distracted, Hamada shouted, "Hold your fire and back away!"

While most of them complied, Corey however wasn't too thrilled about the new orders. Ladybug started to feel sick as the Indominus tried to shake her off. Knowing that she needed to rein the hybrid dinosaur, Ladybug threw her yo-yo forward again before having it swing in an arch. It happened to go between the Indominus' jaws and Ladybug tried to get her to calm down. Having had enough, Corey stepped forward and started firing at the hybrid dinosaur again. Ladybug screamed as she ducked down and the Indominus moved away from the shooting man. Hamada looked to the soldier and shouted, "Corey, I said stand down!"

"Rah!" Was Corey's response as he kept shooting. The anger to having Ladybug join the mission and giving orders angered him. Hamada was about to shout again when he saw something flapping towards Corey. He saw that it was a little black butterfly. Hamada called out, "Corey, watch out!"

But Corey wasn't listening as he kept shooting. The akuma went to his weapon before disappearing into it. Only then did Corey stop shooting as an image of a butterfly appeared over his face. Everyone looked to see the man with an angry expression and Hamada shouted to Ladybug, "He got hit with an akuma!"

"What?" Ladybug questioned before looking to Corey.

In the Control Room, everyone was shocked to hear about the akuma. And they all knew that it meant one or two things. One, there was about to be a supervillain made. And two, Hawk Moth was somewhere on the island. Cat Noir rushed to the door, "I've got to go and help them!"

"You'll never make it! This isn't Paris." Claire shouted, and it made him look to her. Cat Noir didn't seem deterred when he said, "I still have to try."

He pushed the button to the elevator and waited for it to open. Owen looked to his friend before looking back to the screen.

Back at the battlefield, Corey heard a voice say to him, "Dinotrooper, I am Hawk Moth.

"The thought of a heroine who crashed your mission is now getting in your way." Hawk Moth said and it made sense to him. The holder of the Butterfly Miraculous then said, "Well, I can give you the power to complete it and upstage Ladybug. All I ask in return are Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous."

"I will complete these missions, Hawk Moth." Corey said before the dark aura of the akuma spread over his body. Everyone gasped, and even the Indominus seemed put on edge from this development.

The aura seemed to grow in size and when the aura dissipated, Dinotrooper was ready to go. While the majority of the body was silver in color, there were a few spots around the joints that were blue. A large cannon that had an electrified net launcher on one arm and a large metallic claw on the other. His feet seemed to be able to switch between normal feet and treads. His head looked like that of T-rex's and had a long swinging tail and spikes jutting from his back. Dinotrooper threw his head back and let loose a loud roar that seemed to make a shockwave.

Ladybug, Hamada and the ACU troopers fought to stay on their feet. Even the Indominus Rex was affected as she stumbled back a little. It caused her to lose her grip on one end of her yo-yo before falling off. The Indominus looked to her and considered attacking the downed hero for a moment. But a stomp from Dinotrooper made her snap her head back to the dinosaur-themed villain. Dinotrooper raised his net launcher arm and opened fire. The Indominus quickly moved out of the way and the net ended up hitting a tree and breaking a few branches off as it became entangled. With a yank of his arm, the villain was able to reclaim his net before moving towards the Indominus. The hybrid dinosaur turned to face this new foe and roared in defiance.

From her spot on the ground, Ladybug stood back up and thought that the situation was starting to become much worse. She knew that she had two things to take care of, but she knew that the creation of a villain made things much harder. Looking to Hamada she shouted, "Could your shock guns work on him?!"

"We've never tried!" Hamada responded and shook his head. Ladybug then asked, "Where did you say that the akuma went?"

"In his gun! Which is his arm now!" Another trooper informed her. Their heads snapped to the battle when Indominus roared and charged towards Dinotrooper. She tackled right into him with her head and he fought to stay on his feet. The Indominus snapped her jaws at him and he moved his head back. When he kept sliding backwards because of her great strength, his legs quickly assumed tread mode and he was able to start pushing back. The Indominus fought this time to stay on her feet and it looked as if she were having some trouble when she was forced to take a step back.

Ladybug decided to act by looking to Hamada and shouted, "Cover me and the Indominus!"

"And the Indominus?!" Hamada questioned while others looked to her. Ladybug then pointed out, "It's either the hybrid dinosaur or the dinosaur villain!"

"Fair point." One of the ACU troopers nodded before some moved into position. They aimed their guns and opened fire on Dinotrooper. It seemed to draw his attention from the Indominus when he glanced to the troopers.

With Dinotrooper distracted, Ladybug thought it was the perfect opportunity to call out her, "Lucky Charm!"

She threw her yo-yo up and magical ladybugs appeared from it. They flew into the air before coming together and forming, a tarp. This surprised Ladybug as she caught it and asked, "A tarp? What exactly am I going to with this?"

But knowing that she didn't have much time to lose, she started to look about. Her gaze landed on Hamada and his team, the Indominus and then to Dinotrooper's head. Or more specifically, his eyes and how they were on both sides of his head. A plan formed in her mind and she smirked, "Of course."

"You got something Ladybug?!" Hamada shouted before he and his troopers were knocked back by Dinotrooper's tail. The akumatized person grabbed the Indominus by the throat with his large clawed hand before forcing her back. He raised his net launcher arm and fired. The net flew at the Indominus and she turned before swatting the net with her tail. Ladybug gasped as the net came down on her and she screamed when it started shocking her.

"Good work, Dinotrooper." Hawk Moth commended while the villain had a gleaming eye at the tortured hero. Hawk Moth then urged, "Be quick and get me Ladybug's Miraculous and defeat the Indominus!"

"As you wish, Hawk Moth." Dinotrooper said in a raspy voice. The Indominus could see the shocking torture that Ladybug was going through and it reminded her of her own. Though she knew that Ladybug was her enemy, she knew that this creature that grew from a human was a much bigger threat.

With a roar she lunged forward and tackled him from the side. It was enough to make the net be pulled off of Ladybug and she fell to her knees. Hamada had been the first to rise to his feet and saw the distressed Ladybug. He carefully made his way over and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. She glanced at him and he asked, "Are you okay?"

"I will be." Ladybug said as she took deep breaths. She looked to the two giants and said, "But we need to finish this quickly."

"I agree." Hamada nodded in agreement. Ladybug then said, "Keep Dinotrooper distracted a little longer. If I can get the tarp over his eyes and keep his claw arm still, then the Indominus could break his net launcher."

"But how will you get her to go for it?" Hamada asked, not seeing that part of the plan. Ladybug looked to the two again as the Indominus had pushed Dinotrooper over and he responded with a kick to the face. The heroine smirked and said, "I think even she can recognize an opening."

"I'll do what I can." Hamada said before running back to the other ACU troopers to give them their orders. Ladybug held on tightly to the tarp before zipping off into the trees.

Hamada, who had relayed his orders as he had ran by, took a spot on one side of Dinotrooper while the others followed his lead. They opened fire with the shock guns and it seemed to cause the necessary distraction. Dinotrooper growled from this and turned to look at all the troopers. He had intentionally used his tail to knock the Indominus off her feet. Ladybug, seeing an opportunity, tied the tarp a little before jumping down with a yell. It alerted Dinotrooper and he looked up. The butterfly image appeared before his eyes again and he heard Hawk Moth say, "Hurry and grab Ladybug!"

Dinotrooper responded by lashing his claw arm out. Ladybug responded to this by landing on his arm before jumping off. Then with a quick motion of her arm, she was able to wrap her yo-yo around Dinotrooper to tie his arm to his side while throwing the tarp forward and it landed over his eyes. He struggled to get himself free as he flailed his free arm, the arm with the akuma in it. Ladybug smirked to see her plan coming together. With a yank she caused his arm to stick out. It seemed to work for the Indominus as the appendage stuck out and it seemed to be an easy grab. With her jaws wide she lunged forward and bit down hard on the appendage. The Dinotrooper roared in pain as the bite dented the arm. And when a piece of the arm came off, the akuma came flying out. Ladybug's grin never faltered when she quickly undid her yo-yo trap. When she had it in her hand, she ran her finger across it and said, "No more evil doings for you little akuma.

"Time to de-evilize! She shouted as she spun it on her side before throwing it forward. The yo-yo flew forward before catching the akuma as it tried to fly away. When it came back to her hand once again she said, "Gotcha!

"Bye-bye, little butterfly." Ladybug bided when she opened up her yo-yo again. A white butterfly came flying out before disappearing. Dinotrooper started to revert back to Corey which greatly surprised the Indominus Rex. Ladybug quickly grabbed the tarp. She threw it into the air and shouted, "Miraculous Ladybug!"

The tarp once again become ladybugs before they moved about and started to fix things during the battle. The trees were put back together, the injuries sustained were healed. Ladybug smirked as she looked down at the confused looking Corey.

At his secret hideout, Hawk Moth felt the connection become severed. He knew that it meant that Dinotrooper had failed. With a growl he said, "Ladybug! Dinotrooper was the one who ended up becoming extinct.

"But I promise you that soon enough…" He said and looked up, "The next time you'll be the one who'll be a part of prehistory!"

Ladybug was about to help Corey up to his feet when the Indominus' jaws came down on the man. She screamed as she threw her head back and it sent the man flying. He hit the ground and the Indominus roared as she continued the attack.

Hamada ran forward and the other ACU troopers covered him by firing. It seemed to distract her as Ladybug quickly moved to help them. The Indominus moved ad swatted one trooper away before grabbing another and throwing them into a branch. They hit the branch hard before falling to the ground and didn't get back up.

Everyone in the Control Room watched in horror as many of the life lines on the monitor flatlined. They could hear frantic chatter coming from the soldiers that were still fighting. Owen took a look back at Claire who could only watch in horror. He looked to Cat Noir who was still waiting on the elevator. Cat Noir seemed to get ticked off when he shouted, "WHAT'S TAKING THIS THING SO LONG!"

Everyone had turned to him and could see that he was getting really impatient with the waiting.

The battle against the Indominus wasn't going very well as the Indominus kept trampling or tossing ACU troopers like ragdolls. One soldier fired his net at her and it closed her muzzle shut. She growled as she tried to claw off the net and her tail caused a tree to fall over. One of the ACU troopers screamed when it came down at them, but Ladybug was quick to throw her yo-yo around one tree before it came around the falling trunk. It stopped the falling tree from crushing the trooper and they quickly moved out of the way. When they were clear, Ladybug quickly removed her yo-yo and it fell to the ground with a loud thud.

The Indominus was able to get a good grip on the net before ripping it off of her snout. She roared in defiance before knocking a couple of troopers away with her tail. Ladybug was about to throw her yo-yo forward to try and restrain the hybrid dinosaur when she was caught off guard by the sounds of beeping coming from her earrings. She cried out when the Indominus' foot came down on her. Hamada came running in before knocking Ladybug out of the way. Ladybug shouted, "Hamada!"

But she was unable to save him as the hybrid dinosaur's foot came down on him. She watched in horror when the Indominus snapped a man inn her jaws and at him. Another soldier looked to Ladybug and questioned, "What should we do?"

"We need to retreat!" Ladybug said as one of the black spots disappeared. Looking to the remaining troopers she shouted, "Provide cover fire while we get the injured back to the vehicles!

"I'll help too." She said and started spinning her yo-yo as a shield. The trooper looked to those with shock rifles and shouted, "You heard the Parisian Superhero! Provide some cover fire!"

The troopers with shock rifles opened fire to distract her while the others got the injured and dragged them out of there. Ladybug whipped her yo-yo back and forth to make the Indominus back up. When she glanced to see if the others were almost out of there. She saw that most of them had fled while one soldier remained behind. He shouted to Ladybug, "Hurry! This way!"

Ladybug knew that she didn't have time to waste and lured the Indominus to a couple of trees with a narrow opening. The hybrid dinosaur chased her through and got stuck. The Indominus struggled to free herself while Ladybug took the opportunity to escape with the others. She jumped high over the Indominus' head before landing on her back before jumping again. The ladybug-themed heroine landed by the trooper and he said, "Get going! I'll provide cover!"

"No! It's too dangerous!" Ladybug objected, but wasn't given much choice when he pushed her forward. Ladybug gasped when the Indominus was able to free herself and came charging at them. The trooper pushed her again before he opened fire at the Indominus. Ladybug, ashamed of having to run, turned and raced after the others as the trooper kept shooting. The Indominus' jaws came down on him in one bite.

Ladybug joined the other troopers as they had reached the vehicles. Ladybug looked about and asked, "Will they make it?"

"With the right care they should." A trooper nodded. Ladybug looked ashamed and said, "I'm sorry for letting you all down."

"It wasn't your fault Ladybug." Another trooper shook her head. A third agreed by saying, "We had no idea what we were up against."

"We didn't have enough info on her." The first trooper said. They were all confused when he said, "But the akuma and Corey turning into a super villain. Now that was some crazy stuff."

"And it only escalates the problem." Ladybug said with narrowed eyes. They all flinched when they heard the Indominus roar somewhere back in the jungle. The second trooper said, "I think we can talk about it on our way back to the park."

"Agreed." Ladybug and the surviving troopers nodded before climbing into the cars. Another beeping from Ladybug's earrings made the first troop ask, "What's going on with your earrings, Ladybug?"

"It means that I'm about to transform back. And I can't do it in the cars, nor can I stay here to reenergize myself." Ladybug shook her head. The trooper then suggested, "What if we keep our eyes closed and on the road? Would that help?"

"It seems that I'll have to trust you." Ladybug said, not seeing an alternative. The trooper then said, "Sit in the back behind the driver. No one is going to look. I promise."

"Thanks." Ladybug said as she got in. The trooper looked to them all and said, "Okay, eyes shut and cameras off for a few minutes."

"Wait, what's going on?" Another trooper asked. The trooper with Ladybug said, "Trust me. Some secrets don't need to be shared."

Ladybug chuckled while those riding with them complied with orders. The trooper climbed into the driver's seat and they quickly zoomed off before the Indominus could catch up with them.

Author's Note: I hope that battle with an akumatized villain was entertaining enough. I have three other akumatizations in mind and each of them will be more powerful than the last. Things cool down a little in the next chapter and I might just have something awesome planned. I look forward to reading your reviews.
