Chapter Fourteen: Gyrosphere Escape
The two Gyrosphere's rolled about through the valley side by side. As they looked about for any dinosaurs, a small monitor turned on. They looked to see talk show host, Jimmy Fallon introduce himself, "Hey, there, explorers. I'm Jimmy Fallon. And welcome aboard the Gyrosphere.
"An amazing machine made possible by science. Your safety is our main concern while enjoying the ride." He added. While Zach and Chloe rolled their eyes, Gray, Nino and Aly apayed close attention when Jimmy said, "Which is why you're behind our invisible barrier system, which will protect you from things like Dilophosaurus venom."
On the video, he had struck a vial of the stuff with a pointer and an explosive mishap occurred. Those watching were a little shocked to see a glob of the venom on the man's face. He wiped a little off and informed, "One drop of this spit can paralyze you, so watch out for that.
"Is this real?" Jimmy asked one of the people with him. He became very shocked when they told him it was, "It is?"
The man fainted and collapsed to the floor. While Nino laughed a little, none of the others were finding it funny. A second later Jimmy was back on his feet and he continued, "And for some added protection, each of these vehicles is surrounded by aluminum oxynitride glass.
"So tough, it can stop a .50-caliber bullet." He added while whipping out a pistol. He turned to a pane of the glass, and shot at it. Not only did the shock knock the glass over, it created a huge mess as it knocked over some lab equipment on a counter and shattered the glass of a few cabinets as well.
"Well, he sure knows how to make a mess." Nino commented as the video continued. Jimmy, after the lab had been cleaned up, then said, "The Gyroscopic technology will keep you upright at all times so you don't have anything to worry about.
"And as an added feature, the passengers of one Gyrosphere is able to communicate with the passengers of another as long the two spheres are within five to ten feet of each other." Jimmy told them. An icon of a speaker appeared at the bottom of the screen and Jimmy said, "All you have to do is hit the button."
Zach hit the speaker button and then asked, "Can you guys hear us?"
"Loud and clear, Zach." Alya replied back to him when she touched the button. Gray looked about and hit the button, "Where do you think they are?"
"Don't worry, little dude. I'm sure we'll see some of the dinosaurs soon." Nino reassured him. The brothers were a little surprised to hear Chloe say in the back ground, "Well, we better soon. This is starting to get boring. Utterly, boring."
They came around some trees and became very surprised by what they were seeing. Even Zach was wowed when he said, "Oh, man."
"This is so cool!" Alya said over the speaker. Everyone seemed to enjoy the sight as they came upon a mixed herd of herbivorous dinosaurs comprised of Triceratops, Apatosaurus, Stegosaurus and Parasaurolophus. Some of the giants of the past walked by them as the two Gyrospheres went on by. As the five friends looked at the dinosaurs, some of them looked back at the children in the large glass balls.
As they were enjoying the ride and the dinosaurs, their attention was brought to the monitors when it beeped. They looked to see the Jurassic World logo with a bold, red sign that said the ride was closed as a woman's voice said, "Due to technical difficulties all of our exhibits are now closed. Please disembark all rides and return to the resort."
"Ah, man. Bummer." They heard Nino say over the speaker. Alya then wondered aloud, "I wonder what's going on?"
Gray just sighed in disappointment that their amazing time had been cut short. Seeing his little brother disappointed made Zach remember what had happened on the monorail. Deciding to at least try to be a good older brother for the time being, he looked to Gray and said, "Come on, no. We can stay out here a couple more minutes."
"But they said that the ride is closed." Gray reminded him. They heard Alya say over the speaker, "Plus, if we stay out here, we're liable to get into trouble. Let's just head back."
The audio feed cut out when the three-manned Gyrosphere started going a little faster to head back. It seemed to make some of the valley dinosaurs move out of the way. Zach looked to Gray and then he reminded, "Aunt Claire gave us these special wristbands, remember?
"That means we're VIP, dude." His words somewhat made sense to Gray. With a daring and adventurous grin, Zach said, "Come on. It'll be fun.
"Trust me." He said before pushing the joy stick and the Gyrosphere started to go faster. It made the dinosaurs around them start running as the brother's Gyrosphere started to veer to the left a little.
Up ahead, Alya looked about when she noticed that the dinosaurs were running. She looked back and saw that Zach and Gray weren't following behind them. She then questioned, "What are they doing?"
"What do you mean?" Nino asked before glancing back. Alya then lightly slapped his hand from the stick and it made him yelp in slight pain and surprise. He looked to his girlfriend and questioned, "What was that for?"
"Sorry, Nino." Alya said as she took over the driving. She gave her boyfriend a playful wink when she said, "But I feel that you'd drive like a grandma trying to catch up to them."
That made Chloe laugh pretty hard as she thought it was funny. But then she and Nino held onto their seats when Alya quickly turned around before chasing after the brother's Gyrosphere.

Back in the Control Room, Claire was watching the many monitors as her decisions were bringing the tourists back into the safety of the park. But as she looked at each screen, she couldn't help but worry about Zach and Gray. In one of the screens she saw a child reunite with her parents. Deciding to make sure that they were safe, Claire stepped away for a moment and took out her cell phone. She dialed for Zara and waited a moment. When it picked up, she said, "Zara. I need you to bring the boys back to the hotel right away.
"And try to find Adrien, please." She added. But she became confused when she heard Zara say, "I don't know where they…
"I've been looking everywhere for Zach and Gray. I've gotten a little help but everything is falling apart. It's been quite a while now." Zara frantically said. Claire tried to get her to calm down by saying, "Slow down, Zara. I can't hear you clearly."
"Zach and Gray. They've gone missing." Zara said, making Claire's eyes widened in panic. It made her question, "They did what?"
"I have some of the French Students that they met with earlier and Adrien's bodyguard with me. But we haven't seen them since earlier." Zara said. Claire, frantic now, hung up on Zara and dialed Zach's number. She waited for it to pick up.

In the Gyrosphere Valley, Zach had slowed the ride down to let Gray enjoy it as much as he could. His cell phone suddenly went off and he took it out to answer it. When he saw who it was he pushed the button, and spoke, "Hey, Claire."
"Zach, thank God. Is Gray with you?" She asked him. Gray looked to his brother and Zach said, "Yeah, I can't really hear you. We're in the giant hamster ball. And we're with some of the French Students that we met with earlier today."
"Okay. Zach, you need to listen to me." Claire said and the line started to get fuzzy. His aunt's voice became distorted when she said, "I need you to…"
"Hello?" Zach asked when the line started cutting out. Soon it went dead and Zach pushed the button, "Hm."
"What did she say?" Gray asked him. Zach shook his head, "I'm not sure. The line got all distorted."
"Well, Alya's coming up behind us." Gray informed and pointed behind him. Zach looked back to see the three-manned Gyrosphere coming up behind them. A mischevious grin grew on Zach's face when he suggested to Gray, "How about a little Cat and Mouse."
"It's just going to make Alya want to hit you." Gray warned him. Zach laughed and said, "I'm willing to take the risk."
Zach made his Gyrosphere go faster again and they zoomed across the valley floor again. From the three-manned Gyrosphere, the three were confused as Chloe questioned, "Just what is he thinking? Slowing down only to speed up again when he sees us? Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous."
"For once, I might have to agree with you, Chloe." Alya said as she kept the stick forward. This surprised Nino as he looked to his girlfriend with wide eyes.

In the Control Room, Claire walked up to Lowery and looked down at him monitor startling him. Claire then asked, "Are there any Gyrosphere's left in the Valley? There should be at least two."
"No, they're all accounted for. It's my job." Lowery said as he gestured to screen. But two of the Gyrospheres turned red as they moved away from the Gyrostation. Then he said, "Okay, yeah. There's two still in the field."
Claire then moved to Vivian and ordered, "I need you to send a team of rangers to the valley, bring both Gyrospheres back in."
"Yes, ma'am." Vivian nodded. She pressed a button and said, "Security, we need a search and rescue in the Gyrosphere Valley."
"It's gonna be a while, ma'am. We've out our hands full out here." The man said and Claire wasn't liking it. She grabbed another headset and said, "No, no, no, there are two guests missing! You need to make this your top priority!"
"Just do it, man." Lowery shook his head, knowing that this wasn't going to end well. The man countered, "We have a lot of missing guests. We're doing the best that we can."
"Okay. Fine. I'll just do it myself." Claire angrily said as she threw the headset down. Vivian shook her head, knowing that things were really falling apart. Claire moved away from the consoles when an elderly voice said, "Perhaps you already know the answer to your troubles."
Claire looked down to the man to see an old Chinese man wearing a security guard's uniform. This confused Claire as she had never met this man before. But he was pointing to the giant monitors behind her. Claire looked to the man for a second to what he was pointing at. One of the monitors had Owen, Cat Noir and Ladybug trying to deal with one of the tourists. The Raptor Trainer yelled at a man, "Hey, do you think an autograph is really best at the moment.
"Back off!" Claire suddenly knew what the old man was saying and quickly ran for the elevator. The disguised Master Fu grinned as he slowly followed after her to lend whatever help he could.

Back in the Valley, the two Gyrospheres continued zooming through the plains. But Zach started slowing down when he saw something up ahead. He wondered aloud, "Gee, what happened here?"
Gray turned to look and they came upon a broken gate in the perimeter fence. It almost looked as if something ripped the door open. Before they could do anything else, Alya, Nino and Chloe's Gyrosphere pulled up next to them. They looked to see a ticked off Alya pointing to their monitor. Gray could guess what she was wanting and pushed the speaker button. They were both startled when she yelled, "Have to the two of you lost it?"
"Woah, what happened here?" They heard Nino ask over the speaker. Alya growled, "Nino."
"Yeah, get your own lines." Zach said with a grin. That just made Nino groan in aggravation. They heard Chloe question, "Could we get going please? There's much more important things that I could be doing right now."
"As much as I hate to agree with her, Chloe's right." Alya said. She pointed back the direction they came, "We need to be heading back."
"Or, we could go off road." Zach suggested, thinking it would be fun. But none of the others seemed to agree as Alya shook her head, "No, way! There is no way that we're leaving the perimeter of the fence."
"And they told us to go back." Gray added, knowing that they could get into serious trouble, especially with their aunt. Zach sighed and said, "I'm just worried that you guys aren't getting the full Jurassic World experience."
"It ain't worth it, dude." Nino disagreed. Zach smirked as he knew that he might have a way to get to them to go through. Looking to the blonde in the three-manned sphere he said, "I didn't know that the adventurous Queen Bee wouldn't want to take a few risks.
"Maybe she's just all talk." Gray's eyes widened from what he just said. They both winced when Chloe shouted, "What?!
"I, Chloe Bourgeois, also the infamous Queen Bee, am so adventurous." Chloe shot back. Zach looked to Gray with the same smirk when he challenged, "Prove it."
"Fine then!" Chloe shouted before kicking at the stick with her foot. They heard Alya shout, "Chloe, no!"
They heard Nino scream as the three-manned Gyrosphere shot around them and went through the opening. The brothers watched as they went further into the forest before they turned to each other. Zach raised a finger to his lips and made a shushing noise before following after them.

Back in the Innovation Center, people were still milling about after most of the rides had been closed. A child used one of the holo-pads and a hologram of a Velociraptor activated. The moving image of the dinosaur gave a screech as a frantic Claire walked through the crowd and went through the hologram. Behind her, the disguised Master Fu followed behind while Wayzz peeked out from his shirt pocket. She had a worried look as she searched for Ladybug, Cat Noir and Owen. Claire didn't have to search for long as the trio came up to her and Owen said, "Claire!"
She turned to see them walking up to her before sighing with relief. Well, Owen had a much easier time as Ladybug and Cat Noir were still being swamped by fans. They were able to slip away and when the walked up, Claire said, "I need you. I need all of you to help me. Please."
"Really, you want our help now?" A skeptical Cat Noir asked. He was elbowed by Ladybug and she said through clenched teeth, "Cat!"
"No, he's right." Claire nodded, acknowledging that she at least should have tried to listen. But then shaking her head she said, "But I just really need help."
"Okay." Owen said, knowing that she wasn't kidding. Claire then said, "My nephews and their friends. Some of the French Students. They're still out in the Valley. Please, if anything were to happen to them…"
"We can help." Ladybug agreed and they walked to a part where there was less surveillance. Owen then asked, "How old are your nephews?"
"Uh, the older one, he's about a high schooler's age. And the younger one, he's about, um… He's a few years…" Claire tried to describe when she raised her right hand. Owen thought it a little funny when he asked, "You don't know how old your nephews are?"
Claire stopped and though she was a little ticked off on how he said, she knew that he had a point. Ladybug then asked her, "And the French Students with them?"
"I don't know." Claire shook her head. A familiar voice to at least three of them said, "Perhaps I can be of service."
They looked to see the disguised Master Fu standing there. Ladybug started to say, "Mas-"
She clamped her hands over her mouth to avoid giving too much away. Even Cat Noir seemed to recognize him, but kept silent. Claire then asked, "Have you been following me?"
"Yes, but with good reason." Master Fu nodded. Claire shook her head, "Look…"
"Perhaps, we should trust him." Ladybug interjected. They all looked to her and she said, "Maybe he can shed some light that'll help us."
"Indeed." Master Fu nodded and smiled to Ladybug. Claire took a deep breath before agreeing with a nod. Master Fu then said, "The French Students who were with your nephews was a blonde girl in a yellow jacket, a boy with a red cap and headphones around his neck and a girl with a plaid shirt."
"Alya, Nino and Chloe." Ladybug and Cat Noir said at the same time. Even Owen seemed to grow worried when he said, "I met two of those three earlier today. But who's Chloe exactly?"
"She's the daughter of Mayor Bourgeois." Ladybug clarified for him. Master Fu the said, "If you wish to find them, then we'll need to hurry."
"We?" All four asked, confused as he turned to walk away. Master Fu looked back and raised his hand, "Sure, I've got some keys to one of the cars."
He opened his palm and a set of keys came into view. Seeing as it wouldn't hurt, Owen said, "Okay. I'll drive."
"As you wish." Master Fu said before tossing him the keys. When he caught them the five started making their way to get to the cars to begin their search.

Past the torn door, the five had gone deep into the jungles of island. Chloe had calmed down enough to move her foot and give the stick back to Alya. Zach and Gray's Gyrosphere had caught up to them. Their speakers came back on and the trio heard Gray say, "No, no. Bad idea, this is a bad idea."
"No, this was a great idea." Zach countered as they were covered in the shade of the towering trees. Alya then said, "You must be a few ounces short of a full can of soda if you think everything's gonna be okay after this."
"She's right." Gray agreed with her. He became worried when he said, "We're all gonna get ourselves arrested. They're going to shave our heads and then we'll have to make root beer in the toilet."
"Ew." Both Alya and Nino cringed at the thought. Chloe then leaned forward and defiantly said, "No one is going to touch my hair."
"And what are you talking about?" They heard Zach question his brother. They soon came upon a new sight of dinosaurs. A small herd of Ankylosaurs were roaming about in the forest grazing. Nino looked to the others and wondered, "Think they came through the broken door?"
"Maybe." Alya shrugged while some of the Ankylosaurs bellowed as they lumbered about. Zach then said, "See you guys? I told you that I'd get you the full Jurassic World experience.
"I mean, who else could up close to five dinosauruses like this." He said, like he was showing them off. Gray shook his head as he corrected and reminded, "Ankylosaurus. We shouldn't be out here.
"And there are five dinosaurs." He said, confusing all four of the teens. Nino then asked, "Uh, you sure about the number of dinosaurs, little dude?"
"Yeah, aren't you supposed to be some kind of genius?" Zach agreed. Then pointing to the Ankylosaurs he counted, "One, two, three, four."
"Five." Gray said when he pointed to the glass of the Gyrosphere. Zach looked and could see something in the reflection. Even in their Gyrosphere, Alya, Nino, and Chloe could see something in the reflection as well. That feeling that they were in a horror movie setting came about them as chills ran down their spines. All five slowly looked back to see a large mass of white slowly appear and gave a low growl. The Indominus then gave a loud roar that not only scared the kids, but the Ankylosaurs as they started running in fear. Gray and Nino screamed, "Go, go, go!"
"Oh, crud!" Alya said as she and Zach put the pedal to the medal. Both Gyrospheres took off like rockets to get away from the predator. Nino looked back and questioned, "What kind of dinosaur is that?"
"I have no idea!" Alya shouted as she was only focused on getting away from it. But Grey and Zach's sphere ended up getting kicked by the Indominus and it was sent spinning out of control. The boys screamed as it spun into the trio's sphere and like a giant game of pin ball they bounced off the trees.
"Hold it together, man!" Zach shouted as a screaming Gray clung to his arm.
The Indominus watched the two Gyrospheres bounce off the trees and the Ankylosaurs and seemed to find it a little amusing. But then she noticed the Ankylosaurs and how one was starting to turn back and face her. They were able to get their spheres to stop and everyone took a deep breath to calm themselves. They watched as the brave Ankylosaur defiantly roared at the towering Indominus. The hybrid dinosaur roared back before charging forward. Gray urged his brother to get them out of there, "Drive! Drive! Go!"
"Same here, Alya!" Both Nino and Chloe agreed with the former shaking their driver. The two Gyrospheres started moving again. But as Alya steered hers away from the battle her way, Zach tried going around the Ankylosaur. It turned out to be a mistake as the herbivore's tail slammed into their sphere and created a large fracture in the glass as it sent the screaming boys rolling backwards. They ended up crashing into the roots of a tree and it disabled the gyroscope in the machinery as the boys found themselves upside down. Zach tried to get them upright, but the Gyrosphere wouldn't respond to the controls.
From where they were, Nino looked back and became wide eyed. He looked to Alya and said, "Zach and Gray are in trouble!"
Alya and Chloe looked back and they both gasped. Alya quickly turned the Gyrosphere around and headed back to help them. Nino looked to his girlfriend and asked, "So, um, what's the plan exactly?"
"Even I feel like there should be a plan." Chloe put in. She could be really mean at times, but she wasn't that stupid. Alya didn't take her eyes off the Indominus and said, "We're going to distract that thing and get it away from the boys." She shrugged when she added, "And away from the smaller dinosaur."
"But, Alya, how-" Nino started to ask before he started screaming as the Gyrosphere slammed into the Indominus' leg. The hybrid dinosaur glanced down at the three French Students, but it ended up costing her. The Ankylosaurus took the distraction as an opportunity to turn fully turn and smacked her tail into the Indominus' head. The hybrid dinosaur cringed from the blow before using one of her back legs to kick the French Students' Gyrosphere away. They ended up slamming into their own tree, but didn't end up like the brothers.
"Okay, now what?" Nino asked, not knowing what to do. Secretly, all three of them were wishing that they had access to their Miraculous right now. They looked to see both the Ankylosaur and the Indominus still going at it. Chloe then suggested, "Since the two dinosaurs are fighting, maybe we could try to get the brothers and make a run for it."
"That's a terrible plan." Alya said and it made the daughter of the mayor of Paris pout. But since they couldn't think of anything else Alya said, "But it's a plan nonetheless, so let's go for it."
Chloe seemed to perk up from this and the three unbuckled themselves. Nino then asked, "How do we get ourselves out of this?"
"If only we had Cat Noir's Cataclysm." Chloe wished, knowing that it would be able to get them out. Alya then said, "Or…"
She pushed a button on the console and the doors opened up. She seemed a little proud when she said, "We could push the button."
"Show off." Chloe said before the three of them scrambled to get out. They made their way around the tree behind the Gyrosphere and looked at the battle. The Ankylosaurus was able to land another bash of her tail against the Indominus. The hybrid shook the blow off and tried to bite down on the herbivore's back but couldn't because of the armored back.
The trio made their move and started running around the battle and made sure to steer clear of the two fighting dinosaurs. But as she was running, the heels to Chloe's shoes broke and she tripped. She yelped as she fell to the ground. Nino looked back before running back to help her. Chloe turned her shoes to look at the damage and saw that both heels broke off. She let out a scream of distress at her ruined shoes. Nino grabbed her by the arm and yanked her back to her feet, "You can worry about that later! Come on!"
The French Students were able to go around the battling dinosaurs and made it to the tree that Zach and Gray's Gyrosphere were up against. They slowly came around and Alya and Nino tried to pry open the door while Chloe kept an eye on the two fighting giants.
It seemed to be going well for the armored dinosaur as she was able to shake the Indominus off of her. But when the Ankylosaur went in for another tail strike, the Indominus was able to avoid another strike from the clubbed tail by stepping back with the swing. The hybrid dinosaur was able to get the drop on her prey as she was able to grab a hold of the Ankylosaur with one hand and reached her other arm around. Then in one quick movement, she was able to wound the Ankylosaur with a slash up the back leg. The Ankylosaurus bellowed in pain and fell on her wounded limb. Zach, Alya and Nino were still trying to get them out of there while Gray and Chloe watched the battle end. The Indominus used her head to roll the wounded Ankylosaurus on her back. The herbivore struggled to get back up, but the Indominus stopped her by placing a foot against her belly and grabbing her prey's head with her jaws. Then with a quick turn, the Indominus ended the Ankylosaurus' suffering.
All five cringed at the sight and looked away. Gray looked to the three and whispered, "Get us out of here!"
"We need something to pry open the door!" Alya whispered back. The sound of a cell phone vibrating made them all slowly look down to see Zach's damaged phone sliding about as it vibrated. Knowing that it was a problem, Zach quietly started to reach for it.

The five had managed to find a car big enough for them and headed out from the resort. Owen and Claire were up front while Ladybug, Cat Noir and the disguised Master Fu were in the back. Up in the passenger seat, Claire was trying to call Zach's cell. She could only hear it ringing and said, "Come on, Zach. Pick up, pick up, pick up."
In the back, Ladybug was wondering if she should try to call Alya, but knew that if she did, it could give her away. Very carefully, Master Fu wrote something on two separate note pads before handing them to Ladybug and Cat Noir. Both heroes looked at what he wrote. Both note pads said:
Why don't you use your power ups?
Both Cat Noir and Ladybug wrote their responses on the note pads. When they finished, they handed them to Master Fu. He looked down at them and even Wayzz peeked to take a look. The responses were:
We kind of forgot them back home.
Master Fu sighed as he knew that it wasn't going to be easy. But he did know to have trust in his chosen holders. Claire gave an aggravated sigh as she hung up the phone. She shook her head, "I couldn't get a hold of them."
"Don't worry, we'll find them." Owen promised. He looked in the rear-view mirror and said, "Right?"
"Mm-hmm." Both Ladybug and Cat Noir agreed with a nod. Even though he was silent, Master Fu promised that he would try to help as well.

Back in the Gyrosphere, Zach was still trying to reach for his phone that was still vibrating from constant calls and messages. Chloe glanced back to the Indominus and her eyes widened. She tapped on Nino's shoulder and he turned to look. He became just as scared when he lightly shook Alya. She looked and her eyes widened from what they were seeing. Inside, Gray looked too and his eyes widened with fear. He couldn't move his eyes away when he said, "Zach."
"I almost got it." Zach said as he could nearly reach the phone. Gray called out again, "Zach, look."
"What?" Zach said before looking away from the phone. He became just as scared as the others as they were all looking into the red eyes of the Indominus Rex. The hybrid dinosaur had moved away from the Ankylosaurus' body and was currently laying on her belly She growled as she looked between them and blinked while looking between those trapped and those on the outside. Alya, Nino and Chloe all backed up as Chloe then quietly asked, "Uh, what should we do?"
"I feel like running, but that's not really a good idea at the moment." Nino said as he couldn't stop shaking in fear. Alya then reminded, "Plus, we still need to get Zach and Gray out."
They all stiffened when the Indominus lifted herself off the ground and took a step towards them. Zach quietly said, "Oh, no."
Even though Alya, Nino and Chloe started to back away, the Indominus seemed to be more fixated on the trapped brothers. Alya picked up a rock and was about to throw it when the Indominus growled at her. Nino lowered her hand and they continued backing away. Alya looked back and said, "We have to distract her somehow?"
"By doing what? Dress in drag and do the Hula?" Chloe questioned and it earned some glances from the two.
The Indominus walked around the upside down Gyrosphere and placed her hands on the clear sphere. The brothers became worried as she twisted the giant hamster ball with a slight motion of her clawed hands. When they were facing away from the trio, the Indominus then rolled the sphere to where the boys were looking upwards and slammed the middle claw of her right hand through the glass. The brothers shielded their eyes from the shards and whimpered when the Indominus moved them to where she could see into their terrified faces. Zach and Gray started screaming as she opened her jaws wide and lowered her head. But thanks to the glass, she was denied the brothers as she couldn't get to them.
"It looks like they have a little protection." Nino said, feeling a little relieved. Chloe pointed and said, "Not for long they won't."
Both Nino and Alya gasped as the Indominus started to put a little pressure on the glass with her jaws. The Gyrosphere's glass couldn't take it as cracks continuously ran through the sphere and even more so when her teeth broke through. The brothers screamed again as she lifted her head and started harshly bringing her head back down. Cracks formed on the bottom of the sphere when she repeated the action. An idea came to Zach as he started to unbuckle him and Gray. When she had raised her head again a third time, they dropped out of the broken Gyrosphere and grunted when they landed on the ground. Just as the Indominus was about to bring it down again, Zach quickly shielded Gray as glass shattered around them. The hybrid dinosaur raised her head again and the other three shouted, "Run! Come on! Run!"
Zach and Gray didn't need to be told twice as they got up and ran before the Indominus could do it again. When she slammed the remains of the Gyrosphere again, the Indominus wrestled the wreckage from her jaws as all five of them started to run off. When she was free, the hybrid dinosaur pushed the wrecked vehicle away and roared at the fleeing humans before starting to give chase.
All five broke through the tree line and ran through a small field. They ran as fast as they could to get away from them. They all looked back to see the Indominus emerge from the forest after them. Chloe huffed as turned her head while she ran, "I'm actually glad that my heels broke."
"So glad that you could get some cardio in properly." Zach sarcastically said as they kept running. A frightful Nino said, "This is not how I expected my Jurassic World experience to go."
"I feel ya, Nino." Gray agreed, even though he didn't stop. Alya then urged, "Just shut up and run!"
The five did just that even though the Indominus kept chasing them. They soon came to a cliff and had to stop from going over. They saw All five looked back to the Indominus to see that she was still coming towards them. Alya looked to the other four and said, "I think we all know what we have to do."
"But my hair." Chloe whined. Zach then reminded, "It's either your hair or your life, Chloe. But we need to jump now."
"But-" Gray started to say. But he didn't get to finish as Zach grabbed his arm. Alya and Nino grabbed onto Chloe before all five jumped over the cliff. They narrowly escaped the Indominus' jaws when she snapped at them. All five landed in the water with a huge splash. Up at the top of the cliff, the Indominus was leaning over the edge and watched and waited to see if they would surface again, her tail wagging behind her as she thought it was thrilling. Below the surface of the water, everyone was trying to keep under so they wouldn't be seen. Above the water, the Indominus didn't seem to see any sign of the teens. And after a moment more, she gave a loud growl before backing away from the edge. She gave a disappointed roar before walking away from the cliff.
A moment after she walked away, all five of them burst through the water and took a deep breath. They looked up the cliff to see that she was gone and heard another roar in the distance. Alya the said, "Swim for the shore."
"No arguments there." Nino said and the five made their way. Everyone was panting even when they could feel solid ground underneath their feet again. They walked onto the shore and away from the water before falling on their faces or rears in exhaustion. Zach looked to them all and said, "You all okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." Alya nodded between breaths. Nino gave a thumbs up while Chloe said, "I think I'll live."
"Gray?" Zach asked when he looked to his brother. Though still a little scared, Gray looked to his older brother and nodded. A smile formed and he said, "You did well, back there, little brother."
"Heh, thanks." Gray said with a grin. Zach looked to the French Students and thought to himself. He took a deep breath before saying, "I'm sorry for dragging you all into that."
"We can talk about it later." Alya said as she got up to her feet. She looked about and said, "Right now, we need to head back to the park and let someone know about that thing back there."
"But how will we know where to go?" Gray asked while they all stood up again. He shook his head, "We can't go back the way we came. She's probably to still be there."
"Little dude's got a point." Nino agreed with a nod. Zach then suggested, "Maybe we should look around a bit. See if there's something that could someone from the park's attention or get us back."
"That's about the smartest thing I've heard you say all day." Chloe commented while wringing her hair out. Alya then said, "Well, it's a plan. And it's better than nothing at least."
"Then let's go." Zach said and they all walked into the jungles of Isla Nublar. The five friends just hoped that they wouldn't be running into anything else dangerous out here.

Author's Note: I think this is one of the longest chapters out of the whole story. Not only that, but we're basically halfway through too. I was planning for someone to be tagging along with Zach and Gray and I think I made the right choice in Alya, Nino and Chloe. And since I believe that I'm ahead of schedule, I'm going to focus on a different story or two. Just for a little bit. I promise that I'll back on board with this story before too long.
