A/N: I know that the title of this chapter is pretty on the nose, but I find it to be pretty spot on for what's about to happen.

Chapter Sixteen: Masrani Decides to Fight
The five continued walking through the ruins of the old Visitor Center. Zach held the torch made out of cloth and bone before them as they passed through the cafeteria again. They walked close to a mural on the wall that depicted some of the dinosaurs from the old park. Zach, Alya and Nino all brushed their hands against a part of the mural that had a Velociraptor. Chloe followed behind while Gray stopped a moment to look at the mural. When he remained behind a bit too long, Zach looked back and called out, "Gray!"
The younger brother's head turned to him and he quickly hurried to catch up to the others. While the others were a good few feet ahead of them, Gray was soon walking side by side with Chloe. The daughter of the mayor glanced to the little boy and her mind wondered back to the conversation on the train. At first, the heiress didn't want to think too much on it, but now after they had been through, she felt like doing something. With a deep breath she said to him, "Hey."
"Huh?" Gray asked and looked to Chloe. Chloe then said, "I kind of know what it's like to go through a rough time when dealing with parents. When my mother had left for New York, I was so sad to see her go.
"But somehow I knew, that she'd come back to me in the end." Chloe smiled as she remembered how close she and her mother had become after her first outing as Queen Bee. She kept that smile when she said, "Maybe. Just maybe things will work out."
"Thanks." Was all that Gray could say with a small smile. They came upon another hallway and Alya noticed something, "There's sunlight up ahead."
They all hurried through the corridor before coming to a room that was open to the jungles of the island. Nino fiddled with the brim of his cap when he guessed, "I guess we found the garage of the place."
"So it would seem." Zach said before dropping the bone on the ground and stamping the fire to put it out. They looked about the room as Zach, Nino and Alya all inspected the vehicles in there. Over on a table, Zach picked up an old set of goggles. He pushed a button and the lenses of the goggles whirred as they extended. It seemed to startle Gray enough to put them back down. He looked over to the car facing the door and said, "It's a 1992 Jeep Wrangler Sahara, Sand Beige."
"And judging from the shape that this jeep is in." Alya said as she and ZZach inspected the vehicle. She looked to him and said, "It looks to be in a lot better shape than the vehicles outside."
"Depends on what we find under the hood." Zach pointed out and proceeded to do just that. He popped the hood and nodded to see that it was mostly intact. He nodded, "Engine looks good. All it probably needs is a fresh battery."
"I think we know where to find one." Alya reminded with a grin. Chloe shrugged when she pointed out, "But, none of us are mechanics."
"Hm." Nino said as he thought about it. Zach suddenly remembered something and looked to Gray and asked, "Do you remember when we fixed up Grandpa's old Malibu?"
"Yeah." Gray nodded as he remembered. Chloe gestured to them and said, "Ladies and gentlemen, our mechanics."
The brothers didn't say anything as they headed back to the destroyed Jurassic World cars to get what they needed. Alya headed for the door and said, "I'm gonna be right back."
"For what?" Nino asked, seeing that they didn't need anything else. Alya quickly turned around and came to hand Nino the binder. With a serious look she said, "Do not let anything happen to this, Nino. We all know that this needs to get to Ladybug and Cat Noir as soon as possible."
"You can count on me." Nino nodded and took the binder. Alya smiled and she gave him a small kiss to the cheek. She quickly turned and ran to do whatever it was she was planning to do. Nino kept smiling until Chloe commented, "Uh, can't the two of you get a room once in a while."
Her comment could only make Nino sigh.

Back in Jurassic World, the park was much more busier now that all the guests had returned. People were flooding through the streets and the chatter from everyone was great as well. No one knew what was going on. Not even Zara, the Gorilla or the rest of the French Students who could hardly move through the crowds. Alix growled and commented, "Ugh! This is getting ridiculous."
"Utterly ridiculous is something that Chloe would say." Rose said before laughing a little. While they thought it was a little funny, the others didn't laugh. Max then shook his head, "I don't understand why the technical issue hasn't been resolved yet."
"Maybe it isn't a normal technical difficulty." Kim shrugged, couldn't think of anything better. Ivan then suggested, "Why don't you go up to an official and ask them?"
"I guess I could do it." Max said before walking off. The rest of the French Students who looked to see Zara still in a frantic state as she paced back and forth in front of the Gorilla. Zara anxiously groaned and said, "Oh, where could those boys be?"
"Who are you looking for?" A laid back male voice said from behind. Zara looked back to see a man in casual white clothes walking through the crowd of people. Zara became quite upset when she crossed her arms, "So nice of you to finally come by, Zeke."
"Hey, it's not my fault that I didn't get any word from you." Zeke argued back at her. Zara's hands moved to her hips and she said, "Correction, I did leave you a multitude of messages."
"Oh, yeah." Zeke said, acting a bit like a teenager. But he stopped when he saw the Gorilla rise to his feet behind Zara. Though intimidated by the man's bigger size, Zeke still played it off by waving his hand, "Pssh! Whatever.
"So, where are the little runts that we're supposed to be looking for?" The slacker questioned. Zara the scolded, "Maybe if you had been here on time, we wouldn't need to look for them."
The French Students watched as Zara and Zeke continued to argue amongst themselves.

In his secret lair, Hawk Moth could feel many negative emotions coming from the park. And with each passing moment, the negative emotions continued to only get stronger. With a maniacal laugh he said, "Soon, I will unleash more chaos upon this park.
"And soon, I will get my hands on Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous." He laughed as the unaffected akumas fluttered about the hideout.

Back in the Control Room of Jurassic World, Masrani was standing behind Vivian and Lowery. Lowery couldn't really understand it when he said, "Every time that this thing kills or gets into a fight, she move further south.
"She's heading right for the park." He observed her current trajectory with a shake of his head. Masrani shook his own head when he asked, "Why would she do that? Why would she come here?"
"She can sense thermal radiation. She must be able to sense them all." Vivian deduced from what they learned of the hybrid dinosaur's biology. She looked up at the map and said, "Our emergency measures have just put all of the warm bodies in one place."
"Then we need to come up with something fast." Lowery pointed out, knowing that they were putting the tourists in danger. Simon Masrani nodded as he knew that he was right.
They looked back when they heard the elevator ding. It opened up to reveal Vic Hoskins and Lila Rossi. The guard stepped forward and said, "Sir, I'm gonna need to…"
"InGen." Vic said when he raised his badge to the man. He gestured to the teen behind him and added, "And she's with me."
"Thank you." Lila said with a nod before following after Vic. Simon turned to them and Vic introduced himself, "Vic Hoskins."
"I know who you are." Masrani said to cut the pleasantries aside. He looked behind their guest and saw Lila. He said, "And you are one of the French Students."
"Yes, sir." Lila nodded with her grin. Simon looked back to Hoskins and asked, "And why are you here?"
"I've been working for two years on an application for the Velociraptor project." Vic reminded the CEO. Pointing to the monitor he said, "They can go out to hunt and kill that creature that's running around."
"But your program was test their intelligence. See what they could learn." Simon reminded him. Vic nodded and said, "Yeah, it was. And we did learn from them. We learned that they can follow orders.
"So, you see, the solution to your current crisis is standing right in front of you." Hoskins said as he gestured to himself. Masrani looked to him for a moment before looking to Lila. Then he moved around Hoskins and asked the teen, "And you are here because?"
Lila looked to Hoskins and he gave a calm nod. Lila then took a deep breath before saying, "Because I honestly think that you should consider Vic's proposal.
"And if I may ask you something, Mr. Masrani." Lila said as she turned and looked to the monitor. She glanced back and asked with a dark grin, "I've seen the footage of Ladybug on the island. And I just have to ask; what has she done to resolve this crisis?
"Does she even know what's going on?" She added the question. Simon nodded and said, "Yes, she is currently aware of the situation.
"I even asked for her help in dealing with it." He said in defense of the heroine. But Lila countered by asking, "And yet, the hybrid is still on the loose, isn't it?"
"There were a few complications." Simon defended the heroine. He explained, "The operation probably could have gone much smoother without the interference of Hawk Moth."
"Hawk Moth's on the island?" Vic asked, totally not expecting this. Simon nodded and said, "Yes. I have some live and well ACU members searching the island for him."
"Well, that's all well and good." Lila said as she dragged her hand against the railing. She glanced to the CEO and asked, "But it still doesn't change the fact that Ladybug had failed in her mission."
"Her and Cat Noir have done their best." Masrani's voice slightly raised when he defended them. This surprised the two and Lila continued, "Why waste time on relying on heroes who aren't even here when you could get the job done with someone who knows what they're doing?"
Vic smiled to know that someone was on his side. Simon didn't even think about considering it. With a shake of his head he said, "Let me be as clear as I can with the two of you.
"No Velociraptors will be set loose upon this island." He firmly stood his ground. Looking solely on Lila he added, "I know not what of this web of false facts you try to spin, but your words will not sway me."
Lila, who had been completely shocked by the man's words, glared at the man and clenched her fists. Vic then spoke up, "This is insane and you know it.
"You've got little over twenty thousand people here." He said when he gestured to the monitor. He nodded when he thought it was bad, "That's still a lot of people.
"And what are you gonna do. They have no place to go." Vic pointed out. With a shrug he added, "And I'm willing to bet that they don't know what's going on?"
"Is that a threat?" Masrani questioned, his anger starting to rise. Vic gave a small smirk when he said, "Easy there, sir. I didn't mean to make it sound like that."
Simon Masrani took a deep breath to avoid letting his emotions run wild. From behind the CEO, neither Vivian nor Lowery were liking how this situation was going. Masrani then said, "I will personally look into your project to determine its viability within the moral principles of this company."
Seeing that it was a step up, Vic nodded, "Okay, boss.
"So, what's the plan now?" He asked a good question. Simon thought for a moment as he looked to the monitor. Deciding to take Owen, Cat Noir and Ladybug's words to heart he said, "I'm going to go take matters into my own hands."
"Does that mean?" Lowery asked, thinking what Simon was thinking. Masrani nodded and said, "Yes." Pointing to Vivian he ordered, "Contact what ACU officers that are available and have a chopper loaded with the M134. And tell them to await for my arrival."
"Yes, sir." Vivian said before getting started. Simon headed for the elevator as he personally would see to the matter. Lila leaned to Vic and asked, "Uh, what exactly is happening?"
"They're going to use live ammunition against the Indominus." Vic said, realizing that his project wouldn't be tested any time soon.

Outside on the helipad of the Control Room, ACU was quickly complying with the orders given from Masrani. They finished attaching a stand to the side of the chopper before attaching the gun. Another ACU trooper walked up and placed a bullet belt into the gun.
The door to the helipad opened up and both Simon Masrani and Vivian came walking out. Simon had removed his over shirt and was rolling up his sleeves as he walked. Worried for her boss she said, "Mr. Masrani, I can't get a hold of your flight instructor."
"Never mind." Simon shook his head. He handed her the over shirt while climbing up the stairs, "He's most likely caught up in the evacuation with everyone else."
"And you're sure that there's nobody else who can fly a helicopter?" Vivian asked while holding the over shirt close. After opening the pilot side door, Simon took a flight helmet before looking back. He was confident in himself when he said, "We don't need anyone else.
"Keep the radio channel open." He ordered before climbing in. Vivian watched as he shut the door and prepared for take-off. She stepped back a little when the chopper started lifting up into the air. The chopper flew forward a little before turning to head for the Indominus Rex.

Down in Hawk Moth's lair, he took the time to use his cane to contact Nathalie. When it went through he heard, "Hello?"
"Any news, Nathalie?" Hawk Moth requested and waited a moment. Nathalie then said, "Apparently, all the tourists are sitting in one place within the resort. This will only attract the Indominus due to her heat sensing abilities. Which would kind of put Adrien and his friends in the line of fire, wouldn't it."
"I have faith that he's being well cared for." Hawk Moth felt, even though he was starting to get worried. He then said, "I'll be calling again for another update."
"Yes, sir." He heard Nathalie say before the connection was cut off.

Back at the old Visitor's Center, Zach and Gray worked on getting a fresh battery from one of the wrecks. Zach steadily attempted to remove the battery from underneath the hood of the car while Gray kept a look out. The younger brother couldn't help but be nervous the longer that they were out in the open. Zach was able to get the part free from the wreckage and pull it out. A twig snapped and both brothers looked about to see if the hybrid dinosaur was out there. Zach then wondered aloud, "I wonder if it's out there?"
His question seemed to make Gray even more worried. Zach looked to his brother and could tell that he was really scared. Deciding to be a big brother and calm him he said, "I mean, I do know for a fact that it is definitely not out there, all right?
"We're totally safe. And we won't be out for much longer." He added as he held the battery with both hands. It seemed to work as Gray felt a little better despite their situation. Zach then said, "Here, go on and take this inside.
"I'll watch from behind." He said, going to bring up the rear. Zach handed it to Gray and he moved to where he could hold it better. With a smile he added, "You're a lot stronger than me."
Gray could only smile as he walked ahead of his older brother. Zach looked about the jungle and followed after younger brother.

Ladybug and Cat Noir's group was still traversing the jungle in their search for the five. But as they walked behind Claire, Owen and the disguised Master Fu, the air between Ladybug and Cat Noir seemed a little tense. Cat Noir looked to his crime fighting partner and asked, "Okay, milady. We've been out here for a good while and I can tell that you have something that you want to say to me."
"It can wait." Ladybug said as she kept a lookout in the jungle. Cat Noir shook his head, "I don't think so. You've been wanting to say something to me since we met up in the Innovation Center and I think I can guess what it is."
"Oh, really, then do pray tell." Ladybug said with a bit of a glare. Cat Noir then said, "You're wanting to question me about why I'm here and not in Paris."
"Huh, pretty spot on, Kitty." She commented as they continued walking. What he said next shocked her, "But I hardly think it's fair that you're here just as much as I am. And you didn't even say anything back in Paris."
"Well, neither did you." Ladybug retorted before raising her arms and walking ahead of him. Cat Noir sighed and said, "Why do we have to be a couple that fights."
"We are not a couple!" Ladybug angrily shouted from ahead, startling him. He quickly ran after the others to catch up.

Back in the garage of the old Visitors Center, Zach and Gray had returned with the battery and Alya returned with the old Jurassic Park banner under her arm. Zach looked to her and questioned, "That's what you went back for?"
"Hey, it's a piece of history." Alya defended herself with a shrug. She lifted the folded cloth and said, "Think of how people are going to be both jealous and impressed with it. It might even impress your girlfriend back home."
Zach opened his mouth to say something, but kept it closed as he and Gray set to work on fixing the jeep. It took them roughly around twenty minutes or so, but they had managed to replace the jeep's old battery with the new one. After tightening the last bolt, Zach looked to Nino in the driver's seat he said, "Give it a turn."
Nino turned the ignition key and the engine started up. All five of them seemed pleased with this as Gray pumped a fist, "It works!"
Zach slammed the hood down before walking to the driver's seat. He said, "Give Gray shotgun."
"But why?" Nino asked in confusion. Zach looked to his brother and said with a grin, "He's the one who did a lot of the work."
Gray looked to his brother with a grin of his own while the others seemed to be impressed with this. Nino moved to one of the seats behind the brothers as Zach and Gray climbed into the front. Alya and Chloe both climbed in on the sides with Nino in the middle. Zach looked to them and said, "Seatbelts, everyone."
"I thought you failed your driver's test." Gray said and it made Zach roll his eyes. The older brother shook his head, "No.
"Only the driving part." His words suddenly made the three French Students behind them a little nervous. But they didn't say anything as they quickly buckled up. Zach revved the engine before putting it into gear. They all smiled when the jeep pulled out of the garage and zoomed through the jungle.

As for Cat Noir and Ladybug's discussion, I'll save the rest of it for the next chapter. I look forward to reading your reviews.
