"Hey, honey. How are you feeling?" I asked my wife over the phone.
"Good. Just a little sick."
"Just rest, ok?"
"Yep." Mrs. Parker-Stacy replied. That's right. I ended up with Gwen. She fell in love with me again after many years of us fighting crime as a team. Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider.
I walked up to the Sanctum Sanctorum's door. As I was about to knock, the door swung open.
"Ah, Peter. Nice to see you again. How's Gwen?" Steven asked, floating down from the ceiling.
"Good. And she finally agreed to take a break from crime fighting. At least till the baby arrives." I responded.
"Good, good. Come along, we need to talk." I followed him into a room in the sanctum where I saw Tony, Steve, Marc (or Steven/Jake, I don't know), Loki, Thor, Wade, Matt, Logan, Valkery, Bruce, Hank, Janet, Namor, Shuri, Tchalla, Eddie, Natasha, Clint, Carol, Monica, Jessica, Jane, and Reed.
"Peter. Welcome to the Council room." Steven said. He levitated up, and then took his cloak off to sit. He then looked towards Tony.
"Pete, I understand that you are busy preparing for a kid, and sympathize with you, but I think it's time you join the avengers." He said.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Slow down. I declined 5 years ago, before I was married. Now I have a child on the way, and you think I've changed my mind? No." I turn to leave, but there is just wall.
"Please reconsider, Peter." Steve says.
"Yes. You should." Reed agrees.
"I'll think about it." I say.
When I get home, I call out,"Hey honey? How are you feeling?"
"Good." She says walking into the kitchen. "How was the meeting with Steven?"
"Fine, but tons of avengers were there. Not just Steven." I said.
"What did they want?" She asked.
"The usual." I said.
Tony POV
Why won't Pete accept our offer? I thought. I'd read a good question.
