Now I know this seems unexpected but here me out

The reason i wanted to rewrite this is cause I wasn't exactly satisfied with how I was originally did this story and I feel like I could have done so much better with the story

I'm sorry if you guys liked the old version of this but this is something I felt like was needed so I truly hope you understand

oh and before the chapter starts, quick shout out to psychopath556 for writing "pokemon storm" and inspiring me, and for Ethan Dust for writing "pokemon dust" which also inspired me.

I do not own pokemon all rights go to gamefreak and Nintendo I only own my characters

Prologue : a familiar and unfamiliar world

Tyler's POV

When you wake up in the morning, what do you expect to hear. Do you expect to hear the sounds of bird's chirping, the sound of your alarm clock that makes you want to chuck it across the room to hope it shuts up. Or is it the sound of your neighbors doing yard work at 7 in the morning that makes you want to scream at them when you're trying to sleep.

Hehe hate to break it to all of you but it was none of the above

What greeted me was the sun shining in my eyes when I opened them for the first time in what feels like forever ago. But it was odd…I don't sleep outside, I wasn't exactly a outdoor person and I hated camping so what was even going on

Also what kind of idiot sleeps outside unless it's for camping anyway?

Either way I sit up from my supposed sleeping spot rather confused, I did just wake up in a random location after all so I did want some answers to my current situation.

"Agh…my head feels like it got run over by a truck….and then the driver used me as target practice" I moan out rubbing in between my eyes before taking in my surroundings. I seem to be in a forest with beautiful green leaves that sway in the wind. Said wind blows gently through the area, the sound echoing in my ears letting me know that the day was just getting started. This area felt familiar but unfamiliar at the same time, it was rather nerve wracking.

"O-okay Tyler calm down…you're just in a forest…a calm peaceful forest that totally can't have anything that could kill you" I mutter to myself trying my best to remain calm but I was doing anything but keeping my cool. I stood up and dusted myself off of any leaves or other particles that could have fallen on me while I was sleeping, which thankfully there wasn't anything but you never know. Next I take in what stuff I currently have on me. I had a green shirt on me and a purple vest as well. On my legs I was also wearing a pair of shorts that had a bit of dirt on them which made sense as I was laying on the ground. Around my waist was a belt that looked a bit odd then a normal one, it had 6 notches where it looked like something could be placed on them. My skin was white and my hair was short and purple as well.

After calming myself down I decided to look around me a bit before looking at what I currently had with me. I had a bag which contained my phone, my charger for it and a few snacks to munch on but other than that nothing else that could really help me. There was a blank card of some kind but in my eyes it's useless. There was also…it but t-that's not important

"Okay…I'm not gonna solve anything standing around here…let's get moving" I say to myself, really hope that doesn't become a habit. As I begin my way, my white shoes crunch against the grass as I walk but they are joined by the sounds of noises I don't recognize at all, definitely didn't sound anything normal. I look up and my eyes widen a bit when I realize what I'm looking at.

It's a fricken Pidgey

The little bird looks around a bit at the crunching of earth before looking down at me, we make eye contact and it seems to be a bit nervous about me approaching. I get an idea in my head and dig in my bag. I take out a pack of crackers and hold my hand out to the bird. It sniffs the air a bit before it flies down in front of me, it sniffs the crackers before taking a bite out of one. It's face lights up at the taste before continuing to eat from my hand.

This gives me a moment to think, there was a bird from a video game right in front of me.

…at least this gave me an idea where I was and if I was correct this looks like…route 1 I think? It seemed like a pretty peaceful field so far but in a world of fictional creatures you never know what could happen to you. The bird pokemon finishes its crackers before chirping what I assume to be a thank you, guess it hadn't had much luck with finding food today.

"Thanks little one…say…do you think you can help me find my way through the forest…I kinda got myself lost" I ask the bird trying to be as gentle as I possibly could, the bird puts a wing to its chin before nodding and pointing to my bag again. Didn't take a genius what they wanted.

"Yes you'll get more crackers if you help me" I say with a smile and it chirps happily before taking off into the air and gesturing to me to follow it. I start running after it as quickly as I can, we pass through a few bushes, trees and a few roots that are big enough to trip over. I look up at the sky noticing it's about midday, maybe later at this moment but there was still quite a lot of daylight remaining before night calls. Pidgey suddenly stops in its tracks before looking around, I stop as well tilting my head wondering what's wrong. It then zooms in a random direction and having no real choice given its my guide I follow it a bit annoyed but then after a few minutes we both stop in our tracks, what we see is a squirtle laying on its back seeming to be knocked out. A few feet nearby is a smashed pokeball that appears to have been there for awhile but that's not important.

"Pidgey we need to get moving, we need to get this one to a doctor and quickly" I say to the bird and it nods before I scoop up the poor pokemon in my arms and start running after the bird again. There's a sound of rumbling in the air and I could feel a few raindrops starting to fall before there was a complete downpour coming onto us. From my bag a yellow glow starts to come out of it and I do my best to hide it. The storm started to get worse and worse with each passing second but thankfully I could see the forest start to become less dense and then.

We burst out of the trees into a open clearing getting the full force of the storm.

I put a arm over my face blocking the strong winds hitting it and almost making me lose my grip on the tiny turtle pokemon and it actually makes the Pidgey lose altitude and get blown right smack dab against my chest causing me to fall onto my butt groaning.

"Are…are you both alright?" I ask the two who are against my chest and they look up at me, they both nod their little heads and I could feel my hair stand up on end. I look up and notice lightning dancing in the clouds like some sort of show they are putting on. Before with a mighty…

CRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAACCCCCCKKKKK

It strikes us down.

….at least that's what should've happened.

I open my eyes and notice the lightning has not made any contact with us, it seems like a shield was protecting us.

But then everything went black

A few hours later

My ears ring like a bell when I wake up the second time for what I assume is the same day. I open my eyes and sit up noticing how wet my clothes are, the two pokemon are on my stomach sleeping. They were wet but unharmed, which made me let out a sigh of relief. I stood up on my feet and started walking again. There were so many questions on my mind at this moment but I shouldn't focus on that, these two pokemon needed my help. I know I am not a trainer but

I was willing to help however way I can

End of prologue
