Sector V was in the science section of Moonbase along with Moonbase folk, Numbuh 2 had managed to steal a blueprint from the delightfuls and was building some type of machine on a bid empty room with steel plates all around "Thanks for letting Numbuh 2 test out this thing, he wouldn't shut up about wanting to build it but there was no space for it in out treehouse" Numbuh 1 laughed while looking at Rachel who was overseeing the construction from a safe distance behind a yellow line with the rest of the kids
"No problem, It may as well give us the answers for how to turn back Sector Z" Rachel smiled at Numbuh 1 "Besides even I'm curious, this thing is massive!" Rachel said while looking at the giant Machine being built "What does it even do though?" Rachel crossed the yellow line and approached Numbuh 2
"I don't know to be honest, it caught my attention while we were inside one of their hideouts," Numbuh 2 said "The folk from deepsea lab wanted nothing with unknown villain technology so I decided to request the guys from moonbase, you in that case" Hoagie said while tightening a bolt
Numbuh 1 approached Rachel, the rest of the agents followed him "Uhhhh… Rachel? Don't you think it's best if you stand behind the yellow line?"
"I have to agree with Numbuh 1 on this one Sir, let's get back to behind the yellow line, this thing seems dangerous" Numbuh 86 approached with the rest of Sector V and Patton
"Why do we even care? Since when do we work with villain stuff? I say we dump this thing and go work in some 2x4 stuff" Numbuh 4 said Numbuh 3 was right behind him giggling
"It sure is one big hunk of metal though, are you sure you don't know what it does?" Numbuh 5 asked as she got on top of it along with Numbuh 2
"Well according to the blueprint it's called the swapper, I don't know what it means by that though" Numbuh 2 said as he connected two wires together, a huge blinding light soon followed from the machine, Numbuhs 1, 2, 4 and 60 jumped on top of Numbuhs 362, 5, 3 and 86 trying to protect them but fainted along with the girls in less than a second
Numbuh 1 felt himself being shaken by someone he opened his eyes and looked around only to see a bunch of scientists looking worried at him "W-What happened?"
"That weird machine flashed a bright light on you sir, We did told you protection glass was necessary" A scientist girl said
"Y-You are too polite" Numbuh 1 laughed "But I'm not your leader, you can just call me Numbuh 1" Numbuh 1 laughed then noticed he had a feminine tone to his voice "Hey… My voice sound like…" Numbuh 1 suddenly heard a scream right next to him but it was… in his voice? He looked to his side only to see himself looking at him shocked "The Swapper… No it can't be…" Numbuh 1 touched his head only to feel hair. He looked up and noticed blonde silky hair "R-Rachel?" Numbuh 1 looked at himself sitting next to him
"Nigel…" Numbuh 1 touched her head feeling no hair at all "I see… The Swapper" Rachel sighed then looked around as the rest of the operatives caught in the blinding light woke up
Numbuh 86 woke up "When I get my hands on Numbuh 2 I swear to god I will…" Numbuh 86 grabbed her throat "My voice…" Numbuh 86 looked at herself in a shiny steel plate nearby only to see Numbuh 60's face, she immediately lost her balance in shock only to be caught by… herself? "Patton?"
"Hey, I barely feel any different in strength, nice job" Patton laughed in Numbuh 86's body only to be pushed by Numbuh 86 in his body, she was blushing
"NUMBUH 2!" Numbuh 86 looked around trying to find the boy
Numbuh 4 woke up by the sound of Numbuh 60 yelling "Not really what I wanted to wake up with…" Numbuh 4 noticed his voice then tried grabbing his throat only to feel a sleeve covering his hand, he looked at his own hand seeing the green sleeves Numbuh 3 usually wore, Numbuh 4 took a deep breath and sighed "Numbuh 2 is dead" he stood up bubbling mad in anger a face that didn't suit Numbuh 3's usual cheerful attitude as he looked around for the 2x4 specialist along with Numbuh 86
Numbuh 3 smiled in Numbuh 4's body with her usual smiled looked as the boy stomped angrily using her body "This is fun" Numbuh 3 giggled
Numbuh 4 paused his search and looked at Numbuh 3 "Don't giggle with my body" he approached Numbuh 3 angry at the girl
Numbuh 3 giggled again in response and hugged her own body "You look so cute Wally" She laughed
"Numbuh 2 owes me big time…" Numbuh 4 said gritting his teeth
"He won't have time to owe you anything because I'm going to kill him!" Numbuh 86 said in Patton's usual bossy tone of voice
"Hey you are a natural, you already mastered the way I talk to the cadets" Numbuh 60 laughed smiling at Numbuh 86
"Is everyone alright?" They all heard from a platform on top of the machine, it was Numbuh 2's voice, the 2x4 specialist came down from the platform, he lost his balance and landed a bit awkwardly on the floor, he then noticed Numbuhs 3 and 60 coming at her reading their fists "Numbuh 3?"
Numbuh 4 swung his fist at Numbuh 2 only to have it grabbed and then thrown on the floor "That technique… Numbuh 5?"
"Good to know the skills didn't go away with the weight" Numbuh 5 laughed
Numbuh 2 came down slowly with Numbuh 5's body from the platform "Hehe… Hey guys…" Numbuh 2 waved at them in an awkward way
"You are so dead…" Numbuh 86 rushed at him only to be grabbed by Numbuhs 1 and 362 "Sir?" she turned to Numbuh 362's body then to Numbuh 1's "Sorry, this is quite confusing"
"It's okay" Rachel said in Numbuh 1's body "Violence won't be needed… for now" Rachel looked at Numbuh 2 a bit angry "Care to explain what went wrong? Numbuh 2" She looked at him with a frown through Numbuh 1's shades
"Well… the machine seems to be working as intended" Numbuh 2 laughed then stopped immediately upon seeing Numbuhs 86 and 4 looking at him with fire in their eyes
"That's… pretty clear… can you turn us back?" Rachel asked
"Motherboard is fried along with a ton of circuitry and the wires were a bit damaged as well, I will need a new motherboard to be manufactured" Numbuh 2 said
"How long?" Rachel sighed already fearing the answer
"Four days… maybe five" Numbuh 2 said in a fearful tone of voice that didn't fit Numbuh 5's usual cool manner
Numbuh 4 and Numbuh 86 cracked their knuckles while looking at him only to be held by Numbuhs 3 and 60 in their bodies "Calm down now…. It may as well be fun" Numbuh 3 said
"Say it for yourself!" Numbuh 4 said "I can feel the girliness in my veins!"
"And I can feel myself getting dumber!" Numbuh 86 said as she kneeled while covering her face with her hands
"Always the dramatic…" Numbuh 60 grabbed Numbuh 86 and led the girl in his body away from the room
Numbuh 3 did the same for Numbuh 4 now with her enhanced strength thanks to the new body "You will have fun, you will see" Numbuh 3 said
"So… who works as Supreme Leader now?" Numbuh 1 asked
"I needed some well-deserved vacations anyway" Rachel laughed as she left the room in Numbuh 1's body
"Great…" Numbuh 1 said as he followed Rachel
A few hours later Numbuh 3 was in the treehouse with Numbuh 4 "So? What are you thinking so far?" Numbuh 3 asked while playing with a Rainbow monkey in Numbuh 4's body
"For starters, stop playing with those stupid rainbow monkeys in my body!" Numbuh 4 yelled "And why do you need this thing strapped on your chest?" Numbuh 4 asked fidgeting with it a bit
"Don't mess with it or I'm going to ask for a rainbow monkey for Christmas to your parents" Numbuh 3 smiled at him with a menacing look
"Can you at least tell me what it does?" Numbuh 4 stopped touching it a bit scared now
"Let's just say… it keeps things in place" Numbuh 3 coughed and blushed a little "We aren't staying in the treehouse tonight so… should we come up with some strategy for our parents?"
"My parents will be fine" Numbuh 4 laughed "Just don't act too much like yourself and they won't even know the difference"
Numbuh 3 laughed "Look… My parents… Just try keeping a low profile" Numbuh 3 said
"Maaaybe it would be best if I slept in here today" Wally said "No way I can act like you" The Boy said in a nervous tone
"Sadly you can't, they want me to sleep there today" Numbuh 3 sighed "Don't take this personally or anything but… just don't say anything you usually would" Numbuh 3 said
"I… will do my best" Numbuh 4 said "Don't expect me to play rainbow monkeys though"
"Hey, maybe you will come to like them in my body" The girl laughed then gave Numbuh 4 a light punch
"Ow! Careful, You haven't mastered my strength" Numbuh 4 said while rubbing his shoulder
"Sorry…" Numbuh 3 blushed in his body "Oh yeah one more thing, don't open my closet"
"Why not?" Numbuh 4 asked
"Just don't" Numbuh 3 said
"Alright… Don't see under my bed then" Numbuh 4 said
"Deal" They both shook hands, then left the treehouse after some rehearsing
Numbuh 4 opened the door to Numbuh 3's home "Uhhh… Mom? Dad?"
"Hello Dear, Sorry about it, I know how much you love hanging out with your friends but your father insisted you went home today" Mrs. Sanban greeted her daughter or at least Numbuh 4 in her daughter's body "Here, I bought something for you" Mrs. Sanban handed him a green rainbow monkey dressed as a scientist with blonde spiky hair "I passed by this one today in a store and simply couldn't resist" she smiled at him
"Oh great a st- I mean" Numbuh 4 grabbed the rainbow monkey and hugged it "I love it mom, he is so cute!" He smiled at Mrs. Sanban while feeling slow death inside "I… will bring it to my room!" Numbuh 4 rushed upstairs and went inside Numbuh 3's room
"Thanks Mom" Numbuh 3 had just received a cookie for not breaking anything upon entering the Wallabee's residence, apparently it was a great feat coming from their son "Being Numbuh 4 is fun" Numbuh 3 said laughing then laid on his bed then remembered what Numbuh 4 had said about not peeking under his bed "Hmmm…" Numbuh 3 started reminiscing about a talk she had with Numbuh 5 a few months ago
"It's true, my older brother had those for a long time, boys hide them under their beds and stuff, tons of magazines with girls in bikinis, it's crazy I tell you girl" Numbuh 5 laughed
Numbuh 3 shook her head and started whistling "He won't even notice…" Numbuh 3 left his bed and crouched next to it "Huh…" Numbuh 3 just saw a bunch of drawings, she grabbed one of them, it was a badly drawn sketch of her and Numbuh 4 with a heart between them "No way…. " Numbuh 3 covered her mouth a bit shocked, she then grabbed another piece of paper. It didn't have a drawing but instead a ton of stuff written on it "Hey Look Kooks, I was thinking… would you like to… go grab something to eat, just the two of us?" Numbuh 3 read it out loud with a huge smile on her face "Best day ever…" Numbuh 3 laid on Numbuh 4's bed hugging the pieces of paper while looking at the ceiling lovestruck with a million thoughts running through her head
Numbuh 4 had just finished eating dinner, the boy had managed to keep Numbuh 3's identity by staying quiet for most of dinner and throwing random compliments at Rainbow Monkeys from time to time much to his horror, The boy in Numbuh 3's body laid on her bed and sighed "This is tiring… If I have to throw one more compliment at these stupid rainbow monkeys I'm going to go crazy" He said then pressed a pillow against his face and rolled around the bed, he fell out of bed then opened his eyes only to see Numbuh 3's closet "She could have just said nothing…" Numbuh 4 sighed then got up and approached the closet "Probably just dumb clothes she doesn't want anyone to see" Numbuh 4 opened the closet door, it was neatly well kept "I forget girls keep their closets clean…" Numbuh 4 inspected the closet closely then noticed a book with a cover in pink leather and golden details with Rainbow and heart stickers all over it, he looked at what was written on the front "Kuki Sanban… Diary?!" Numbuh 4 immediately dropped the book in shock then grabbed it back after taking a hold of himself "I should probably put it back…" Numbuh 4 paused for a moment then opened the book and searched for the most recent log
"May 6th: Hoagie was testing machines like usual, Numbuh 5 and I watched him. The fixing was boring but the explosions were kinda nice, I also like to see Abby looking at him, I wish she would confess already… Not like I can say much" Was written in the diary followed by a couple of laughing faces
"Numbuh 5 likes Numbuh 2?! And Numbuh 3 also likes someone…" Numbuh 4 sighed "Figures" He groaned then kept reading
"I wish Numbuh 4 would stop saying mean things about Rainbow Monkeys, I don't like fighting and he doesn't like cute stuff, I love the boy but I wish we could have something in common, Wally hates me guts though, he is quite the professional to work with someone he despises" Three smiley faces and a few broken hearts drawings followed
Numbuh 4 paused for a moment to absorb the information, he then flipped to a couple of pages from a few days ago
"April 29: Gramma Stuffum threw some spicy broccoli bullets in my direction during a mission today but Numbuh 4 jumped in front of me and protected me against them, I love him because he is as cute as a koala but he is kinda cool sometimes" a few heart drawings soon followed
Numbuh 4 got up and grabbed Numbuh 3's communicator then contacted his own communicator, Numbuh 3 picked up "Kuki?" Numbuh 4 was blushing bright red, his body went on automatic but he managed to get the control back
"Wally? Is everything okay?" Numbuh 3 asked she was also heavily blushing, she had spent the next few hours thinking about him
"Yeah… your parents don't suspect a thing… What about you?" Wally asked
"Yeah… Joey is fun to play with…" Numbuh 3 said
"Cool…" Numbuh 4 said very nervous
"I saw the drawings!" Numbuh 3 said
"I read your diary! Wait you what? I told you to not peek under my bed!" Numbuh 4 said
Numbuh 3 laughed "Sorry… You shouldn't be reading a girl's diary though!" She said
"Sorry…" Numbuh 4 said "I don't hate you… You are just a bit annoying but…"
"I get it… I was being paranoid" Numbuh 3 sighed "Listen… Numbuh 1 will be working with Rachel at moonbase until they get everything solved out and Numbuh 2 is stuck in Moonbase with that machine, Numbuh 5 will be staying with him probably so… you wanna hang out tomorrow... It is a date" Numbuh 3 said in Numbuh 4's voice in a cheerful tone
"You bet! I mean… yeah, sure… I love you…" Numbuh 4 covered his face ready to hear laughs in his own voice
Numbuh 3 could feel her Australian heart skip a beat after hearing it, it was like a dream come true for the girl "I wasn't ready for that… I… love you too Numbuh 4" Kuki said "See you tomorrow" the girl turned off the communicator and hugged it "Thanks Numbuh 2…" Numbuh 3 smiled then started giggling to herself in Numbuh 4's voice
