It was the third day after the incident, Numbuh 1 in Rachel's body was doing supreme leader work in Rachel's place "So? What is your opinion about the Supreme Leader's job so far?" Rachel was smiling while looking at herself sitting at a desk filling tons of permissions
"I understand why you tried that game of Tag more and more with each passing day, you know that?" Numbuh 1 groaned
"You are lucky I'm helping you with the really useless stuff like tying shoelaces" Rachel chuckled "It's our lunch break though, let's go" She grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the desk
"Thanks… that place feels like a vortex, it sucks you in" Numbuh 1 laughed
"I know what you mean, i'm having a blast watching you going through what I go through everyday" Rachel laughed while grabbing a few sandwiches for herself
Numbuh 1 did the same and went to a table with Rachel, Numbuh 2 and Numbuh 5 were at a nearby table eating as well "How are the repairs going Numbuh 2?"
"Everything should be done by tomorrow if the motherboard is sent in time" Numbuh 2 said "The external damages are all fixed"
"Thank god, Numbuh 4 must be bothering you about it every five seconds" Numbuh 1 said
Numbuh 2 and Numbuh 5 laughed "Numbuh 5 wouldn't say that" Numbuh 5 said
"What do you mean?" Rachel asked while drinking a bottle of soda
"Numbuh 4 and Numbuh 3 started dating" Numbuh 2 said
"Huh, always thought they made a nice couple" Rachel smiled happy with the news
"At least that crazy machine helped in some way" Numbuh 1 said
"Huh, funny thing, thought you would be mad about it" Numbuh 2 looked at His leader a bit happy
"Why should I? As long as they keep doing their missions right… Well Numbuh 3 never did them very correctly but you get my meaning" Numbuh 1 laughed
"I think he means he thought you wouldn't like seeing them dating since well… The Lizzie thing" Numbuh 5 said
"Nah, I'm already over that" Numbuh 1 said
"So you moved on? You eyeing someone else already?" Numbuh 5 grinned
"Yeah, but I'm not telling, you guys will have to find out for yourselves" Numbuh 1 laughed
Rachel smiled at him radiantly "I'm happy to know you moved on, It always bummed me out that I was responsible in part for you breaking up with her" Rachel said
"No, it was for the best" Numbuh 1 said "It would never work out" Numbuh 1 looked at his plate and saw he had finished it "Still a bit hungry, I will go grab an extra" Numbuh 1 got up and left the table
"So are you confessing or not?" Numbuh 5 smiled at Rachel
Rachel sighed "Well they do say you are one of the most keen operatives" Rachel laughed "I will think of something, might as well do it now that everyone has started dating" Rachel lowered her head below her table and smiled at Numbuh 2 and Numbuh 5 holding hands under the table
"Sharp as always" Numbuh 5 grinned at Rachel "Good luck Sir"
"I don't need luck, just some time alone with him" Rachel said as she finished her lunch and greeted Numbuh 1 who was just coming back
A few hours later that day Numbuh 1 and Rachel were in the supreme leader private officer, Rachel was showing Numbuh 1 how to read a damage report in her personal computer "I see… that makes total sense…"
"Told you, it's the easiest part of the job to be honest" Rachel laughed "Listen… my work usually ends by this hour on saturdays so I was thinking… wanna chat for a bit before going home or anything like that?" Rachel asked
"Sure, talking with you is always fun" Numbuh 1 sat on an armchair and stretched himself in Rachel's body "So what you wanna talk about?"
"Don't know, only news I can think about is all these new couples, on the way here I discovered Numbuh 86 and Numbuh 60 are together as well" Rachel said
"Uh, that's an unusual duo, specially talking about Numbuh 86" Numbuh 1 smiled "Maybe she will start being nicer" Numbuh 1 laughed
"I doubt that, but i'm happy for her" Rachel said "By the way, now that your team isn't here tell me, who is the girl you have your eyes on?" Rachel grinned at him
"I… Sorry, can't tell you" Numbuh 1 said "I hope you understand"
"Even if I saw who is the boy I like?" Rachel blushed
"Well I… ah whatever, okay go ahead, who is it" Numbuh 1 said readying himself for bad news
"He is one stubborn and inconsequential operative, every time there is trouble risking the whole organization he is involved somehow, but… he is a loyal operative and one of the best…" Rachel said smiling at him
"Oh he must be amazing i'm sure of that…" Numbuh 1 sighed
"Are you teasing me or what?" Rachel looked at him now a bit annoyed at how dense he could be
"What do you mean?" Numbuh 1 looked at her a bit confused
"It's you idiot" Rachel flicked his forehead
"Oh…" Numbuh 1 blushed smiling at her while rubbing his forehead
"Don't let the last part get to your head" Rachel smiled at him then pulled him into a kiss
"I won't… thinking about it, you didn't need this whole accident to confess" Numbuh 1 chuckled
"It's more fun that way, plus I don't get the chance to hangout with you the entire day very often" Rachel smiled at him then kissed him back "It's pretty weird kissing myself" Rachel laughed "You didn't give me your answer, who do you like?"
"Are you serious?" Numbuh 1 smiled at her
Rachel nodded
Numbuh 1 sighed "It's you, alright?" Numbuh 1 kissed Rachel this time
they hanged out in her office for a few more hours then went on a date at an abandoned section of the moonbase "Sorry, I'd rather solve the implications of dating you on my own so for now we should keep it a secret" Rachel said blushing a little
"No problem, the amount of teasing doesn't make me very excited to tell the others anyway" Numbuh 1 laughed
"Oh no, I'm telling them as soon as we see them, I'm talking about the general public" Rachel laughed "I may as well even help with the teasing"
"Don't you dare" Numbuh 1 said
"I will try not to" Rachel grinned as she looked at herself
The following day the crew was all inside the testing room for the swapper the other operatives were in the device's radius ready to turn back to normal
"Just to be safe, are we still dating after we change back?" Numbuh 60 asked Numbuh 86 whispering
"What kind of question is that?! of course we are" Numbuh 86 said
"You two are so cute" Rachel smiled at her friends
"Could say the same for you two" Numbuh 60 grinned
"Remember to be close to the person you changed bodies with, Wouldn't want to change places with Numbuh 362 that's for sure" Numbuh 2 laughed as he started the machine
"The job isn't as bad once you get used to it Numbuh 2, you should try it one day" Numbuh 1 said as a blinding flash of light terminated their conversation
The kids woke up a couple of minutes later
Numbuh 4 was the first to wake up, he looked at himself and smiled upon the sight of an orange hoodie "I'm back!" Numbuh 4 said then was tackled by Numbuh 3 who kissed him
"Huh, Numbuh 5 can feel a few more pounds" Abby laughed "Gonna have to hit the gym for your cause" She nudged Numbuh 2 in the ribs
"Ouch… it was good food I swear" Numbuh 2 said as he followed his girlfriend outside certainly for their date
"I feel my intelligence returning…" Numbuh 86 sighed in relief teh felt a pat on her back
"It's because your head is bigger than mine" Numbuh 60 laughed as he left with his girlfriend yelling at him
"No more filing forms?" Numbuh 1 sighed a bit relieved
"That depends, do you want to spend some alone time in my office AFTER you help me with them from time to time?" Rachel chuckled
"Sounds like a deal to me" Numbuh 1 wrapped his arm around Rachel's shoulder and walked with the girl out of the training grounds
I will be honest with you guys, I just finished Disney's Recess(Wasn't a Dinsey Channel Kid) and was itching to do at least one story with it so I rushed this one since I don't like having multiple stories in progress
