Scotland

In a small town, a man in a green hoodie was buying himself some groceries in a small shop as he put them in a paper bag and paid the cashier. The man then walked down the streets before entering a house and locking the door behind him. The man then pulled his hood to reveal Oliver Queen, whose beard had grown since facing off with Adrian Chase on Lian Yu and locking him up and helping Slade Wilson find his son Joe, only to find out he had become a ruthless mercenary named 'Kane Wolfman', following in Deathstroke's footsteps.

Oliver heard the water in the bathroom before the shower turned off, with steam coming out from the door as his wife, Natasha Romanoff, now with her hair dyed blonde, emerged, wrapping the towel around to cover herself as they smiled at each other.

"Hey." Oliver said.

"Hey, handsome." Natasha teased as she wrapped her arms around Oliver's neck and pulled him in for a kiss before they pulled away, while Natasha held Oliver's chest. "So, I hope you have a better dinner prepared for us."

"Well, we'll see what we can do." Oliver said before one of their secure phones rang as they turned to it.

Natasha picked the phone and answered the call. "What is it, Steve?"

"It's an emergency. Bruce called me from the phone I'd left to Tony. Have you seen the news?" Steve asked as Natasha frowned before she picked a remote and turned on the TV as they were watching the news report of an alien attack on New York, with Iron Man fighting two aliens.

"What the hell…" Oliver whispered.

"Vision may be in danger. I need you to get to him ASAP, Wanda's already on her way there." Steve ordered.

"We're on it." Natasha said as she hung up before turning to Oliver. "Suit up."

Oliver sighed as he put his bags down. "So much for a good dinner tonight."

In another part of the town, Vision, in a human form, was walking down the streets and wondering what opportunities could be there for him to explore as a human but stopped at a kebab restaurant, where through the window he saw the news report on TV about the alien attack on New York. As Vision took a closer look at the aliens, he realized that they were the aliens the Mind Stone had warned him about and that if they were on Earth, they would be coming for him soon enough and then he saw another news report with Tony's photo as the headline said 'TONY STARK MISSING', making him realize things were more serious than he had feared and that he needed to go into hiding.

Vision walked down the streets, hiding in the shadows but screamed, when he felt something stabbing him in the back as a glaive protruded from his chest, lifting him in the air and he turned into his normal form. Vision was thrown on the ground, when he turned to see a male alien with hideous face wearing a dark blue hood with the glaive in his hand, while next to him appeared a female alien with a spear as she fired, the blast knocking Vision down.

Corvus Glaive stepped on Vision's chest, pinning him down before placing the tip of the glaive on the Mind Stone on Vision's forehead as Vision screamed in pain.

"Get away from him!"

They turned to see a red-haired woman in red leather jacket descend from above with red aura surrounding her as she threw a hex blast at Proxima, sending her flying back. A grey blur sped towards Corvus and knocked him down, revealing a grey-haired muscular man in grey shirt.

"You didn't see that coming?" Pietro quipped.

Wanda rushed to Vision, helping him get up. "Vis, are you OK?" She asked and Vision nodded before Wanda used her powers and lifted him in the air, while she turned to Pietro. "We have to get him out of here, now."

They carried Vision to another street, while Wanda softened Vision's descent and tended to him.

"The blade… it stopped me from phasing." Vision grunted.

"How is this possible?" Pietro asked.

"It isn't supposed to be." Vision said in between heavy breaths. "My systems are failing."

Wanda used her powers to close the wound on Vision's torso.

"And here I thought you babysitting me was bad." Pietro quipped before he turned. "Look out!"

Pietro took Wanda and Vision before Corvus would grab them but Vision flew towards Corvus and grabbed him as they flew up and Vision pinned him to the wall. In the struggle, Corvus pinned Vision to another wall, while Wanda and Pietro dodged as Proxima attacked with her spear. Wanda used her hex powers to block Proxima's attacks, while Pietro delivered superspeed punches at her and knocked her down but before Pietro could finish her off, she blasted him away with her spear.

"Give up the Stone and they live." Corvus said.

Vision grabbed Corvus by his throat and flew up to the cathedral, shattering a part of the clock tower as they landed on the rooftop.

Proxima was exchanging blows with Wanda and Pietro. Pietro was about to disarm her of her spear but another blast from the spear sent both Maximoff twins flying back. Proxima jumped towards Wanda, about to deliver the killing blow but Wanda used her powers to stop the spear inches away from her face.

Vision slammed Corvus to the wall and punched him before throwing him away. Corvus recovered before Vision fired a beam from the Mind Stone in his forehead but Corvus raised his glaive to block it, splitting it into four beams that were cutting their way in four different directions, one of them slicing up a lorry and forcing Wanda and Pietro to dodge, while Corvus deflected the beam back at Vision, sending him crashing to the wall as Vision fell down.

Wanda threw Proxima at Pietro, who ran at her in superspeed, punching her towards the burned lorry before Wanda flew up and Pietro ran on the side of the building to get to the rooftop and help Vision, while Corvus was using his glaive to take the Mind Stone from Vision's forehead but then Corvus turned to face Wanda and Pietro, while the twins glared.

"Hands off." Wanda said before blasting Corvus, breaking through the wall as Corvus fell down the clock tower.

Wanda took Vision and flew off with him but Proxima fired from her spear, sending Wanda and Vision plummeting as they fell through the roof window of a train station but Pietro rushed in and caught them both to soften the fall. Vison struggled to get up as he laid onto the railing.

"Vis, come on, get up. Get up, we have to go." Pietro said, trying to help him get up on his feet but Vision shook his head.

"Please leave. It's not safe for you here." Vision said.

"There's no way we're letting them take you." Wanda said before Corvus and Proxima jumped in through the roof window.

Wanda and Pietro turned to face them both, ready for a fight but then Corvus's and Proxima's attention turned to the passing train behind the twins. Wanda and Pietro turned to see a figure hidden in the shadows that got the aliens' attention too. Proxima threw her spear but the figure caught it and stepped out from the shadows to reveal Steve Rogers, who had grown a beard as Wanda, Pietro and Vision smiled in relief. Proxima turned to see Sam Wilson fly in with his wings as he kicked her, sending her crashing through the café's gate. Sam fired missiles from his wings at Corvus, who blocked them but then Natasha Romanoff rushed in as Steve threw the spear at her as she caught it and slid down, cutting Corvus in his back as he knelt. Natasha dodged as Corvus attacked before she stabbed him in the chest. She dodged as Corvus attempted to cut her down before kicking him in the chest, sending him to the ground.

Suddenly, the spear was summoned back to Proxima who jumped in to attack but two explosive arrows flew towards her and upon explosion knocked her down before from above jumped down Oliver Queen in his green hood, with his bow and quiver of arrows.

"You have failed this city!" Oliver snarled.

Proxima got up and snarled in rage as she attacked but Steve picked Corvus's glaive and blocked Proxima's spear before she began exchanging blows with him, Oliver and Natasha, with Oliver using his bow and Natasha her batons to block her attacks until Sam flew in and kicked Proxima, knocking her down, while she crawled to Corvus's side as Sam pulled out his pistols and Oliver notched another arrow.

"Stand down." Oliver warned.

"Get up." Proxima said, turning to Corvus.

"I can't." Corvus said weakly.

"We don't wanna kill you, but we will." Natasha said.

"You'll never get the chance again." Proxima said before she pressed a button on her wrist.

A beam of light surrounded both aliens as it pulled them up, while the glaive was snatched from Steve's hand before they looked up to see the Q-ship take off, while Steve, Natasha, Sam and Oliver approached Pietro, Wanda and Vision.

"Can you stand?" Sam asked as they helped Vision on his feet.

"Thank you, Captain." Vision said, nodding at Steve gratefully.

"Let's get you on the jet." Steve said.

They entered the Quinjet as it took off, disappearing into the skies.

"You couldn't have waited for backup?" Natasha asked harshly as she turned to Wanda and Pietro.

"They were going to kill him." Pietro said.

"We had to do something." Wanda said.

"Where to, Cap?" Sam asked, while piloting the jet.

"Home." Steve said.

Avengers Compound, New York

"Still no word from Vision?"

Rhodey looked in annoyance as he turned to the holographic image of Secretary of State Thunderbolt Ross and other officials.

"Satellites lost him somewhere over Edinburgh." Rhodey said.

"On a stolen Quinjet with five of the world's most wanted criminals." Ross reminded.

"You know they're only criminals because you've chosen to call them that, right, sir?" Rhodey pointed out.

"My God, Rhodes. Your talent for horseshit rivals my own." Ross said, rolling his eyes.

"If it weren't for those Accords, Vision would've been here." Rhodey said.

"I remember your signature on those papers, Colonel." Ross reminded, his holographic image nearing Rhodey.

"That's right. And I'm pretty sure I paid the price for it." Rhodey said as he regretted the Avengers being divided due to the Sokovian Accords.

"You having second thoughts?" Ross asked.

"Not anymore." Rhodey said as he turned to see Steve, Natasha, Oliver, Sam, Vision, Pietro and Wanda enter.

"Mr. Secretary." Steve said.

Ross narrowed his eyes as he neared the group. "You got some nerve, I'll give you that."

"You could use some of that right now." Natasha quipped.

"The world's on fire. And you think all is forgiven?" Ross asked sarcastically, turning to Steve.

"I'm not looking for forgiveness. And I'm way asking for permission. Earth just lost her best defender. So we're here to fight." Steve said, nearing Ross. "And if you wanna stand in our way, we'll fight you too."

"This is bigger than your pettiness and ego. And we're not gonna waste time on petty squabbles with the fate of humanity at stake." Oliver said.

Ross turned to Rhodey, with one singular thought in mind. "Arrest them."

"All over it." Rhodey said before he turned off the transmission and turned to Steve. "That's a court-martial." He smiled at Steve. "It's great to see you, Cap."

"You too." Steve said as he and Oliver shook their hands with Rhodey and he hugged Natasha.

"Hope there's more room for us too."

They turned to see Matt and Sara enter with Barry Allen, Cisco Ramon and Caitlin Snow and Peter Parker, alongside Dick Grayson, Ray Palmer and Frank Castle.

"Hey, Ollie." Sara said.

"Hey." Oliver said as he smiled at Sara and hugged her before he turned to Barry. "Good to see you, Barry."

"You too." Barry said as he hugged Oliver and then Steve too.

"It's good to have most of the band back." A new but familiar voice said as they turned to see Bruce Banner emerge from the shadows as he chuckled. "Yeah, I'm back."

"Hey, Bruce." Steve said, smiling.

The Phantom Zone

In a wasteland covered by snow, where cold wind was ravaging, Clark Kent and Kara Danvers, also known as Kal-El and Kara Zor-El, Superman and Supergirl, the last son and daughter of Krypton, were walking down the terrain and looking around, using a hi-tech scanner.

"The signal from the beacon was coming from somewhere in the west." Kara said.

"Kara, that beacon has been transmitting for 20 years. How do we know it's not just a loop or a trap?" Clark asked.

"I don't know… but I have to try and find him." Kara said.

Suddenly, they heard a bestial roar as creatures resembling a Dementor from Harry Potter surrounded them and attacked them, leaving scratches on them. Clark and Kara tried to fight back but the phantoms were too fast before Clark was knocked down as he rolled down the steep.

"Kal!" Kara cried out but she was pinned down by another phantom that grabbed her and Kara turned paler and paler, losing strength, feeling the phantom drain the life force off her, while others were clawing at her.

Next thing Kara knew, a man whose face was wrapped in a cloth jumped down from above and raised his hand to reveal a diamond-shaped crystal. From the crystal shot out a blinding blue glow that scared the phantoms off and flew away, leaving her alone.

"Thank you." Kara said as she smiled at the man gratefully but the next thing she knew, the man kicked her in the face, knocking her out.

When Kara came to, she gasped and looked around to find out she was in some cavern before she noticed the man who had saved her and knocked her out earlier was at the other side of the cavern at some table, with his back turned to her.

"Calm down. There are no phantoms here." The man said.

"Who are you?" Kara demanded. For some reason, she found his voice familiar.

"As if you do not know. On your chest is the glyph of my House. House long dead." The man said as Kara looked down at the glyph of El on her shirt. "So you are most likely some sort of a mirage, another figment of my own tortured mind."

Kara looked back at the man. "This glyph belongs to my and my cousin's House."

"Cousin?" The man asked curiously.

"His name is Kal-El." Kara said and the man straightened himself as he slowly turned around to face Kara as he lowered his hood to reveal dark hair.

Kara's heart dropped as she saw his face, staring in disbelief as if she was seeing a ghost. The kind blue eyes and considering the wrinkles, the age had taken its toll on him. The man neared Kara and looked at her in disbelief before he took a closer look at her eyes, her cheekbones and tears filled his eyes as he knelt down as he held her by her cheek.

"Kara?" The man asked, his voice breaking.

"Father?" Kara whispered as they looked at each other, countless unspoken words shared between them with their tear-filled eyes before they hugged each other, sobbing, unable to believe each one of them was alive.

Clark had been knocked out when falling down and when he recovered, he was in chains and dragged by men in black hoods wielding spears down some settlement draped with tarps and skulls impaled on spikes protruding from the ground before he ended up in some throne room, with a man in black hood sitting on the throne.

"Kneel." The man on the throne said.

Clark's eyes narrowed, finding that voice familiar and hoping it was not who he thought it was. Next thing Clark knew, one of his captors kicked him in the leg, forcing him on his knees.

"Kneel before Zod." The captor said and Clark's blood ran cold as he heard the name.

The man pulled his hood to reveal a dark-haired man with green eyes that were giving out merciless unforgiving stare, unnerving Clark.

"Hello, Kal-El. I've been waiting a very long time for this." Zod said with a sadistic smirk.

Considering that Tony said that Vision is 'evolving', I think he'd go rogue and bail one way or another to explore humanity and to be blunt, I hate Vision/Wanda, both on screen and on paper and don't get me started on WandaVision, so they are not together here but Pietro and Wanda are still keeping an eye on him from afar, since they had been trained by the Avengers, so they could pull that off and keep a low profile too.

And Steve, Natasha and Sam saving Wanda and Vision is always awesome and hope Oliver joining in was also good to see and most of the gang is back. If you're wondering where the rest of Team Arrow and Team Flash is, someone has to stay back and protect Star City and Central City too, for a reminder.

Also, do not get me started on the minor Wanda/Vision and Bruce/Natasha subplot and my opinion on both pairings, so hope you're fine with Pietro and Wanda keeping an eye on Vision and Steve greeting Bruce as a friend instead of the whole "Well, this is awkward." when Bruce reunites with Nat.

Dick Grayson is played by Matt Long, Zor-El is played by Christopher Heyerdahl and Zod is played by Callum Blue, who played these characters in Smallville. Frankly, Callum Blue's portrayal is among the best and most fleshed out portrayals of the character I've ever seen, since Terrence Stamp's from the Christopher Reeves films and Michael Shannon's Man of Steel portrayal had already established him as a villain but Callum's was more complex and compelling. We're going to go somewhere else before returning back to the Infinity War events. The following part is inspired by Smallville, Season 6 of Supergirl and Stand with Ward and Queen's United we stand.

So, what do you guys think?
