Outer space

Nebula had stitched up Tony's wound with the advanced medical supplies on the ship as he hissed and winced.

"Thanks." Tony said before turning to Enoch, while his ship was towing Benatar through space. "So you're an advanced alien robot working with S.H.I.E.L.D.?"

"That is an oversimplified explanation but you are correct, Anthony Stark." Enoch confirmed.

"OK…" Tony trailed off, still unsure about Enoch. "How do you even know who I—"

"I know everything about the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy. I have decided to save you and bring you home after intercepting your distress call. I'd advise you to rest. It will be few hours before we arrive on Earth." Enoch said.

"What are you even doing here?" Nebula inquired.

"I was on a mission to help my friends find another one and then I intercepted the distress call on your ship." Enoch explained and Nebula and Tony nodded gratefully as they laid down tiredly and took a breath.

San Francisco

"Cassie! Cassie!" Scott called out as he burst into Maggie's house. "Jim! Maggie!"

"Daddy!"

Scott felt mightily relieved, when Cassie rushed to him, hugging him as he fell to his knees and hugged her back, tears forming in his eyes.

"Thank God you're OK, Cassie." Scott said.

"Daddy, Mommy and Jim are dust bunnies. What happened?" Cassie asked.

"It's… it's complicated. But I promise you, Peanut, I'm gonna do everything I can to fix it." Scott said, the father and daughter tightening the hug, not willing to let the other go out of fear that they would vanish.

The Lighthouse

"The governments are in complete disarray, we've got multiple reports of accidents, crashes, all of them most likely from people turning into dust." Mack said as Coulson sat down, clutching his chest.

"So it wasn't just Bobbi."

Mack, Coulson, Daisy and Fitz turned to see Hunter.

"Hey." Fitz said, hugging him tightly as they all realized that Bobbi had turned into dust too. "I'm so sorry."

"I figured this was a good place to start looking for answers. Do you guys have any idea what the bloody hell happened?" Hunter demanded.

"Thanos." Coulson said grimly.

"The guy that the Confederacy warned us about? That Talbot wanted to fight?" Daisy asked and Coulson nodded.

"Thanos's cohorts showed up in New York recently and Iron Man was seen fighting them, it can't be a coincidence." Coulson pointed out.

"What are we going to do, sir?" Fitz asked.

"I don't know. But what I do know is that we can't do this alone." Coulson said as he got up, groaning weakly as everyone realized what was he implying.

"A.C., are you sure about this?" Daisy asked.

"It's long overdue, Daisy. I owe them this much." Coulson said as he took a breath. "Prepare a Quinjet. We're heading to New York. I have to see some old friends."

San Francisco

"Are you going to fix what happened?" Cassie asked as Scott sighed.

"I don't know. But I'm gonna help Cap, the Avengers and other heroes and if there's a way, we'll find it." Scott said and Cassie nodded, hugging him. "I'm gonna leave you with some friends of mine, so that someone looks out for you, OK, Peanut?"

"OK." Cassie nodded.

"OK, sweetie, let's go." Barry said as he took Scott's and Cassie's hands and sped off.

Avengers Compound, New York

It had been almost a week since the battle of Wakanda and Thanos had wiped out half of all life in the entire multiverse and five days since Steve and the others had returned home to check in on their loved ones. Five days of searching for Thanos and wondering if Tony was still alive and they were still no closer to finding answers to either problem. Steve had left the bathroom, wiping the water and remnants of shaving cream from his face after he had shaved his beard, when he looked outside the window to see a car pull up in the front, when the driver's door opened and a familiar blonde woman exited the car.

Sharon Carter was about to ring, when the door opened, buzzing her in as Steve went out and they neared each other with looks of surprise.

"Cap." Sharon said.

"Sharon." Steve said before they smiled in relief to know that the other had survived as they hugged each other. "You have no idea how happy I am to see you."

"Yeah. Same here." Sharon said as they pulled away. "It's been a while."

"What brings you here?" Steve asked.

"When half of the world's population turns into dust, you know something's wrong and I figured that the Avengers were my best shot at getting some answers. I was hoping you'd survive." Sharon explained and Steve nodded. "Do you know what happened?"

"It's a long story." Steve said as he let her in. "Come in. You're gonna need to sit down for what I'm about to tell you."

"I think you should fill us in too."

They looked up to see Clark, Kara and Zor-El land down from above.

"Looks like we've missed a lot since our trip to the Phantom Zone." Clark said.

Hell

Ashes were snowing from above and there were rows of prison cells everywhere in shape of a metallic box, with one door with iron grating and from inside the cells were heard screams of agony and anguish and pleas for the pain to stop as demons walked by the cells.

And then, there was a tall pillar, where on the top was a young handsome man in a suit with feather wings protruding from his back, like an angel… only it was not an angel, at least, not by title. It was Lucifer Morningstar. The Devil. And across him was a blonde man in beige trench coat with a red tie, who was no one else than Master of the Dark Arts, John Constantine. In between them was a table on which were placed tarot cards as Lucifer picked one of the cards and turned it to reveal...

"The Magician." Lucifer said.

"So I'm making my own bloody destiny again." Constantine smirked, when Lucifer flipped over another card.

"The Hermit."

"Destined to be alone. Figures." Constantine shrugged, when Lucifer flipped over another card.

"Five of Cups."

"Grieve for what is lost…" Constantine trailed off, wondering what this one meant exactly, when more screams filled Hell itself.

"What on Earth…" Lucifer wondered as he got up.

"What is it?" Constantine asked as the screams echoing were getting louder and louder.

"More souls coming here, more than in both World Wars combined, all at once. It cannot be Father but…" Lucifer trailed off as the realization hit him and he looked pale, which was an unusual sight to see the Devil unnerved.

"What happened?" Constantine asked as Lucifer turned his attention to Constantine.

"You're needed up there, Johnny. We'll be playing soon enough again. But when you're done, bring Thanos to me." Lucifer said and Constantine was about to open his mouth, when Lucifer snapped his fingers…

Los Angeles, California

…and Constantine fell down on the ground in the middle of the street before he got up and brushed the dirt off his clothes, groaning. "I bloody hate it when that sod does that!"

But as Constantine looked around, he sensed something was… off. He then muttered an incantation in an unknown language and did a circular motion with his hands as a blinding glow of light shone above him and then he looked disbelieved.

"It cannot be…"

Avengers Compound, New York

Barry was on the treadmill, running but the image was still running through his mind.

"Barry."

Barry turned to see Cisco's hands beginning to turn to dust as Barry stared in horror, while Cisco fell on his knees.

"What's happening to me?" Cisco whispered, with his and Barry's eyes getting wet.

"I'm here, buddy." Barry said.

"I don't wanna go, Barry, please, I don't wanna go, I don't wanna go…" Cisco begged, sobbing, with Barry already on verge of tears.

"I'm not gonna let you go." Barry said as he also fell on his knees, while Cisco fell to the ground.

"I'm sorry…" Cisco whispered before he turned into dust, with a handful of it in Barry's hands as he stared in shock.

"No…" Barry whispered and a moment later he lost it, burying his face into the ground and weeping.

Patty entered to see Barry stopping and leaning onto the railing and in tears. "Barry…" She trailed off, unsure what to say.

"I couldn't stop him." Barry whispered.

"You all tried. This isn't your fault, Barry." Patty said, even though the words sounded hollow even to her.

"I couldn't save Eddie. I couldn't save Mom. Or Dad. And now Cisco, Ralph, Allegra, Jesse, Wally, Iris, all of them gone because I wasn't fast enough!" Barry snapped as he whirled on her before he looked down, with tears falling down from his eyes, when Patty held his hand.

"Barry. Why do we fall?" Patty asked as he turned to her, while she was giving him an assuring look. "So that we can learn to pick ourselves up."

"How can you pick yourself up from something like this?" Barry asked.

"Honestly…" Patty sighed. "I don't know. But what I do know that with the right people at your side, you can't give up. And your friends may be gone, but I'm still here. Doesn't that matter?"

Barry knew she had a point and he appreciated that she was trying to assure him… but it wasn't working. He turned to her as she held his hand.

"I don't know how… but what I do know is that you always find a way. So don't give up now, since I'm not giving up on you yet. There's always a way. We just gotta keep looking until we find it." Patty said as she placed her hand on his chest.

It wasn't much but Patty was the light in the darkness that Barry needed, even in the darkest time and it was a blessing that he did not lose her of all people. No matter what, she stood by him, even when no one else would. Even when she wasn't ready to believe him about his father's innocence and the mysterious man in yellow killing his mother, she always stood by him as much as she could.

They kissed, while Patty took off his tank top and he unbuttoned her shirt, when Kara entered and cleared her throat and they quickly pulled away and put their clothes back on hastily.

"I'm sorry for interrupting but you need to see this." Kara said as they followed her.

Oliver turned to see Adrian pull William out of the inside of the boat. Oliver notched an arrow, while Adrian was about to snap William's neck.

"Don't do that. Even if you had a shot, you've already told me that you wouldn't kill me. Or have circumstances finally changed?" Adrian gloated, while grabbing fistful of terrified William's hair. "If I die, everyone you care about dies, except your son. But if you don't kill me, I kill him."

"You son of a bitch." Oliver said with tears in his eyes, his voice breaking.

"William or everyone else. You choose. Right now." Adrian snarled insanely. "Either way, it proves me right, heh? Either way, it's exactly like I told you. Everyone around you, everything you touch, dies."

Oliver seemingly gave in, lowering his bow and Adrian smiled, satisfied that he had won before Oliver fired at Adrian's ankle, causing for him to let William go as Adrian fell down, while Oliver held William tightly in relief.

"William, come here. Are you OK? Are you alright? Did he hurt you?" Oliver said as William shook his head.

"He's gonna be fine—"

"Don't you talk to him!" Oliver snarled, pointing at Adrian, while pulling William in for a tight hug. "DON'T EVEN LOOK AT HIM!"

"You won." Adrian smirked as he was sitting and leaning to the door on his boat, with the arrow sticking out of his ankle. "Your son has his father back and he learned exactly who his father was. Just like you learned who your father was right here. On these very same waters."

"What?" Oliver asked, confused as he held William in his arms.

"William's younger than you were, so he's gonna be fine." Adrian continued. "And you have each other."

"What are you saying?" Oliver asked, not liking what was Adrian doing.

"Which is good. Oliver, that's good. Because it's gonna be lonely… without Mom… and Natasha." Adrian said and next thing Oliver knew, Adrian pulled out a revolver and put the barrel to his temple and Oliver had an immediate Déjà vu.

"No, Adrian!" Oliver cried out but then there was a gunshot as Adrian tilted aside, dead, with his brains blown out.

Oliver and William then heard explosions and turned to see the entire Lian Yu engulfed in flames and they stared in disbelief and devastation to realize that William's mother and Oliver's friends and family, especially his mother Moira, sister Thea, best friend Tommy and love Natasha were all gone.

Oliver's penthouse, Star City

Oliver gasped as his eyes opened with sweat on his forehead, when he turned to see Natasha's head laying on his shoulder, with their naked bodies snuggling to each other beneath the covers of the bed as she placed her hand on his shoulder.

"Wakanda again?" Natasha asked.

"Lian Yu. What could've happened." Oliver corrected and Natasha nodded in understanding before they kissed and pulled away.

"You haven't lost me yet, Oliver. No matter what, I have no intention of going anywhere." Natasha said.

"But how are we supposed to keep going?" Oliver asked.

"There's no giving up." Natasha reminded, citing Slade's words before her phone on the night desk rang and she answered it. "Hello? Wait, what? Yeah. We're on our way there." She hung up before she kicked the sheet off her and got up from the bed, looking for her clothes on the floor.

"What is it?" Oliver asked.

"Get dressed, we need to get to the compound, now." Natasha said as she put on her bra and panties and Oliver nodded as he got up from the bed, putting on his pants.

"Hey, buddy." Oliver said, as he shook sleeping William and William blinked before he opened his eyes, rubbing them.

"Dad?" William asked weakly.

"I'm gonna go with my friends to see and old friend. Would you mind if you stayed with another friend of mine? We need to catch up on a lot." Oliver explained.

"OK." William nodded tiredly, while Natasha dialed a number on her phone.

"Barry, can you get us to the compound now?" Natasha asked.

"I'll leave William and Cassie with Joe." Barry said before they all disappeared in a bolt of lightning.

Some parts were inspired by Stand with Ward and Queen's 'Crisis on two earths' and 'A simple life' and Aragorn II Elessar's 'Heroes stand united' and 'Avengers, Slayer, Devil and Stones' and the part with reunion with Coulson is taken from my story 'All for one' and Stand with Ward and Queen's 'Crisis on two earths'

And yes, I am doing Steve/Sharon here and some bits are inspired by Stand with Ward and Queen's 'A simple life'. Frankly, as much as I enjoy reading stories with Steve/Natasha, since they have good interactions and chemistry together and it's really tempting to ship them, considering that Chris and Scarlett have played together in main roles before in two other films outside MCU, where they also had good chemistry and interactions, I'm a big Steve/Sharon fan, considering comics and Chris and Emily also had good chemistry together but Sharon got shelved aside for Peggy, who wasn't even a decent character or a love interest to begin with and Sharon was done so dirty, especially in Falcon and the Winter Soldier and don't get me started on what it did with Sam and Bucky.

To be clear, Oliver's dream was a nightmare, not what actually happened, since don't get me started on how stupid the cliffhanger with Lian Yu exploding was, especially, when all the actors were confirmed as main cast for Season 6, which made it obvious most of them survived and Samantha being the only casualty was just an excuse to make William Olicity child, which ironically was one of the three good things about the whole season, fixed Olicity, more or less, 6x18 with the hallucinations and Slade's arc with his son.

So, what do you guys think?

Please review and let me know if you have been enjoying this so far.
