I went downstairs, completely shocked. I saw my mom and my three sisters already eating breakfast. "There you are!" exclaimed my mom. "Sleeping in on your 12th birthday I see."

My 12th birthday!? I was already 14! "My 12th birthday?" I asked. "Don't you mean fourteenth?" I asked. "Now don't get ahead of yourself. You are still a kid," said my little sister. I rolled my eyes.

I ate a quick breakfast and went to the living room to think about my dream. I recalled when Arceus said I was the one. The one for what? I went for the door. "You're leaving already?" she asked. I nodded. "Well good luck, and stay safe." she said. I hugged her and headed out the door. Arceus was waiting for me there. "Hey," I said. "Why am I here?"

Arceus explained that he was brought into the Pokemon world to protect Ash and his friends with his partner Beldum. "Beldum? Since when?" I asked. "Since you arrived here." replied Arceus. "Check your bag."

I opened my bag and found a pokeball. "Alright, come on out Beldum!" Beldum popped out of the pokeball and it was gleaming silver. "A shiny Beldum?" I asked Arceus. He smiled. "Only the best from Arceus," I murmured. I returned Beldum and thanked Arceus. He then told me that Ash and Gary would soon arrive at professor Oak's lab. I should go meet them there.

Arceus then disappeared into thin air. Immediately, I ran to Oak's lab. When I arrived, Leaf was waiting. "Hey, I said to Leaf. She waved back. "How long have you been here?" I asked her. "About 2 minutes." "Cool," I responded. We waited by the front door for a while, then Gary came sprinting.

"Sorry I'm late," he gasped. "Well you are not as late as Ash. I wonder what's taking him so long." said Leaf. After 3 minutes, Gary jumped up. "I can't wait any longer. I'm going inside." "Wait! Gary! We have to wait for Ash!" "He's probably not coming. Maybe he is sick." He said. Gary then turned around and opened the door to Oak's laboratory. Leaf waited a second, looked at me, and beckoned me to go inside. I followed her in.

Gary chose Squirtle and Leaf chose Bulbasaur. When Professor Oak handed me Charmander's pokeball, I brought out Beldum, and everyone was in awe. I returned it and we went outside. Gary stayed behind to show Ash his new Pokemon, and Leaf and I waved and headed onto route one. We then encountered a horde of Rattata. "Go Bulbasaur!" said Leaf. "Go Beldum!" We both sent out our respective Pokemon. "Use Tackle!" shouted Leaf. "Use Headbutt Beldum!" I said. Beldum and Bulbasaur charged into the Rattata and knocked some out, but some were still standing. Leaf beamed. "I have an idea! Bulbasaur use Growl!" I caught on. "Alright use Headbutt one more time!" I said. Bulbasaur growled at the remaining Rattata and Beldum charged the weakened Rattata, taking them out.

"Great job Beldum, Bulbasaur. You did awesome too Leaf." Leaf blushed and thanked me. I was battling more Pidgeys and Spearows, and Leaf suddenly went ahead. "I want to catch more Pokemon and fast," said Leaf. I nodded and waved as she ran ahead of the path, and eventually disappeared. Beeldum was growing and getting stronger, and I was proud. "We are going to be a great team, aren't we Beldum?" I asked.

"Beldum Bel!"
