The following morning they all gathered in the yard at the back of the compound at the gravestone as Daisy stood in front of the group and fell on her knees, running her hands on the carving.
Phillip J. Coulson
Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.
An Avenger
Daisy stared at the grave for a moment before she turned around to face the gathered people in the row. From left to right were Tony, Pepper, Steve, Sharon, Oliver, Natasha, Barry, Caitlin, Harry, Clark, Kara, Zor-El, Bruce, Clint, Thor, Hunter, Mack and Fitz with Rocket and Nebula behind them.
Tony, Steve, Oliver, Natasha, Clint and Thor had emotionless masks, while Barry, Bruce, Rocket and Nebula looked at them in sympathy, Fitz and Pepper were wiping the tears off their faces and Hunter simply looked numb and everyone else had solemn looks.
"When I first met Phil Coulson, I was a captive of S.H.I.E.L.D. They'd wanted to arrest me for my hacktivist gig but Coulson saw something in me and took me in and recruited me, for which I'll always be grateful." Daisy said, sniffing and wiping the tears off her eyes. "It was the best thing that had happened to me. I found a family which I'd never thought I could have." She looked at Hunter, Mack and Fitz and remembered Jemma, Bobbi and her other friends in S.H.I.E.L.D. "Coulson was a great leader, director of S.H.I.E.L.D. and he treated me and other people like family. Whenever some of us struggled and faltered, he was there for us. He always protected me and looked out for me. He was a like fa…"
Daisy swallowed, unable to finish as her voice began to break and eyes were getting wet but they already knew what was she going to say. Everyone took a moment as they lowered their heads in respect as they mourned for Coulson before Mack approached Daisy and held her by her shoulders.
"It's OK, Daisy. It's OK." Mack said.
"Did he have any family?" Steve asked.
"Yeah. He had us." Mack said, his voice gruff with emotion.
"What?" Thor asked roughly, walking over to Steve.
"It was an honest question." Steve explained.
"No, you're acting like he's really gone. Why are we acting like he's gone? We get the stones from Thanos, we bring Coulson back with everyone else. We're the Avengers, get it together, Cap!" Thor suggested impatiently.
"We can't." Mack said as everyone turned to him. "That's not what he wanted."
"What does it matter what he wanted?!" Thor snapped, whirling on Mack. "Once we get the stones back—"
"Stop it! You have no idea what you're suggesting, do you?! You weren't there!" Mack exploded as everyone stared at him in shock, while Mack neared his face inches away from the god of thunder. "You weren't there when we'd found out that he was dying, you weren't there when he had told us over and over again that he had made peace with it and wasn't looking for some magical resurrection or a miraculous cure and you weren't there, when we had to watch him being in pain and were forced to sit on our asses and do nothing, since he didn't want us to try to save him! The man that you remember died years ago and since the day he was brought back from the dead, he had almost nothing but pain and misery! Let him finally rest in peace!"
For a moment, it was almost silent with the only sound being Mack's heavy breathing.
"He's right, Thor." Barry said as Thor turned to him. "I know what it's like to want to undo death of someone close to you and save them no matter what, but there's always a price and as hard as it is to accept, the best thing you can do is respect their wishes, even if it cuts deeper than any blade. I had a chance to save my mom, but I threw it away, since that wasn't what she would've wanted and the price was too high." He placed his hand on Thor's shoulder. "I know it's probably going to be the hardest thing in our lives but we need to let Coulson go. There's nothing else we can do for him anymore."
Hearing Barry's words, Thor sighed and nodded before he gave Mack an apologetic look and Mack nodded in understanding.
"Fitz." Harry spoke up as he turned to Fitz. "You and Stark come with me."
They entered the workshop, where Barry and Pietro had placed on the table several pieces machinery, tools and other equipment, while Harry showed them a holographic blueprint of a gauntlet similar to the Infinity Gauntlet.
"That's almost all of the stuff we could get from here and S.T.A.R. Labs." Barry said.
"I've been working on this since you told me about Thanos and the Infinity Stones." Harry said as he turned to Thor. "You said that after he snapped his fingers, the Gauntlet was burned into Thanos's hand, right?"
Thor nodded.
"Well, the vibranium should stabilize the Gauntlet, but let's not forget we're dealing with six of the most powerful objects in the multiverse, so we're just shooting in the dark here. It's all theory and equations and it's not like you have vibranium lying around." Harry said.
"Actually, we kind of do." Steve said as he picked his vibranium shield gauntlets from T'Challa and handed them to Fitz.
Zor-El took a look at the shield gauntlets, examining the metal. "Amazing. Metal capable of absorbing vibrations, I never thought I'd see something like this with my own eyes. Spectacular… it should withstand the power of the stones."
Fitz and Harry smiled at Zor-El's enthusiasm, glad to find a fellow scientist.
"Is it enough?" Barry asked.
"Only one way to find out." Fitz said.
"OK, now all we need to do is find Thanos." Oliver said.
"Don't bother."
They turned to Nebula, who had been observing from the door the whole time.
"I can tell you where Thanos is. He spent a lot of time trying to perfect me. And when he worked, he talked about his Great Plan. Even disassembled, I wanted to please him." Nebula explained. "I'd ask, where would we go once his plan was complete? And his answer was always the same." She leaned onto the table. "To the Garden."
"So, supervillain has a retirement plan." Frank grumbled. "Well, he better enjoy it while it lasts."
"So, where is he?" Steve asked as they stood around the table and Rocket turned on the hologram of Earth.
"When Thanos snapped his fingers, Earth became ground zero for a power surge of ridiculously cosmic proportions." Rocket said as they saw a pulse of energy coming throughout the Earth and possibly the entire Milky Way. "No one's ever seen anything like it. Until two days ago… on this planet."
The hologram showed a distant planet marked 0259-S, where the same power surge appeared.
"Thanos is there." Nebula realized.
"He used the stones again." Natasha deduced.
"Whoa, slow down, we're still going in short-handed." Barry said before he looked at Thor, Clark and Kara sheepishly. "No offense."
They shrugged.
"Don't you think it's quite convenient that we found him so easily? What if this is exactly what he wants? Lure us there so that he can kill us." Oliver said and Clark nodded.
"A trap." Clark said.
"Does it matter? He still has the bloody Stones." Constantine pointed out.
"If we're gonna get them back, we need all hands on deck." Steve said.
"And we better get started on building a teleporter to bring you to him." Harry said as he turned to Bruce, Zor-El and Tony, who nodded.
Kara was staring outside the window, when Zor-El approached her.
"Are you having doubts, Kara?" Zor-El asked.
"It's just that… I've never faced anything like this before." Kara said, looking unsure.
"No one has. But from what I've heard and been told, you've fought threats of similar proportions too. And you're not alone in this fight." Zor-El assured as he held Kara by her shoulder as she smiled at him.
"We'll always find a way to beat the odds." Clark said and Kara nodded. "I know you're afraid but as your father said, we're in this together."
Kara nodded as they smiled at each other and hugged in tight embrace.
"You two and my mom are the only family I have left… and I don't want to lose you." Kara said.
"As long as we have each other's backs, you won't." Clark promised and Kara nodded, with her eyes getting wet.
Bruce was in a bathroom, where he had splashed his face with handful of water, while looking at himself in the mirror and taking a deep breath, began talking to his reflection. "Alright, big guy. We need to talk. Now."
Bruce sighed as he splashed more water onto his face but when his vision cleared, he didn't see his reflection in the mirror anymore but Hulk's.
"So that's what it looks like up close." Bruce muttered.
"Hulk no talk to Banner. Puny Banner hates Hulk." Hulk said roughly.
"I don't hate you, Hulk. I've never hated you. I only hated that I had no control over us. I treated you like a curse, worried who you might hurt, when you saved me back then the first time and you didn't mean to hurt Betty or Ross. I was scared of you and tried to control you because the world tried too, but I realized it was wrong of me. I'm not Ross. And you're not my curse." Bruce pleaded. "And over the years, you've helped my friends too and they are your friends too. Now they need your help, our help, again. So, please, help us."
"Hulk help friends." Hulk said and Bruce nodded.
"Yes. You and me, we're gonna help them." Bruce said and Hulk stared, considering.
"Together." Hulk finally said before the reflection faded and Bruce saw only himself in the mirror.
"I've got something for you, Cap." Tony said as he accompanied Steve to one of the tables where was a pile of weapons and tools until Tony pulled out Steve's old shield from Howard that Steve had relinquished due to feeling unworthy of it, when the Accords had begun to be in effect and they had discovered the truth about the death of Tony's parents.
"Tony, I don't know…" Steve said hesitantly. While he appreciated Tony's token of peace, he wasn't sure he deserved that shield anymore.
"Why? He made it for you." Tony reminded. "Plus, honestly, I've gotta get this out of the lab, it's taking too much space."
After few moments of consideration, Steve gave Tony an appreciative smile and nodded, taking the shield. "Thank you, Tony."
"Will you keep that a little quiet? Didn't bring one for the whole team." Tony said and despite the circumstances, they both chuckled at Tony's antics, happy to relive the good old days. "We are getting the whole team, yeah?"
"We're working on that right now." Steve said.
New York
A man in a scorpion-like exoskeleton was running down the streets with bags of cash, while Spider-Man was web-swinging from above and dodged, when Mac Gargan aimed the tail at him and a pair of green laser beams shot out, while Spider-Man dodged them. Gargan climbed up the wall of a nearby building onto the rooftop before Spider-Man fired a line of webbing, ensnaring Gargan's tail as Spider-Man spun him around, slamming him to a nearby air conditioner unit before Gargan got up to his feet.
"Damn it! Why can't you leave me alone, stupid spider?" Gargan demanded.
"You almost killed those innocents, when taking the money. You think I'll let you get away with it?" Spider-Man demanded angrily.
"Too weak to let me die?" Gargan asked mockingly.
"No. I just wanna kill you myself." Spider-Man said coldly.
"Well, come on." Gargan taunted.
Spider-Man rushed at Gargan, who fired laser from his tail but Spider-Man dodged and Gargan swung the tail in an attempt to knock him away but Spider-Man jumped over and kicked him in the back, while grabbing the tail and with a grunt pulled before throwing Gargan, while electric sparks exploded as the tail was ripped off his suit.
Gargan got up on his feet as from his hands protruded claws as he whistled. Spider-Man flipped as Gargan aimed at his legs and dodged his blows before punching him in the hip but Gargan managed to hit him in the face. Spider-Man snarled in rage and webbed Gargan's hand to his leg and dodged the claws before punching him again but grunted in pain as Gargan cut him across his arm and punched him in the face in response. Fueled by rage, Spider-Man dodged as Gargan attacked again and ripped the clawed gauntlets off his wrists before retaliating and landing solid blows at Gargan as Gargan staggered back.
Spider-Man webbed Gargan by his shoulders and pulled, kneeing him in the face. Spider-Man webbed Gargan again and jumped over his back, slamming him to the ground before grabbing him by his collar and getting him on his knees as Spider-Man began pummeling him, not giving Gargan any opening to fight back, while delivering one furious punch after another until Gargan was knocked out, with his face bruised and bloodied. Suddenly, Gargan disappeared in a bolt of lightning before the Flash appeared in front of Spider-Man after taking Gargan to the police station, both of the vigilantes taking off their masks.
"I've been looking for you." Barry said.
"What do you want?" Peter demanded.
"I've seen the news. Spider-Man losing all restraint. Brutalizing criminals. Since when do you leave suspects with broken bones and missing teeth?" Barry asked worriedly.
"You wouldn't understand." Peter said brokenly as he turned, about to leave.
"My parents were murdered. Both of them. I couldn't stop it either." Barry explained as Peter turned to him. "Maybe I could have but… the price was too high."
Peter saw the pained look in Barry's eyes, feeling sympathies.
"So I kept going as the Flash, since that's what they would've wanted. On both occasions, I had the one responsible for each of my parents' death cornered. I wanted them both dead. I got what I wanted." Barry said as Peter's eyes were getting wet as he felt unexpected sympathies for Barry. "But it didn't make it better. The people who love me… it took a long time before they could help me pull back from that edge."
Peter saw the similarities between himself and Barry.
"I wanna kill him. I wanna tear him apart." Peter whispered, wanting Thanos dead for taking his only family away from him. "I miss her so much."
"I know." Barry said, placing his hand on Peter's shoulder. "You may have the power but…" He took a breath, remembering Peter telling everyone his backstory. "With great power…"
"…comes great responsibility." Peter finished as he turned around.
"And now we have a chance to get the power to bring everyone back. So I have to ask you, can you take that responsibility?" Barry asked.
"Don't." Peter snapped with his eyes getting wet.
"Don't what?" Barry asked as Peter turned to him.
"Don't give me hope." Peter said brokenly.
"I'm sorry I couldn't give it to you sooner." Barry said as he offered his hand and Peter, after some consideration, took it. "Come on. Let's go."
Josie's Bar
"I miss Foggy, you know?" Josie said.
"Me too." Karen said as Josie poured her and Matt another beer.
"I just don't know how are we gonna—" Matt stopped, when his phone rang, while repeatedly saying 'OLIVER' as he answered the call. "Yeah? Wait, slow down, what? Are you… yeah, yeah. I'm on my way."
"What's going on?" Karen asked as Matt hung up and put on his jacket and picked his cane before turning to Karen.
"The Avengers have a plan." Matt whispered and Karen's eyes widened as she looked shocked at first, then hopeful before Matt left the bar.
Karen had no idea what were they up to but whatever it was, she was hoping that it would bring everyone, Foggy included, back.
Pittsburgh
Martin Stein and Ronnie Raymond were in Stein's lab, tinkering with some device, when they heard the phone ring and Ronnie answered it and sighed in relief.
"Cait. Thank God." Ronnie said, relieved before looking interested. "New York?" He turned to Stein. "Yeah. We're on our way."
"What's going on, Ronald?" Stein asked.
Star City
A brunette woman was in her apartment, coming out of her shower, with a towel wrapped around, when she noticed the uninvited visitor in her apartment as she smiled. "It's been a long time, hasn't it, Oliver?"
"I didn't come here for a trip down memory lane, Helena." Oliver said.
"Then why are you here?" Helena Bertinelli asked as she turned to the drawer, placing the towel on a hanger and revealing her naked back to him as she put on a nightie. "If you're worried that I'm taking an advantage of the city in chaos and killing people, I don't do that anymore, so you don't have to worry that you'll have to arrest me."
"I know." Oliver nodded. "I know you've changed and that you don't want to taste that darkness anymore. But right now… we could use some of that darkness. We need your help, Helena."
Helena turned to him, looking interested. "You must be really desperate if you're asking me of all people for help, Oliver. What's going on?"
Wildcat Gym
Laurel, wearing a tank top and training gloves and athletic pants was in the ring with Ted Grant as she kept punching furiously the boxing pads in Ted's hands.
"Nice form but you need to pivot your hips more." Ted said.
Laurel yelled as the following punch staggered Ted back.
"I'm guessing you also lost some people who got dusted too, right?" Ted asked.
"What does it matter to you?" Laurel asked as she panted out, while sweat began soaking into her clothes.
"I get it. Being consumed with guilt, grief, anger and loss that you need to vent out. But trust me, coming here isn't going to make it go away. Trying to run from the pain is not the answer, Laurel." Ted said.
"What makes you think I'm trying to escape anything?" Laurel asked.
"Why else would you put that much fire into your punches?" Ted asked. Laurel then began increasing the tempo of her punches but Ted began blocking and dodging. "Here's the thing about anger, Laurel, if you let it consume you, then soon enough…" He dodged and disappeared from Laurel's sight before he suddenly grabbed Laurel by her arm, threw her over his shoulder and knocked her down as Laurel grunted. "…you lose sight of everything."
Laurel took a few heavy breaths as Ted offered his hand and she took it, while she got up on her feet.
"I get it, Laurel. But this isn't gonna help you deal with grief. It's only gonna replace it with rage, not make things any better." Ted pointed out.
"So, what? You're kicking me out?" Laurel asked.
"I didn't say that." Ted said. "But if we're gonna continue training, you need to clear your head. Come with me, have a beer."
"No alcohol for me. Alcoholism is kind of a family issue." Laurel declined. "I'll settle for soda."
"Fair enough." Ted said as they got down from the ring, when Laurel's phone rang at the bench and she came to pick it and answered the call.
"Hey, Ollie." Laurel said. "Wait. Are you sure? Really? How do you know it will—Oh. OK. Just be careful." She took a breath as her eyes began getting wet, while her voice began breaking. "Thank you."
Ted approached her as Laurel hung up.
"You alright?" Ted asked.
"Yeah. It was… a friend of mine. He let me know something that… I kind of needed some hope in these days and he gave me some good news. We could use even a sliver of hope now." Laurel said and Ted nodded.
"Can't argue with you there." Ted said as they went out.
San Francisco
In the streets a young Asian man in a red and grey jacket and white shirt and black pants was engaging a group of thugs, expertly dodging and blocking their blows before he jumped on the wall and kicked them down. Two of them recovered but the man dodged as they pulled out knives and tried to cut him but the man grabbed them by their wrists and disarmed them before he began throwing punches and kicks, swiftly taking down the thugs.
"Nice form, Shang." Colleen said as she approached.
Shang-Chi turned around as he smiled at her. "Colleen Wing. What brings you to San Francisco?"
"The people turning into dust, I'm working with the Avengers to undo it. And we could use some help. Are you in?" Colleen asked and Shang-Chi smiled.
"Whenever, wherever." Shang-Chi said with a nod as they shook hands.
Later, Avengers Compound
Slade was entering the compound, when Barry sped in with Peter, who both stared at Slade in shock.
"Wait, we're working with Deathstroke too?" Peter demanded incredulously.
"I know. I know. But he's on our side this time. And we gotta do whatever it takes to get the stones back." Barry explained as he turned to Slade. "If Oliver vouches for you, that's good enough for me. But if you go out of line…"
Slade nodded, when Oliver entered with Helena.
"Well, I'm taking back what I said. You're not desperate. You're insane. Recruiting me is one thing but recruiting the guy who almost killed your family?" Helena said as she noticed Slade.
"The Mirakuru wore off a long time ago. I'm as much reformed as you are, Miss Bertinelli." Slade explained.
"If you say so." Helena shrugged.
"We're waiting for few others too and we're gonna some new gear too before we make a move on Thanos." Oliver said.
The Garden, New Titan
Thanos was in the Garden, staring at the sun, when he heard a voice behind him.
"They will be coming for you."
"I'm counting on it." Thanos said as he got up and turned around to face the red-eyed shadow in shape of a man.
"They will come with you with everything they have to get the Stones back." The shadow said.
"Then I'm going to come at them with everything I have to stop them." Thanos said as he looked down at the charred Infinity Gauntlet.
Lian Yu
Adrian Chase was pacing around in the cell in A.R.G.U.S. prison, vowing to get revenge on Oliver Queen, when he heard screams and gunshots before the door opened to reveal China White.
"Well, well, well. What brings you here?" Adrian asked with a smirk as he neared the bars of his cell. "I thought you were dead."
"For some people death is meaningless. I'm here to offer you a deal. Your freedom in return for one thing for me and my new friends." White said.
"Which is what?" Adrian asked.
"Help us make Oliver Queen and his friends suffer." White said and Adrian smirked, intrigued by the offer.
"When do we begin?"
The Phantom Zone
Zod was sitting on his throne, seething as he glared down on the floor.
"You are trapped here but that doesn't have to be a case anymore."
Zod looked up to face a shade in shape of a human with red eyes.
"Who are you?" Zod demanded with eyes narrowed at the specter in front of him. Was it another phantom?
"My name is Eobard Thawne. You know the saying, 'Enemy of my enemy is my friend'?" Thawne asked. "You could say that Kal-El is my enemy too due to his friend being my enemy. And I have a proposal for you. One of my friends will let you out and in exchange, you'll help us make Kal-El and his friends suffer. And when it is done, they'll kneel before Zod before we finish them. So, will you join us?"
Zod smirked with sadistic glee. "With pleasure."
"Good." Thawne said.
A moment later a blue portal opened where on the other side Zod saw a giant purple alien with a charred golden gauntlet with glowing gems embedded in it and behind him some kind of a garden.
Nidavellir
A bright beam of light flashed on the floor and disappeared as Oliver, Tony, Thor, Clark and Diana entered the forge, with Oliver and Tony looking around in amazement at the metal rings and equipment and supplies in the armory.
"So you're back with new friends, Thor." Eitri said as he walked in.
"That's a dwarf?" Tony demanded as he and Oliver stared in disbelief.
"Yes." Eitri said.
"Is there a problem?" Thor asked.
"I expected something small, not Tyrion Lannister before he walked into a brothel with a honeycomb and a jackass." Tony said and Oliver and Thor shook his head at his antics, while Eitri looked confused at the reference.
"Asgard hadn't developed the ability of Allspeak which allows us to communicate with any species in their own language back then, so your people mistranslated our explanation on the dwarves as that we are bigger than them, when in fact they are bigger than us." Thor explained.
"It's a general misconception. Even the Amazons are aware of the rumor." Diana said.
"An Amazon." Eitri said, looking at Diana in surprise. "I never thought I'd see one of your kind."
"And it is an honor to meet a dwarf in person. I'm sorry that you are the last of your people." Diana said as she bowed before Eitri in respect.
"We meant no offense, we're just surprised, that's all." Oliver said and Eitri nodded.
"No harm done. But why did you come back here?" Eitri asked.
"We failed to stop Thanos." Thor said regretfully.
"We have a plan to undo what he did but for that plan to work, we need your help." Oliver explained.
"We're going to need weapons and suits of armor." Tony said.
"I can make them, but are you sure you can hold the iris that long, Thor?" Eitri asked.
"He doesn't have to. I'll do it." Clark volunteered.
Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters
Logan was getting on a bike, when Bobby and Storm approached him.
"Logan, what's going on?" Storm asked.
"We're heading to help the Avengers. Cap said that they had a plan to bring everyone back." Logan explained as they looked hopeful, while Logan drove off.
Avengers Compound
After Barry and Pietro had helped Zor-El, Harry, Bruce and Tony with the teleporter, Barry was getting some rest as he sat on a nearby couch, when Patty approached.
"Barry, are you sure this will work?" Patty asked.
"Honestly, no. But it's our only chance we've got." Barry said and Patty nodded before she kissed him and then pulled away.
"OK. Just be careful." Patty said before she lowered her voice. "I love you."
"I love you too." Barry said.
Caitlin saw a car pull over and smiled as Ronnie and Stein went out and she rushed to Ronnie, kissing him.
"Hey, Cait." Ronnie said.
"You have no idea how happy I am to see you." Caitlin said as they kissed.
"Caitlin." Stein greeted as Caitlin smiled at him and hugged him.
"Been a while, Martin." Caitlin said before she turned to Ronnie.
"Tell me Cisco and—"
"No. Cisco, Allegra, Jesse, Ralph, they didn't make it but we're working on getting them back but we could use professor's brains and your hands." Caitlin said as they chuckled at each other.
Peter was preparing his cartridges with web, when Barry approached him.
"Hey, Pete." Barry said.
"Hey." Peter said as he looked at Barry, a little ashamed. "Look, about earlier—"
"No, I get it." Barry assured. "Trust me, everyone has a breaking point and goes over the edge at some point. But what matters is that you managed to find your way back before it was too late."
"Have you ever killed anyone?" Peter asked.
"Actually, yeah. Twice. Even though it wasn't on purpose and I pretended I didn't kill them but… I caused it." Barry admitted, much to Peter's shock. "I didn't mean to but… it did happen. I'd told myself that it wasn't on purpose and that I didn't know they'd die but their blood is on my hands and every day I wish there had been another way."
Peter looked at Barry in consideration.
"Yeah, there are some dark and twisted scumbags who deserve to die but taking a life changes you. It makes you second-guess every decision you make forever and it's going to haunt you. And I know that you're a good kid, Pete." Barry said and Peter considered before smiling and nodding appreciatively as they shook hands.
Nidavellir
Clark was holding the iris of the star open, while the beam was melting the Uru ore in the vat. Tony, Thor and Diana were holding the levers of the wheel and began pushing as the vat tilted and the melted metal poured into the mold, where Tony had kept his broken suit as well. Tony then pulled the mold out and began smashing it, revealing an armor underneath it. Under his and Eitri's instructions, Thor and Diana assembled all the pieces until two holes which were clearly the eyes of the armor's helmet glowed brightly while Tony smirked. He put his hand on the chestpiece and soon, the nanites encased his body like they had when he had first used it in Greenwich Village before putting on the new armor as it absorbed the nanites and soon, Tony was wearing a red and yellow armor which had a greyish tint on it with a helmet slightly larger than his normal ones and with a small V-shaped protrusion. Thor thought it made the armor resemble the Destroyer armor. The gauntlets were also larger than his normal ones and more muscular.
The Iron Man Armor: Mark LI was created at last.
"Well, all it needs is some paint job right now and it will be the most awesome thing ever." Tony said as he looked at the gods. "Well, one of the rare occasions I give someone half the credit."
"This armor is impressive." Diana noted.
"The Uru should protect you from magic as well and the lightning shall enhance the features on your armor and the same with the arrows." Thor said as he turned from Tony to Oliver, who filled his quiver with Uru arrows enchanted with lightning.
"Cool." Tony said as everyone chuckled and goodheartedly rolled their eyes at his antics.
"Let's go home." Thor said as he raised the Stormbreaker and the beam of Bifrost consumed the group.
The Sinister Six was teased in Homecoming, so it was only a matter of time before Mac Gargan would escape and become Scorpion and hope you liked the reference to No Way Home, only instead of Peter vs. Goblin it was Peter vs. Scorpion and given that he had lost May, Peter would give into his rage as well but he didn't go so far as with Goblin to the point of an attempted murder, since Gargan didn't kill May here.
And don't get me started on how The Flash shrugs off like nothing when Barry kills someone. Atom Smasher, Sand Demon and Zoom, technically, Barry left him to suffer a fate worse than death by letting the Time Wraiths take Zoom instead of Barry and turning Zoom into Black Flash and yet everyone pretends that Barry is this saint with his hands clean, not even a little bit bothered with his kills, whereas, when Oliver is concerned, when he kills someone, he is a monster and a serial killer and Diggle, Felicity, Laurel, Joe and others act like it's the end of the world. And I watched Armageddon out of curiosity and it was a "Meh" crossover but what really pissed me off was the final part, where it turned out that Thawne was dying and it was going to be permanent death with him being slowly erased from existence and Barry, Iris and Caitlin were willing to let Thawne die, while the newbies from Season 6, Chester and Allegra, were bothered and suggested helping Thawne since they had no idea what Thawne was capable of and were all about saving lives, so they deserve some slack there but Joe especially was annoying at that moment, when he lectured Original Team Flash and Iris about that they had the obligation to save people, Thawne included, but Barry, Iris and Caitlin wanted to let him die, especially when Thawne vowed he would do what he always does once they helped him, making Barry suffer until Barry in the end took away Thawne's powers and sent him to A.R.G.U.S. prison, while Thawne vowed revenge, as usual. I mean, really, Joe, get off your goddamned high horse and open your eyes. Honestly, I was done with Arrowverse long ago and I only watched Season 7 for Thawne and while seeing him was fun, the writing of the episode in general was weird with the Star Wars rip-off battle of Barry and Thawne vs. Godspeed in the finale and half of the things in the Armageddon crossover barely made any sense at all, if anything, only Superman & Lois seems worth watching from Arrowverse at this point, even though the family drama with Clark, Lois and their sons and Lana and her daughters is just as tiring as in other CW DC Comics shows.
Plus, I had Ronnie survive, since do not get me started on how he and Caitlin were done dirty.
Laurel as a vigilante was mishandled, since her only motivation and incentive was losing Sara and Oliver in Season 3 of Arrow, plus, skill-wise in comparison to other Canaries (Sara, Black Siren, Dinah Drake), she is the weakest, but I do have a minor subplot prepared for her.
The Bruce/Hulk scene is inspired again by Stand with Ward and Queen's 'Crisis on two earths' and Aragorn II Elessar's 'A Beautiful Journey' and the heroes getting new gear from Eitri is from Aragorn's 'Heroes stand united'
And yes, Shang-Chi is here too. For the sake of this story, the events of the film happened sometime before Infinity War but it's not like he had any interactions with other heroes and Wong wasn't in the fight club here, since if you put the Wong vs. Abomination fight aside, the events of the film would go down the same way more or less and I guess Wong would find out about the rings one way or another after the defeat of the Dweller in Darkness and I think it would make sense if Shang-Chi later crossed paths with Danny or Colleen. I don't know about you, guys, but I personally found Shang-Chi and Legend of the Ten Rings decent, nothing great but not bad either, outside of one or two things that irked me a bit. On the other hand, Black Widow or Eternals, each of those films has their own glaring issues I shall not go into. Spider-Man: No Way Home I absolutely loved, in spite of some more minor issues that I could easily overlook, luckily but personally I think that Phase 4 is going to be a mixed bag, with each movie either being promising or disastrous in one way or another. The series they've got ready seem promising but outside of Hawkeye, which brought us Kate Bishop, who was fun to see, most of the Disney+ series were trash in one way or another. I'm curious about Moon Knight but it's better to be cautiously optimistic, given Disney's track.
And Helena in this story is reformed, more or less and released on early parole from prison and the heroes have recruited her too.
So, what do you guys think?
