"I won't make you wait months for a new chapter"

s o r r y.

YeAh a lot of things to address here. My inactivity is due to me being lazy, yeah, I know, really dumb.

To answer some questions in the comments,

now I know this wasn't a question but I just straight up never knew the earth just... didn't rotate so uh, since I didn't know where specifically it was mentioned that something had happened due to the rotation of the earth, ignore that? I guess? sorry, again.

When I refer to painful I mean it, like pain for androids, pain for Nathan, maybe pain for you. I'm not expecting to write something that'd make you cry or something, just something to entertain you. But if I do make you cry, then I will cry tears of happiness. Invoking that much emotion in someone through writing would be such an achievement for me.

Romance? Maybe? I guess? I'm not too certain, not to say it would be hard for Nathan to get a harem of androids, he's basically god to them. But still, you can't foresee the future, I can because I'm awesome and the writer but you can't.

And lastly, Nathan will stay purely 100% human. There won't be any magic and he won't be going on a massive power trip. He can only become as strong as a human could. A human isn't super weak, after all, I mean, we're literally the apex predator of our planet so it's gotta mean something.

It was rather loud, people chatting and speaking to each other as they ate the cheap school lunches that Nathan was sure would give you food poisoning if you ate it. Nathan sat alone, in the corner of the cafeteria by himself as he unpacked his home made lunch. He hadn't eaten anything since yesterday so he was pretty hungry, he took out a sandwich and began taking bites out of it. Nathan wondered to himself if he was really just gonna stick to the same routine everyday doing the same thing over and over and ove-

"Heya!"

What? Who is that and why are they so loud? If they're greeting someone they dont need to be so loud that other people at other tables can hear the-

"wha- uh, hi"

Nathan looked infront of himself to see someone, who had just sat down infront of him on his table to talk to him. Why? Why had someone decided to speak to him?Why was someone trying again? Oh well, maybe he should amuse them until they leave? Or until he leaves.

"Im S-[an]a."

"What? Sorry I, I didn't quite get that."

"12B! Im 12B, and your name?"

"Oh, I'm Nathan. I guess you're new here?"

"Nope! Been here since grade 1! Always seen you lurkin' around here by yourself. Even when people try and talk to you they leave! Take it people call ya the "weird" kid?"

"Well that's rather blunt.. isn't it?"

"Oh no sorry! I meant nothing by it! I was the weird kid myself at my last school, making a new turn for myself! I'm trying to get as many friends as possible!"

"Oh, then, maybe you should look elsewhere.."

"Elsewhere? Are there any people that still actually say that? Anyways, naaaah, I think I'll stay here with you. You seem interesting, that's why."

"Oh, you answered the question I was gonna ask you- Uh, then, uh, how was your day?"

"Sunny and bright! Fun since I've gotten to meet you anyways."

"oH- tHaNkS-"

We're talking to each other now. This is, weird.

Why am I enjoying this?

So anyways, me back! Me me! me is back! Yes yes, big sorry for leave. Yeah anyways, I'm back without writers block! things a looking bright! With nothing else, ready, set and enjoy :)

oh and, just know, no matter how long it'll take, the next chapter will always happen eventually.

Nathan woke up in his bed, it wasn't the comfiest and he only realized that now. He looked at the ceiling, and sighed as he listened to the sounds of the ceiling lamp. Eventually he gathered up enough energy to get himself out of bed. He folded the blanket and placed it neatly on the bed before stretching and looking outside a window.. except there wasnt one. He just face palmed and walked over to the door, grabbing the handle and opening it. He took in a deep breath of fresh air. It was raining today, the sky was covered in clouds and there weren't many androids outside. Maybe it would be the perfect time for him to get outside? He didn't like this place, it honestly kind of scared him. These androids were so blindly in love with humanity it was freaking him out.

He stepped outside, noting that there wasn't an overhanging ceiling out his door. To be fair, these buildings did seem to be giant structures, apartment blocks or something on the lines of that. He looked side to side, only two androids were outside currently. One hanging around a trash can looking up towards the melancholy grey sky. The other was sitting down by the two small steps Infront of a door. It gave him an odd vibe, not to say he was having anything but odd vibes. He began walking, ignoring the two androids along the way, it would be best to hide your identity. After all, if he did, he'd be stripped of his freedom. Or well, probably stripped of his freedom. He began walking outside, he made it to the entrance of where he had presumably been carried through.

"So.. This is the exit"

He said to himself as he looked outside, He heard the wind blowing inside. He was kind of mortified by it really, like a genuine wall in his path. Though some wind wasn't ezeenough to rot his determination. He looked behind him once more, before taking in a deep breath of air and walking outside. As he exited the small alleyway and the light stopped being blinding he looked around. it looked like more of the same, though there were a few animals and the such roaming around. There were a few ponds, he hadnt seen water in... well, since he got here. He hadn't noticed it but he was actually really thirsty, why he hadn't noticed until now? He wasn't sure, maybe there was an actual reason. Maybe there wasn't.

All he knew was that he wanted to go look at it, and touch it. He would certainly want a drink but he wasn't that desperate... On second thought maybe he was that desperate. He went over to the edge of the water and crouched down. Scooping up some water from the pond and drank it. He gagged from the horrible taste, water with a taste is horrible enough but this had the amazing spices such as: dirt, fish residue and various micro organisms werent the beat blend. But he forced it down because otherwise he wouldn't last much longer. He also wondered to himself why 12B hadn't given him water along with the food. Maybe they just forgot? Hopefully thats what happened.

Anyways he got back up after gulping down a sufficient amount of p o n d water. He looked back again towards the android camp, no one was following him luckily. But that probably won't stay the same in a few hours. Those androids probably had some way of locating him right? I mean in the year 2000 humans could do that easily, so now that it's like, the year 11000 androids would definitely be able to do so with ease. So with a quick extra gulp of the murky pond water Nathan was off. He ran between a couple alley ways, getting so far away that he now... just didn't know where he was. No turning back now fortunately... or unfortunately. Nathan continued walking, he would make note of the few gigantic trees looming around. A few of them had used the remains of skyscrapers to stay up, by climbing up them as they grew.

Now that he thinks about it, even if the androids hadn't told him how long its been, he probably could've figured it out by the size of these trees. The amount of years it'd take for them to get this big, yeah, it'd be quite obvious at that point. He sighed, would he really have to forget the past? Everything? It can't be that simple..

"This sucks!"

He said as he kicked a rock across the ground, a few mooses (it should be meese) got up from the ground and looked towards the rock he had kicked and then at Nathan. Nathan, knowing that mooses are absolute hulking tanks of nature backed the hell away while looking at them. Getting into a building and then bolting to the second floor. They looked angry, and Nathan sure as hell didn't want to get trampled to death by the hooves of a moose (or more). Though he would have to find a way to eat something, otherwise he'd just die. He could kill them by throwing rocks at them from high up or something. But then cooking them comes into question, how does one start a fire again? Don't you like, smash two rocks against each other?

"..No, you need copper or something dumb like that."

Nathan mumbled outloud to himself as he watched the mooses from the second floor. This was the only entertainment now, no YouTube or video games now. GOD DAMN IT! THATS THE WORST PART OF THIS! THE HELL IS HE GONNA DO IN HIS FREE TIME??? Nathen sighed into his hands. This seriously sucked. Maybe he should just go back to the androids, they gave him food and a bed to sleep on! How could this be better! Who needs freedom when you can have a nice and warm bed.. God damn it! How's he gonna make it back? Nathan you're the worst at decision making. He flopped down to the cold concrete ground as he was lost in thought for a second, soon after he was pulled out of those thoughts when he heard the sound of rusty machinery and something hitting the ground hard repeatedly. Was it one of those death bots?

He stood back up and looked out the window, and indeed there was one of those rather cute looking murder death bots. They really don't look like they destroyed humanity, but hey! They did! So best stay clear right?.. Wait, Nathan had just gotten a really stupid and bad idea. Those things are machines, and usually when machines go kaboom there's fire. So if he gets meat, he could possibly use that fire to cook something. But he'd still need to get some sort of meat first. He was pretty sure he could survive off meat alone, so if he also ate fish somehow he could probably live without risking death by poison berries. Now then, what does he get first? The meat, or the fire? Well, seeing as getting moose meat could be as simple as throwing rocks at it from afar and fighting a murder death bot might get him killed if he isn't fast enough.. Yeah he'd much rather just go for tangling with a moose.

But, the murder death bot is still outside and roaming about, how would he kill the moose if the murder death bot is trying to kill him whie hes trying to kill the moose? How would he even go about killing a murder death bot? Man this is so complicated, why cant he just rub a couple of sticks together really fast and start a fire like the nature experts on tv do? Oh right. He isnt a nature expert. Wheres a convenient fruit tree when you need it? He decided that there was only one way to find out, trial and error! Hopefully, without a lot of error. Nathan looked at where the murder death bot was, it had gotten pretty far away while he was deep in thought. This would be the perfect oppertunity to catch it off guard! And do what with that oppertunity exactly? Nathan had no clue! as he walked down he noticed a bit of loose rebar. He walked over to it and without a second thought of getting tetanus he grabbed it with with of his hands firmly.

"Come on you ripped off the pipe you can rip this off too!"

He said as he then pulled back and down on it with all of his might. It came off! Haha! Nathan was gonna congratulate himself but due to the force he put into pulling the rebar he fell down right along with it. It hurt quite a bit and the rebar flung out from his hands and clunked against the ground several times. Nathans hands were slightly ripped now, that hurt quite a bit. Nathan eventually got back up and rubbed his back as he did so. Why cant he be more careful? Whatever, Nathan walled over to the piece of rebar and picked it up, his hands stung when he held it. Hopefully he doesnt get tetanus. He looked outside, the murder death bot was now smashing itself at something that looked like a vending machine.

"..Thats what ended humanity?.. really?-"

Belittling the machine aside, Nathan began walking towards it quietly while making sure to stay clear of mooses. He eventually made it to the vending machine and the murder death bot. It was completely unaware of Nathans presence because of how cool and stealthy he is, well, thats what Nathan believes. Anyways, he waited for it to attack one more time before smashing the rebar into the machines head. A shockwave went through Nathans body as holy hell does that hurt, its like when you hit a strong stick against a metal pole where your arms feel wobbly from the pushback. Anyways, he made a noticeable dent in the machines head, the top layer of metal peeling off and a few wires and circuits popping out.

Nathan thought he had done it, he thought he had destroyed the murder death bot! Unfortunately for Nathan, the machine spun its head 180. It then looked at Nathan for two seconds before screaming "DEATH TO HUMANS" and it spun the rest of its body around before jumping in the air. Now Nathan remembers the display of strength it showed.. yesterday? He wasn't quite sure, night hadn't come yet so maybe it was just one really long day? That doesn't matter Nathan! you're gonna frigging die! Move you idiot!

Nathan launched himself to the side in a panick, his stick of rebar once again was flung out of his hand as he hid the ground and slid slightly aswell. He quickly got back up however, if he stayed on the ground he'd be, well, bloody mush. When he got up he looked for two things, A, the machine which was directly infront of him and approaching rapidly B his stick of rebar which was laying on the ground a few meters away. Would it even be a good idea to try and continue the fight? His hit didn't do much as the machine was clearly still yearning for human destruction. So in a panick once again he ran to the rebar and picked it up, looking back towards the machine.. was this really worth it?- Maybe-

Nathan waited once again for the machine to make the first move. He sure as hell wasnt blocking anything because that machine would just punch right through the rebar and break all of his ribs. So he waited, and the machine got close launching itself towards him, Nathan not wanting to get his bones pulverized stepped to the side and while doing so he got behind the robot and stuck the rebar into the dent he had made in the machines head, he got about 2 thirds of its length into the machine. It twitched around for a second, Nathan asummes this means its gonna explode so he tries ripping the rebar out. Unsuccessful. He decides to abandon his weapon and run, and run he did until it exploded.

His ears rang as he landed face first in the dirt. He got up and laid down back towards the ground, he didnt hear the robot so he thought he was safe. He sat up and looked over, success was his! Nathan had actually destroyed it! And various pieces of firey residue were left on the ground... Now uh, he hoped it wouldn't be put out soon because he still has an entire moose to kill. He seriously just shouldve gone for the moose first.

Whatever, this wasnt all for nothing, he now knows that he actually has the ability to take on one murder death bot on in a one on one battle and win. And that it produces fire aswell. He once again sighed and looked around for any straggler mooses that were far away from the others, he obviously wouldnt be able to take a moose head on like the murder death bot but he could probably use that big thinker of his to find a way to kill the moose. While he looked around, he noticed a very small figure on top of a giant skyscraper..

uh oh, hes being watched. Nathan would feel a heavy amount of anxiety and fear fill his body as he stared at the figure, and the figure was asumadly staring right back at him. Maybe this was a good thing? If he gets caught hed probably get a simpler life but- Would it really be fun? He couldnt decide, first he wants freedom, then he wants to go back, then he wants freedom again. Nathan couldnt make up his mind. But it had been a good 2 minutes before the figure ran off to other buildings and disappeared. He was so totally being watched. He went over to the scraps of the murder death bot and looked for anything salvageable.

He grabbed random parts of metal and one surprisingly intact arm from the ground and ran for it. He went inside a new building, if he wanted to seriously be safe hed probably have to find one building where no one could get inside. Thatd be what hed hope for, but he probably wont get anything too good. He looked inside the structure he was in currently. It was cold, and it looked dangerous to even just step foot inside of the building. But its better than being visible outside, so he climbed the stairs until he couldnt. Which was around the third floor, because the stairs crumbled at this point. He just decided to sit in the corner and look at what he had.

He was terrified, what if that android from before was coming to his location? What if it was some scary bad rogue android that wanted to kill humanity? How could he possibly even defend himself against an android?... He probably couldnt.. and thats what scared him the most. How completely out of control he is most of the time here, but, thats enough deep thinking for "today". Nathan sat down against the wall, holding the scraps he got from the murder death bot as he stared at a wall to fall asleep. Tomorrow is another day.

Wooooo, ok thats chaoter 3. I hope I get to see you soon. and not in hAlF a YeAr- Thanks for reading.
