A cool wind blows flowing through the open window of Team RWBY's dorm. The cool air causes Weiss to stir. Her ice blue eyes flutter open to see Hope snuggled against her shivering slightly as if she were cold. Weiss looks around to see Blake Awake reading a book in her bed already dressed in the school uniform, Yang brushing her hair using a hand held mirror eyes glowing red showing her frustration, and Weiss could only assume Ruby was the one in the bathroom. Weiss yawns lightly before grabbing her scroll from the dresser next to her checking the time. Weiss frowns slightly at the time not wanting to wake her daughter, but knowing she'd have to.

"Hope," Weiss whispers softly brushing Hopes hair out of her face. "It's time to wake up." Hopes face scrunches up cutely causing Weiss to chuckle. "I know you don't want to but we have to."

Yang chuckles taking a break from brushing her hair to look over. "You know Hope if you don't get up Ruby plans to blow a whistle to wake you up." Yang threatens playfully. Truth be told Ruby had said she would if Hope wasn't in the room, but because she is it Ruby's plan would never happen. Either way Hope's glowing Ocean blue eyes flutter open in with pout.

Weiss mouths out a thank you to Yang who gives a thumbs up. Once out of bed Weiss began laying out her uniform on the bed before getting Hope an outfit for the day as well. Once that was done Weiss looked over to Hope who was sniffling. Allergy's. Weiss thought. Her thoughts were confirmed when Hope began trying to hold in a sneeze. Suddenly Ruby comes out of the bathroom dressed and ready with a bright smile.

"Alright guys are you all..." Hope then sneezed a large web of silk which covered Ruby. Weiss was shocked and backed up a bit as Hope rubbed her nose. Once she was sure Hope wasn't gonna sneeze again Weiss stepped forward again.

"Hope? Are you okay?" Weiss asked worriedly.

"I'm okay." Hope says with a sniff. "My nose just feels..."

"Stuffy?" Weiss offers.

"Yeah!" Hope smiles before sneezing another web of silk once again on Ruby earning a 'Oh Come On!'. Yang laughs at her sisters misfortune while Blake approached Weiss and Hope.

"She might have silk glands from being a Faunus." Blake states trying to help Weiss. "Though, typically a Faunus would only have silk glands or wings not both."

Weiss cringed a bit at that. "She's a bit of a... special case on that." She explains.

Blake nods accepting the response. "I'll do some digging in the library to help with this." Blake says gesturing to the silk covered Ruby who was frantically pulling it of with little effect.

"So," Yang says. "What do we do about our stuff? We didn't unpack yesterday so all of our stuff is in that corner." True to Yang's words off I the corner was the team's stuff stacked in a comically large pile.

"We could worry about it after classes today." Blake suggests. "It would give us time to help Hope stop sneezing silk."

"This stuff is silk?" Ruby questions. Being completely ignored for the moment.

"Do you think Professor Ozpin knows what to do?" Weiss asks.

"Possibly." Blake shrugs before ducking to dodge another silk sneeze.

Weiss grabs her scroll and calls the Professor. After a few moments he picks up. "Hello Miss Schnee. Might I ask why your calling?"

"Yes, um, well It's Hope. She started sneezing silk this morning and I'm not sure what to do." Weiss says a slightly panicking inside.

She could hear Ozpin chuckle on the other end. "She'll be fine Miss Schnee though a bit uncomfortable for a day or two. That being said you should take today and tomorrow to care for her until she stops. This should be a one time thing, a side effect to her... origins." Ozpin explains. "Also tell Miss Rose to use rubber. It'll come off much easier that way."

After Yang and Blake helped get the silk off of Ruby with the advice of using rubber Weiss found herself taking care of Hope who was getting progressively worse. What started out as just silky sneezes had become a fever.

Weiss took a washcloth and soaked it under the cold water of the bathroom sink. After it was cold enough Weiss turned off the water and rung out the cloth a bit so it would only be damp. Returning to Hope who lay under the covers groaning in discomfort Weiss lays the cloth on her forehead. Weiss was terrified beyond belief. She was doing the only things she could think of. Everything to get the fever to go down but it just kept rising.

"Momma?" Weiss could see Hope's eyes filling with tears. "My head hurts."

"I know Sweetheart, I know." Weiss says worriedly. Suddenly Weiss hears the door unlock as Blake enters holding a glass with some kind of green juice.

"This should help." Blake says holding up the glass for emphasis. Weiss looked skeptical. "This juice contains algae, calcium, and slight lemon juice. It should not only make her feel better but force the silk out."

"How dose it do that exactly?" Weiss asks in concern.

"The lemon irritates the silk glands causing it to react. According to what I've read this kind of thing is common with Moth Faunus who were originally going to be born as a caterpillar Faunus. Once the silk is out the silk gland should seal up, and never open again."

"So once this is over it shouldn't happen again?" Weiss questions.

"Correct."

"So what dose the algae, and calcium do then?"

"The algae will help with the fever I assume Hope has, and I added a grape flavored calcium gummy to hopefully make it taste better." Blake explains. "I had help from some friends named Ren and Velvet." Weiss nods before turning to Hope.

"Let's get started then." Weiss says. After Hope had been given the medicinal juice Blake took a step to the side. Hope's began to cry as her head began to hurt even worse. Weiss was getting more and more concerned before noticing Hope reeling back preparing to sneeze the mother of all sneezes. Quickly Weiss and Blake ducked as Hope sneezed a large web of silk with part of it busting out the window covering the unsuspecting passing Ruby below.

"Why me!!!" Ruby cry's as Yang began howling in laughter. Weiss and Blake looked around the room to see the entirety of it covered in silk webs. Weiss and Blake sigh.

After cleaning the silk up and tossing the bundle into a corner to be dealt with later Blake left to catch the rest of her classes. Weiss however stayed tucking Hope in again who was now simply tired with a light headache. Weiss was beyond relieved that Hope would now be completely fine. So to put Hope to sleep Weiss began singing a lullaby.

Once Weiss had finished singing she could see that Hope had fallen asleep. Weiss smiles and gives Hope a kiss on the forehead before sitting down in a chair by the bed slowly falling asleep herself without realizing.

In a warehouse by some docks late at night Roman Torchwick sighs. In front of him was a map of Vale. On it marked the dust shops with some crossed out. This job was making Roman wonder if he had finally gotten in over his head. He then felt a hand on his shoulder. Looking over he could see his right hand. Neo.

She wore a white cropped wide, broad tailed jacket with a pink interior, collar, a single pink button and large pink cuffs. She also wears brown pants with a dark belt that has a gray buckle and an additional narrow belt under it. Under her jacket is a brown corset, curved in the middle and at the bottom, exposing her hips. She also wears a multitude of black beaded necklaces, which hang haphazardly around her neck. Neo also wears black and white spat styled under the knee boots alongside black gloves.

Her Heterochromic eyes were filled with worry for her boss. "I'm fine Neo." Roman assures unconvincingly. "I'm just wondering if I took the wrong bet." He sighs. "I suppose there's no turning back now." Neo nods understanding his dilemma before giving him a much needed hug.

The moment was ruined however as Roman and Neo heard clapping causing Neo to pull away. It was Cinder Fall. Their employer, and her little runts. "How touching." Cinder says sarcastically. "I..." Before she could continue the ground beneath them began shaking. "What was that!?"

"How should I know?!" Roman shouts back. Then the side of the warehouse is violently ripped off as two glowing red eyes stare down at them with a golden crown. "A Grimm?!"

"How'd it get past the kingdoms defenses?!" The runt with green hair asks.

"Who cares?! Run!" Roman shouts. Just as he begins to run with Neo on his heels the creature screeches while it emits purple electricity upon its horned crown before blasting the warehouse with purple Prism Beams from its eyes. Roman and Neo are flung to a corner as they are covered by rubble. With one more screech the beast, Battra takes off flying away as it disappears, turning completely invisible. Roman has been able to see its departure from his spot under the rubble.

"It left?" Roman asks. Dispite being trapped him and Neo were practically unharmed. Just then a glow of gold energy rose from where Cinder had been before flying away. Roman and Neo struggled but managed to push the rubble off of them enough to get out. As they walked over they could see a pile of ash with two green weapons and a strand of burning green hair, next to that was a second pile of ash with Cinders left hand next to it. Roman gagged at the sight. Sure he'd threatened people and even killed a few, but this was more than he'd ever seen before. An entire body vaporized within seconds.

Just then they heard shuffling and a pained groan. Looking over Roman saw the other runt alive albeit missing a hand but alive nonetheless. "What the hell was that thing?" Roman mutters looking over to Neo who shared a worried look. He sighs before looking to the living runt, Mercury if he remembered correctly. "Come on let's get him out of here. The police are likely on their way.

Back at Beacon the gold energy phases through several doors before stopping in the elevator and going strait down into a hidden vault. Inside the energy travels right into the comatose body of a young woman named Amber. She was inside a pod hooked up to machines which were keeping her alive. Suddenly the heart monitor next to the pod spikes as Ambers eyes shoot open.

The next day Weiss woke up to the sound of giggling. As her eyes fluttered open she caught a glimpse of Ruby and Hope finding the to be the ones giggling. With a yawn Weiss got up stretching.

"Morning mamma." Hope says innocently. Weiss smiles softly before noticing the look in her eyes. Is she laughing at me? Is there something on my face? Weiss wondered. Taking a look at Yang's failed attempts to keep her composure Weiss grew suspicious.

Walking into the bathroom and looking into the mirror Weiss got her answer. Cat whiskers had apparently been drawn on her face while she was asleep. She rolled her eyes failing to wipe a small smile from her lips. After scrubbing the marker off Weiss went back into the main room with crossed arms.

"Well you most certainly look like your feeling better." Weiss smiles looking to Hope who was giggling again.

"Love you mom!" She cheers causing the room to laugh lightly.

Weiss walked over and pulled Hope into a hug. "I Love you to."

Later the girls all get ready to leave for class after their morning routines but halt as the school's speaker activates. "All students, all classes have been cancelled for today. I repeat all classes have been cancelled for today. Thank you."

"Huh I wonder why?" Yang says frowning. "Well at least now we can decorate today." Yang shrugs.

"Yeah!" Ruby cheers. "Yang, Weiss, Blake, their fearless leader Ruby, and the adorable junior member Hope can finally begin their first mission. Banzi!!!"

"Banzi!!!" Yang Blake and Hope cheer while Weiss simply smiles with crossed arms.

Once they had finished the room the beds had been crafted into bunk beds with Yang's bed stacked over Blake's using books to make a larger gap, and Ruby's bed hanging from the ceiling over Weiss' using rope. In other words it looked like a massive safety hazard, but Weiss was out voted by four to one.

With that the girls left the room to get breakfast in the cafeteria. Once they took their seats Team JNPR sat across from them. "Hey guys." Jaune smiles.

"Hey Jaune." Ruby greets.

"Hey Weiss." Jaune greats remembering her from the forest. "Is Hope okay? We heard she was sick."

"Yup." Weiss giggles noticing Hope trying to dip a cooking in milk like Ruby only to fail due to the cookie being too big. "Blake came over with the solution, though she said Ren, and... Velvet I think, we're the ones to make the medicine."

The man Ren himself smiles. "I'm glad I could help."

"You mean that green goop actually helped?!?" Nora shouts in disbelief causing the table to laugh. Just then Pyrrha's scroll beeps from a notification.

"What's that?" Yang asks.

"The news." She says. "I like to keep up to date on things from time to time." Everyone shrugs accepting it. "Huh."

"What's wrong?" Jaune asks.

"Here let me read it to you. 'Late last night a warehouse on the waterfront was attacked. Vale Chief of Police states that there was no evidence as to what caused the attack or why. The only clues found were two piles of ash and a hand. The only known victim at the moment is a young woman named Cinder Fall.'" Pyrrha frowns. "Do you think this is why we have no classes today?"

"Obviously." Yang states.

"It dose seem likely." Blake agrees.

Just then Hopes eyes flicker red as her expression turns to fear. Pyrrha notices and realizes she had forgotten Hope was there. "Oh Hope I'm so sorry I shouldn't have read that out while you were here."

Weiss turns to see Hope's expression and frowns. "Sweetheart what's wrong? Did the news scare you?"

Hope simply hugs her mother shaking in fear. "He's was here." Weiss' eyes widened. No, already?! It's only been what? A week? Two? Weiss knew she had to speak with Ozpin. He'd know what to do.
