Penny sits on a couch across from her father and Jet. "So... Father?" She asks earning a hum. "Who is she exactly?" Penny asks gesturing to Jet who was still simply smiling away.
"She is your daughter Darling." Pietro says simply. "From what she explained to me she shares your coding, and had been created when you came in contact with a being possessing Cosmic Energy." He explains earning a look of thought from Penny.
"So," Penny ponders. "This means I'm a mother?" She asks innocently.
"Yes." Pietro answers. It was then that Penny's eyes widened with joy and excitement easily evident on her face.
Penny then jumps up in joy. "SENSATIONAL!" She exclaims. Jet mimics Penny's action and Pietro can't help but chuckle at the sight. Penny soon scoops Jut up into her arms causing the two to begin giggling as Jet snuggles into Penny's chest. "I promise Daughter Jet I will be the best Mother ever!" Penny declares holding the girl close. Penny knew two things in that moment. 1. She had been gifted the human honor of motherhood, and 2. She would show Jet all of the love this world could hold.
Jet smiles brightly as she closes her eyes simply enjoying the fact that her mother chose to truly accept her. A part of her had been worried she would be rejected by her mother, but those worries now seemed absurd.
In Atlas Academy Weiss walks with Hope to a door with the name Schnee on the side of it. After knocking the faint sound of "Come in!" Came from the other side. Once in Weiss immediately saw Winter in white leggings with ice blue accents, and a matching sports bra with her hair tied up into a bun. She was doing pull-ups on a pull-up bar near her bed on the left side of the room.
The room was similar to a standard Atlas Military Dorm though the room only contained one bed and held many personal items of Winters. On the right corner nearest to the window was a Suit of armor, the walls held paintings, and a white dresser that looked to have been recently gone through with a drawer half open and a t-shirt sticking out. What confused Weiss was a poster on the wall next to the Pull-up bar featuring a cutesy cartoon Grimm Cat with the words "You've Got This!" Printed on it in bold letters. After the there was a small kitchen with a fridge, a stove topped Oven, and a sink.
Winter finishes two mor reps before hoping down and grabbing a towel off her bed. "Hello sister." She says with heavy breathing. Winter clears her throat before continuing. "I see you got my message."
"Yes." Weiss replies with hesitation. "What is it you wanted to speak to me and Hope about?"
"Your classes." Winter states walking passed Weiss to get to the fridge. Opening it she continues. "Unlike Beacon the Instructors will not allow Hope to accompany you to class." She explains. Winter closes the fridge after retrieving a cold bottle of water.
"Oh." Weiss says dumbly.
"Oh indeed." Winter says with a smile. "I've already talked with General Ironwood about this and so I've been told that I can watch over her during your classes under the condition that I still work on paperwork and other jobs that can be accomplished here." She explains gesturing to her room.
"You'd do that for me?" Weiss asks in surprise.
"Of course I would!" Winter laughs. "I may be a an Atlas Specialist, but I'm also still your sister." She then turns to Hope with a small smile. "What do you think Hope?" She asks the young girl. "Do you wanna spend time with your Aunt Winter?"
"Yeah!" Hope shouts in excitement before running over and hugging Winter causing Weiss and Winter to giggle at the young girls actions.
"Weiss?" Winter asks giving her sister a questioning look.
"I don't have a problem with it." Weiss says much to Hope's, and Winters delight. Winter may not show it often, but she genuinely cares about her sister. To her this was an opportunity to help fill a hole that had come between the two. It was a way to get closer to her sister, and to get to know her niece.
"Well then." Winter says before drinking a bit of the water. "Let me get showered and dressed and perhaps we can go have dinner."
"That sounds wonderful." Weiss agrees with a smile earning a "Yay!" From Hope. With another laugh Winter heads over to her dresser to grab some clothes.
Soon the three exit the dorm with Winter wearing a white blouse with blue accents along the sleeves, and a matching blue skirt that went passed her knees. After a short walk to the bullhead docks and a scroll message to Weiss' team the trio take a flight to the city. Along the way the sisters had taken up a discussion on what Weiss can expect from her new classes which much to Weiss's relief wouldn't be much different from her classes back at Beacon.
Elsewhere Roman Torchwick, Neopolitan, and Mercury Black sit within a bullhead approaching Atlas. "Quite the site isn't it?" Roman states.
"It's all right." Mercury agrees. Neo mimes gagging causing Roman to laugh.
"Yeah," Roman agrees looking to Neo. "Too much security." Neo nods with a satisfied look before looking out with concern. She then sighs. Neo couldn't help but have a bad feeling that this job could vary well lead them to their deaths. The thought itself terrified her, and her face did nothing to hide her worries. "Hey." Roman says earning her attention. "This is the last job alright? Then we're in the clear." Neo nods before hugging Roman lightly. Roman himself found himself leaning into the hug. Roman was most certainly not a hugger, but Neo was an exception. This time though he was far more worried than he would admit, and Neo's hug was much more welcome than ever.
Winter, Weiss, and Hope enter a rather nice restaurant on Atlas called The Slumbering Apple. After getting seated their waiter set off to get them drinks which for the three were two waters and a lemonade.
"So," Weiss starts. "What's going to happen with Mei and Sayó?" Weiss asks.
Winter shrugs. "Well they've agreed to help Ozpin, but you are still their priority." Winter explains. "If you ever have questions, or simply want to talk to them all you have to do summon them."
Weiss frowns. "Summon them?"
"Yes." Winter says with a frown of her own. "Didn't you know? You can summon them to you with your glyphs."
"I can?" Weiss exclaims in surprise.
"They are bonded to Hope here, and by extension YOU." Winter explains. "All you have to do is use your normal summoning glyphs." Winter then gave Weiss a smile. "And you can't deny that you can anymore. I saw the footage, and that knight of yours is rather impressive." Winter compliments.
"Thanks." Weiss says appreciatively. She then sighs. "Everything is just getting too complicated anymore. I wish things could be simpler."
Winter chuckles. "Grimm queens, giant monsters, and on top of it all you have to be a mother." Winter then looks to Hope who had been simply sitting there smiling while the sisters talked. Winter's face softens. "I'm sorry Hope. We've left you out of the conversation."
"It's okay Auntie." Hope says cheerfully.
Later that day Team RWBY and Team CFVY found themselves sharing Combat Class, or what Atlas Dubbed The Huntsman Sparring Curriculum(Also referred to as The HSC by Atlas students) together. The Training Room from which the class took place was a giant empty square room with a light blue grid of Hard-Light Dust on the floor. There were no desks and all students gathered around as a man with short brown hair and teal-green eyes. He wore a sleeveless Atlesian Specialist uniform that consisted of a white sleeveless double breasted coat with red and blue accents with ornate detailing shaped to the form of wishbones.
"Greetings to all of you." The instructor says kindly. "I am Ace Operative Clover Ebi, and I'll be your Instructor during your time here in Atlas for the Vytal Festival." He explains. "Due to the short notice on large numbers of students coming to Atlas for the Vytal Festival I along with other members of The Ace Ops have been chosen to act as temporary instructors during your time here."
Everyone had mixed feelings about this though no one said anything about it. Most accepted it knowing it would be temporary. Weiss however was slightly worried about other things. She had left Hope with her sister Winter as Winter had suggested though Weiss was hesitant about it. It wasn't that she didn't trust Winter she just didn't want Winter to fill Hopes head with Atlas propaganda and whatnot.
"Now!" Instructor Clover starts. "This Training Room you'll all be utilizing is vastly different from what your use to so we'll begin with something simple."
Turns out something simple included Team RWBY sparring with a team from Vacuo named Team SQPN(Scorpion) and getting completely destroyed much to Coco's pleasure as she had begun laughing about it nearly instantly.
Within Winters Dorm, Winter and Hope laugh as they watch a movie. The film was a comedy about a robot named Tommy 5. Currently the robot Tommy was taunting a group of other robots. "Hey you!" Tommy shouts gaining the attention of one of the robots. "Your mother was a snowblower!"
Winter and Hope laughed again. Winter held a wide smile for most of the film as did Hope. 'I just knew she'd love this movie.' Winter thought.
Later Team RWBY rest within their Dorm. With Classes over the team could finally relax. Though Weiss eagerly waited for Winter to drop off Hope. Blake was simply reading a book with a blank cover with a wide smile and a faint blush while Yang was playing video games. Ruby however was on her Scroll reading articles on the CCT network.
"WEISS!" Ruby yells instantly appearing in front of the girl in question leaving rose petals in her wake.
"Ruby?" Weiss questions. "What is it? Why are you so excited?"
"Look!" Ruby shoves her Scroll into Weiss face and the young lady grimaced before taking the scroll into her hand and began reading from it.
"In the wake of the civil trial between Jacques and Willow Schnee, Ms. Honorable Judge Church rendered a decision this afternoon." The article read. "As of this afternoon it is official that Jacques Schnee will be paid a substantial payment, but Willow Schnee will be the sole owner of The Schnee Dust Company for the foreseeable future."
Weiss' eyes widened with pure joy and excitement. "Blake!" She calls startling the girl.
"Ummm... uh yes?" Blake stammers quickly shutting her book.
"Put down your smut book and get over here you've gotta see this!" Weiss shouts.
"It's not smut!" Blake denies.
Yang laughs. "And I'm not blond." Yang teases earning a glare from Blake.
Despite her flushed face of embarrassment Blake walks over to see what Weiss wanted to show her. It took Blake a few seconds to read it but her eyes widened and she snatched the scroll out of Weiss' hands to reread it earning a 'hey' from the single mother.
"YES!!!" Blake shouts in glee. "Now that he's gone the SDC can give better working conditions for the workers in their mines!"
"And," Weiss says with a smile. "Equal wages for Faunus."
Blake then pulls Weiss in for a hug as she begins giggling madly. "This is amazing!" She says. "Now proper steps for Faunus Equality can be made without a need for Violence!!!"
Yang laughs at the Faunus girls reaction. "Geez Blake I don't think I've ever see you so happy." Yang states jokingly. Blake once again flushes from embarrassment.
"Sorry." Blake apologizes.
