Author note: I won't be posting a Chapter tomorrow.
"Ah, Mr. Silph. Glad to see that you could make it." The boss of Team Rocket greets the president of Silph Co. as he gestures for him to sit down. "Would you like to have a cup of tea?"
"Cut to the chase, Giovanni. What do you want?" Mr. Silph is pretty much on edge in this situation.
"Um... no offense but, why am I here?" I quietly whisper to Proton next to my right.
"Not sure, probably for security reasons." Proton whispers back.
"That doesn't make sense. Why do you need me when you already have 4 loyal executives who follow your every word." Eyeing the other side of the room, I can spot Archer and Ariana standing right next to the boss.
"Not... inaccurate." Petrel quietly responds from my left. "But I think he has other plans for you."
"What plan?" I inquire.
Suddenly, a lone Rocket grunt rushes into the room, huffing and puffing on his breath. "B-Boss! It's an emergency!"
"Explain yourself!" Archer demands.
"It's- It's him! The trainer in Red cap!" The moment that "Red" is mentioned, everyone in the room immediately goes rigid as the memories of their last encounter resurface.
"W- Well what the hell are you doing?!" Finally snapping out of his trance, Archer gives his order. "Go get that trainer!"
"Y- Yes! Sir!" Saluting, the Rocket grunt then leaves the room, giving us some time to think about our next course of action.
"So... Red is here." I decide to break the silence. "If what that grunt said is true, then we're in quite a difficult position." Taking out my pokeballs, I release Nidoking and Cubone. "I want everyone here that has battled Red before to take out their pokemons."
"Why? You got a plan?" Proton asks, unsure of what I'm about to do.
"...Sort of." I begin to explain my reason. "There is no doubt that Red will definitely clean up the entire building, leaving the executives as our last line of defense."
"Still... what does this has anything to do with us?" Archer asks, crossing his arm as he listens.
"I'm getting there." I continue. "Between all of you, I have the most experience in battling with Red, meaning that I have the highest chance of success when it comes to defeating him." Snapping my finger, I signaled Nidoking and Cubone to come closer. "But as you can see, I only have 2 pokemon, which is why I'm going to need all of your help."
"So you want us to give you our pokemon?" Ariana finally speaks up, eyeing me suspiciously.
"No." I shake my head. "Your pokemon won't listen to me anyway. Instead, I want you all to try and exhaust his pokemons for me."
"I beg your pardon?" Ariana asks. "No offense, but why exactly should we do that? For all we know, you could've been tricking us into weakening ourselves."
"You're right. I could do that. But you forget one thing." I raise my index finger. "Red is an exceptional trainer. He won't stop until we're down for good. So even if I did trick you all, your fate is sealed either way." Proton stares at me in surprise, not expecting me to respond in such a bold manner, especially in the presence of the boss. "Now." I clasp my hand. "What is it going to be?"
"...alright. We'll go along with your plan." Archer approves of my idea, getting a nod out from everyone. Well... almost everyone.
"Hold on!" Ariana objects. "You can't be serious, Archer! You really believe that some trainer in Red cap is going to tear down the entire operation?!"
"I don't believe it, Ariana." Archer replies back, "I know it." before he looks right at her. "Do I have to remind you what my mission entails?"
Ariana looks like she tries to retort back but couldn't muster a single word. Eventually, she gives up. "Fine. So what's the plan?" Ariana turns her attention to me.
"Petrel," I call out his name. "Does your Weezing know Toxic?"
"It is like you said. That trainer in Red cap has a counter to our Poison Type Pokemon." Proton relays the information through the phone. "At least we now know it's Snorlax."
A Snorlax huh? If I recall correctly, that pokemon is famous for its incredible bulk. "Thanks for the info, over."
"Over?" Proton snickers. "Where did you get that from?"
"Um... the Pokenet?" Proton is now burst out laughing, making me have to hold my Porygon phone far away from my ears.
"Oh! Oh, man! Hey Pret! Check this out!" Yep. I'm just going to hang up on them. *CLICK*
*Sigh* Holding the bridge of my nose, I close my eyes in order to calm myself down.
"Nidoking." Nidoking places his claw on my shoulder, reassuring me that everything is going to be alright.
"Yeah yeah, I know. I'm just stressed." Honestly, who wouldn't when the fate of Team Rocket is placed on you.
"Cu!" Cubone swings his bone club aggressively, showing off his moves.
"Alright, I get it!" Raising my voice, I catch the attention of Cubone. "Thanks anyway."
"Cu!"
"Nido!"
Taking out my pokeballs, I recall both pokemons back inside. "If my estimated time is correct, then Red should be here right about... now."
Suddenly, a trainer in Red cap steps through the teleport pad, making his presence known to me.
Welp. Time to get into character.
"So... we finally meet again, Red. How have you been?" I step forward.
"..."
"Heh, not as friendly as before? Go figure." Shaking my head, I continue. "But enough talk! I know why you're here." Grabbing onto my first pokeball, I yell out. "Let's get down to business! Go! Nidoking!"
"NIDOKING!" Nidoking roars out his battle cry, making a dramatic entrance.
"...!" Just as I expect, Red always leads with his Charizard.
"CHARIZARD!"
The real battle has finally commenced!
Nidoking and Charizard both stare down at each other, waiting for the order from their respective trainer until eventually, Red makes his first moves.
"...!"
Charizard begins to charge up flame in his maw, preparing for the attack.
"Nidoking! Watch out!" Hearing my order, Nidoking sides step away just as Charizard fires out Flamethrower, evading the attack.
"Now retaliate with your own Flamethrower!"
As per my order, Nioking charges up flame in his maw, then fires Flamethrower toward Charizard. The attack, however, was not very effective.
"...!" Changing strategy, Red orders his Charizard to Fly up, preparing to attack in the air.
"What is Charizard doing?" I thought to myself. Nidoking seems to be wondering the same thing.
Eventually, Charizard dives down to attack Nidoking with Fly. Little did he know, Nidoking was waiting for his chance to get closer to Charizard in the first place.
"There's our chance! Nidoking! Use Thunderbolt!" Quickly, Nidoking shrouds himself in a yellow spark of electricity before he fires it toward a flame lizard pokemon. It was super effective! Charizard then flops down onto the ground with a loud *THUD*.
After a few seconds, Charizard is still not moving, confirming that it has fainted.
"..." Still remaining calm, Red returns Charizard to his pokeball before he sends out his next pokemon. "...!"
"Snor...Lax..." A gluttony pokemon yawns out, rubbing its eyes before focusing on Nidoking.
"...!" Ordering his pokemon, Red commands Snorlax to charge toward Nidoking with Body Slam.
Unfortunately for Red, the speed difference between Nidoking and Snorlax is far too great, so Nidoking can just easily dodge Snorlax's attack with ease and counter back with Flamethrower.
Fortunate enough for him, Snorlax barely even flinches from Nidoking's attack, allowing the fat pokemon to keep on with his assault.
Both pokemon would then continue to attack with the same similar pattern over and over again. Eventually, bruises start to form on Snorlax's body.
Just as it looks like the table has turned onto my side, Red gives his order to Snorlax, making the bulky pokemon fall asleep.
But of course, Snorlax would know rest. This is actually not good since Nidoking is starting to wear himself out. At this rate, Snorlax would outmatch Nidoking in terms of Stamina... unless.
"Nidoking! Use Earthquake!" Red has his eyes widen the moment he heard the name of the attack, making Nidoking let out an evil grin before he raises both of his arms and proceeds to slam them against the ground, making the whole building violently shake. "Shit!" No wonder why Archer warns to be careful with using it.
Remaining his eyes shut, Snorlax takes a full-force attack from Earthquake, making him abruptly wake up from the pain. "Snorlax!" Snorlax yelps out in pain.
Not wanting to let Snorlax a chance for recovery, Nidoking immediately goes for another Earthquake.
"Wait! Nidoking! Stop!" I try to order Nidoking but it was already too late, Nidoking used his arms to slam the ground beneath him, causing it to collapse, making Nidoking and Snorlax fall through it. The result of the aftermath is a series of holes from the 11th floor, all the way to the ground floor. Looking through it, I can spot both pokemon laying on their back. "Nidoking! Are you ok?!"
"Nido... King..." Nidoking gives me a thumbs up before he fainted alongside Snorlax.
"...Well, that happened," I inform Red as he looks as equally shocked as I am.
*BEEP BEEP* Suddenly, My Porygon phone rings out. "Um, hold on. I need to pick this." I gesture for Red to wait a bit." *CLICK* "Hello?"
"GADE! WHAT THE FUCK! ONE MOMENT AGO, THE WHOLE BUILDING WAS SHAKING! AND THE NEXT I KNOW, THERE'S A HOLE IN THE FLOOR!" Proton is absolutely livid. His voice is so loud that it almost breaks my ear. "YOU COULD'VE KILLED US ALL!" Nevermind. Livid is an understatement.
"...sorry?" I respond quietly.
"SORRY!?" Seems like that's only provoked him even further. "DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY STAGES OF GRIEF I'VE GONE THROUGH?! FIVE! THERE ARE ONLY FOUR STAGES OF GRIEF AND YOU MADE ME GO THROUGH FIVE! DO YOU REALIZE-" *CLICK* ...yep. I'm not dealing with that.
"...GADE! DID YOU SERIOUSLY JUST FUCKING HANG UP ON ME?!" Oh yeah. I forgot about the hole. Proton can still yell at me through it. "WE'RE NOT DONE, YOU HEAR ME?!"
Ignoring Proton, I turn my attention toward Red. "...tie?"
Red stares at me for a moment before he reluctantly nods. Yeah, I wouldn't continue battling like this either.
In the end, it was thanks to my stunt that brings our operation to success. Who would've thought that all it takes for Mr. Sliph to give in is a tremor that scares him so much he's actually pissed his pant. However, not everyone is happy with the outcome.
"LET ME GO, PETREL! I'M GOING TO FUCKING MURDER THAT BASTARD!" Yeah. Proton is still mad at me.
"Relax Proton. At least no one die and things all work out in the end, right?" Petrel tries to calm Proton down. "Besides, the boss actually congratulates him for all of that." Proton stares at Petrel, giving him a look of, "Are you serious?!"
"...Whatever! Call me if I'm needed. I'm gonna go get some drink." Slamming the door, Proton then leaves the room.
"...Well, again. Congratulation, Gade. You did great." I'm not sure about the last part but I'll take it. "The boss actually give me permission to reward you. So!" Petrels clasp his hand. "Anything you want?"
"...anything?"
"Not... anything. Almost." Oh damn.
Hmm... actually. There's one thing that I wanted.
"...Do you happen to have this thing called... Life Orb?"
