Cerulean Cave, also known as the "Unknown Dungeon", is a large underground complex of maze-like tunnels which extend out from Cerulean City to the mountains beyond. With the dark entrance positioned on the outskirts of Cerulean City, the cave has been renowned for its mystery. It is also a home to many varieties of extremely violent pokemon, which is why the Indigo League Official prohibited anyone from ever venturing into the cavern.

"Alright everyone, let's go over the plan one more time," I whisper to Jim and Blue while hiding behind the bushes. "Jim, you got enough Repels to last for our 2-way trips, right?"

"All the way to the boot!" Jim salutes at me.

"Good." I then turn my attention toward the older one. "Blue?"

"50 Ultraballs, as you requested." Blue opens up his bag, showing the numbers of Capture balls inside. "After all, me being the grandson of the world's first champion, I'm bound to have some privilege." Blue boasts himself.

"Yeah yeah." I roll my eyes. "Anyway, let's do this."

Revealing ourselves from our hiding spot, the person who's guarding the cave eventually takes notice as we're steadily approaching him. "Excuse me, you can't- ...Wait a minute, I know you-"

*CLICK* The sound of a gun cocking makes the person go quiet as the barrel of the mini-rocket launcher is pointing right at him.

"If you know me, then you should know what can this thing do," I inform him. "Do as I instruct, turn around, and put your hands behind your head."

The person quickly complies as he raises both of his hands up, turn around, and put both hands behind his head. Immediately, I move closer to the person and swiftly land a fast chop on his nape, knocking him out instantly. "Heavily guarded my ass. It's just one guy." I then put the gun back in my holster. "Now that's out of the way, time to see what's inside."

Upon taking our first step into the cavern, we are met with a large margin body of water, acting as a kind of barricade that prevents us from going deeper. "Looks like have to Surf after all." Taking out his pokeball, Blue releases his blue shellfish pokemon. "Go! Blastoise!"

Once Blastoise's feet touch the ground, Blue orders his pokemon to use Surf, making the hydro pokemon act as a raft for us to ride on.

"Alright Jim, remember what we talked about. Only use Repel when the wild pokemon are near us. Don't spray straight at their faces. We're trying to repel them, not aggravate them." I remind him. "Again, I cannot stress enough how important this is."

"Come on, Gade! Have a little faith in me, will ya?" Jim puffs his cheek, making him look like a Skwovet.

After the 3 of us grab onto the back of Blastoise's shell, we continue our journey deeper into the tunnel. While making our way inside, the interior of the cavern seems to get darker and darker, so Jim decides to send out his Alakazam and order it to use Flash, lighting up the path for us to go on. Soon enough, we reach the end of the water and make contact with land. Blue then recalls his Blastoise back into his pokeball and we move forward, just for us to find a ladder that descends its way deeper into the dungeon.

Slowing descend our way down, we reach the 2nd floor. Unlike the 1st floor where most of the area is covered with water, the 2nd floor is just a series of rocks and boulders that scatter around, forming themselves into a natural maze. "Well, I'll be damn. This place is a labyrinth ." Scanning my surrounding, I notice how some of the rock looks a bit cracked. "Blue," I call out his name, grabbing Blue's attention and pointing my finger at the rock. "Think your pokemon could smash that?"

"Only one way to find out." Taking out his second pokeball, Blue releases his drill pokemon "Go! Rhydon!"

As soon as Rhydon steps out of the pokeball, Blue gives out his order to the rhino pokemon. "Rhydon! Use Horn Drill!"

Rhydon starts by spinning his horn at a fast rotation speed, then immediately charges toward the rock. Instantly, the rock is shattered, allowing us to walk through the newly made path. "Thanks, Rhydon." Blue expresses his gratitude toward the pokemon as he recalls it back to the pokeball. Even so, we still have to navigate our way through these rocky paths.

Eventually, we stumble upon another ladder, descending its way further into the dungeon. "Argh! This again? It's like someone is trying to hide something!" Jim loudly complains.

"Which means that we're getting close," I comment, still remaining vigilance of the situation. "Come on! Let's move!"

As we reach the basement floor, once again, we are met with another body of water. So as usual, Blue sends out his Blastoise for us to ride on and we're traverse through the water. Eventually, we notice something from a distance that looks like a platform. But what really catches our attention is something that's standing in the middle of it.

That something is the figure that has a body of a grey humanoid pokemon with some feline features and a purple tail. On top of its head are two short horns that look like an ear from far away. There's also this tube that extends from the back of its head, all the way to the top of its spine, completely bypassing its neck. Not to mention the defined chest and shoulders that it has, resembling a kind of breastplate that medieval knights used to wear. And lastly, the hand of this figure each has three spherical tips on them.

"So... that's Mewtwo." Jim expresses his amazement as he stares at the genetic pokemon, admiring the appearance. "Do you think it realizes that we're here?"

As soon as Jim finished his question, instantly, Mewtwo's eyes snap open as the pokemon gazed right into our souls and releases its Pressure. "I guess that question answers itself for us."

"You dare enter my domain?!" Suddenly, a mysterious voice enters my head as I look around to see that Blue and Jim also have a similar reaction to me. "Very well! Show me your power!"

"This is it, everyone! Go! Nidoking!"

"On your position, Blastoise!"

"Let's do this, Alakazam!"

"NIDOKING/BLASTOISE/ALAKAZAM!"

The trio of the pokemon is sent out onto the battlefield. Right now, they are standing in front of the overwhelming force, ready to fight against the mightiest foe they will ever face in their entire life.

"Alakazam! Use Shadow Ball!"

"Blastoise! Use Hydro Pump!"

"Nidoking! Use Thunderbolt!"

All 3 of us yell out our orders together, making their attacks combine into 1 singular powerful beam as it quickly approaches Mewtwo.

However, the powerful pokemon did not dodge the attack. Instead, it takes the attack heads on as the impact results in dust gathering around. As soon as the cloud of powder dissipates, Mewtwo reveals itself to be completely unscathed. "Impossible!" Blue exclaims. "There's not even a single scratch on Mewtwo! Just what the hell is that pokemon!?"

"Pathetic." Mewtwo telepathically scoffs at us. "Now it's my turn!"

Raising its right palm forward, Mewtwo creates a pink swirling orb that starts to grow larger with each passing second until eventually, the ball is shot toward us. "Psystrike!"

"Watch out!" Jumping out of the way, the attack collides with a nearby rock and explodes, leaving a big crater as a result. "What the fuck! How are we supposed to beat this thing?!"

"At this rate, we'll be the one that gets the beating instead." Blue makes a remark. "But we can't give up now! Not when we're this far!" Getting up on his feet, Blue orders his pokemon to attack Mewtwo. "Blastoise! Use Hydro Pump!"

Once again, Blastoise aims both of his cannons and fires a jet of water toward Mewtwo. Just like last time, Mewtwo stands there and takes the attack heads on. "Insolent fools!" Mewtwo then puts both of his palms together, creating a blue swirling orb that is quickly shot toward Blastoise. "Aura Sphere!"

Both Blue and Blastoise's eyes widen as they see the attack quickly approaching. "Blastoise! Use Withdraw! Now!"

But it was already too late. Blastoise gets hit with an extremely powerful Aura Sphere, so powerful that it pushes the tortoise pokemon back, knocking him off the platform and landing into the water. "BLASTOISE!" Blue yells out. "ARE YOU OK?!"

After a few second of no response, Blue takes out his pokeball and recall the pokemon back. "You did well, buddy. Just take a rest." Blue stares at his pokeball sadly.

"Not wanting to interrupt you or anything, but we still got a battle going!" I quickly remind Blue of the situation as Mewtwo's power is gradually overwhelming us. "Could really use some help right now!" I cry out. "Nidoking! Use Thunderbolt!"

"Sorry!" Taking out his third pokeball, Blue releases his bird pokemon "Go! Pidgeot!"

"PIDGEOT!" Pidgeot spreads its wings and releases its battle cries, showing us that it's ready to fight.

"Pidgeot! Use Brave Bird!" As per his order, Pidgeot flies itself up to the sky and dives toward the opposing Mewtwo while it's still focusing on Nidoking, hoping to catch Mewtwo off guard.

Mewtwo, however, notices this and shifts its attention toward the bird pokemon. As soon as Pidgeot is in its arm range, Mewtwo quickly grabs a hold of Pidgeot's beak and pushes the bird pokemon toward Nidoking, using Pidgeot as a shield from Nidoking's Thunderbolt before throwing both pokemon toward the nearby boulder, knocking them out instantly. "A bravery attempt, but a foolish one indeed."

After witnessing the destruction of Mewtwo's performance, both Blue and I are in a mixed state of shock and horror, completely stunned and unable to do anything. "T- This is fuck up. We need to get out of here right now!" Blue manages to get a grip back together and muster his words out. "Tell Jim that we're retreating!"

"H- How?!" I shakingly reply. "You think Mewtwo is going to let us go?! The only way to get out of here is to beat that thing!"

"Did you not see what it did to our pokemon!? How exactly are we going to beat that thing!?" Blue raises his voice. "Do you even have a plan to get out of this situation?!"

"...sort of," I respond with a cold sweat. Blue looks at me in surprise as he notices what my hand is gripping onto.

"No... you can't be serious- You're going to get yourself killed!" Blue dismisses the idea, completely unapproved of it.

"We're dead either way if I'm not doing this!" I argue. "Besides, if this work, then it could potentially turn the table for us."

Blue stares at me in shock as if I was spitting out nonsense. But soon enough, he succumbs and decides to go along with my plan. "Alright, but you better not miss it." Taking out his last pokeball, Blue releases his drill pokemon "Go! Rhydon!" Rhydon steps out onto the battlefield as Blue quickly orders his pokemon to attack Mewtwo.

Meanwhile, I slowly sneak up behind the genetic pokemon without being seen and aim my gun at it. "Come on... just stay still." I complain under my breath, waiting for the opportunity to rise itself.

For some reason, Jim decides to change his strategy and order his Alakazam to hold Mewtwo still with Psychic. I assume it was so that Rhydon can use Horn Drill on Mewtwo, a move that can defeat a pokemon in one shot. Regardless, Alakazam's Psychic did restrict a few movements of Mewtwo for a bit, which may not be enough for Rhydon, but it is enough for me.

*BANG*

The mini-rocket launch itself off the barrel of the gun, traveling through the air as it's quickly approaching and hits the target.

"ARGH! WHO DARE!?" Mewtwo cries out in pain as it uses its hand to stop the bleeding from its right eye, leaving the left eye to search for the attacker.

"What's wrong, Mewtwo?! Got some dirt in your eye?!" I mock Mewtwo with a snarky tone, making the pokemon quickly focus its attention on me.

Suddenly, my body is lifted up into the air by a mysterious force, forcing my head to look straight right at Mewtwo's raging expression. "I can snap your neck right now and there won't be anything you can do about it." The voice in my head filled with hostility, laced with the pure intention of malice.

Instead of getting scared, however, I stand my ground and taunt back. "Maybe, but that won't stop Rhydon from using Horn Drill, will it?"

Mewtwo's eye widen as it realizes its mistake. Immediately, Mewtwo drops me and shifts its attention toward the enemy but it was already too late. "Now's your chance! Rhydon! Use Horn Drill!"

With the power of Alakazam's Psychic and the damage that it has suffered from the gunshot in its right eyes, Mewtwo is forced to hold its ground by stopping Rhydon with both of its hands. "This- ...This- Is nothing!"

"Then why are you having so much difficulty using your power, huh?!" I ask the psychic pokemon. "You may be powerful, but you're not so much of a physical fighter!" I continue taunting. "That eye of your is where you focus all your power, isn't it?! So if I remove one of them, I will also remove half of your power!"

"This... doesn't change anything!" Mewtwo roars out its battle cries, ditching its last effort to fight back against Rhydon as it slowly overwhelms the telepathic pokemon.

"Maybe, but this will!" I point my gun and aim it at the strongest pokemon for the last time. "It's time to end this, Mewtwo! Take this!" Pulling the trigger, the mini-rocket fires off and hit Mewtwo straight on, leaving the opening for Rhydon to put the nail in the Cofagrigus.

Finally, Mewtwo gets its chest rammed by a spinning drill, causing the pokemon to spit out blood before getting pushed back and falling onto its knee. "Recover... I need to use- ...Recover-!"

"Not so fast! Go! Ultraball!" Blue shouts and throws the capture ball toward Mewtwo as its eye widen, before getting sucked into the device. After a few second of silence, the ultraball finally make a *CLICK* sound, confirming its successful capture.

"Is- Is it over?" Jim asks in astonishment, still in disbelief of the situation. After seeing both Blue and I nod, Jim realizes that he wasn't dreaming and lets out a small laugh before celebrating our victory. "WE DID IT! WE FINALLY DID IT!"

But the time of celebration has come to a short as we heard a slow clap from over the distance. I quickly turn my head to notice 5 different figures approaching us. "Congratulations, Gade... I knew you could do it."

Both Jim and I have our eyes widen at the familiarity of the voice while Blue seems to recognize the figure. "Y- You're-" Blue is visibly shaken, as well as Jim. Meanwhile, a gear in my head starts to turn as puzzle pieces slowly place themselves together, revealing the answer to my question.

"So... you planned all of this from the beginning." The figure in the middle let out a small, tiny sinister smile as his 4 subordinates follow behind.

"Giovanni."
