"You've done your part. Now," The boss of Team Rocket snaps his finger as the 4 executives behind him take out the pokeball and release their pokemon. "Do not resist."
"W- What do we do, Gade? Are we really going to hand him Mewtwo?" Jim desperately asks me, pleading for an answer with his eyes.
"...I'm sorry, Jim." Taking out my handgun, I point it straight at Blue. "The boss gave his order, so we should follow it."
"What the hell?!" Blue exclaims. "You're just going to turn on me, just like that?!"
"Do not misunderstand me, Blue Oak." I coldly reply. "We simply share the same interest, so our alliance was only temporary. But now," *CLICK* "Your usefulness has run out."
"G- Gade?" Jim is now visibly shaking, terrified of the inhumane behavior I express. "T- This isn't like you! You're not this cruel!"
"Maybe you just don't know me enough." I glare at the youngster, "You better send out your Alakazam before things get ugly. We don't want another incident similar to the Nugget Bridge, do we?" After finishing my sentence, I wink at him.
Seeing the sign that I gave, Jim eventually gets the message across and sends out his Alakazam. Meanwhile, Blue is still mad about our sudden turn of hostility. "Do not worry, Blue Oak. Jim will make sure that Mewtwo is going to be in a right hand."
As soon as the sentence end, I quickly redirect the barrel toward Giovanni before firing it off, making the executives yelp in surprise. "Quick, Jim! Get Alakazam and Teleport Blue out of here!"
"What about you, Gade!? Aren't you coming?!" Jim asks before taking out his Alakazam.
"I'll buy you guys sometime. Now hurry up before it's too late!" I fire off another shot to keep them distracted.
"But-"
"I SAID GET OUT OF HERE! THAT'S AN ORDER!" After I finally snap at him, Jim reluctantly commands his Alakazam to Teleport away, leaving me alone with Giovanni and his 4 executives.
"So... in the end." Giovanni begins. "You choose to betray us at the last minute, how idiotic of you."
"Well, what can I say. Proton likes to call me that all the time. Isn't that right, Prot?" I direct the question toward Proton, to which he responds with a silent gaze. "Alright fine, I guess we're doing this."
"Then I hope you truly prepare yourself." Giovanni grips onto his pokeball, making the 4 executives back away from the Rocket boss. "Because you're in for a world of pain!" Throwing his pokeball forward, Giovanni sends out his first pokemon. "Go! Rhydon!"
"Rhydon!"
"This is it!" Grabbing onto the pokeball on my belt, I send out my last pokemon. "Go! Cubone!"
"Cubone!"
As soon as Cubone steps out of the pokeball, he scans the area for the enemy., just for him to spot an over looming shadow of a 6 feet tall Rhydon that's staring down at him. "...Cu...bone...?" Cubone is completely frozen solid.
"Cubone! Snap out of it!" I yell at Cubone but it has no effect. Rhydon then begins its assault by charging toward the bone pokemon. "Watch out!"
Finally recovered from the shock, Cubone manages to dodge away just in a nick of time. However, that doesn't stop Rhydon from chasing down the tiny pokemon as Cubone desperately runs away from the assailant. "Cubone! You have to fight back!"
"CUBONE! CUBONE! CUBONE!" Cubone is now screaming for his dear life, tears streaming down from both eyes as Rhydon is slowly getting closer to his tail. "CUBONE!" He shouts with extreme fright.
To add more insult to injury, Cubone just has to trip! "Cu- Cubone..." Not only that, but he is also pissing his pant if he has one that is! The situation is so humiliating that even Rhydon starts laughing at Cubone's misfortune. "C- Cu..." Cubone is now crying. This situation seriously couldn't get any worse.
"Alright. Let's end this, shall we?" Giovanni orders his Rhydon to finish off Cubone as the pokemon just watches the drilling beast approaching him.
"Tch. Is this really how the battle's going to end?!" I ask myself. But knowing that there's nothing I can do, I look away in shame. "Sorry about this, Cubone."
Just as Rhydon is about to attack the crying pokemon, his bone club starts to glow out of nowhere and block the incoming strike from Rhydon. "Rhydon?" Rhydon looks confused, as well as Cubone and I.
"Cu... bone...?" The bone pokemon slowly pushes Rhydon away, making the drill pokemon stumble back for a bit. Suddenly, a familiar cry can be heard from his bone club, a cry that's similar to those of Marowak.
"Wait- ...that's right!" As If the puzzle pieces come together, I manage to figure out what's going on. "It's your mother, Cubone! Marowak had possessed your bone club. She is now protecting you from Rhydon!" Cubone looks at me in surprise, then look back at the glowing bone club that he's now holding. "It's your chance to fight back Cubone. Let's do this!"
"Cu- Cubone!" Starting to feel a bit more confident, Cubone gets onto his battle position. "Cu!"
"That's... is an unexpected turn of events. Nonetheless, it will not change anything." Giovanni comments. "Rhydon! Use Horn Drill!"
"Rhydon!" Rhydon starts by spinning its horn really fast before charging forward.
"Cubone! Runaway for now!" As soon as Cubone evades the attack, the pokemon starts running away pers my order.
Seeing Cubone fleeing, Rhydon begins chasing the tiny pokemon as the drilling beast constantly tries to land the attack on him. Soon enough, I can see the annoyance in Rhydon's eyes grow as his movement starts to get more and more desperate, charging toward Cubone without a care, leaving itself open for Cubone to attack. "Now's your chance, Cubone! Trip him!"
Hearing my order, Cubone quickly slides down and hit one of Rhydon's legs, making the large pokemon slip and fall, causing its horn to stuck on to the ground.
"Don't let it recover! Attack its weakness with Bone Club!" Immediately, Cubone raises his club and gives the hardest hit onto Rhydon's crotch. Yup. You heard me right. Cubone just hits Rhydon's sacks. "RHAAHHHHHHH!" And that scream right there is Rhydon's agony.
After the stunt that Cubone just pulls, Proton just couldn't help it and burst out laughing, getting him a glare from both Archer and Ariana. Meanwhile, Petrel tries to look indifferent about the situation. As for Giovanni, he has this priceless look on his face that I've never seen before. It's a shame that I don't have the time to take the picture of his expression.
Soon enough, Rhydon manages to get its horn out and push back onto both feet. Needless to say, the drill pokemon is now fuming, extremely enraged by the humiliation. Forget about winning the battle because right now, Rhydon is out for Cubone's blood. "Cu. Cu. Bone." And that little shit even has the audacity to taunt it.
With the final straw snap, Rhydon roars out the loudest battle cries, so loud that my ears start ringing. It immediately charges straight toward Cubone as he just stands there, having a boring look on his face, which aggravated the pokemon even further.
The moment that Rhydon gets close to him, Cubone takes his chance to slide away as Rhydon slams its right fist toward the bone pokemon. Cubone then fires off an Ember attack that lands on you know where. And if that wasn't enough, Rhydon gets a Burn status, a condition that halves the pokemon attack, as well as gradually damaging it over time.
With the table finally turning for us, Giovanni recalls back his Rhydon before it could throw any tantrums further. "This... is indeed truly unexpected." Giovanni is completely dumbfounded, no word can describe the amount of emotion he feels right now. "Regardless, we have the battle to continue." Taking out the next pokeball, Giovanni sends out his second pokemon. "Go! Dugtrio!"
"DUGTRIO!" The 3 head pokemon enter the battlefield, and all of the heads cry out at the same time.
"Dugtrio! Use Dig!" As soon as the order is given, Dugtrio instantly dives into the earth.
"Be careful, Cubone! Dugtrio can come out from anywhere at any time!" I warn the bone pokemon, making him raise his caution.
But unfortunately, Dugtrio catches Cubone off guard as it appeared directly beneath him "Cubone! Watch out!" Dugtrio then launches Cubone upward into the air before he falls down with a loud *THUD* "Cubone! Are you ok?!"
"Cu... Cubone!" Cubone reassures me by getting back on his feet, holding his bone club out while watching Dugtrio carefully.
"Again! Use Dig!" Pers Giovanni order, Dugtrio Digs into the earth once again, making its way toward the bone pokemon.
This time, however, Cubone manages to see it coming and jump away just in time. But as soon as Cubone rushes in to strike, Dugtrio immediately sinks its head back into the earth for another Dig. "Cu!" Cubone huffs his breath, waiting for another attack. At this rate, Cubone is going to tire out before he can do anything.
As I'm trying to think of a counter-strategy, Dugtrio rises from the earth again. But instead of dodging, Cubone decides to slam one of Dugtrio's heads with his bone club. Of course, he still gets hit by Dugtrio's attack. But it looks like Cubone actually manages to change Dugtrio into Dugduo. Looks like Cubone has the bright idea to play Whac-A-Diglette with Dugtrio.
However, after witnessing Cubone in the act, Giovanni changes his strategy as he orders his pokemon. "Dugtrio! Use Fissure!"
Oh shit.
Immediately, the whole platform beneath Cubone starts to shake, slowly cracking away as Cubone is getting sucked by the earth, devouring the bone pokemon before he can even manage to escape. "Cubone!"
After the tremor is finished, Dugtrio raises its head back onto the surface. "C- Cubone?! Are you ok!? Say something if you can hear me!" But all that's left is just silent. "No..." Realizing what this means, I reluctantly raise my hands to surrender as I have no more pokemon left to battle.
All of a sudden, as if Arceus has answer my prayer, a light escaped through one of the cracks. Then suddenly, a flaming bone club comes out flying toward Dugtrio, hitting the mole pokemon straight on before it spins back toward the crack as a figure jumps out of the earth to catch it. "C- Cubone?" No, that's not Cubone. His appearance has changed!
The pokemon in front of me right now resembles a lot like Marowak. But instead of the usual brown skin, this pokemon has the body's color of black and gray eyes. There's also a dark symbol on its skull that looks like a burning flame. Not to mention the fact that Marowak's bone club is also longer and has blue fires on both ends. "Cubo- I mean... Marowak. Is that you?"
Marowak turns to look at me before giving me a huge smile and a thumbs up. "Marowak!"
"I don't know what happened to you but I hope that your new strength helps us win this battle," I state out loud. "So let's go, Marowak!"
"MAROWAK!" Marowak shows off its new evolution form by spinning his bone club and getting onto a battle stance.
"...Show off," I whisper under my breath. "Marowak! Use Bone Club!"
Marowak then starts running toward Dugtrio. Seeing as Marowak is getting closer, Dugtrio quickly dives into the earth before the bone pokemon can get a chance to hit. Afterward, Marowak closes his eyes and seems to be contemplating something. But soon enough, Marowak's eyes snap open as he swings his bone club onto his left side, to which Dugtrio also rises up from the earth at the same time, resulting in the ground pokemon getting hit by the flaming bone club. Now Dugtrio only has one conscious head left.
"Hey, Marowak?! Did your evolution make you smarter?" I ask the evolved pokemon.
Marowak responds by looking at me before pointing at himself with a smirk. "Yeah yeah, let's focus on the Dugtrio for now."
Getting desperate, Dugtrio decides to go for another Fissure, but Marowak won't let it happen! Instead of waiting around, Marowak's bone club starts to glow purple as he makes a swinging motion. Out of thin air, a similar transparent purple bone club manifests in front of Dugtrio before hitting it straight on, knocking out the last head of the digging pokemon.
"Woah! What is that move?!" I exclaim in surprise, not expecting Marowak to pull a stunt like that.
Marowak turns to look at me and shakes his head. Seems like he also has no idea what he just did. "Ok, we can focus on the name later but can I just say that's so fucking cool!" Marowak proudly raises himself after hearing my compliment.
Recalling back his Dugtrio, Giovanni looks at the pokeball with a mixed emotion on his face. "Truly... fascinating." He quietly comments under his breath. "I want to see where this battle's going, so give me everything you got!" Taking out his last pokeball, Giovanni sends out his final pokemon. "Go! Nidoqueen!"
"Nidoqueen!"
"Alright, Marowak! It's time to end this!"
"Marowak!"
The final conclusion is about to begin.
