Author note: When I first started writing this fanfiction, I never expected it to get this far. Though, that doesn't mean I never made a draft for this story. What you're going to see here is a collection of the unused ideas/ materials that never made it to the official fanfiction. Also, I will leave a footnote explaining what's going on in each chapter.

Prologue

- The protagonist run away from home at Pewter City to Route 3.

- The protagonist encounters a male-Nidoran.

- The male-Nidoran was beaten up by a gang of other 2 male-Nidoran.

- The protagonist decided to rush in and save the male-Nidoran from the gang of pokemon.

- The protagonist and male-Nidoran talk with each other.

- The protagonist cannot catch male-Nidoran due to the missing pokeballs.

- The protagonist promises male-Nidoran that he will make him stronger and deliver his revenge and after that, he's free to do whatever he wants.

Originally, I did not have a name for the MC yet. So for a placeholder, I call him the protagonist though out the entire draft that also doesn't have a name. I would later call it The Adventure of a Runaway Trainer, which I also didn't like and change it into How did I get here?

Chapter 1:

- The protagonist beat up trains Nidoran.

- Wild pokemon are too weak for Nidoran to train with.

- The protagonist decides to become Nidoran training partners.

- The protagonist notices Nidoran occasionally missing his attack.

- The protagonist decides to find out more about it.

- The protagonist and Nidoran venture through the Vridian Forest.

- The protagonist come across a youngster from Viridian City.

- The youngster challenges the protagonist into a pokemon battle.

- The protagonist accepts the battle and send out his nidora

- The youngster sends out an Abra.

- Due to the type disadvantages (Psychic is super effective against Poison), the protagonist curses internally (Fuck.)

- The protagonist quickly orders his Nidoran to attack an Abra.

- Abra constantly uses Teleport to get away from Nidoran attacks.

- Getting annoyed, the protagonist tells his Nidoran to stop his attack and focus on planning.

- The youngster finally decides to attack and order his Abra to use Confusion on Nidoran.

- Seeing the opportunity, the protagonist orders his Nidoran to tank through Confusion and charge an Abra with Peck.

- Abra gets hit straight on. It was a 1 hit KO.

- Abra fainted. The protagonist comes out victorious.

- The youngster introduces himself as Jim and was wondering if he could trade his Abra with the protagonist's Nidoran.

- The protagonist informs him that the Nidoran is a wild and cannot be traded.

- The protagonist then asks if he could borrow the youngster pokedex.

- The youngster agrees in exchange that he could capture the Nidoran.

- The protagonist was about to decline but decided otherwise as plan slowly formulates in his head.

- The protagonist accepts the term and takes the youngster's pokedex to scan his Nidoran.

- The Nidoran has a nature Rash and ability Hustle.

- Upon further research on the pokedex, the protagonist finds out about the ability Hustle.

- Hustle increases the ability-bearer's Attack by 50%, however, it also reduces the Accuracy of all Physical moves by 20%.

- The protagonist returns the pokedex to the youngster.

- The youngster tries to capture the Nidoran.

- Nidoran break free from the pokeball every time the youngster tries to capture him.

- The protagonist explains that Nidoran dislike pokeball and that if he could, he would already capture him.

- The youngster realizes that he got scammed but couldn't do anything about it.

- Both of them say goodbye to each other and part away.

One of the things that you will notice here is that Jim asks to trade his Abra with MC's Nidoran. This never made it to the official fanfiction as I deem it to be quite random and having the MC's tricked the youngster into letting him use the pokedex also doesn't make sense.

Chapter 2:

- After several weeks of training, Nidoran is ready to have his revenge.

- During the weeks of training, Nidoran was ready to evolve.

- The protagonist told his Nidoran to halt his evolution and wait until he got his revenge first.

- Nidoran complied and continue to train without evolving.

- The protagonist and Nidoran travel to Route 3.

- Upon traveling, they stumble across the same group of 2 male-Nidoran picking on a lesser female-Nidoran.

- The protagonist and Nidoran charge in with Nidoran using Horn Attack.

- The attack hits against the male-Nidoran. It was a 1 hit KO.

- The other male-Nidoran, still unaware of the situation, got kick straight into the abdomen by the protagonist.

- Still conscious, the other male-Nidoran cries for help before passing out.

- The protagonist and his Nidoran got surrounded by a pack of Nidoran.

- The pack rushes toward the protagonist and his Nidoran.

- Thanks to the prior training, the protagonist has a few ideas on how to deal with the enemy Nidoran.

- Both the protagonist and his Nidoran fight through the pack with little problem.

- After a while, the number of the pack slowly going down little by little.

- Suddenly, 2 Nidorino emerges from the bushes, growl at both the protagonist and his Nidoran.

- Nidoran charges straight at the opposing Nidorino while the protagonist gets on defensive.

- Both Nidoran and Nidorino clashes against each other with Horn Attack.

- Thanks to the size difference, Nidoran is much faster and manage to land a few hits on Nidorino.

- The protagonist having trouble dealing with the Nidorino.

- Nidorino manage to land a poison sting on the protagonist.

- The protagonist suffered from the poison effect.

- Nidoran notices that the protagonist got hit by a poison sting.

- Nidoran stop holding back and evolves into Nidorino mid-fight.

- Filled with rage, Nidorino charge at the 2 opposing Nidorino at once and defeat them with Fury Attack.

- After finished, Nidorino lay down next to the protagonist before his consciousness slowly fade away.

Chapter 3:

- The protagonist woke up under a white clear ceiling.

- After looking around, the protagonist realizes that he's in Pokemon Center.

- Youngster Jim barge through the door to check out on the protagonist.

- Youngster Jim explains that he stumbles across a wild Nidorino.

- Apparently Nidorino recognized Youngster Jim and decided to catch his attention.

- After that, Nidorino lead Youngster Jim to the protagonist.

- Both Youngster Jim and Nidorino help carried the protagonist to the Pokemon Center.

- The protagonist thanks Youngster Jim and asks where's Nidorino.

- Suddenly, Nidorino barge through the door, followed by a frantically Nurse Joy.

- Nidorino leap toward the protagonist and goes for a hug.

- Nurse Joy expresses her worried on both the protagonist and Nidorino.

- Nurse Joy asks the protagonist to explain what's going on.

- The protagonist reluctantly explains the situation to Nurse Joy.

- Nurse Joy scolds them for their recklessness.

- Nurse Joy asks the protagonist about his parent.

- The protagonist remains quiet.

- Nurse Joy understood the situation and chose not to push on the topic.

- Seeing that the protagonist has nowhere else to go, Youngster Jim offers the protagonist to tag along with him.

- The protagonist stares at the Youngster while Nurse Joy feel uncertain about it.

- The protagonist tells Youngster Jim that he'll think about it and that he wants to rest.

- Both Nurse Joy and Youngster Jim leave the protagonist alone with Nidorino.

- The protagonist tells Nidorino that he has no plan on going home and could tell that Nidorino feel the same.

- The protagonist then offers Nidorino a place by his side as his companion.

- Nidorino thinks about it for a while, but eventually accepts his offers.

- Both the protagonist and Nidorino cheers and hug each other before drift to sleep.

Chapter 4

- The protagonist wakes up with Nidorino on his side.

- Both the protagonist and Nidorino walk out of their room and make their way to the front desk.

- Nurse Joy notices and greet them with Good Afternoon.

- The protagonist asks for Youngster Jim.

- Nurse Joy expresses her gratitude for taking up Youngster Jim's offer and told them that he's inside Mount Moon.

- Confused, the protagonist asks Nurse Joy about Mount Moon.

- Nurse Joy goes on and explains about Mount Moon.

- Mount Moon is a mountain that act as a border between Pewter City and Cerulean City. It is also quite infamous for their annoying Zubat.

- Realization struck, the protagonist curses internally at the mention of Zubat.

- The protagonist thanks Nurse Joy and make his way to the exit.

- Before the protagonist leave, Nurse Joy called him out one more time and toss a pokeball at him.

- The protagonist catches the pokeball mid-air and look at it, realizing that it's an empty pokeball.

- Nurse Joy then tells him to use it on his Nidorino to prevent a pokemon theif from stealing him.

- The protagonist asks Nurse Joy about a pokemon theif.

- Nurse Joy explains to the protagonist that there has been a group of pokemon theif stealing from trainer in Mount Moon.

- Nurse Joy then tells him to be careful.

- The protagonist smiles at Nurse Joy one last time before tells her that she doesn't have to worried about it.

- Leaving the Pokemon Center, the protagonist realizes that he's near the entrance of Mount Moon.

- Making his way inside Mount Moon, not even a minute in and he's already being swarmed by a colony of Zubat.

For Chapter 3 and 4, I decided to merge it together, seeing that there isn't a lot of material to work with. Even after merging, the chapter is still a tad bit too short. Nurse Joy did not scold the MC in the original draft and MC did not have a heartfelt conversation with Nidorino in the official fanfiction.

Chapter 5

- The protagonist complains about Zubat.

- The protagonist went on an inner monologue about how annoying Zubat really is.

- Zubat alone is pretty insignificant. But when in a large group together, they become a super annoying parasite.

- The protagonist proclaims his vendetta against the Zubat's family.

- More issues present themselves.

- The protagonist kept finding himself back at the same looking rock (He got lost).

- The lack of food starting to become a trouble since there's no wild berry in Mount Moon.

- FUCKING ZUBAT

- Eventually, the protagonist found someone else beside him.

- The person wears a skin tights black uniform with the exception of leather gloves, high boots, and utility belt being white. The most noticeable feature is a big red letter "R" on the chest of that said uniform.

- The protagonist approaches the person but when they notice him, the person sends out an Ekans and order it to attack.

- Nidorino get in the way of Ekans and take it down with ease.

- The person run away before the protagonist could question them otherwise.

- More people that's similar to the previous person appeared but the protagonist and Nidorino take care of it without much problem.

- Eventually, they found the exits.

- Before the protagonist could leave, they got called out by someone behind them.

- The person that calls them out wear the same uniform as the rest of the people the protagonist ran into, except that this person has a red stripe at the base of their gloves and boots. The utility belt is also a lot fancier than the rest of them. But the most noticeable feature about this person is his turquoise hair.

- The person introduces himself as Proton, a Rocket Executive.

- Proton states that the protagonist has been causing enough ruckus and that he will deal with him personally.

- Proton sends out Golbat while the protagonist sends out Nidorino.

- Golbat use Wing Attack, Nidorino dodge it with ease.

- However, Golbat follow up the attack with Confuse Ray and Nidorino took the attack full head on.

- Seeing the opportunity, Golbat quickly use Bite on Nidorino and flew up while holding Nidorino in its maw.

- Snapping out of confusion, Nidorino use Horn Attack on Golbat, causing it to drop him onto the ground.

- Getting daze from all of the damage, Nidorino slowly pick himself back up.

- The protagonist order Nidorino to charge in with Fury Attack while Golbat charge up another Wing Attack.

- But before Golbat could engage, the protagonist grabs a handful of dirt and throw it right at Golbat face.

- Seeing his chance, Nidorino pummels Golbat repeatedly until it faints.

- Slightly shocked, Proton recall Golbat back into its pokeball.

- Before the protagonist could do anything else, Proton slowly claps his hand and told him that he was impressed.

- Proton then offers the protagonist to join Team Rocket, saying that they could use someone like him in the organization.

- At first, the protagonist was about to decline but then decide to take his time to think about it.

- After thinking for a while, the protagonist then looks at Nidorino for confirmation, in which Nidorino responds with a nod.

- Getting a green light from his pal, the protagonist accepts the offer and join in with Proton and the rest of Team Rocket.

The conversation with Jim at the beginning of the Chapter did not happen. The Rocket grunt never tricked the MC to follow them into a trap. And I intentionally leave out MC's reason for joining Team Rocket for the future chapter. It was a bad move on my part.

Chapter 6

- Feeling bored, the protagonist slowly tapping his feet to past some time.

- After the protagonist join Team Rocket, he has been assigned a position at the end of the Nugget Bridge.

- Apparently, the protagonist has to convince anyone that reach the end of Nugget Bridge to join Team Rocket, if they decline then he is supposed to take their pokemon by force.

- The protagonist doesn't like the idea of stealing pokemon, but he does like the idea of robbing someone for his personal gain.

- Noticing that someone manage to beat the Nugget Bridge, the protagonist gets into his position.

- However, the moment the protagonist realizes who that person was, he can't help but smile and call out his name.

- Youngster Jim notices the protagonist and greets him.

- Both of them catches up with each other for a while until the youngster challenge him to a pokemon battle.

- The protagonist accepts the challenge under a condition that the loser has to pay the winner.

- The youngster accepts the term and send out Kadabra while the protagonist sends out Nidorino.

- Unfortunately, Kadabra still seem to rely on the same old teleporting and confusion tricks. So the protagonist just told Nidorino to do the same thing he did when he was an Abra.

- And just like that, Youngster Jim loses to the protagonist once again.

- As a token of victory, Youngster Jim gave him a peculiar looking rock which he explains later that it's an evolutionary item called "Moon Stone".

- The protagonist thanks him for the item before he parted away.

- After Youngster Jim out of sight, the protagonist turns arounds and berated his Rocket colleague for falling to a teleporting trick.

- Some more time has passed, and the protagonist silently wait while playing with the Moon Stone.

- The protagonist decided not to evolve Nidorino as both of them come to an agreement that they should wait until they really need it.

- Suddenly, they heard a cry of pokemon coming from the direction of the Nugget Bridge.

- Upon seeing the source, the protagonist was met with a person roughly around his age. He wears a black unbuttoned polo shirt and purple trousers with a white fanny pack on his hip. He also wears purple wristbands on both of his arm for some reason. But the most noticeable feature about him is his spiky brown hair.

- Of course, you have to be living under the rock to not know a grandson of the great Professor Oak, Blue Oak.

- Blue notices the protagonist and challenges him to a battle without hesitation.

- The protagonist sends out Nidorino while Blue sends out a Rattata.

- Rattata charge Nidorino with a Hyper Fang while Nidorino dodge and counter with Horn Attack.

- Seeing the differences in speed, Blue orders Rattata to go for a Quick Attack.

- Unfortunately, the attack doesn't do much damage and Nidorino only response with Fury Attack, finishing Rattata.

- Recalling Rattata, Blue sends out another pokemon, a Pidgeotto to a battle.

- Not wanting to leave a room for breathing, the protagonist order Nidorino to charge Pidgeotto with Horn Attack.

- Pidgeotto however, uses Sand Attack on Nidorino before he could land a hit.

- With both Sand Attack and Hustle, Nidorino is about the same as a blind pokemon.

- Pidgeotto quickly follow up the attack with Gust, landing it straight on Nidorino.

- Seeing as there's nothing else, he can do, the protagonist was about to accept defeat until he realizes about the evolution stone.

- Quickly, the protagonist recalls Nidorino back and use a Moon Stone on him to evolve it into a Nidoking (Nice!).

- With a newly evolved Nidoking, the protagonist orders his pokemon to attack Pidgeotto.

- Nidoking complies and charge straight at Pidgeotto with his newly acquired move, Chip Away.

- With a newfound strength, Pidgeotto quickly succumbed to defeat.

- Recalling Pidgeotto, Blue was about to send out another pokemon but deciding against it, seeing that he's no match against Nidoking.

- Instead, he sends out an Abra and quickly orders it to use Teleport.

- Before the protagonist could catch him, Blue Oak has already got away.

- Groaning in frustration, the protagonist sat down next to Nidoking before recalling him back to his pokeball.

- Just as it seems like all hope has vanished, another trainer makes it to the end of the Nugget Bridge.

- Seeing another window, the protagonist raise himself up and ready himself for a battle against a trainer in Red cap.

Chapter 7

- The protagonist and the rest of the Nugget Bridge's crew got called into the Boss Office.

- The man in the said office, wearing black suit with a Team Rocket's logo on his left chest, excluding a necktie, is a leader of Team Rocket, Giovanni.

- Next to him is his left and right hand executives, Archer and Ariana.

- Archer is a man in Team Rocket's white uniform with a logo on his left chest. His most noticeable feature is his cyan hair.

- Ariana is similar with Archer but instead wear a female alteration of the said uniform. Her most noticeable feature is her crimson red hair.

- Giovanni demands an explanation to why they come back with empty hands.

- The protagonist expresses his apology and explain how his crew's incompetence lead to the failure of their mission.

- One of the grunts got angry at the protagonist's comment and retort back at how is it their fault when the protagonist also loses to that same trainer.

- Ariana raises her voice to demand silence and no disrespect toward their boss.

- Giovanni expresses his understanding but also disappointment toward the protagonist.

- Giovanni then elaborates that according to Proton; the protagonist has a strong Nidorino and does not resort to dirty tactics in order to win.

- The protagonist responds with all due respect that the trainer he encounters is different than any other trainer he has ever met.

- The protagonist then explains that unlike the other 2 trainers, the third mysterious trainer in Red cap is a monster. He sends out Gyarados and manage to knock out Nidoking, using only 2 Dragon Rage without utter a single command or word. The other grunts also confirm this as well.

- If Giovanni is surprised, he doesn't express it through his face. However, the boss notices that the protagonist called his pokemon "Nidoking" instead of "Nidorino".

- The protagonist explains that he manages to evolve his Nidorino using a stolen Moon Stone from the first trainer he encountered at the Nugget Bridge.

- Seeing as that's everything, Giovanni dismisses everyone.

- The protagonist leaves Rocket Hideout which is disguised as Celadon Game Corner and walk around the street of Celadon City.

- Finding a tree to rest nearby, the protagonist rests his back against the tree and release Nidoking out to rest with him.

- Both of them rest there for a while until the protagonist starting to get bored.

- With nothing better to do, the protagonist decides to get up and ask Nidoking to spar with him.

- Nidoking accept, seeing it as an opportunity to waste some time.

- The protagonist and Nidoking sparring with each other with Nidoking slightly holding back and the protagonist going all out.

- The protagonist then notices that Nidoking doesn't miss his attack as much as before.

- Getting intrigue, the protagonist halts the sparring session and ask Nidoking if he notices anything differences.

- Nidoking cross his arm and thinks for a while until Nidoking pat the protagonist's hair and then flex his arm with a smug expression.

- The protagonist face palms and point out Nidoking's attack accuracy.

- The protagonist then looks around for a trainer and spot one in front of a Pokemon Center.

- Both the protagonist and Nidoking approaches the said trainer, but not before the protagonist prevent Nidoking from charging in with an attack.

- The protagonist then greets the trainer and introduces himself.

- The trainer in question then introduces herself as Leaf. She wears a white hat with red outlines. A blue tank top with black outlines and a red skirt. White shoes with red stripes, blue socks, and black wristbands. She also has a yellow bag sling around her body. But the most noticeable feature about Leaf is her shiny dark brown hair and eyes.

- The protagonist quickly shakes his head and told himself not to simp.

- Snapping out of it, the protagonist then asks if he could borrow her pokedex.

- Leaf gladly lends him a pokedex and hand it to him.

- Quickly said thank you, the protagonist uses a pokedex on his Nidoking.

- Upon inspection, Nidoking has acquire a new ability called "Sheer Force", an ability that increases the power of moves that have beneficial secondary effects by 30% but removes those additional effects.

- The protagonist also notices that Nidoking lost his moveset "Leer" and the new additional Ground type.

- Thanking Leaf for the pokedex, the protagonist returns the device and walk away to find out more about his Nidoking.

Chapter 8

- After a couple hours of research, the protagonist has found himself fascinated by the ability Sheer Force.

- Sheer Force alone is a powerful ability. But its true power is shown by pairing with Life Orb.

- Life Orb is an item that has a similar effect to Sheer Force. Both grants a boost of power by 30%. The differences being that Life Orb boosts is at the cost of user's own health.

- This is where Sheer Force comes into play. Not only that Sheer Force and Life Orb boost stacks on top of each other, but Sheer Force also removes Life Orb draw back when activates.

- And it just so happens that Nidoking can learn multiple moves that activate Sheer Force.

- Which lead to the next topics, Nidoking moveset.

- Apparently Pokemon can only learn 4 moves at a time, which explains why Nidoking lost the move "Leer" (Not that it was important anyway).

- On the other hand, Nidoking can learn multiple moves that have secondary effects. There's just only 1 problem.

- With the exception of Earth Power, Nidoking can learns the rest of the move only through the use of TMs.

- Slumping his back against the chair, the protagonist exhales the air to release the tension on his shoulder.

- Suddenly, a radio attached to his hip called out his name and demand to see him at the boss office.

- The protagonist grabs a radio and tell them that he'll be right there in a minute.

- Making his way to the Rocket Hideout, the protagonist is once again face to face with the Rocket Boss, Giovanni.

- Giovanni then explains that he has a special mission for the protagonist.

- The protagonist is assigned with the mission to infiltrate S.S Anne and set up a teleporter somewhere inside a ship so that Team Rocket can get inside easily.

- Having a question, the protagonist interrupts the boss and asks why him specifically.

- Archer then tells him to shut up and listen to the boss until he finishes.

- Giovanni thanks Archer and continues.

- Apparently, there's a rumor that Champion Lance will be on S.S Anne. So in order for Team Rocket to make their way inside, the protagonist needs to cause a distraction and stall for time as long as possible.

- Understood the assignment, the protagonist promises the boss that he will not fail him.

- Seeing the protagonist enthusiasm, the boss calls out one of his executives to come inside the office.

- The said executive walks in. He wears the same uniform as Proton with the slight alteration of yellow stripes from collars, all the way to the bottom. He also has a short purple goatee and hair with a mole on the bottom of his left eye.

- The boss tells the executive, who's now known as Petrel to escort him and gives him a necessary equipment for the mission.

- Petrel then gesture the protagonist to follows him and make their way to the storage.

- After finished supplying, Petrel gave the protagonist the S.S. Anne Ticket before calling out his Alakazam and teleport them to Vermillion City.

- Once arrived, the protagonist scans his surroundings for a bit before making his way toward the ship.

- After flashing his ticket, the protagonist walks inside the ship and look around for a place to set up the teleporter.

- Finally, he finds himself a janitorial closet and set up the teleporter inside. Once done, he calls through the radio and tell them that the teleporter is ready.

- Immediately, several of Team Rocket's grunt make their way through with all of their pokemon on standby.

- The protagonist then leaves the room and make his way toward the deck.

- Reaching the destination, the protagonist has his eyes spot on the target.

- The target has a spiky carmine hair, wearing a black cape with the inner side being red. He also wears a navy blue dragon tribes' uniform with an orange stripe from his collars, all the way to the hips, a few of zig-zag orange stripes on his sleeves, and a black boots with orange stripes on both of them.

- The target is none other than the Champion Lance.

- Judging from the situation, the party is recently finished, and everyone is making their way to the cabin, including Lance.

- Just before Lance could leave, the protagonist calls him out and challenge him to a pokemon battle.

- Lance declines the challenge, saying that he's only have 1 pokemon with.

- But the protagonist argue that he also only has 1 pokemon and it would be a quick friendly match.

- Again, Lance declines and was about to leave until the protagonist calls him out as a coward.

- Everyone went silents at the protagonist comment in which he repeated the word "coward" again.

- Turning around, Lance asks him if he's willing to humiliate himself in front of the crowds, but the protagonist counter back that the only one that will be humiliate here is him.

- Having enough, Lance sends out his Dragonite while the Protagonist sends out his Nidoking.

- With everything went according to plan, the protagonist stalls the time as long as possible while the rest of Team Rocket making their way in.

Chapter 9

- After going back and forth between Dragonite and Nidoking, Lance notices something is off about the battle.

- Calling a time out, Lance then asks the protagonist what is the hell is he up to.

- Seeing as enough time has passed, the protagonist then took off his jacket and reveal a big red "R" at the center of his uniform to the entire deck to see.

- Realizing what that symbol means, Lance immediately went on guard and demands to know what does the member of Team Rocket want.

- Deciding to have some fun, the protagonist teases Lance for being a slow head and ask him if he has a clock.

- Lance is slightly lost at first, but quickly recovered as he notices how quiet the cabins are.

- The protagonist sarcastically congratulates Lance for finally figure it out.

- As Dragonite was about to engage, the protagonist held up his radio and warn him that if he tries anything funny, his colleague will blow up this ship, along with the rest of passengers here.

- "Isn't that right, guys?" the protagonist asks through the radio but receives no respond. He then asks again and receives a statics message mentioning a trainer in Red cap before cutting out.

- Staring at the radio, the protagonist realizes just how deep in a shit he is right now.

- Looking back at Lance, the protagonist could almost notice a smug at the corner of his mouth.

- Groaning in frustration, the protagonist pocketed the radio away and tell Nidoking to go with plan B.

- Failing to keep a serious face, Lance burst out laughing and asks if he's serious about taking him on.

- However, the protagonist only taunts him back with a promise of Lance's humiliation.

- Staring down at each other one last time, both trainers resume their battle with Lance orders his Dragonite to use Fly and follows up with Hyper Beam midair.

- The protagonist yells at Nidoking to watch out for attack and wait until Dragonite lands.

- After dodging Hyper Beam, Lances order his Dragonite to dive down and use Fly at Nidoking.

- The protagonist then orders his Nidoking to take the attack face on.

- Nidoking looks back at the protagonist, slightly unsure at first, but quickly obey.

- Dragonite manage to land a solid hit on Nidoking causing him stumbles back, almost lose his footing.

- Just before Lance could order his next attack, the protagonist quickly rush in and grabs Lance by the neck and presses a knife against his throat.

- Realizing that his trainer is in danger, Dragonite quickly rushes toward the protagonist but Lance manages to stop his pokemon from doing so.

- While slowly approaches the railing, the protagonist asks Lance if he cares for his pokemon.

- Lance only responds with a glare, so the protagonist responds with more pressure to his throat.

- Eventually, Lance tells him that Dragonite will never listen to a Rocket scum like him.

- However, that only makes the protagonist cracks a smile and eventually reach the railing of the deck.

- "Let's put that loyalty to a test, shall we?" The protagonist whisper into Lance's ear before chucking him off into the ocean.

- Seeing the situation transpire, Dragonite quickly rushes toward the ocean to save his trainer.

- With the window presents itself, the protagonist calls his Nidoking back into his pokeball and quickly run toward the janitorial closets.

- After stepping on the teleporter and get teleport to the other side, the protagonist tells the other grunt to destroy it immediately.

- The other grunt hesitates at first, but the protagonist yells at how Lance is going to catch up very soon.

- Realizing the severity of the situation, the other grunt immediately destroys the teleporter just before someone could make it to the other side.

- After gasping for air, the protagonist let his back fall against the wall while cursing at how thing wasn't supposed to go like this.

- The protagonist then goes on a rant about how the next time he sees that trainer in Red cap, he's going to rip his head off.

Chapter 10

- Several weeks after the failure of the S.S. Anne's mission, Nidoking and the protagonist has been training relentlessly. They'd often ask the executive to help with their training or sometime the other grunts if they're not available.

- When there's no one else to spar with however, the protagonist and Nidoking would go all out against each other.

- This results in the protagonist gained some muscle and stamina while Nidoking learned 2 new moves, Thrash and Earth Power.

- Today is just like any other day, the protagonist makes his way toward the boss office to request for training partner.

- Upon reaching the office, the protagonist spotted both Archer and Ariana beside their boss, Giovanni.

- The protagonist asks what's the occasion for all these gathering.

- The boss explains that the protagonist has to stop his training as it is unhealthy and could potentially kills him.

- The protagonist retorts back that it's none of his business and that they'll train however they see fit.

- Displeased with the protagonist attitude, Archer step in and tells the protagonist to drop the rude manners immediately.

- Unexpectedly, the protagonist lifts Archer by his neck and slams him against the table before telling him to fuck off in a tone filled with malice.

- While Ariana was about to calls out her pokemon, Giovanni prevents her from doing so and simply watch the situation transpire.

- After a short while, the protagonist decides to let him go and leave the office but not before a lone grunt rushes in.

- The said grunt then said something along the line of someone with a Red cap break into their Hideout.

- At the statement of Red cap, the protagonist's ear perks up and ask the grunt to give him a detailed description of the intruder.

- After listening to the grunt describe his appearance, the protagonist can't help but smile at the opportunity.

- Seeing his chances, the protagonist quickly makes his way toward the entrance, knowing that the trainer in Red cap has to pass through here in order to get to the boss.

- Few minutes has passed, the protagonist is now face to face with the trainer in Red cap.

- Both of them stare down at each other until the protagonist broke the silence "So, we meet again."

- The protagonist then explains that if he wants to get to the boss, then he has to get pass him first.

- Immediately, the protagonist sends out Nidoking while the trainer in Red cap sends out Charmeleon.

- Without hesitation, the protagonist orders his Nidoking to finishes Charmeleon with Earth Power.

- Following orders, Nidoking manage to land a solid hit on Charmeleon, resulting in a 1 hit KO.

- Slightly shocked at first, the trainer in Red cap quickly recovers and recalls Charmeleon back into his pokeball and sends out Gyarados.

- Seeing Gyarados again, rage builds up inside both the protagonist and Nidoking.

- Gyarados then charge up Dragon Rage, but the protagonist takes notices and order Nidoking to look out for the attack.

- Nidoking then dodge the attack, while Gyarados kept firing Dragon Rage.

- Eventually, Gyarados stop using Dragon Rage and charge in for a Bite.

- Noticing Gyarados charging straight right at Nidoking, the protagonist orders Nidoking to counter it with Horn Attack.

- Both attacks collide and pushes against each other.

- Nidoking has an advantage due to prior training and manages to push Gyarados back.

- Gyarados got push back and stumble a bit but quickly recovered.

- Gyarados then uses Twister to trap Nidoking in a spinning vortex.

- Gyarados then charge another Dragon Rage while the protagonist yells at Nidoking to get out of there.

- Unfortunately, the attack hits Nidoking before he could move away, pushing Nidoking back against the wall.

- Worried, the protagonist asks if Nidoking is ok.

- Instead, Nidoking gets up with rubbles all around him, eyes filled with rage.

- In the heat of anger, Nidoking charges toward Gyarados with Thrash.

- Gyarados retaliate with another Dragon Rage, but Nidoking take the attacks head on and ignore the pain while going forward.

- Getting desperate, Gyarados then tries to use Bite on Nidoking but Nidoking is faster manage to land Thrash before Gyarados could do anything.

- Roaring in pain, Gyarados tries to escape but Nidoking is having none of it. Instead, Nidoking kept using Thrash over and over until Gyarados couldn't take it anymore and eventually fainted.

- Finally calm downs, Nidoking let his knee fall to the ground with his arm grasp on his head, trying to soothe the headache.

- The protagonist quickly rushes to his side while slowly patting his back, helping Nidoking lessen his headache.

- The trainer in Red cap, now slightly on the edge, sends out another pokemon to fight against Nidoking.

- A Pikachu.

- The protagonist is dumbfounded by the trainer in Red cap's choices of pokemon.

- Nidoking however, almost chuckles at the sight of the yellow rat if it wasn't for the pain of headache.

- Getting ready for battle, the protagonist order Nidoking to prepares for Earth Power. But before Nidoking could do otherwise, Pikachu dashes toward Nidoking and manage to land a Quick Attack on Nidoking's chest.

- Stumble back by a little, Nidoking lost his focus and try to use Earth Power again.

- But Pikachu manage to run around and dodge Earth Power while jumping and using Iron Tail against the back of Nidoking's head.

- Slightly pissed, Nidoking then use Earth Power on himself, hoping to take out both him and Pikachu.

- In a turn of event, Pikachu did the unexpected and use Volt Tackle on Nidoking.

- The attack itself doesn't do any damage, but the impact of the attack manages to push Nidoking back against the wall.

- After the impact, Nidoking then falls onto the ground, fainted.

- Shocked, the protagonist watches the situation transpire while the trainer in Red cap walks pass him and make his way to the boss office.

- With the trainer in Red cap out of sight, the protagonist clenches his fist and curse under his breath for losing to the trainer in Red cap again.

- And to rub more salt in the wound, he lost to an electric type.

The battle did not take place inside the hideout and Pikachu never made an appearance in the official fanfiction. (Red does have a Pikachu. I just never get a chance to write about the yellow rodent.) The battle also didn't result in a tie in the original draft. (It was supposed to be a way of fueling him with drive for getting stronger but I want to lean more on crack.)

Chapter 11

- After his defeat against the trainer in Red cap, the protagonist slumps his back against the tree in Celadon City, smoking a cigarette while waiting for his Nidoking to recover.

- The protagonist has done some thought about what causes the battle to result like this and if he could do anything differently to change the outcome.

- But no matter how many times the protagonist replays the event in his head, it all lead to the same conclusion.

- The protagonist is still too weak.

- It's the only explanation. After all, how does a Pikachu manage to defeat a ground type pokemon using an electric type of attack? It's simple really. With a sheer power of raw strength.

- Seeing as enough time has passed, the protagonist decides to check up on Nidoking and see if he's in a better condition yet.

- Nidoking then appears out of his pokeball and notices at how the protagonist's body posture is sad.

- Nidoking then tries to cheer up the protagonist by playing with his hair, but then realizes at how the protagonist is really not in the mood for it.

- Feeling the tension, Nidoking decides to sit next to the protagonist and wait until he's feeling any better.

- After a while, the protagonist then opens his mouth and ask how does Nidoking feel about losing to a Pikachu.

- Nidoking looks at the protagonist and just shrug his shoulder.

- Slightly lost, the protagonist then asks again why isn't Nidoking mad about losing to an electric type, despite himself being a ground type.

- Nidoking then cross his arm and thinks for a while before he points to his arm muscles and then point to the protagonist chest. After that Nidoking then points to the protagonist's arm muscles and later point to Nidoking's chest.

- The protagonist doesn't understand what message is Nidoking trying to convey, but he understands that Nidoking is trying to reassure the protagonist.

- The protagonist then stands up and goes for a hug with Nidoking being slightly awkward about it but eventually return the hug.

- After that, the protagonist thanks Nidoking and return him to his pokeball and continue smoking under the shades of the tree.

- With the time passing by, the protagonist then got a radio signal calling for back up at the Pokemon Tower.

- Not having anything better to do, the protagonist then make his way toward Lavender Town.

- Upon reaching the place, the protagonist then looks around for a building and notice a tall structure which he assumes to be a Pokemon Tower (aka the only tower in the entire town).

- Before he could enter the tower, the protagonist then bumps into someone who also happened to exit the building at the same time.

- Slightly irritated, the protagonist then yells at the person to watch where they were going.

- But upon taking another look, the protagonist then recognizes the face of that said person, Blue Oak.

- Blue also happened to recognize the protagonist and was ready to send out his pokemon to defends himself.

- But for unknown reason, Blue decides against it and tells the protagonist to do whatever he wants.

- Dumbfounded, the protagonist remains idle, unsure of what to do next.

- Blue then gets irritated and ask what is he waiting for.

- Coming back to his sense, the protagonist then asks if Blue is ok.

- Blue then retorts back that it's none of his business and why does the Rocket care anyway.

- The protagonist reason that he may be a Rocket, but he isn't heartless. In the end, we are all humans here.

- The protagonist then deduces that Blue must've lost someone dear to him, seeing as he was in a Pokemon Tower just a minute ago (Pokemon Tower is a cemetery).

- Blue flinches at the statement of lost someone dear, confirming the protagonist suspicion.

- Knowing that it is none of his business, the protagonist then decides to let Blue grief alone.

- Just before the protagonist can leave, Blue murmurs something along the line of it's his fault.

- The protagonist stops in his track in order to listen to Blue closely.

- Blue then goes on a quiet rant about how he pushes his pokemon too hard and that he has to pay the price for it while also quietly sobbing.

- Wanting to console him, the protagonist then offers Blue a cigarette.

- Blues notices a pack of cigarette in front of him and ask the protagonist if he is serious since he's 16.

- The protagonist responds with "And I'm a criminal, what's your point?"

- Blue softly chuckles at the statement and take the cigarette while the protagonist light it up for him.

- Blue tries to smoke but cough up at his first time.

- The protagonist then tells him to take it slow so that the smoke can cool down and doesn't burn his lung.

- Following the instructions, Blue manages to smoke the cigarette without choking on it.

- The protagonist then asks if he's feeling any better, which Blue responds with "a little bit".

- The protagonist then tells him about his Nidoking. How he pushes his training to the top and that in the end, he's still lost a battle.

- Eventually, he realizes that it doesn't worth it. He'd rather take it on his own pace from now on rather than rushing things ahead.

- Listening to the protagonist, Blue makes a comment at how the protagonist isn't as bad as he thought.

- Parting away, the protagonist wishes him luck and hope that they'd never run into each other again, for the better of it.

Chapter 12

- After making his way inside the Pokemon Tower and going up the stair floor by floor, the protagonist spotted a group of Rocket grunts trying to prevent 2 people from leaving.

- Upon a closer look, the protagonist recognizes that said people are the trainer in Red cap and the other person he doesn't recognize .

- The other grunts notice the protagonist and tell the other about it.

- After realizing that the protagonist as a backup, the rest of the grunts let the trainer in Red cap go while the protagonist slowly approaches them.

- Both of them stare down at each other for a while until the protagonist decides to let the 2 of them go.

- The rest of the grunts is shocked at the sight upon them and asks why the hell did the protagonist let them go.

- The protagonist explains to them that his pokemon is in no condition to battle since he was defeated by a trainer with spiky hair, Blue Oak.

- The moment the protagonist mentions Blue Oak, the trainer in Red cap stop in his place and turn around to look at the protagonist.

- The protagonist notices that the trainer in Red cap is looking at him and ask what does he want.

- The trainer in Red cap doesn't respond and slowly resume back on his walk and leave the room.

- After the trainer in Red cap left, the protagonist then proceeds to go up stair and enter the last floor of the Pokemon Tower.

- Making his way up the stair, the protagonist notices 2 familiar looking face, Petrel and Proton.

- Walking towards them, the 2 executives eventually take notice of the protagonist and ask him what is he doing here.

- The protagonist sarcastically tells them that he's here to pick up their ass since they also got smoked by the same trainer in Red cap.

- Hearing his remarks, Proton tells the protagonist to get off his high Rapidash and that they should go report to the boss.

- The protagonist was about to tell them otherwise but choose not to seeing as it would be funny to see Giovanni lash out at his executive.

- Once reaches the hideout, the protagonist then watches as the scene in front of him transpire with amusement.

- The boss is absolutely livid. He kept going on and on about how the rest of them is useless and incompetence.

- Although the protagonist is in the said group of incompetence, it is still funny to see the Rocket executives with their face down, getting lashed out by the boss.

- After finishes with his outrage, Giovanni then dismisses the rest of the team, except for the protagonist and his executives.

- Once everyone leaves, Proton take his chances to glare at the protagonist while the protagonist simply whistles, pretending not to feel any malice from him at all.

- Everyone stays in silent for a while until Petrel decides to break the silent and ask the boss what does he want.

- Giovanni then explains that he has a special mission for them and that it's going to be big.

- The mission is to infiltrate and take over Silph Co. Headquarters.

Chapter 13

- It was a middle of the night; the protagonist is waiting nearby Saffron city for his signal.

- The protagonist then thought back to the yesterday event.

- Giovanni had assigned him and the executives a special mission. Apparently, they need all the strength they could get and the protagonist just happened to have a very strong Nidoking.

- Still, it is very odd for Giovanni to assign such important mission to him considering that his tracks record isn't exactly clean.

- Regardless, the protagonist has no intention to come out empty hand. This time, he will see it through that the mission come out successfully.

- Pushing that aside, the protagonist is now currently waiting for a signal to move in by the executives.

- Once the clock hits midnight, Proton finally gives his signal through the radio and the protagonist move to his position,

- Inside Silph Co. Headquarters, the receptionist is quietly reading her books in the lobby when suddenly, a mass of purple gases filled the room, causing her to choke on the gases and eventually fell unconscious.

- After the gases dissipated, the protagonist and the executives make their way inside the Headquarters and begin securing the place.

- Floor by floor, they slowly take out the guard and hold hostage of the employees until they finally reach the top floor.

- Once the building is under their control, Petrel sets up the teleporter for the rest of the Team Rocket to get in while the protagonist decides to do some snooping around the places.

- Proton notices the protagonist and his shenanigans and decides to follow him around.

- Meanwhile on the fourth floor, the protagonist is messing around the storage area when suddenly, he heard a rustling coming from the back of the containers.

- Just as he was about to go and investigates the noises, Proton then appears from behind the protagonist and ask what was he doing.

- The protagonist tells him that he should mind his own business as the rustling noises disappeared.

- After that, both of them stay with each other for a while until the protagonist had enough and breaks the silent by asking Proton what does he want.

- Proton simply shrugs his shoulder and continue idly tapping his foot.

- The protagonist glares at Proton for a while until eventually, Proton sigh and tells him that he can't figure out what's so interesting about the protagonist.

- Confused, the protagonist asks what does he mean by that.

- Proton then tells him that the protagonist felt different, and it's not just him too. The rest of the executives, including Giovanni, also agrees that there's something different about the protagonist.

- The protagonist remains silent for a while until he asks them if this is why the boss have him tag along with them,

- Proton answers him that maybe it is, but it is also possible that the boss like to play favorite.

- Nobody talks to each other for a while until the protagonist resume searching for stuffs.

- Without any potential topic of conversation, Proton decides to leave the protagonist and be on his way.

- Moment later, the protagonist hears that rustling noises again and goes over to investigate.

- Getting closer, the protagonist found the sources of said noises to be a pokemon. An Eevee to be precise.

- The protagonist then greets the pokemon but Eevee seems to be slightly intimidated by the protagonist presence.

- Realizes the state that Eevee is in, the protagonist then calls out Nidoking for help. But instead, that just make Eevee even more intimidated.

- Now nervous, the protagonist then tries to console an Eevee but failed miserably.

- Giving up, the protagonist gets up and leave the room.

- As he was about to leave, Eevee notices and cries, begging for the protagonist to stay.

- The protagonist heard Eevee's cries and panic, quickly shushing Eevee from making anymore noises, not wanting to get any more unnecessary attention.

- Eevee then does a puppy eye, making the protagonist grimace, trying not to aww.

- Eventually, the protagonist gives in and sit down next to Eevee, letting the pokemon snuggles close to the protagonist.

- Drowsiness closing in, the protagonist let himself fall asleep next to Eevee while Nidoking stands guard for any danger.

Chapter 14

- The protagonist wakes up to the sound that's similar to a camera shutter.

- After opening his eyes, the protagonist sees Petrel and Proton, snickering while taking a picture of him.

- Rubbing his eyes, the protagonist then spotted a black smudge on his wrist.

- Slowly processing information, the protagonist finally connects it all together. A black smudge on his wrist, Petrel and Proton snickering while taking a picture.

- Suddenly, a scream can be heard throughout the entire building, making a few of Rocket grunts to jump by surprise.

- While Petrel and Proton run away, laughing. The protagonist furiously chasing 2 of the executives down the hallways.

- In the end, the 2 executives managed to get away and the protagonist went to the restroom to clean up his mess.

- After washing his face and drying it with a towel, the protagonist then left the restroom and spots an Eevee from last night, waiting for him outside.

- The protagonist doesn't pay a mind to the pokemon and be on his way but Eevee just keeps following him.

- The protagonist sees this and shoo him away, Eevee mistook it as a friendly gesture and rolls over with his belly up.

- The protagonist stops the gesture and tell him to go away. Instead, Eevee just stares at him blankly, not moving in his spot.

- Giving up, the protagonist then let Eevee tags along while Eevee happily follows the protagonist.

- Minutes later, the protagonist then got a radio call from Archer, telling him and the rest of the executives to meet the boss at the president's office.

- The protagonist complies, and step into the teleporter with an Eevee following him behind.

- Petrel and Proton arrive at the office while Archer and Ariana are already in it. The protagonist then follow suit but as soon as he enters the offices, they all notice an Eevee walking behind him.

- Petrel comments on how to protagonist make a new friend, while Proton has to muffle his laughter as the protagonist glares at both of them.

- With everyone present, Giovanni then begins by congratulating them on their mission, saying that it is a big leap closer to their goals.

- As Giovanni goes on about Team Rocket and stuffs, Eevee starts latching onto the protagonist leg.

- The protagonist notices this and quickly tries to shake him off but Eevee just wouldn't budge.

- Unfortunately, Giovanni catches him in an act and ask what is up with that Eevee on his leg.

- Both Petrel and Proton has to try their hardest not to snickers but still failed, getting an angry glare from the protagonist.

- The protagonist explains that he met this Eevee inside a storage room last night and that the pokemon wouldn't leave him alone since.

- Giovanni simply ignores this and continue his speech about Rocket and etc. Leaving Eevee to latches on the protagonist's leg.

- Eventually, the boss dismisses everyone and the protagonist has to keep his vein from popping while telling the executives not to say a word about this.

- With midday approaches, the protagonist leaves Silph Co. Headquarters to go and get some lunch for him and his pokemon. Although, he wasn't sure if Eevee count as his.

- With the entire Saffron City under Team rocket's control, the protagonist doesn't have to change his uniform or where a disguise to go somewhere around the city.

- Just as he was about to look around for a place, a voice calls him from behind and the protagonist turns around to spot a familiar face.

- It was Blue Oak, accompany by another familiar face, Leaf.

- The protagonist then greets Blue which he kindly returns the gesture. Leaf, however, seem slightly on edge by the situation.

- Blue makes a comment at how bold the protagonist is for wearing a Team Rocket uniform outside in the open.

- The protagonist replies back that as if anyone could take him down. But Blue might actually have a chance against him.

- Laughing at their reunion, Blue then introduces him to Leaf, his childhood friend. The protagonist tells him that they have already met before but back then, she didn't know that he was a Rocket.

- Offering a hand to her, Leaf awkwardly returns the handshake, forcing out herself to say nice to meet him.

- Seeing at how awkward she is, the protagonist gets a bright idea and decides to invite the 2 of them to a restaurant, saying that the food is on the house.

- Blue jokingly tells Leaf that it's a perk of being a part of Team Rocket, which the protagonist responds that he may be cruel, but he is not that Tentacruel.

- Laughing again, the 3 of them slowly make their way around the city until they spotted noodles shop nearby.

- Upon entering the shop, the people insides went silent at the sight of the protagonist in Team Rocket's uniform.

- Blue is undisturbed by the sudden change of atmosphere, but Leaf felt extremely anxious about it.

- The protagonist asks for a table for 3, which the staff hesitantly guide them to the table.

- Once sat down, the protagonist then asks what do they want to eat, which Blue tells him that anything will do.

- The protagonist then looks at Leaf when she realizes that she's being asked and tell him that anything will do as well.

- With the orders in mind, the protagonist then order 3 medium-sized spicy noodles, but Eevee yells at him after which he changes it to 4 medium-sized spicy noodles.

- Once ordered, the protagonist waits at the table while Blue's playing with his pokedex and Leaf nervously fidgeting her finger.

- Sensing her emotion, Eevee then jumps at Leaf and tries to cheer her up by playing with her.

- Leaf notices Eevee and ruffling his hair, getting a small smile out of her.

- Once the food is arrived, everyone digs in with Eevee funnily tries to pretend that the food is not to spicy for him, getting a laugh out of the table with Leaf joining them.

- After finished with their food, the protagonist then pays for the food, getting an astonished looks from the staff and customer and finally leave the restaurant.

- Outside the restaurant, Eevee is joyfully play with Leaf as the protagonist watches as the scene unfold in front of him.

- Making his decision, the protagonist suggests that Leaf should take Eevee with her which surprised both Leaf and Eevee.

- Leaf asks if he was sure and the protagonist tell her that she has to ask that question to Eevee instead of him.

- The protagonist then knelt down and ask if Eevee want to tag along with Leaf on a pokemon adventure.

- To everyone surprised, Eevee shakes his head and climbs onto the protagonist's shoulder instead, which gets a laugh out of Blue, saying that the protagonist acts nothing like a Rocket at all.

- Both Leaf and the protagonist join in with the laughter until eventually, they say goodbye to each other and be on their way.

Chapter 15

- Days have passed since the encounter with Blue and Leaf, the protagonist continue his duty at Silph Co. Headquarters.

- The boss has scheduled a meeting with President Silph, using the employees and the headquarter as leverages.

- During that time, the protagonist decided to snoop around the storage area once again and come across a package labeled TM24.

- Upon opening the package, the protagonist found himself a stack of yellow disk

- The protagonist has an idea as to what could this TM possibly be but he needs to confirm it with the others first.

- After getting a confirmation from the others grunt, the protagonist then proceeded to hand TM24 to Nidoking to use, but then realized later that he doesn't know how to use a TM.

- Forcing himself to ask for Proton's help, the executive then teaches the protagonist how to use the TM.

- Following his instruction, the protagonist recalls Nidoking back to his pokeball and set the disk on top of the pokeball's button.

- After that, the disk start to spin on top of the pokeball and slowly crumbling away into nothing.

- Once the TM has disappeared, the protagonist calls out Nidoking and orders him to use Thunderbolt.

- Confirming his hypothesis, Nidoking surrounds himself in an electric spark and fire it toward Proton.

- Proton barely manage to dodge the attack, getting a small chuckle out of the protagonist.

- The protagonist then thanks Proton afterward and be on his way.

- With another day passing by, the protagonist let himself relax under the tree, outside Saffron City.

- Eevee jumps onto the protagonist let himself rest on the protagonist chest.

- The protagonist lightly rubs on Eevee's forehead, soothing him in the process.

- One of the things that he learns during his time with Eevee is that Eevee loves to hog all of the attention to himself. So the protagonist has to give him his attention from time to time.

- And it's not only him either, Eevee also did this with his Nidoking and the other grunts.

- While some of the grunts did give Eevee attention, Nidoking tends to get irritated by Eevee constant nagging.

- At one point, Nidoking has to vent his frustration on the protagonist during their training sessions in order to blow off some steam.

- On the bright side, Nidoking gets stronger every time they spar with each other, so the protagonist didn't do anything to stop Eevee from nagging Nidoking. It is not because of how hilarious it is to see Nidoking get pissed off by a pokemon that's a quarter of his size. Nope. Not at all.

- Drifting off to sleep, the protagonist got waken by the sound of a radio from his belt.

- The protagonist grabs the radio and ask what is it.

- A few of the grunts' yelling can be heard through the radio, saying something along the line of he's here.

- The protagonist tells them to calm down and elaborate as to who is here.

- One of the grunt yells through the radio that the trainer in Red cap is here.

- The moment that he heard the word "Red", the protagonist quickly gets up from his spots and rush toward Silph Co. Headquarters.

- Upon entering the building, the protagonist swiftly makes his way to the teleporter and step on it.

- Reaching the final floor and entering the office, the protagonist is met with 4 of the executives and the boss, negotiating with President Silph.

- Proton notices the protagonist and asks what is he doing here.

- The protagonist tells that he is here. The trainer in Red cap is here.

- Realizing the situation, all 4 of the executives leave the room and rushes toward the teleporter, leaving the protagonist with Giovanni and President Silph.

- The 3 of them remain silent for a while until Giovanni breaks the ice and tell the protagonist to wait here incase his executives failed.

- The protagonist nod in acknowledgement and wait outside the office for the trainer in Red cap.

- Eventually, the said trainer steps out of the teleporter and is face to face with the protagonist once again.

- The protagonist then congratulates him for making it this far but this is where it ends as he will be the one to defeat him once and for all.

- The protagonist then sends out Nidoking while the trainer in Red cap sends out Charizard, both ready for battles.

Chapter 16

- Nidoking and Charizard stare down at each other, waiting for the order from their respective trainer.

- Charizard began charging up Flamethrower. The protagonist notices this and order Nidoking dodge the attack.

- Nidoking sides step to evade Flamethrower, the protagonist orders Nidoking to retaliate with Chip Away.

- Nidoking charges up and land Chip Away at Charizard, causing it to stumble back. The damage, however, wasn't that great.

- Charizard then Fly up and charging Flamethrowing mid-air, firing it toward Nidoking.

- The protagonist orders Nidoking to watches out for the attack and wait for the opening.

- After a couple of Flamethrower, Charizard charge straight right at Nidoking, using Fly.

- The protagonist sees his chances and order Nidoking to quickly use Thunderbolt on himself.

- Charizard realizes what's Nidoking doing and tries to move away but reacted a little bit too late.

- Nidoking manages to land Thunderbolt on both him and Charizard.

- Due to Ground type immunity, Nidoking came out unscathed while Charizard suffers from severe electrics burn.

- Seeing as Charizard is in no condition to continue fighting, trainer in Red cap recalls Charizard and sends out his next pokemon, Snorlax.

- Both pokemon prepare for battle with Nidoking ready to counter the attack.

- Snorlax rushes toward Nidoking and use Body Slam. But due to a clear speed difference, Nidoking can easily dodge the attack.

- Nidoking then counter the attack using Chip Away without the protagonist's order.

- The battle repeats itself in a similar pattern until Snorlax looks beaten up and ready to faint at any given moment.

- Just as Nidoking was about to land a finishing blow, Snorlax falls on his back and use Rest, regaining its health back to max percent.

- Realizing what's going on, the protagonist yells out at Nidoking to get away but Nidoking did not listen.

- Instead, Nidoking kept on using Chip Away, hoping to get Snorlax back to his beaten up state.

- As per the protagonist's prediction, Snorlax wakes up, grab hold of Nidoking, and use his weight to land a full Body Slam right at Nidoking.

- Pushes back by the attack, Nidoking then stumble on his feet, try not to fall onto his knee.

- The protagonist warns Nidoking to listen and stick with only range attacks from now on.

- The battle continues with Nidoking using Thunderbolt and Earth Power on Snorlax and Snorlax using Rest everytime he's about to faint.

- While Nidoking is panting in exhaustion, Snorlax seems to regain his stamina every time he uses Rest.

- Seeing no other option, the protagonist orders Nidoking to use Thrash on Snorlax until he fainted.

- Nodding his head, Nidoking charges toward Snorlax and go full assault with Thrash.

- Snorlax gets pushes back by the barrage of attack from Nidoking, so Snorlax and tries to use Rest.

- Despite gaining his health back to max, Nidoking still keep going with his assault, making Snorlax feels every moment of pain.

- Eventually, Snorlax couldn't take it anymore and let himself faints, allowing a moment for Nidoking to recover while grasping his head to deal with a massive headache.

- The trainer in Red cap recalls his pokemon back and sends out Pikachu.

- However, Nidoking is in no state to continue fighting and is way too tired to keep going.

- Just as the protagonist was about to give up, an Eevee jumps in front of the protagonist and face towards Pikachu.

- The protagonist asks what does Eevee think he's doing, in which Eevee responds with a battle cry.

- Knowing that it was futile to say no, the protagonist lets Eevee stay and prepare for battle against Piakchu.

- Pikachu starts up the assault with Quick Attack, but Eevee responds back to Pikachu with his own Quick Attack.

- Both collides against each other and bounce back onto the battlefield.

- Pikachu then harden his tail and prepare to use Iron Tail.

- To the protagonist surprise, Eevee retaliates back with his own Iron Tail.

- The attacks push back toward one another, making a sound of scraping steel.

- Eventually, Eevee pushes forward, results in Pikachu leaving himself open.

- With Pikachu's wide open, Eevee lands Headbutt straight onto Pikachu's, throwing him against the floor.

- Pikachu slowly gets up and shrouded himself in a yellow aura, preparing himself for Volt Tackle.

- The protagonist was about to tell Eevee to watch out, but Pikachu manages to charge straight at Eevee, landing a full force attack before the protagonist could tell Eevee otherwise.

- Eevee got thrown back against the wall, leaving a small dent on it.

- As if all hope was lost, the protagonist was going to call out his Nidoking to continue the battles, but Eevee manages to stand up on his feet and yells out his battle cry one last time.

- Determination in his eyes, Eevee shrouded himself in a white aura, preparing for the attack.

- Pikachu notices this and also shrouded himself in a yellow aura, readying his own attack.

- Both pokemon then charges toward one another, with battle cries from each other.

- The attacks collide, causing a shock wave in the battlefield.

- Pikachu and Eevee kept pushing against each other, but Eevee legs' about to give up on him.

- The protagonist yells at Eevee to give it his best shot, which sparks something inside Eevee, letting out his final battle cry and pushes Pikachu back.

- Eventually, Eevee overpowered Pikachu and lifts him up in the air, ramming him toward the wall.

- The impact causes the building the shake by a little, getting the attention from Giovanni and President Silph.

- Once the dust finally settles down, showing a small crater on the wall, with Pikachu lying unconsciously against it while Eevee is wobblingly walking toward the protagonist.

- Seeing the result, the protagonist can't help but lifts Eevee up and congratulate him for his first victory. Eevee softly cheers with the protagonist.

- The trainer in Red cap watches at the scene unfold in front of him. His ace pokemon, Pikachu, defeated by a Rocket's Eevee, who's celebrating his victory at the moment.

- Making his decision, the trainer in Red cap decides against sending out his other pokemon and walk toward the protagonist.

- The protagonist stops on his track to see what does the trainer in Red cap wants with him.

- The protagonist was caught off guard when the trainer in Red cap offering a hand to him.

- The protagonist takes it as a sign of respect and return the gesture by shaking his hand.

- Each trainer seems to understand each other for a while until the trainer in Red cap walks away with a small smile on his face, before stepping into the teleporter.

- Now that the trainer in Red cap is gone, the protagonist then makes his way toward the president's office, holding an injured Eevee in his arm.

- Entering the offices, both Giovanni and President Silph notice the states of Eevee, assuming for the worst.

- But all that fears went away when the protagonist gives the boss a thumbs up with a smile on his face.

Chapter 17

- After the battles with trainer in Red cap, Giovanni continues his negotiation with President Silph. Eventually, the president gave in and hands Team Rocket what they want.

- Once receive their price, Team Rocket began to slowly dissipate from Silph Co. Headquarters, returning to their Hideout as if they were never here to begin with.

- To celebrate their victory, Giovanni held a party at their Hideout, giving a speech to his people saying that this is a huge step to their future.

- The protagonist, however, is in an awkward position. Being the one to "defeat" the trainer in Red cap, Giovanni makes the protagonist an honorable mention.

- Finally, Giovanni calls the protagonist onto the stage to gives Team Rocket an ending speech.

- Anxiety slowly crept in, the protagonist moves toward the mic and stand there awkwardly for a few seconds.

- On the far right, the protagonist could spot all 4 executives with Petrel and Proton snicking quietly with each other.

- Swallowing his nerve, the protagonist begins by introducing himself and what he likes.

- This got a few members to laugh at the protagonist's stuttering, the executives included.

- Not knowing what to say next, the protagonist awkwardly leaves the stage.

- Once out of the room, the protagonist finds himself a secluded place to calm himself down.

- Unlucky for the protagonist, Proton manages to find him and congratulate him for quite a show he put up there.

- The protagonist just gave Proton a fist, minus the middle finger.

- Proton then sat down next to the protagonist, asking the protagonist if he's feeling ok with genuine tone in his voice this time.

- The protagonist sigh and tells him that it could've been worse, slumping his shoulder against the wall.

- Proton nods and tell him that by the way, the boss wants to give the protagonist something. So he could just either tells him or the boss himself, his choice.

- The protagonist ponders for a while and asks if they have something called Life Orb.

- After the party, Giovanni announces to the rest of Team Rocket that they'll be getting a break since their next mission is going to be a giant leap for their future, they will need all of the energy they could get.

- Hearing that, the protagonist decides to take his leave and left the place early than everyone else.

- Petrel notices this and ask where does the protagonist going.

- The protagonist tells him that he's just going to visit some of his relatives.

- Fast forward many days later, the protagonist found himself walking toward Pewter City, his hometown, alongside Nidoking and his Eevee.

- Feeling the nostalgia, the protagonist settles down nearby a tree before he could enter the City.

- Reminiscing his past, the protagonist thought back at how it all begun. His encounter with Nidoran on Route 3, his first battle against Proton inside Mount Moon, an Eevee that happens to be his key to victory. It all felt so surreal now that he thinks about it.

- Petting Eevee, the protagonist smiles at the sight in front of him. If someone were to tell him that he will have a lovely companion in the future, he'd be laughing and mocking at that person.

- Speaking of companion, it is exactly why the protagonist is back here in Pewter City. To meet with his relatives, or more accurately, his family.

- Raising himself up, the protagonist resumes his walking until he reached the City and make his way toward his destination,

- Finally arrived at the place, the protagonist sat down and introduces his parent to both of his pokemon.

- In front of him is a 2 set of gravestones, sitting next to each other.

Chapter 18

- After leaving the Pokemart in Pewter City, the protagonist has bought himself a pokeball for his Eevee.

- In normal circumstances, the protagonist has no reason to buy stuffs from the Pokemart since Team Rocket have more than enough resources to always supply their grunts.

- Suddenly, a familiar voice calls out his name. The protagonist turns his head toward the sources to see a familiar face greeting him, Youngster Jim.

- The protagonist smiles and greets him back, asking what is he doing here.

- Youngster Jim then goes on and explain that apparently, using the same strategy over and over again bound to make the opponenet catches on and eventually, find a counter-strategy against it. So he decides to quit being trainer and goes back to his hometown in Viridian City.

- The protagonist encourages him that he could always try later when he at least has more than one strategy.

- Youngster Jim pouted and asked what about the protagonist, what is he doing here anyway.

- The protagonist tells him that he's here to meet with his family and introduces his pokemon to them. It goes smoothly than he originally thought.

- Nodding, youngster Jim then asks if the protagonist would like to tag along with him back to his hometown.

- Seeing as he's already done with his businesses here in Pewter City, the protagonist thought, why not.

- Moment afterward, both of the protagonist and youngster Jim left Pewter City and make their way toward Viridian Forest.

- Eventually, they manage to get out of Viridian Forest and spotted the City couple miles away.

- Youngster Jim run ahead while the protagonist slowly takes his time to catches up to him.

- Once reaches the City, youngster Jim make a comment at how much of a Slowpoke the protagonist is.

- The protagonist simply shrugs and scans his surrounding, until he notices a familiar spiky brown hairstyle in front of some random building.

- Calling out his name, the said person turns around and notices the protagonist, greeting him back.

- Youngster Jim then asks the protagonist if he know this guy, in which the protagonist introduces Youngster Jim, Blue Oak, Professor Oak's grandson.

- Youngster Jim is amazed by the fact that he's currently in front of the grandson of the famous Professor Oak.

- Blue laughs at youngster Jim's expression and asks what brought the protagonist here.

- The protagonist explains that he is just here to escort youngster Jim to his home safely, which got a betrayed look from youngster Jim.

- The protagonist then asks Blue what about him, what brought him here.

- Blue explains that he's actually here to collect his final badge but it seems like he has to go home and wait until the gym is finally open again.

- The protagonist asks if the building they're standing right in front of is the gym, since it looks abandoned for quite some time now.

- Out of nowhere, a voice from behind explain to them that because the gym leader actually abandoned this place.

- Turning around, the protagonist spotted the owner of the voice. Ariana, Team Rocket Executives, in her casual uniform.

- The protagonist asks her what is she doing here, which she responds that she could ask him the same thing.

- Ignoring the protagonist question, Ariana continues to explain that if they're here for their final badge, she would be willing to substitute for the gym leader since he was never actually here.

- Catching on, the protagonist asks if the boss was actually the eight gym leader, which Ariana nods in respond.

- Both the protagonist and Blue Oak was astonished by the information while youngster Jim remains unaware of the situation.

- Not believing her word, Blue asks Ariana how is it possible that the leader of Team Rocket is a gym leader.

- Ariana stares at Blue for a while until she sighs and tells him that she supposes he has the right to know about it.

- Unlocking the entrance to the gym, Ariana tells all 3 of them to come in make themselves comfortable since it's going to take a while.

- Reaching for the breaker, Ariana flips the switch, turning lights on, revealing the ruined state of the gym's interior.

- After that, she settles down and start telling them the story of how it all begun. The origin of Team Rocket.

Chapter 19

- Giovanni and Professor Oak used to go long way back. They were rivals since their childhood.

- Every time when they have a chance, Giovanni always challenges Samuel Oak into a battle, using his trusty Nidorino while Professor Oak uses his Gengar.

- Then one day, on their world first Indigo League Championship, both of Giovanni and Samuel Oak made their way to the final round, facing against each other.

- It was a battle to not be forgotten. Each attacks rock the entire audience, putting more and more pressure toward the challengers.

- But the sad truth remained. Only one of them came out victorious, and it's none other than Champion Samuel Oak while Giovanni was given the title of Gym Leader as the second place.

- Giovanni felt bitter by his defeat and left the gym for pursuit of strength.

- That's when Team Rocket was founded, with the ever growing influences and power, it is bound to catch the attention of Champion Oak.

- Eventually, Oak manages to break into one of their operations. However, he did not anticipate meeting with his old friend, much less the leader himself, Giovanni.

- Oak demanded an explanation. Giovanni simply tells him that this is the choice that he made. He chose the path that will give him strength, but he cannot do it alone, not without resources and manpower.

- Oak begs for his friend to stop this madness, but it was all far too late. Giovanni has already begun his secret weapon. Project Mewtwo.

- Oak was about to put a stop to it but couldn't bring himself to take down his best friend.

- Feeling guilty, Oak quit pokemon battle and eventually pursue his career as the pokemon researcher.

- Meanwhile Giovanni bought the mansion at Cinnabar Island from Gym Leader Blaine, continuing his Project.

- Finally, the project was a success. Mewtwo was created. It was a powerful pokemon, too powerful that they couldn't control and eventually, it broke out.

- Mewtwo's escape result in the destruction of the mansion, burning it down entirely, leaving Giovanni in devastation once again.

- Many years later, Team Rocket influences continue to grow and grow with Giovanni in charge.

- Then out of nowhere, Good news came knocking down on Team Rocket. There's been a sighting of Mewtwo near Cerulean City.

- Giovanni was ecstatic by the news and begin his preparation on capturing Mewtwo.

- That's when the protagonist comes into play. His role at Silph Co. managed to bring them one step closer to their goals.

- With their hands on the newly acquired Masterball, rumor of its capability to catch any pokemon without fail, Team Rocket will soon become one of the most powerful organizations on earth.

- After Ariana finishes her story, the protagonist, Blue Oak, and youngster Jim all stay in silents, trying to process all the information that were given to them.

- Eventually, Blue is the first one to break the silent. He asks Ariana why told them this.

- Ariana didn't answer right away. Instead, the protagonist was the one to answers the question for Blue.

- The protagonist tells him that because she knows it's not going to work.

- Youngster Jim asks the protagonist to elaborate, which the protagonist oblige by explaining to them that as Ariana previously stated, Mewtwo was too powerful. So even if Masterball did manage to capture the pokemon, it doesn't guarantee Mewtwo's loyalty.

- Finally connecting it all together, Blue realizes that Ariana is asking for their help to take down Mewtwo.

- Without hesitation, Blue gets up and walk toward the exit, signaling for the other to join him.

- Getting his message, the protagonist follows behind Blue. But the rest of the 2 remain on their seat.

- Ariana explains that while she did ask for their help, her loyalty still remain to Giovanni.

- As for youngster Jim, he explains to them that this is out of his league and apologizes for not coming with them.

- The protagonist reassures the youngster that it's fine and that they'll be back soon enough.

- Once outside, Blue calls out his Pidgeot. Both Blue and the protagonist hop on the pokemon's back and Fly toward Cerulean City.

Chapter 20

- Standing in front of the entrance to Cerulean Cave are 3 individuals, those of which being Blue and the protagonist.

- Cerulean Cave is rumor to be the home of the most vile and vicious pokemons, so it is natural to assume that Mewtwo might resides in there.

- However, Blue and the protagonist encounters a slight problem. An Indigo League Official is blocking their way from entering the cave.

- No matter how many times Blue brings up Professor Oak and him being the grandson of the former champion, the person just wouldn't budge.

- Running out of patience, the protagonist grabs the person by the throat and slam him against the wall, follows up with a strong punch in the guts, finally knocking him out.

- Blue was shocked by the protagonist sudden aggressiveness but quickly recovered.

- Afterward, both Blue and the protagonist make their way inside. Upon entering the cave, they were met with a body of water. Blue calls out his Blastoise to use Surf on the water. Both of them then hop on Blastoise's back and make their way deeper inside the cave.

- While searching for Mewtwo, they were bombarded by many of the wild pokemons. Be it Golbat, Parasect, Graveler, they weren't left undisturbed.

- Blue and the protagonist have to send out their pokemon to fend themselves while going deeper and deeper.

- Finally, they encounter what appears to be a platform in the middle of the lake. Standing in that platform is none other than Mewtwo, motionless with its eyes close.

- Both of Blue and the protagonist hop off Blastoise. Immediately after their feet touch the platform, Mewtwo snaps its eyes open and roar out a battle cry.

- Without hesitation, the protagonist sends out Nidoking while Blue's Blastoise get into his fighting stance.

- Blue orders Blastoise to use Hydro Pump while the protagonist orders Nidoking to use Thunderbolt.

- Both attacks fuse with each other, launching toward Mewtwo, landing a straight hit on the pokemon.

- Mewtwo manages to block the attack and heals its injuries using Recover.

- Mewtwo then create a swirling pink orb on his right palm, aiming toward the direction of its opponent and fire Psystrike towards them.

- Nidoking was lucky and manage to dodge the attack just the nick of time but Blastoise weren't as lucky and took the attack head on, resulting in a 1 hit KO.

- Blue calls back Blastoise and sends out his second pokemon, Pidgeot.

- The protagonist orders Nidoking to keep using Thunderbolt while Blue orders Pidgeot to use Fly.

- Again, Mewtwo blocks the attack and use Recover to heal its injuries. After a while, Pidgeot dive down and use Fly toward Mewtwo. But then the unexpected happen.

- As soon as Pidgeot was close enough, Mewtwo grabs Pidgeot by its throat and uses the pokemon as a shield to blocks Nidoking;s Thunderbolt while rushing toward Nidoking, throwing Pidgeot at him, causing both of the pokemon to hit against the nearby boulder.

- Both trainers watch as their pokemon get demolish Mewtwo. Eventually, Nidoking raises himself up but Pidgeot remain unconscious.

- Blue makes note at how they can't get too close to Mewtwo, so no contact move. Meaning that they'll have to stick to their range attack only.

- Nodding, the protagonist then orders Nidoking to continue using Thunderbolt while Blue send out Rhydon and orders Rhydon to uses Rock Tomb.

- Following their orders, Both Nidoking and Rhydon attack Mewtwo with their respective move.

- While Nidoking attacks Mewtwo aggressively, Rhydon attacks Mewtwo with a pattern, trapping Mewtwo in the process.

- The protagonist notices this and turns toward Blue sending him a signal.

- Getting his message, the protagonist waits for their right moment to send out their coordinate attacks.

- Once Mewtwo is trapped, the protagonist immediately orders Nidoking to use Earth Power, hitting Mewtwo from beneath the tomb of rock.

- Thanks to Life Orb's power boost, Mewtwo suffers greatly from the attack.

- Once the dust dissipated, Blue quickly throws an Ultraball toward the injured pokemon.

- Ultraball manages to land and on Mewtwo, but not long after, Mewtwo breaks out of an Ultraball and release a loud battle cry.

- Mewtwo then charges an Aura Sphere and fires it toward Rhydon, but not before Nidoking manages to push Rhydon away and take the attack for him instead.

- Thanks to Nidoking's poison type advantage, Nidoking is able to tank an Aura Sphere without much damage.

- Finally irritated, Mewtwo uses its psychic power to lift Nidoking up and use its other hand to charges up Psystrike and fires it toward Nidoking.

- With no way to escape, Nidoking gets hit by a full power Psystrike, knocking him out instantly.

- Dropping Nidoking onto the ground, Mewtwo shifts its focus to Rhydon and prepares to continue the battle.

- Recalling Nidoking back to his pokeball, the protagonist then takes out another pokeball from his belt pocket, considering whether or not to sends out his Eevee.

- Deciding against it, the protagonist sit back and watches as Blue continue his battle against Mewtwo.

- From the protagonist's perspective, it was obvious that Mewtwo is going to win this battle without question.

- Just as the protagonist's pocketing Eevee's pokeball away, his hand then hits against something spherical inside his belt pocket

- Pulling it out, the protagonist is shocked by the shape of the object in his hand.

- It was the same sizes as the pokeball but instead of a red cap, it has a purple cap with 2 magenta circles on its side. Above its button, is a white letter "M".

- With his trembling hand, the protagonist is now holding the most powerful capture ball on earth, the Masterball.

- Tightening his grips, the protagonist realizes what he has to do. He gets up and rushes toward the ongoing battlefield.

- Sending his last pokemon, Alakazam, Blue is now on his final stand against Mewtwo.

- The protagonist approaches Blue and tells his plan to him. Blue responds with a nod and orders his Alakazam to use Psychic on Mewtwo.

- Mewtwo get hits by Alakzam Psychic, limiting his movement. While the attack doesn't deal much damage to Mewtwo, it was enough for the protagonist to throws the Masterball at Mewtwo.

- Mewtwo notices an object coming towards it and tries to swipe Masterball away but it was too alte.

- Masterball manages to land on Mewtwo and capture him. After a few second of Masterball shaking and the protagonist praying, a click sound appears, confirming that Mewtwo has been captured.

- The protagonist quickly rushes to grab the Masterball, celebrating their successful capture with Blue.

- But all that celebration has to come to an end when they suddenly hear a slow clap coming from behind them.

- Turning around, both trainers were surprised to see it was none other than Giovanni, the leader of Team Rocket himself.

- Giovanni congratulates the protagonist for finally capturing Mewtwo and asks him for the Masterball

- The protagonist looks behind Giovanni to spots all 4 of the executives, waiting for the protagonist to make his move.

- Realization struck, the protagonist asks if all of this was planned.

- "Perhaps" Giovanni responds. He then asks the protagonist for the Masterball again.

- The protagonist stares at the Masterball in his hand for a while until he makes his decision and refuses to give the Masterball to Giovanni.

- Frowning, Giovanni sigh and expresses his disappointment toward the protagonist.

- He then tells the protagonist to prepare himself for a world of pain as he draws out his pokeball and sends out Rhydon.

Chapter 21

- Taken aback by the sudden appearance of Rhydon, the protagonist quickly recovered and sends out his Eevee.

- As the protagonist turn his head around to ask for Blue's help, he notices that Blue is already gone. Probably used Alakazam to teleport away.

- Internally cursing, the protagonist then takes his focus back onto the battle.

- Giovanni orders his Rhydon to use Rock Slide as the protagonist orders his Eevee to use Iron Tail.

- Dodging the falling rock, Eevee slowly makes his way toward Rhydon while hardening his tail.

- Once Eevee got close, Giovanni immediately orders his Rhydon to use Horn Attack.

- Both attacks collide, causing the 2 of the pokemon bouncing off each other. Not wanting to let Rhydon recovers, the protagonist quickly orders Eevee to use Quick Attack.

- Getting on his feet, Eevee rushes toward the pokemon while Rhydon is unaware of the incoming Quick Attack.

- Unexpectedly hit by Quick Attack, Rhydon stumble back a bit but quick to recover on his feet.

- Giovanni then orders Rhydon to use Earthquake. Eyes widen, the protagonist yells at his Eevee to get on the high ground.

- Immediately follows order, Eevee jumps on the nearby boulder, barely manage to avoid Earthquake.

- Once the attack subsides, the protagonist orders Eevee to attacks Rhydon again, using Iron Tail.

- Giovanni retaliates by ordering Rhydon to counter with Horn Attack. Both attacks clash, pushing against each other.

- Having an upper strength, Rhydon slowly overpowers Eevee, pushing the pokemon back against the boulder.

- Just as Eevee was almost against wall, the protagonist yells at Eevee's chance and to do it.

- Instantly, Eevee pulls a fake out and steer the attack towards the wall, causing Rhydon's horn to get stuck in the boulder.

- As Rhydon tries to pull its horn out of the boulder, Eevee uses Headbutt on one of Rhydon's leg, causing his to slip and hit his chin against the boulder.

- Not wanting to let go of their opportunity, the protagonist orders Eevee to hit Rhydon with a barrage of Iron Tail.

- Eevee gladly obliges and start attacking Rhydon with Iron Tail.

- Getting irritated, Rhydon gives up on trying to get his horn out and instead, uses both of his arm to lift the boulder up.

- However, all that does is gaining a grin from both the protagonist and Eevee as he orders Eevee to slip him up.

- Eevee then uses Headbutt on one of Rhydon's leg, causing him to slip and fall back against the floor, making a loud thud.

- Finally, the protagonist orders Eevee to end this, which Eevee did by charging up his Last Resort and sprints toward Rhydon's private area.

- What follow next is the most unprideful noise you could ever hear from Rhydon.

- Recalling Rhydon back, Giovanni has to resist the urge and sends out his next pokemon, Dugtrio.

- Giovanni orders Dugtrio to use Dig, causing the pokemon to dives into the ground.

- Telling Eevee to watch out for the attack, Eevee scans the area for the incoming pokemon.

- Unfortunately, the said pokemon appears from beneath Eevee, completely catching him off guard.

- Dugtrio then proceeds to use Slash on Eevee multiple times. Don't ask me how they did it without a hand, I don't know.

- After a few struggles, Eevee manages to get away from Dugtrio onslaught. But the damage was already done. Eevee has greatly suffered from the attack.

- The protagonist asks if Eevee can keep going, in which Eevee responds with a battle cry.

- With another order from Giovanni, Dugtrio proceeds to dive into the ground once again. This time however, Eevee is prepared for what's coming.

- After waiting for a while, the ground beneath Eevee starts to crack. Eevee manages to jump away just in time to use Iron Tail as Dugtrio slowly make his way up.

- But then the attack misses and Dugtrio dives back into the ground, repeating the process.

- After a few games of Dig and Iron Tail, both pokemon starting to tire themselves out.

- The protagonist tries to think of a way to come out victorious in this battle. Slowly, a plan starts to formulate in his head.

- With a plan in mind, the protagonist orders Eevee to stand on one of the boulders and wait for his instruction.

- Following order, Eevee proceeds to jump on one of the boulders and stand there, waiting for Dugtrio to attack.

- Eventually, the boulder beneath Eevee starts to crack, revealing a head of Dugtrio. As Eevee jump away, the protagonist quickly orders Eevee to use Iron Tail on the boulder, cutting Dugtrio's access to the ground.

- Instantly, the boulder was cut into 2 pieces, leaving Dugtrio with eyes widen before Eevee could have a chance to smirk at Dugtrio's expression.

- The protagonist follows up by ordering Eevee to not let Dugtrio hits the ground, getting an ecstatic expression from Eevee.

- Eevee then proceeds to bounce Dugtrio around in the air, using a combination of Headbutt and Iron Tail to play around with Dugtrio for a while.

- Having enough fun, the protagonist orders Eevee to finish him off. As per order, Eevee bounce Dugtrio up in the air one last time before slamming Iron Tail toward the pokemon, getting a knock out.

- Recalling Dugtrio, Giovanni is now on his last pokemon. Sending it out , the pokemon reveals itself to be none other than Nidoking. Presumably, Giovanni's starter pokemon.

- Preparing himself, Nidoking roars out his battle cry, slightly intimidated Eevee by a bit.

- Both pokemon stare down at each other, ready themselves for their final showdown.

- Wanting to catch the opponent off guard, the protagonist is the first one to orders Eevee to attack Nidoking, using Quick Attack.

- Retaliate, Giovanni orders Nidoking to counter Eevee with Horn Attack.

- The attacks clash against each other with Nidoking overpowers Eevee by a lot.

- Eevee has to take a step back to recover from the pure pressure Nidoking puts on him.

- Realizing that this will be one tough battle, the protagonist orders Eevee to go for Last Resort, deal as much damage as possible.

- Giovanni doesn't order Nidoking to do anything. Instead, he just let Nidoking stand there to take the full attack from Eevee.

- Once the attack connects, Nidoking barely even budge from where he stands. Immediately after, Giovanni orders Nidoking to use Double Kick on Eevee.

- Smirking, Nidoking uses one of his legs to kick Eevee straight into the gut, making Eevee whimpers. He then uses another leg to kick Eevee away, throwing him toward the protagonist.

- The protagonist caught Eevee mid-air, causing him to fall on his back due to the impact. Raising his head, the protagonist saw Eevee coughing violently, spitting some of his blood.

- Fearing for his pokemon, the protagonist tells Eevee that he did his best and he should rest.

- However, Eevee refuses to give up and jump back onto the battlefield, leg wobbling. The protagonist then begs for Eevee to stop and that it is enough.

- Grabbing his Masterball from the belt pocket, the protagonist stares at the object in his hand for a while before making his decision.

- Just as the protagonist was about to sends out Mewtwo, Eevee yells at the protagonist, snarling at him as if he was trying to send a message that "Don't you dare send out that pokemon".

- Realizing that arguing would be futile, the protagonist lets Eevee continue the battle, hoping for the best outcome.

- Ordering Eevee to use Last Resort one more time, Eevee charges foward while Nidoking charges back with his Horn Attack.

- Both attacks clash again, with Nidoking still overpowers Eevee, pushing the pokemon back toward the edge of the platform.

- Eevee eyes off the opponent for a moment and take a quick glance at the protagonist to notices his defeated expression.

- Not wanting to disappoint his trainer, Eevee pulls out every last bit of strength and begin his struggle against Nidoking, preventing him from falling of the edge.

- Surprised by the sudden change of strength, Nidoking decides to put more effort into his attacks, slowly overpower Eevee once again.

- Noticing Eevee's effort, the protagonist starts holding onto the strand of hope and yells at Eevee to do his best.

- As if that yell was the miracle call, Eevee's appearance begins to change, shrouding in white light, slowly pushing back against Nidoking.

- Eventually, Eevee roars out a battle cry, causing Nidoking to stumble back while white light completely engulfs Eevee.

- Once the light dissipates away, what's left of Eevee is now a bigger version of the pokemon with pink fur instead of brown. On his forehead is a red orb between his 2 set of purple eyes and a slenderer body. Finally, all of the fluffy fur is gone, replaced with a short but smooth fur.

- Evolving from Eevee into Espeon, Espeon begin lifting Nidoking up, using it psychic power before droping the pokemon onto the ground.

- Shaking his head, Nidoking begins charging toward Espeon with Horn Attack. Thanks to the evolution, Espeon manage to easily dodge the attack with his newly gain speed.

- Immediately, Eevee hits the back of Nidoking's head with his Iron Tail, resulting in Nidoking land face first onto the ground.

- Getting angry, Nidoking roars out and charges toward Espeon with Megahorn.

- Espeon then shrouded himself in white light, preparing Last Resort.

- Once the attack is ready, Espeon charges toward Nidoking full force, clashing against the opposing pokemon.

- Despite his evolution, Nidoking still has the upper hand in term of strength, slowly overpowers Espeon little by little.

- But Espeon has more than one trick up his sleeve. Using his psychic power, Espeon reduces the weight of Nidoking little by little, making Nidoking lighter and lighter without him noticing.

- Eventually, Nidoking lost his footing and slips, giving Espeon a chance to lifts him up and pushes Nidoking toward the edge.

- Rushing forward, Espeon throws Nidoking off the platform, making him landing straight into the water.

- After a while, Nidoking slowly floats up the body of water, unconscious.

- Seeing the result of the battle, the protagonist celebrates his victory with Espeon. However, Espeon got a little bit carried away and bite the protagonist finger, making him yelp and curses out loudly.

- Watching the scene unfold in front of him, Giovanni can't help but laugh out loud at the funny sight, making both of them stop to watch the leader of Team Rocket.

- After calming himself down, Giovanni congratulates the protagonist for real this time and tells him that he made the right choice for choosing him as his successor.

- Confused, the protagonist asks what does he mean by that, which Giovanni explains that when he first meets him, the protagonist shows a familiar resemblance to someone Giovanni knows. Now, he realizes that resemblance is none other than his past self, full of youth and determination, which is why he's going to give his entire organization to him.

- Shocked by the sudden revelation, the protagonist stumbles back and asks if he was sure since the protagonist doesn't think he has what it takes to rule Team Rocket.

- Giovanni instead calls it nonsense and the fact that the protagonist beat him without using Mewtwo is enough proof of his worth.

- Offering him a hand, Giovanni asks if the protagonist would like to take his mantle as the leader of Team Rocket.

- The protagonist was at lost of word, he slowly tries to process all the information that was just given to him.

- Eventually, the protagonist makes his decision and humbly rejects the offer, saying that he'd like to enjoy his time as a grunt before he could move further up the rank.

- Sighing, Giovanni then tells the protagonist that the offer still stands and that until he makes that decision, Archer is going to be in charge of Team Rocket while he retires.

- Once finished, Giovanni and the rest of the executives proceed to make their way out of the cave, leaving the protagonist alone on the platform.

- Realizing that he has no way out, the protagonist starts to think of a way to get out of this cave.

- As per call to his problem, Blue appears out of nowhere and profusely apologize for leaving the protagonist since he was planning on coming back once his pokemon was heal but didn't expect it to take this long.

- Accepting his apology, Blue calls out his Alakazam and order him to use Teleport. Both trainers then leave this cave once and for all.

Giovanni's Nidoking got replaced with Nidoqueen and he did not die in the original draft. The ending in the official fanfiction is way more drastically different than the draft version. I intentionally change it for a cliffhanger so that it would leave more room to imagine. (Also, I forgot that Nidoqueen is still out there when Ariana shot Giovanni. My bad.)

Epilogue

- Many weeks have passed since the event at Cerulean cave, the protagonist stares at the Masterball in his hand, thinking on what to do with Mewtwo.

- Suddenly, Espeon nudges his head against the protagonist's side to comfort him, gaining a small smile from the protagonist.

- Deciding that he could think about it later, the protagonist pockets Masterball away and leaves his room.

- Making his way toward the Hideout, the protagonist is greeted by many of the grunts that recognize and respect him, despite that their rank is the same.

- After a while, Proton calls out the protagonist's name, saying that the boss wants to talk to him.

- Noticing the strain in Proton's voice when he says, "the boss", the protagonist comments at how Proton is still getting used to calling Archer by his new title.

- Scoff at the protagonist's comment, Proton orders the protagonist to hurry up and both of them walks toward the boss office.

- Once inside, they were meet with many familiar faces. Petrel, Archer, Ariana, and youngster Jim, their newest recruit.

- Youngster Jim greets the protagonist which he kindly responds back to him.

- Once everyone is here, Archer then begins the meeting by saying at how Team Rocket could grow even further by spreading their influence on their neighboring region, Johto.

- Proton makes a comment at how good of the idea that is and asks how are they going to do it.

- Archer explains to them that they're going to travel to Johto with their selected members and build up the foundation before slowly connecting the bridge back to Kanto. The process, however, could take years.

- Noticing a slight problem, Petrel comments at how are they going to manage Kanto while all of them were at Johto.

- Immediately, Archer looks at the protagonist which the protagonist quickly realizes and give him a huge NO.

- Proton says that's actually a good idea since the protagonist has already established a good relationship with the members and quite a few of them actually respect him.

- The protagonist is still denying it. Ariana then tells the protagonist that either he joins them at Johto or he stays here, managing Kanto.

- Getting an ultimatum from Ariana, the protagonist slumps his head in defeat and tell them that he'll do it.

- "Great!" said Proton before telling the protagonist to go and prepare his speech since they're going to have to announce the news in the next hour.

- The protagonist responds with a loud WHAT before realizing that he just got tricked by the executives.

- An hour has passed, and the protagonist is standing in front of the podium, mic in front of him.

- The protagonist then begins his speech with how some of them might already know who he is while the other might not. Some of which that hate him and some of which that respect him. Regardless of that, he's here to announce that he's going to be the one to manage Team Rocket from now on.

- Once done with his speech, the protagonist gives order to the rest of Team Rocket to dismiss and get back to work before leaving the stage, going back to his room for his alone time.

- The End.

Epilogue never happened and the sequel was intended to continue at Johto, not Sevii Islands.

And that's basically it. If anyone have a question, feel free to leave a comment or ask me via Private Message (PM). With that out of the way, I'll have to write a new draft for Sevii Scavenger so don't expect an upload anytime soon.
