Hours had passed and now the gang was gathered with the committee members in a small meeting to make the kingdom's decisions. Esteban was reluctant to have outside committee members present at an important meeting, but Elena countered this by saying that it was okay for them to know and due to the support he received from the other members, Esteban had no choice but to accept it.

For the gang, that was like a meeting where the grown-ups were making decisions regarding the Great Valley and so on, so they were used to all the talk they were having, especially considering they didn't understand half of it.

"So, with this whole issue settled, I call this committee meeting to a close." said Elena before banging the gavel in a sign of completion.

After that, everyone got up to continue with their chores.

"Well, how did you like your first committee meeting?" asked Elena.

"Well, they're not so different from the ones the grown-ups have." said Littlefoot.

"The only difference is that at least we understand the things they say." said Cera.

"It's because we're dinosaurs and we understand dinosaur things, but we don't understand human things because we're not human." said Ruby.

"I guess that's true." said Elena with a shrug.

Suddenly, before anyone else could say anything, Armando suddenly entered the room.

"Princess, we have an emergency!" exclaimed Armando urgently.

"What's wrong?" asked Elena.

"There's a fire in the palace grounds!" exclaimed Armando.

"WHAT?" asked everyone present before heading to the window to see what it was about and gasped as soon as they saw it.

In some parts of the palace it was burning with fire, but it was not just any fire. It was a dark purple fire.

"I've never seen a fire like that before. No, no, no." said Ducky.

"Oh, no." said Elena in horror, as she knew the source of that fire.

"What is it, Elena?" asked Littlefoot.

"That's not normal fire. It's Shuriki!" said Elena.

"Shuriki? The witch who took over Avalor and you defeated, but came back with a magic scepter similar to yours?" asked Chomper, since they had told him and the others the story of the witch.

"She here?" asked Petrie beginning to panic.

"Looks like she's decided to act sooner than expected." commented Naomi.

"Armando, alert the entire Royal Guard and put out those fires! Naomi and I will take care of Shuriki." stated Elena pulling out her scepter.

"Should we warn Gabriel and Mateo?" asked Naomi.

"Surely they must have heard about the situation and are on their way. Let's go." said Elena.

"Wait, I wanna help." said Littlefoot.

"No, Littlefoot. You better stay here." said Elena.

"She's right. This is nothing like those sharpteeth you faced. She's a powerful witch." said Naomi backing up her best friend.

"Grandpa, Grandma, take them to Isabel's room. You'll be safe there." said Elena.

"Count on us." said Francisco.

"Be careful, dear." said Luisa.

"I will." said Elena before she and her friend left the room.

Littlefoot felt a little bad, as he wanted to help her, but he had to admit she was right. He and his friends faced fearsome predators and the odd natural disaster, but they had never faced an enemy that knew how to use magic.

The only thing he could do for the moment was to listen to her and go to a safe area.

Elena and Naomi were running through the corridors intending to get to the entrance as soon as possible and intercept Shuriki and her allies.

"Naomi, I'll take the main section, you take the east section!" said Elena.

"Copy that." said Naomi before running off in another direction, leaving the crown princess alone.

A few seconds later, Elena arrived at the main entrance just as an explosion burst open the door, causing it to stop.

Out of the smoke caused by the explosion, emerged Avalor's public enemy number one, the person who killed the king and queen of Avalor and ruled with tyranny.

"So we meet again, princess Elena, for the last time." said Shuriki with an evil grin.

"I don't think so, Shuriki." said Elena.

"Blaze! / Inferno!" shouted the two quickly casting their spells that collided with each other, causing an explosion that would symbolize the beginning of the battle.

In another part of the castle, Gabriel was running with the intention of making sure the crown princess was safe, as he recognized at first who was the cause of the fire.

However, he heard a voice off to the side and quickly backed away in time to dodge a magical shot. He drew his sword and turned to the side to see Victor Delgado.

"Oops. I missed. I'll have to make sure I don't do that again." said Victor.

"Victor Delgado, I order you to surrender right now." demanded Gabriel.

"Make me." said Victor preparing his tamborita to cast another spell, but suddenly, Naomi came in from the side and gave him a flying kick that sent him backwards.

"Looks like I got there in time." said Naomi.

"I could have taken care of that." said Gabriel.

"Sure." said Naomi.

The two friends stopped their conversation when they heard a groan and turned to the front to see Victor getting up.

"Two against one, huh? And then they say I'm the cheater." said Victor getting ready to fight.

Mateo rushed out of his workshop as soon as he heard the commotion from the fire and, knowing what might be going on, set off to help his friend in the fight against the witch.

Suddenly, he noticed out of the corner of his eye an incoming spell and quickly cast his own which collided with the spell, neutralizing each other.

Having stopped, he was able to discover that the one who cast the spell was Carla Delgado.

"Carla? Where's Fiero?" asked Mateo wondering why his evil nemesis didn't show up.

"He's a bit busy at the moment. So I'll be the one to take care of you." said Carla preparing to cast spells just like Mateo.

Skylar, Luna and Migs were flying full speed toward the palace to help their friends.

"Keep your eyes peeled. We don't know what we may encounter." said Migs.

It was then that Luna spotted an incoming object.

"Look out!" shouted Luna causing them to stop in time to avoid the incoming object, which was soon after placed in front of them, revealing itself to be Cruz.

"Cruz!" growled Skylar at the sight of the traitorous jaquin.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't Avalor's pets!" said Cruz.

"You're crazy if you think you can stop us by yourself." said Skylar.

"You're right." said Vesta placing herself next to her brother. "That's why I'm here."

The Jaquins prepared for aerial combat over the burning palace.

The grandparents, Esteban and the gang walked quickly through the corridors to get to Isabel's room where they would be hidden until the situation was over.

Even though he had decided to listen to his friend, Littlefoot couldn't get the idea that she might be in danger out of his head. It might be too dangerous, but he couldn't leave his friend behind.

With an expression of determination, he turned around and started running in the opposite direction.

"Littlefoot, where are you going?" asked Cera.

"I'm going to help Elena!" said Littlefoot, stopping halfway.

"Little one, I know you're worried about Elena, but we have to trust her." said Francisco.

"I know, but I can't stand by while she's facing that witch. I'm going to help her whether she want to or not." said Littlefoot decisively before resuming his walk.

The gang looked at each other, having a visual debate on what to do about their friend's decision.

"Let's go." said Cera as she and the others followed the longneck.

"Wait, kids." said Luisa.

"Didn't your parents teach you not to throw yourselves into danger?" asked Esteban.

"Yes they do, but we seldom heed them." said Chomper.

"If we did, we wouldn't be here. No, no, no." said Ducky.

The two grandparents and the chancellor stood there looking in the direction the gang was going, praying they wouldn't get hurt or worse.

"I have to hand it to them. Those kids have guts." said Francisco.

"I know, but that doesn't stop me from worrying." said Luisa.

"To my surprise, so am I." said Esteban.

Mateo and Carla were engaged in a magic duel. Although Carla was bad for a short time, she was demonstrating certainty in magic.

Every time they cast spells at each other, they either countered them with other spells or dodged them, making the fight go on for quite a while.

Needless to say, Carla was starting to get frustrated with the length of the fight.

"Ugh. Why don't you just stand still already?" asked Carla before casting another spell.

"Because if I did, you'd hit me and that's something I don't want." said Mateo dodging another enemy spell before casting his own, managing to hit Carla who got up shortly after.

She was about to cast another one on him when an idea flashed through her head. With a grin, she cast a spell, but instead of shooting it at the royal wizard directly, she shot at his side.

Mateo was caught off guard by it and by not darting to the side, the resulting explosion forced him to cover his eyesight, which Carla took advantage of to cast another spell at him and knock him down, causing his tamborita to move a little away from him.

"Ha. I can't wait to tell everyone that I defeated the royal wizard of Avalor. Maybe Shuriki will give me a reward." said Carla.

Mateo stretched his arm out to reach for his tamborita without taking his eyes off the malvaga who was preparing to cast a final spell, but then...

"AAHH!" cried Carla as she felt a huge pain in her butt.

She quickly turned her head to discover that the cause was a bite from Chomper who soon separated from her.

"But what...?" asked Carla confused by the creature.

"Blegh. Humans taste funny." commented Chomper spitting a little.

"What in the world...?" asked Carla.

"You shouldn't lose sight of a fight." said Ruby approaching the malvaga from behind and hitting her, knocking her down in the process.

"Chomper? Ruby? What are you doing here?" asked Mateo having retrieved his tamborita and getting up.

"We came to help you." said Chomper.

"You can't be here. It's dangerous." said Mateo.

"Maybe, but we don't leave any friends behind and since you're our friend we're not going to leave you behind." said Ruby.

Just then, Carla stood up and turned to shoot them an angry glare.

"You nasty vermin. You'll pay for this!" said Carla.

Seeing that now wasn't the time to talk, the three of them prepared for a fight.

The jaquins were engaged in an aerial battle. The three good jaquins were flying back and forth to hit the two bad jaquins, but they proved to be agile and fast enough to dodge them all the time, and the same was true when the opposite happened.

By the time they stopped, the good jaquins were showing to be a little more tired than the bad ones.

"Is that all the jaquins of Avalor have?" asked Cruz.

"We certainly did well to switch sides." said Vesta.

"You won't get away with this." said Migs.

"Yes. We still have plenty of energy." said Luna.

"Yeah, I'd like to see it." said Vesta before she felt a peck on her back. "Ouch! What was that?" asked Vesta looking around.

"What was what?" asked Cruz before feeling another peck on his back. "Ow! What was that?" asked Cruz turning around looking for the cause of the peck.

To everyone's surprise, Petrie was flying glued to his back. Vesta, realizing the cause, growled at the flyer, and tried to hit him, but he quickly moved out of the way, causing her to end up hitting her brother.

"Hey! Why did you do that?" asked Cruz before hitting his sister.

"Don't hit me." said Vesta before hitting her brother.

"Don't you hit me." said Cruz before the two evil jaquins started fighting each other.

As the two siblings fought, Petrie met up with the good jaquins.

"I gotta hand it to you, little pal, that was fun." said Skylar laughing a little at the siblings' predicament.

"Petrie, you shouldn't be here." said Migs in a serious manner.

"Me know, but me wanna help flyer friends." said Petrie.

"It might be for the best. Listen, guys, I have a plan and our dear dinosaur friend is the key." said Luna, much to the confusion of the other jaquins and especially the flyer.

As Luna went about telling them the plan, the two siblings continued their childish discussion.

"Wait. Can't you see? We've been tricked!" said Vesta.

"Yikes. Now they've really made me mad!" said Cruz before the two siblings turned their gaze to the three jaquins and the flyer.

"Understood?" asked Luna having finished explaining her plan, receiving a nod from the others.

"I hope you are ready, because we're going all out." said Skylar.

Victor was all the time throwing spells at the two teenagers who were quickly dodging all of them. On one occasion, Gabriel came at him quickly to hit him with his sword, but he blocked it with his tamborita before pushing him away from him.

Naomi tried to catch him with her rope, but it only grabbed one arm and Victor took advantage of that to pull her in and send her crashing into her friend, knocking them both down.

"You know? I'm feeling generous today, so I'll finish you both off at the same time." said Victor preparing to cast another spell, but then... he burst out laughing, but it wasn't the typical villain's laugh when he thinks he has the victory, but one of childish amusement.

The malvago began to stir a bit, causing the two teenagers to look very confused as they stood up. By the time Victor turned around, the two let out a small gasp when they saw Ducky clinging to his back as she tickled him.

"Ducky, get out of the way!" the two teens turned their heads to the side to see Cera running straight at the malvago.

Ducky jumped off of him just before Cera hit Victor with her head, and because Spike had gotten behind his legs, the malvago ended up knocked down.

"Kids? What are you doing here?" asked Gabriel.

"We came to help you fight that guy. Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky.

Spike nodded in response.

"No way we were going to let you get all the action." said Cera with a smile.

Then, the four of them heard a groan and turned their gaze to the source to see Victor getting up.

"We'll talk about this later." said Naomi as she and the others prepared to fight, as did the malvago who glared at them angrily.

While these fights were going on outside the palace, the most important of all was happening inside.

Elena was continuously casting spells at the witch while dodging the spells she was casting at her and the same was happening for Shuriki's side.

"Glow!" shouted Elena causing her scepter to emit such a bright light that it forced Shuriki to cover her eyes, something she took advantage of. "Blaze!" shouted Elena shooting a sphere of light that hit the witch, sending her crashing into a wall.

Shuriki got up with a groan that turned into a growl directed at the crown princess.

"Inferno!" shouted Shuriki launching a sphere of darkness that Elena dodged, but the explosion caused when it hit the ground was so powerful that it pushed her a little to the point where she almost fell. "In case you didn't know, princess, I'm not the same as I was before. I'm stronger and more powerful now."

"That may be true, but you're still just as naive to think I'll let you hurt more people." said Elena with a defiant look, receiving a smile from the witch.

"Well, that has an easy solution. Inferno!" shouted Shuriki throwing another sphere of darkness.

"Blaze!" shouted Elena throwing a sphere of light that impacted against the sphere of darkness.

However, the sphere of darkness turned out to be larger than the sphere of light and ended up engulfing it before impacting against the princess, knocking her down in the process.

Elena gripped her scepter tightly and was about to get up when she found the tip of the scepter of night inches from her face as Shuriki glared superiorly at her.

"As I said, this will be the last time." said Shuriki.

Elena began to hurriedly think of a way to get out of that situation quickly, but before she uttered some spell to save herself...

"NOOO!" suddenly, Shuriki was pushed aside by Littlefoot, knocking her down in the process.

"Littlefoot?!" exclaimed Elena in surprise.

"Are you okay, Elena?" asked Littlefoot turning to her.

"Forget about me! What are you doing here! I asked you to stay back!" said Elena with concern and seriousness.

"I couldn't stand by knowing you were facing that witch." said Littlefoot.

"This is too dangerous. Get out of here." said Elena as she stood up.

"I won't. I plan to help you whether you want it or not." said Littlefoot with determination.

Elena was a little surprised by the longneck's determination even though he knew he was going up against a powerful witch.

At that moment, a groan caught their attention and the two turned to see Shuriki who shot a withering glare at the crown princess and the dinosaur.

"I don't know where you came from, but stay out of my way." said Shuriki.

"I won't let you hurt her, you evil witch." said Littlefoot with a scowl.

"And I won't let you hurt him." said Elena raising her scepter.

"Very well. In that case, I'll finish with you both off." said Shuriki raising her scepter and preparing for the fight.

Carla was feeling very frustrated, as she was now facing the royal wizard and a couple of strange creatures that suddenly appeared to help him. She continuously cast spells with the intention of hitting them, but the dinosaurs were able to dodge each one.

Of course, Mateo took advantage of these moments of distraction to try to hit her with his spells, but she either dodged them or blocked them with spells of her own.

Because she was distracted by the royal wizard, Chomper threw a stone at her with his tail, hitting her in the head and getting her attention.

"Nasty vermin." said Carla before casting a spell at the sharptooth, but he dodged it, the same as other spells she kept throwing at him.

"Mateo!" said Ruby getting the royal wizard's attention. "Use that spell you showed us on me."

Mateo found that request odd, but after analyzing the situation, he knew that was what she was planning.

"Levalu!" shouted Mateo shooting the fast runner a spell that made her rise in the air and moving as if she was swimming, Ruby stood over Carla who was still shooting spells at the sharptooth, who realized what his friend was going to do.

"You know? You should be more careful." said Chomper.

"With what? With not missing finishing you off?" asked Carla angrily.

"No, with what might fall on you." said Ruby as the spell's effect wore off and she fell downward with her legs stretched out straight down.

Carla turned her head quickly, but couldn't react in time and ended up with a kick to the face that knocked her down for good.

"Yes, we did it." said Chomper.

"I admit, you helped me out quite a bit." said Mateo approaching them.

"Of course. Situations usually go better when you have friends nearby and since we, who are your friends, were nearby, the situation was better." said Ruby.

"So what do we do with her now?" asked Chomper pointing to the downed malvaga.

"For now, let's tie her up and watch her until the guards arrive. Then we'll go help the others." suggested Mateo receiving a nod from the two dinosaurs.

In the air, the jaquins and the flyer were still in their aerial combat with the same scenario as before, with each side trying to hit the other, only to be dodged.

"Weren't you going all out? You are starting to bore me." said Cruz.

"We're not done yet." said Skylar flying straight at him, but the bad jaquin dodged him.

The next instant, however, Petrie quickly flew up to hover over his head and began pecking at him. Cruz tried to swipe at him with his paws, but Petrie dodged it before starting to fly around his body as the jaquin tried to follow him with his eyes and swipe at him, but couldn't due to his speed and size.

"Stop moving you little winged rat!" said Cruz starting to get frustrated.

"Okay, if you want that." said Petrie stopping a couple of feet above him.

Cruz was directing his gaze towards him and, without hesitation, was about to attack him when suddenly Skylar lunged towards him and hit him like a missile, sending him flying several feet backwards.

"Ha. Take that." said Skylar.

"Now start second part of plan." said Petrie.

"Then don't waste your time." said Skylar before the flyer quickly left to help the others.

Migs and Luna were several meters apart fighting Vesta, but despite being two against one, the bad jaquin proved to be very agile and quick to dodge all the attempts of the two good jaquins to hit her.

"How long do we have to keep that up?" asked Migs in a low voice so she couldn't hear them.

"Until our reinforcement arrives." said Luna.

"What's the matter guys? Too old to go on?" asked Vesta teasingly.

"Hey, he may be old, but I'm still in the prime of my youth." said Luna.

"Hey, I'm not that old!" exclaimed Migs feeling offended.

Suddenly, Vesta flew quickly towards him and ramming him, sent him towards the ground.

"You're right. You're much older than I thought you were." said Vesta laughing.

"Migs!" said Luna worrying about her friend.

"Oh, don't worry, I'll have you meet him." said Vesta getting ready to perform.

"Not while me here!" said Petrie flying towards her before he started pecking her on various parts of her body.

Vesta tried to swipe at him with her paw, but he was fast enough to dodge them.

A few seconds later, Petrie positioned himself in front of her and began to fly in vertical circles. Because Vesta was following him with her eyes, Petrie's rapidly forming circles in front of her made her end up getting dizzy.

"This is for Migs." said Luna taking advantage of the enemy's dizziness to fly straight at her and hit her with all her might, sending her several meters backwards.

After making sure her enemy was out of her sight, Luna turned her gaze to the flyer who had finished flying in circles before he landed on the roof of the palace along with the jaquin.

"Are you okay, Petrie?" asked Luna.

"Me fine, but flying like this leave me very tired and dizzy." said Petrie before sitting down.

Soon after, Skylar and Migs arrived.

"How are you, Migs?" asked Luna.

"I've taken harder hits. I'll survive." said Migs.

"Now that was quite a feat. Well done, buddy." said Skylar bumping paws with the flyer.

"You may be small, but you certainly have a lot of courage." said Luna.

"Oh, thank you. Me can be scared sometimes, but when it comes helping friends, me brave." said Petrie.

"I don't doubt that." Migs said.

After what happened earlier, Victor became very angry and started to cast spells non-stop and with more force than before. For a while, the five of them were dodging the attacks, but the situation became so overwhelming that they had to hide behind a pillar.

"Okay, does anyone have any plans?" asked Cera.

"What if we take away that thing he uses to cast the spells?" asked Ducky.

"I don't think that would work. Every time we get close to him, he casts a spell that forces us to back away." said Gabriel.

"Then we would need a distraction." said Naomi.

"Right, one of us will sneak up on him while the rest of us distract them." said Gabriel with a developed plan.

"I'll be the one to sneak up on him. Since I'm small, he won't pay attention to me. No, no, no." said Ducky.

"And I'll go with you. There's no way I'm going to leave you alone on such a dangerous mission." said Naomi.

"Then, Spike, Gabriel and I will take care of the rest." said Cera.

"Okay, but be careful." said Gabriel.

"Hey!" shouted Victor having stopped casting spells after seeing that they didn't come out of hiding. "Stop playing hide and seek and come out at once!" demanded Victor looking around for his opponents.

"As you wish." that caused Victor to turn to the side to see Gabriel with his sword held high, but the malvago used his tamborita to block the attack before moving to the side to make the royal guard stumble a bit.

Victor was about to attack when several small stones began to hit him, forcing him to raise an arm to protect himself.

Turning to the side, he discovered that the cause was Cera and Spike throwing some debris from the scene like bullets.

"Nasty creatures." said Victor before throwing a spell at the two dinosaurs who dodged to the side to dodge it.

After that, Cera started running quickly towards the malvago and when she was halfway there, she leapt with the intention of hitting him with her head, but the malvago was able to block it with his tamborita, although the force of the blow knocked him back a bit.

Meanwhile, Naomi and Ducky took advantage of the fight to stealthily position themselves in some bushes behind them.

"Okay, here's the plan. Put this rope between his feet without him knowing. When you've done that, you let me know. Got it?" asked Naomi holding up one end of a rope.

"Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky grabbing the other end of the rope before running towards the malvago.

Because he was concentrating on his three opponents, he didn't notice the swimmer's presence, much less when she passed between his legs, dragging the rope with her.

Once accomplished, she quickly returned back to her human friend.

"Now!" exclaimed Ducky.

In the next instant, the two pulled on the rope, which caused the rope around the malvago's legs to tighten, causing Victor to fall to the ground with a groan.

He was about to get up when Spike jumped up and landed on his back, causing him to yelp a little from the weight of the spiketail, causing him to let go of his tamborita.

"Hehe. That's the first time Spike's weight has really helped us." said Cera.

"Good job everyone. Now, let's make sure he doesn't do anything else." said Gabriel pointing his sword at the malvago who let out a growl of rage.

Elena and Shuriki continued with their duel of scepter magic throwing spells at each other that they then dodged or countered, but Shuriki was at a slight disadvantage due to the participation of the longneck, who took advantage of every moment to hit her with his body and every time Shuriki tried to hit him with a spell, he either dodged it or was protected by a spell from the crown princess.

"Nasty meddling creature! Inferno!" shouted Shuriki shooting a huge sphere of darkness to finish them both off, but the attack pierced them, revealing them to be a mirage. "What?" asked Shuriki very confused.

"Glow!" shouted Elena causing the tip of her scepter to emit a light that forced the witch to cover her eyes. "Now, Littlefoot!"

Without waiting a second, the longneck took advantage of the witch's small moment of blindness to charge towards her and slam his body into her, sending her to the ground.

The two stood together before watching Shuriki get up, but due to the amount of spells she used in the fight, she was starting to get exhausted, something that was noticeable when she was having difficulty getting up, going so far as to use her scepter for support.

"It's over Shuriki, give up." said Elena pointing her scepter at her.

"I will never give up, I intend to finish you and your ridiculous pet!" said Shuriki.

"I am not her pet. I am her friend." said Littlefoot.

"I don't care! When I'm done with the two of you, I'll be done with everyone else and back to my rightful place as queen of Avalor!" said Shuriki almost rising to her full height.

"That won't happen. Not while I'm here to prevent it." said Elena with pure determination.

Shuriki began to growl threatening to let out a scream of rage as she clenched her scepter tightly, but then, before she went to cast any spells. An explosion of smoke happened next to her and as it unraveled, it revealed Fiero.

"Fiero?" asked Elena in surprise.

"Fiero?" asked Littlefoot with confusion.

"What are you doing here?" asked Shuriki demanding answers.

"Oddly enough, saving you." said Fiero before grabbing the witch and disappearing in another burst of smoke.

"Stop!" said Elena running for the door along with the longneck.

When they both stepped outside, they looked up to see the group of Shuriki fleeing in their jaquins.

"They're getting away." said Littlefoot.

"Don't worry. We've won this fight. I'm sure they'll be back someday." said Elena.

"And when they do..." the two turned to the side to see Gabriel, Naomi, Mateo, the jaquins and the rest of the gang heading their way. "We'll be ready."

"That's right, we'll be able to take them on." said Chomper.

"Because working together, we can handle anything." said Naomi.

"Yep, yep, yep." said Ducky as Spike nodded.

"Turns out they weren't as big a deal as you said they were." said Cera.

"There is something called worry and caution." said Migs.

"But despite that, we helped you and thanks to our help, we were able to beat them." said Ruby.

"You're right, the next time we see them, we'll be ready." began Elena before turning her gaze to the longneck with a smile.

"All together." said Littlefoot smiling back at the crown princess.

Shuriki and her kind may have escaped, but after that, they knew that, the next time they decided to attack them, they would all be together to fight them. Humans, jaquins and dinosaurs.
