There wasn't anything special about it at all; the leaves outside were turning bright colors, as if a paintbrush were taken to the world around them. Inside the hut, the wind doesn't reach, just makes silly little noises outside by brushing up against it.

And Zeno's sitting cross-legged in front of her, holding his bowl of food and smiling as if somehow the food is infinitely more precious, because Kaya had made it. It's a pretty sight, and not an unusual one.

It's why it feels a little odd when she does speak up, as if she doubts the validity of her words despite meaning them entirely, "I wish this moment could last forever…"

"Me too." Zeno chirps with a smile, though sometimes she sees the beginning of sadness creep into his eyes when 'forever' is spoken, a secret hidden from her. Though Zeno isn't the sort to really keep secrets; he's pretty upfront and honest about most things. His past though is shady territory, but Kaya doesn't want to see Zeno as sad as he was on the day they met, again either.

"I really like being with you." Kaya says instead, before the silence can sneak back in. Every moment is so much more precious when you're worried that it could be your last after all.

"I really like being with you too, Kaya!" Zeno scoots closer, switching to using his knees, more kneeling rather than sitting cross-legged now.

And then he leans against her side, carefully angling his bowl away from her, probably worried that it would spill across her shoulder.

She smiles and leans against Zeno's side; it's so nice to be here with him, nicer than any other company she imagines.

He's her husband after all, though the thought still makes her blush even though it's been so many months since they got married.

"What's the matter?" Zeno pauses before he goes to shovel the next bit of food into his mouth.

"I'm just so grateful." She says, instead of answering. It's almost embarrassing to admit that she still blushes at just the thought of being married to him, even though he's absolutely amazing and completely supportive of her. He loves her so much, and Kaya just doesn't know how to handle that.

She'd never expected to meet someone like Zeno before, and she's still so immensely grateful that she did finally meet him.
