Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion Episode 1.
The scene opens up to a woman watching two boys climb a hill.
A female narrator's voice spoke up.
"On August 10th, 2010 a.t.b., the Holy Britannian Empire declared war on Japan. The island country in the Far East that had maintained neutrality and the world's only superpower, Britannia. Between them existed an ongoing diplomatic conflict that had resulted from the resources in Japan,"
Images of military vehicles like jets, submarines, battleships sinking, and soldiers deploying from the beach into the island are shown.
"During the mainland battle, the Britannian Army use the Mobile Humanoid Combat Armed Knight, the Knightmare Frame, in combat for the first time,"
The scene changes to a giant robot with four red dots for eyes, turning its head and opening its head up with a radar showing in it. Above the robot, two more have been dropped from an aircraft and secured the perimeter. The three frames were inside a city, which looks to be destroyed from the broken debris and smoke coming out of it.
The pilots inside the Knightmare Frame pressed a button that released something from the calf of the robots and all three of them glided through the ruined streets of the city which served as a battlefield.
"Their power was beyond anything imagined. The defense lines formed to protect mainland Japan were breached one after another. Japan became a territory of the Empire and had her freedom, rights, and name taken away,"
The scene continued to the Knightmare Frames destroying tanks and dominating Japan. Images of soldiers taking aim at Japanese people who surrendered with their arms up, a destroyed city burning and smoking, a Japanese room with a doll, and its flag changing from a red dot in a white flag – to a blue flag with a red cross on it. The borders of the red cross were white and the borders of the white were yellow. In the middle of the flag, a shield with a crown was shown, a drawing of a snake and a lion with wings intercrossing was embedded in it. Above the shield was green mantling and under the shield was a white and red ribbon.
"Area 11, that number was the new name for Japan after her defeat,"
The sunset was showing and within an empty area there were three vehicles, one old man standing and saluting nearby a fire – most likely to honor his fellow countrymen and two children. The camera zooms up to show a young Lie Ren's face.
"I'm…"
Ren hears a voice and turns his head to see a young Jaune Arc's face.
"Ren… I'm… Going… to destroy Britannia," Jaune said with hatred, conviction, and determination in his eyes.
The screen turns to black, and after a moment, words were shown on it.
The day the Demon was born.
The scene changes to Mount Fuji with the year 2017 and 7 years after the war superimposed on the screen. It changes to a city and the words change to Britannian Residential Area Tokyo Settlement.
"This is Alpha 3. The target has exited Delta 12 and entered Delta 14, it's moving at a speed of 80 km/h," a pilot in an aircraft radioed.
An aircraft chasing a truck on the road was seen.
"Movement according to the CCP: Floor 5 to Floor 2, Code 3. All units, move to E-88 and prepare to capture the target,"
Inside of a building, a tv screen showed a news reporter informing of a terrorist bombing that occurred a few days ago. In its living room, two people were sitting on chairs separated by a table. The two old men were surrounded by five bodyguards.
Upon closer inspection, the two men seem to be playing a chess match. Suddenly, the timer of one of the two players beeped.
"Your thinking time is up, you have to make a move within twenty seconds," one of the guards informed the old man. His opponent looks to be a nobleman and he was filing his nails, with a smug look on his face.
"It's as he says," the nobleman said with a smirk on his face.
The old man was sweating and desperate to think of a move when suddenly the door behind him opened and entered two students...
The two players looked at the one entering.
"Your substitute has arrived?" the nobleman asked.
"I'm saved!" said the old man with relief in his voice and stood up to greet the visitor. "Is it okay with your school?"
"Oh? A student?" the noble questioned.
"Oh? An aristocrat?" one of the students replied back and it turned out to be Jaune. Behind him walked Neptune with a helmet on his head.
"The young are so lucky. They have plenty of time… Time to regret. What's your name?"
"Jaune Quil," Jaune replied and Neptune stepped from behind and looked at the board.
"What the? Look at this mess! No matter how you look at it, you can't win," The screen showed the condition of the chessboard.
"Neptune, how long can we stay if we need to make it back to class in time?"
"Uh… If I speed, we can stay here for about… give or take twenty minutes,"
"I see. Then, please drive safely on our way back,"
"Huh?"
"It'll be over in nine minutes," Jaune said while taking a seat.
"Master, about the thing I mentioned last time," Jaune talked to the old man.
"I understand, I'll talk to them," the old man replied.
The aristocrat was confused. "Nine minutes? It's twenty seconds per move,"
"That's enough," Jaune said while raising a piece.
"Starting with the King?" the nobleman laughed.
Jaune smiled and the screen closed.
"Where's Jaune?" a girl's voice asked.
The scene changed to a school gate with the words Adel Academy on it. The camera pans out to show students in the school doing activities.
"Neptune took him away," another girl's voice answered.
"He's representing another match? I wonder if it's poker…"
"They don't have the right attitude for the student council!" a voice said.
"They're betting money on it!" the voice continued and the camera shows it to be Pyrrha's who's saying it.
"Although he's smart and has a good brain, the way Jaune uses it is unusual!" she exclaimed. "If he would study, then his grades would be better too, right?" she explained to the two other girls who were with him. Those two girls ended up being Coco Adel, the student council president, and May Zedong, another member of the student council.
"'Our beloved Jaune-Jaune is actually a serious guy?' How cute!" Coco 'translated' and teased Pyrrha.
Pyrrha stopped eating her food and pouted. "Hey, President…" She was trying to tell her about why Jaune never actually uses his intelligence in school and that if he did, he'd have better grades. Why did she interpret it as if he's going to be cooler if he took his studies seriously?! Although, she can't deny that he would be cooler…
The scene abruptly changed back to the truck chase. The two driver and passenger were then shown. One of them was a mocha-skinned girl with green hair, but with the uniform, she was wearing you couldn't see her face clearly.
"Damn it," the driver spat. "Even though we managed to get it out… All because that damn Russel didn't move according to Sage's plan…"
"Nobles are the best! They have pride, so they'll definitely pay up. On top of that, a new record of eight minutes and thirty-two seconds!?" Neptune exclaimed in awe. He's been playing hooky with Jaune for a long time now to bet against nobles and beat them at chess. And this match was the fastest he'd seen yet!
The scene changed yet again to a fallen nail file as the camera looks up to see the aristocrat's face in shock. Jaune and Neptune are then seen leaving the building.
"He didn't have much remaining time either. Nobles are so sheltered. They just indulge in their special rights," Jaune said.
"Well, would you like to play against Elevens then?" Neptune asked. "They're different from us Britannians,"
Neptune was walking backward with his arms behind his head when he turns and sees a jumbotron showing the news and hears the gossip people are talking about.
"That's so horrible, involving innocent people…"
"Elevens are so scary,"
A voice was heard as the Jumbotron switched to the Britannian flag.
"Sorry to keep you waiting. There will now be a public address by His Highness Scarlet, the 3rd Prince of the Britannian Empire," the screen then showed Scarlet David in royal attire. Behind him was the Britannian Flag in all its glory. He seems to be exuding charisma as if he was born to be superior to those around him.
"To the people of the Empire," Scarlet started. "and of course, to the many Elevens who are cooperating with us…"
He was shown in different forms of media, from the radio to the internet and even television, including a mini-screen inside a truck with the dark-skinned girl watching it.
"We're not Elevens! We're Japanese!" she spat in anger.
"Do you understand?" Scarlet asked as he put his fist in his chest. "My heart is now being split in two!" His face was shown to be angry and frustrated, evoking emotions from the citizens watching him, as if he was speaking to them directly.
"It is being torn into a heart of anger and heart of grief! However, I, the one with the responsibility over Area 11, cannot bend to these terrorists! Why? Because this is a fight for justice! The justice that protects all peace! Now, everyone, let us all give our condolences to the eight who sacrificed themselves for the sake of justice, shall we not?"
Moments were shown from the country, cities, the school, and citizens watching the prince. A huge castle-like building was shown.
"Let us pray silently," a female voice said.
The scene changes to Neptune getting on a tricycle and Jaune paying for the parking lot.
"Oh, you're not doing it?" Neptune asked.
"What?" Jaune asked, confused.
"Praying for the dead," the intellectual clarified
The blonde hummed.
"What about you, Neptune?"
"Eh, it's embarrassing," Neptune laughed.
"That's true," Jaune smiled. "Even if we cry, the dead won't come back to life,"
"Whoa, that's harsh," Neptune said while putting on his goggles.
"In the end, it's all just self-justification," Jaune said while turning to the jumbotron screen. "No matter how hard you try, the world still won't change,"
The scene changed to Prince Scarlet with the camera's light turning off, indicating the recording has stopped. He walked down the podium.
"That was wonderful, Your Highness,"
"It's hard to imagine that you were enjoying yourself at a party just now," the people around him said.
"The Governor-General is the greatest actor in Area 11, after all. This level of adaptation is nothing," Scarlet said while having servants remove his cape.
"Oh my, you are full of confidence," One of them said.
"I am merely preparing myself. Showing myself without confidence would only make the people of the media happy," Scarlet turned to the journalists in question.
"No, no. We were wondering if we could do something to help Your Highness Scarlet's reign," one of them said. Behind the media people was a man reading from a notebook while leaning on the wall. This was Roman Torchwick. A journalist who's looking for the perfect story to tell to the people.
"A papier-mâché reign?" Roman asked.
"Your Highness!" A soldier was then shown running past him looking nervous.
"A soldier?" Roman questioned.
"What is it? How impolite," Scarlet said, thinking it rude to interrupt a conversation.
"Please forgive me! However…" the soldier talked.
"Another special program? Ah well, at least I'll get the materials…" Roman grumbled and turned to leave but heard a shout.
"You idiot!"
The soldier was sweating out of his mind. "W-we told the police that it was just some medical equipment. If we move all of our forces…" he stammered and was interrupted.
"Send out the troops under my direct control along with the Knightmare Frames!" the prince ordered.
An alert was sounded and troops were shown moving throughout the place and entering the robots. One of them was a woman with lightly tanned skin, indigo hair brushed over to her left side and olive eyes. This was Nebula Violette. Another was a man with messy dark red hair and pink eyes. This was Cardin Winchester.
"Alert One! Alert One declared! The sixth, seventh, and eighth squadrons are preparing to sortie. The second and third squadrons have already been deployed. The ninth support squadron is on standby,"
Back to Jaune and Neptune, they were both talking about the chess match when Jaune was facing the aristocrat. Neptune was asking about why he moved the King first when it's usually a bad idea to do so.
"If the King doesn't move, how can he expect his subjects to follow, right?" Jaune answered.
They then kept having a conversation but were suddenly interrupted by a loud horn. The both of them looked behind to see a truck coming at them at fast speeds. Neptune panicked and kept speeding up while the driver of the truck swerved and turned into a closed-off road in which they crashed into a warehouse.
"Shit, was that our fault?" Neptune stopped his tricycle and looked at the crash. Not only did his bike break from that, but he was also worried he caused people their lives because of an accident.
"No, of course not. We were only driving when that truck suddenly sped at us," Jaune explained while trying to look past the smoke, seeing something in it.
The scene abruptly cut back to the pilots. "To headquarters: the target has crashed into the VO building that was abandoned half-built," the pilot radioed when a voice said that this operation is now being taken over by the military. The pilot was surprised to hear the general's voice.
"We must get the truck back no matter what," the general declared. "Because that's…"
Back to the two students, Jaune thought he saw something but was distracted by other people gathering at the incident talking about it and recording it through their scroll.
"Hey! Over here!"
"Whoa. That's bad,"
"What happened? Is it an accident?"
"Maybe they're drunk?"
"What idiots would drive when drunk?"
"Hey, someone go down and help them!"
These were the limited words Jaune could hear.
All these people, talking about trying to help but never actually doing it. Pathetic. Jaune scoffed in his head. He then removed his helmet and put it into the tricycle and ran.
"Hey! Where are you going?" Neptune yelled.
In the truck, the woman was saved by the air bags. The bystanders saw a blond student approaching near the truck.
"Ooh! The student rescue squad has arrived!" One of them said.
"Can't someone at least call the cops?" said by a woman recording through her scroll.
Jaune tried to move a pillar that's on the truck. "Hey! Are you okay?" Hearing no response, Jaune went around the truck.
Neptune was seen pushing around his vehicle and complaining. "I get that you're trying to save them, but because of your stupid pride, we're going to be late for class. I can only hope the president goes easy on us,"
In the truck, the woman woke up and turned to the driver next to him. "Bolin? Bolin!" she called.
"Hey, can you hear me?" outside, Jaune called to see if there's a response when suddenly, he heard a voice in his head.
I found you… My…
Jaune looked around him. "Who? Where was that from?" He then looked down on the truck. "Are you there?"
Suddenly, the truck started and pulled in reverse. Jaune, shocked and wasn't prepared to balance himself, fell into the hole of the truck. "Hey! Whoever's there, stop!"
Outside, Neptune observed. "Huh. Is this what they call a hit-and-run?"
In the truck chase, helicopters are behind the vehicle, giving a warning.
"This is a warning! Right now, you can still turn yourself in for trial! Hurry and give yourselves up!" The aircraft then aimed their guns at the truck and proceeded to open fire.
Bullets hit the road behind the truck while it swerved, trying to dodge the bullets.
"The next attack won't miss! Give yourselves up!" The soldier declared once more.
"Even the military showed. What do we do now?" Bolin questioned. This was Bolin Hori, Emerald's partner-in-crime for the time being. He's been a member of Emerald's group for a long time now. Their goal was to free Japan from Britannia's clutches.
The dark-skinned woman threw off her hat and showed her face and red eyes. "That's why I'm here, right?" she answered. This was Emerald Sustrai, a half-Japanese woman. She hates her last name and prefers to use her Japanese last name Ayana along with her brother, Sage Ayana.
The truck then went inside a tunnel. Inside the truck, Jaune was hiding and thinking.
He knew getting outside would be dangerous and would most likely get himself killed. The situation doesn't look too good for him. He should use his phone to call—
His plans were interrupted by the door connecting the cargo to the truck opening.
"We can get to the subway from the other route," Emerald said, taking off her uniform and showing her outfit underneath, a vest-shorts combination.
"Emerald, let's use that," Bolin said.
"That would be a massacre!" she stated while climbing a ladder.
"I guess you're right…"
Jaune hid and looked. That woman…
Back to Neptune…
"Jaune? Hey, Jaune! Where did you go! We need to go back to school!" Neptune looked for Jaune back in the area, filled with bystanders. He was starting to get worried, where did he go? Did something bad happen?
The scene changed to the helicopters chasing the truck and taking aim on it, however, a spike tip connected to a wire suddenly shot out of the back of the truck and struck one of the helicopters, crashing it.
"Slash Harkens?!" One of the pilots exclaimed in surprise. That could only belong to a…
The rest of the door of the truck opened to reveal a red Knightmare Frame.
"A Knightmare!" the soldier called out in shock. How could they have gotten a Knightmare Frame?
The robot then jumped out of the truck with its doors closing. Jaune tried to jump out but cried in frustration when it closed on him.
"Damn it! These guys are real terrorists!" the blonde said. This was not his day at all. He thought that it could've just been an accident and that they were just drunk drivers but he couldn't have been so lucky, can he?
"You know how powerful this thing is, don't you?!" Emerald spat.
The helicopters proceeded to barrage her with bullets in response but she just dodged all of them and fired two Slash Harkens straight into them, destroying the helicopters.
"Back off. I'll be its opponent," a voice said and an aircraft appeared. It looked to be carrying a purple Knightmare Frame.
"I don't know where you got it, but an outdated Glasglow…" the voice said with the robot deploying into the ground. The Glasglow fired another Slash Harken but it was intercepted by a Slash Harken of its own. "… is no match for this Sutherland!"
The camera went inside the Sutherland, showing the pilot to be Cardin Winchester.
"Especially an Eleven bastard who can't even comprehend His Highness' affection!" he said with a smirk on his face and fired his gun straight into the Glasgow.
Emerald grunted from the hit.
"Kallen! Change of plans! We can't both die! You should escape!" Bolin informed. They were no match for a Knightmare Frame when the only one they have is outdated and basically obsolete. An ordinary military vehicle is no match for a Knightmare Frame, and a Knightmare Frame is no match for a generation above it. The Glasgow is a fourth-generation while the Sutherland is a fifth-generation Frame.
"But..." Another Sutherland advanced past the truck and went in front of it to intercept.
The driver, seeing this turned the truck and moved onto another road. Inside the Knightmare, Nebula can be seen smirking. "How simple-minded,"
The camera looks back to Emerald and Cardin's fight. Emerald tried to fire another Slash Harken, but nothing happened. "What?! Why?!"
"You second-hand scrap metal!" Cardin charged and almost hit Emerald, but at the last second Emerald ejected and fired the Glasgow's left hand and it exploded right in front of the Sutherland. The Glasgow can be seen exiting the smoke and trying to escape.
"Oh? Good reflexes, but…" Cardin smirked.
Back inside the truck, Jaune pulled out his scroll to call but…
"Damn, no reception here," Jaune cursed. Why is it that whenever it's actually appropriate to call the authorities, they just can't seem to be reached?!
"Judging from the darkness and the unevenness of the ground, we must be traveling along an old subway line. The final destination is one of the ghettos. It'd be dangerous for me to get out," he speculated.
"But… All right. I understand it. The situation is clear. Guess I have to depend on the army for help. I'll take the terrorists' transmitter as a gift though," he joked and took it anyway. "Oh, I forgot about him…"
Said him was the scene cutting back to Neptune pushing his broken tricycle.
"That guy… just left me behind… probably didn't want to help push the bike," Neptune panted.
The scene changes into the General talking with a scientist named Ozpin, the Earl of Coffee. They were talking about the plan to get back the truck – or rather, what's inside of it. The Earl stated that if he wants to get the truck, he needs to get rid of the people who stole and guarded it, and if he allows the terrorist to go on, he'll find their hideout. The scientist suddenly turned and congratulated his assistant, Glynda Goodwitch.
"Enough! What does the Special Envoy want?" the general asked.
"As I just said literally minutes ago, we want to help in the search," Ozpin retorted.
"Help?" the general questioned.
"Yeah, we want data," the scientist replied
"And also, what's the thing that was stolen?" Glynda asked.
"A chemical weapon. In other words, poison gas," the general replied.
Back inside the truck that was said to contain poison that Jaune was sitting right next to, looking at his scroll.
Outside the ghettos, multiple aircraft were seen patrolling it. They've just been informed that terrorists are running along a subway corridor and that their mission is to find the weapon the terrorists stole.
"You are to search within the residency of the Elevens, the Shinjuku Ghetto. Upon discovery, send back the coordinates. We, His Highness' personal unit, will bring the target back" the voice transmitted.
The scene showed the people of the ghettos' reaction to the Britannian military. Kids were shown to be hiding behind their parents and adults were seen running back to their homes to hide. The aircraft was seen to be dropping and deploying soldiers into the area.
"Although you bastards are merely Honorary Britannians, you are originally Elevens. Go sniff out the mongrels that have the same smell as you. If you want to be permitted to carry firearms, show us some results!" the captain said with distaste.
"Now is the chance for you to show your loyalty to Britannia!" the captain said.
"Yes! My Lord," the Honorary Britannians obeyed.
Back to the subway, the truck was seen driving when a hole in the road ruined its drive. One of the soldiers noticed a sound and went to check it out.
"Was it an accident?" The student questioned.
"Damn it, it's no good," Bolin panted. He was heavily injured and driving with one arm.
"I'll leave it to you, Kobalt… Find it…" He then flicked a switch within the truck which opened a door in the cargo.
The student hid.
The soldier then spotted the poison bomb and reported the coordinates.
Inside the aircraft of the captain…
"404 has discovered the target," a soldier said to his captain.
"Alright! Prepare to sortie!" the captain exclaimed.
Back to the soldier, his HUD which was showing alert to the bomb suddenly spotted someone near it. He ran to the boy in question, seeing him as a terrorist and trying to stop him.
"If I climbed to the top now…" Jaune probed. Then suddenly, he was hit by a roundhouse kick from the soldier.
Jaune fell to the floor. "A Britannian soldier?!" he said in shock.
The soldier landed on top of him to put a hand on his neck to incapacitate Jaune. His mouthpiece began to unclip to show his lower mouth. "Don't kill anymore," he said, and out came a familiar voice.
"Wait! I'm…" Jaune tried to say but he was interrupted.
"And poison gas on top of that! Even if you try to talk your way out of it…" He kept talking when Jaune finally got free and kicked the soldier off.
"That's why I'm saying…!" Jaune stood up. "It was Britannia that made the poison gas in the first place, right?!"
"You're…" the soldier said.
Jaune kept walking. "Don't kill? Then destroy Britannia!"
"Jaune?" the soldier called.
The teen stopped. The soldier then took off his helmet to reveal Ren's face.
"It's me, Ren,"
Jaune was shocked and remembered flashbacks of him and Ren as kids.
"You… so you became a member of the Britannian Army?" Jaune asked his friend.
"What about you? You don't mean…" Ren asked slowly, but he was surprised. He found Jaune here, so did that mean that he was a terrorist?
"What are you saying-" Jaune asked, offended but he was interrupted by a bright light coming from the poison container.
The container of the gas opened and Ren tackled Jaune into the ground to try and save both of them from the blast. When the bomb fully opened, instead of an explosion came a…
Woman? It was a woman with hair as dark as night, pale skin, wearing white clothing. Blake Belladonna, or rather, since no one should know her true name right about now: B.B.
"It's not… poison gas?" Ren queried.
The woman opened her eyes to reveal the color amber.
The scene changes to the Glasgow hiding in the sewers.
"Sorry. The situation is pretty messy and I had to…" Emerald apologized.
"It's fine. You can use the Glasgow's communicators. More importantly, is it…?"
We take a look inside the Glasgow to see Emerald resting and wiping off sweat.
"Yeah. As the information stated, I think it's poison gas,"
"What about Bolin?" the voice asked.
"I don't know," Emerald answered truthfully. "I think he's in the subway, but…"
The camera pans over to Bolin's bloodied body, then changes to B.B's.
"Answer me, Ren. Is this girl poison gas?" Jaune questioned
"But, I'm certain in the briefing they said…" Ren answered. The two were trying to release B.B from her binds when a light behind Ren was shown
"Hey, mongrel," the captain showed up and spoke. Behind him were soldiers with guns pointing at them.
"I don't recall giving that much authority to an Honorary Britannian!"
"But I heard that this was poison gas," Ren explained while running over to the captain.
"You don't have the right to argue,"
This is bad. This is definitely poison. If this was to leak to the outside, it might turn into a powerful poison that would threaten Ren's masters. Jaune thought while holding onto B.B.
"However, in light of your accomplishments, I'll give you a chance," the captain acquiesced while handing a gun over to Ren.
"Private Lie, use this to kill the terrorist," he ordered.
Ren was shocked. He looked behind him to see Jaune holding on to B.B. "He's different!"
"He's just a civilian who's been caught up in this!"
The captain's eyes narrowed. "You mongrel, this is an order!" He yelled.
"You pledged allegiance to Britannia, didn't you?"
"That's… I can't" Ren refused.
"What?"
"I won't do it, sir. I can't shoot a civilian like him," Ren said turning around and smiling at Jaune.
"I see… then…" The captain flipped the gun to his side and aimed it at Ren.
"Die,"
He pulled the trigger.
"REN!" Jaune yelled.
Ren fell over
"From what I can tell, you appear to be a Britannian student. How unfortunate," the captain said with a bland tone, as if he didn't kill someone just now.
"Retrieve the woman, then kill the student," He ordered his men.
"Yes, My Lord," they obeyed.
As this was happening, B.B's eyes slowly opened. And inside the truck, Bolin struggled but ultimately succeeded to show a button.
"Those… Britannian bastards. Long… live… Japan!" Bolin said his final words and pressed it.
The truck exploded.
The scene changes to a G-1 Base driving around the ghettos.
"They got away?! And you call yourselves His Highness' personal unit?!" The general raged into the intercoms. He was furious! How could this idiot let them get away?
"F-Forgive me, sir," the captain's voice pleaded. "Based on the reports, even though the blast spread upwards, the bedrock is…"
"Why do you think the information was only relayed to you?!" the general yelled.
"W-We'll continue the search!" the captain spluttered.
"The plan has entered the next stage," Scarlet declared. He was sitting in the middle of the control room with his chin resting on one of his arms.
"B-But, Your Highness!"
"If this is leaked to the outside, I will be disinherited," Scarlet said, rubbing his forehead, getting a headache would be bad for now. "Tell the motherland that this is a military exercise conducted to purge the region. This is an order from me, the 3rd Prince of Britannia, Scarlet," He stood up and waved one of his arms in front of him.
"Annihilate the Shinjuku Ghetto!" he declared.
Inside the deployment area of the G-1, multiple Knightmare Frames were ejected out into the field. One by one they kept increasing. Civilians of the ghetto panicked and ran. Children were pulling their siblings along with them, but it was too late. A Knightmare Frame blew up and charged from inside a building wall to attack the alleyways, killing everyone in it.
Inside a room, an old couple was panicking. Suddenly, soldiers barged in and shot them dead.
"All right, time to go up to the next floor," one of them said.
Outside, chaos was ensuing, explosions, gunshots, and screams were heard throughout the area.
"They are trash who can never become Honorary Britannians. Kill them until there are none left!" the general ordered.
"Of course, sir!" Cardin, one of the pilots, followed.
"Administrator Winchester, General Bartley wishes for you to take command of the second wave of troops," a voice was transmitted into his robot.
"There are other officers, aren't there?" Cardin complained. "It's rare to have actual combat. Let me have fun!" He fired his weapon.
Jaune and B.B. were seen running while explosions could be felt in the background when B.B. tripped and fell.
"What the hell are you?!" Jaune couldn't believe it. Of all the times to fall…
"All this commotion is your fault! Isn't it? And Britannia… Britannia even killed Ren," the camera zoomed in to Jaune's eyes. They were shaking in rage and sadness.
The scene changed to the G-1 Base. Multiple soldiers, aircraft, and vehicles were surrounding it.
"He's not there?" Ozpin asked.
"It appears he's been deployed to the frontline," his assistant answered.
"Even though we brought along the Storm Flower?" Both were near a Knightmare Frame that was covered by a giant cloth. The only thing that you could see was its feet that had a black, green, and violet color scheme.
"What should we do then?"
"I want to launch it, but if there's no Devicer…" Ozpin was shown swinging around a key. He seemed to look sad that he won't be able to see Storm Flower in action.
Back to Jaune and B.B., they were both hiding near the stairs leading to the underground.
"Listen, you wait here," Jaune tried to get out and look for an escape but all he heard was gunshots and something falling down on the ground. He immediately ducked his head back in fear of getting caught.
The captain and his soldiers entered the building they were in. All of them carrying guns and shooting Elevens.
"How is it?" one of them searched around.
"It seems there are only Elevens here,"
"The only exit is around here, right?"
"Yes, based on old maps of this town,"
A crying girl's voice was heard, then gunshots, then silence.
Jaune looked in fear at them when his scroll rang. The Britannians noticed and quickly readied themselves.
Back in school, Pyrrha was shown to be standing around holding her scroll to her ears. She was trying to call Jaune and just when he answered, it immediately stopped.
"What… He hung up! That Jaune!" Pyrrha looked upset. She was just trying to look out for him? Don't tell her he's gambling more than usual!
Back to Jaune, he was punched in the face by a soldier and backed into a wall. B.B. tried to go to him but was held up by two of them.
"A fitting location for a terrorist to die," the captain voiced out.
"You…"
"Well, for a student, you tried hard. As expected of a Britannian," The captain praised. "However, your future… has just ended, sorry." He pointed the gun at Jaune with a smirk on his face. He was amused and proud of the kid. He made it this far! But unfortunately for him, this is the end of the line.
Jaune close his eyes in preparation to get shot.
He was about to fire when B.B. pushed the two soldiers out of the way and got in front of Jaune. "Don't kill him!"
The bullet was fired and B.B.'s bangs went into the side so her forehead was shown. There, on her forehead was a red bird-shaped symbol. However, in the center of it was a bullet hole. She fell backward dead. Jaune and the captain were shocked.
"Hey!" Jaune approached the dead woman.
"Hmph, I would've preferred her alive, but oh well," the captain said. Well, this was bad. Very bad. His orders were to bring her alive. But no matter.
"This is what we're going to tell the higher-ups: 'We, His Highness' personal unit, found the terrorist base and destroyed it. However, the hostages had already been executed by the time we got there.' What do you think about that, student?" the captain asked Jaune with a smirk on his face.
Jaune was shown shaking. He was full of emotions; anger, frustration, sadness, and fear. He was deep in his thoughts. What the hell is this… First Ren, now this girl… Am I… going to die here? Is this the end? Without even being able to do anything… so quickly… A girl appeared in his thoughts. She was a very frail girl sitting in a wheelchair. She had black hair with red tips, and, although you couldn't see her eyes since they were closed, you could tell that they would be very kind. Everyone's first impression upon meeting her was that this girl was kind.
Ruby! Jaune shook in frustration. He was about to give up when suddenly, someone grabbed his hand and he was shown visions. Pictures, images, it was the very definition of one hallucinating and going through a psychedelic state.
You don't want it to end here, do you?
What the…
It appears that you have a reason to live.
Is it that girl? No way…
If you have power, will you be able to live? This is a contract. I will grant you power, but in return I want you to grant one of my wishes. If you agree to the contract, you will live as a human but differ from other humans. A different destiny, a different time, a different life…
The Power of Kings will isolate you.
If you are prepared for that…
"The Ragnarök Connection. Has the legend begun yet again?!" A man was shown with his back facing the screen. It turned back to Jaune, looking determined.
"Fine then. I'll bind that contract!" It then went back to the real world with a dead B.B, Jaune, and soldiers surrounding him.
Jaune stood up, holding one of his eyes.
"Hey, how should Britannians who hate Britannia live?" he asked softly.
The captain ordered his men to point their guns at the student with the captain doing the same. "Are you an ideologist?" He looked confused.
"What's wrong? Are you going to shoot? Your opponent is just a student. Or have you realized it?" Jaune stated, his voice cold.
"Those who are allowed to shoot are those who are prepared to get shot?" Jaune uncovered his left eye, showing a bird-like symbol appearing in it.
"Wh-What's that?" The captain shook in fear and asked.
Jaune raised his left hand.
"I, Jaune Arc, order you bastards to…" he swiped his left hand.
"Die!" the bird-like symbol seemed to fly out of his eye and into the eyes of the captain and his soldiers. Their eyes that looked normal now had red rims around them.
The captain laughed. Then he pointed his gun at his neck with the other soldiers doing the same.
"Yes, Your Highness!"
He pulled the trigger, with his soldiers following next.
Blood was splattered on Jaune's face. He then looked in front of him, dead bodies everywhere. From B.B's corpse, to the soldiers, and to the civilians.
I've been lying constantly ever since that day.
I'm living a lie.
My name is a lie.
My background is a lie.
They're all lies.
I'm disgusted with this world that refuses to change. But these lies make me feel so hopeless that I want to give up. However, I attained it… Power… That's why…
He showed a demonic smile.
The screen turns to black, and after a moment, words were shown on it.
The day the Demon was born.
A/N: Thanks for the reviews. Unfortunately, I wasn't really thinking of much when I made that Master Swordsman chapter. Haha! I just thought it was cool if Jaune just used a sword and was good at it. There really wasn't much thought put into it, sorry! Anyway, this chapter is pretty lazy compared to my first one. It's pretty much just like a copy of the episode so apologies if it's not really that original. I'll try to be more unique but don't get your hopes up. Also, I think the next chapter will be about a different character, don't want to make it look like I'm only ever going to make stories about Jaune. And yeah, I'll try to make some kind of synopsis to my stories to at least give you some kind of information on what a particular chapter will be about.
Anyway, I have nothing more to say so bye.
