Bella and Brie walk along the sand.
"So what happened to you last night? You were gone an awfully long time in that bathroom" Bella asks with her hands in her pockets.
Brie smiles down at the sand "I was just taking my time. I can not just have time to myself and pee?" Brie says trying to not let Bella catch onto anything.
"That was a really long pee Brianna. Why can't you tell me what happened? Everyone saw Paul go into the house not long after you did?" Bella pauses as watches the look on Brie's face "Wait? You didn't?" Brie just gives her a knowing look "Oh my god Brie, did you's have sex? What a way to accept the imprint then"
Brie shakes her head "We didn't have sex" she said continuing to walk a long the sand "We just had some fun, thats all"
"So you are okay with the imprint then? Paul came to speak to me when you left with Jacob. He told me then" Bella asks.
Brie shrugs her shoulders "Yeah I guess I did. It would be hard not to Bella. When we first locked eyes it felt like this gravitational pull trying to pull us together. Would be hard to try and break that. Anyways I heard you and lover boys arguing last night what was that about?"
Bella sighs "Just another argument about me turning into a vampire. He's worried about the consequences. He doesn't want me to lose my soul" she starts to shake her head "I don't know why he's against it. If he wants to be with me forever then he is going to need to"
Brie nods understandingly "I get your point but I also get his point as well. He doesn't want you regretting the choices you make when you become a vampire, you could kill innocent people before you even start to learn control"
Bella nods "Yeah I know. Carlisle said I would have to fake my death if I was to ever turn. He said it wouldn't be fair on my mom or Charlie if I was to just disappear"
"Wow yeah. I never thought about that. You would be leaving them behind. What about me? You gonna leave me behind Bella?" Brie questions as she felt an ache in her stomach, thinking that she would never see her cousin again.
Bella rubs Brie's arm "Of course I wouldn't. We probably wouldn't see each other for a while at first until I learn self control but after that of course I wouldn't…" Bella stops as she see's Jacob walked up to both of them, He seems distracted, like he wants to say something but can't. Brie's too busy worrying to notice.
"So, Alice is planning a big graduation party. Which you're invited to" Jacob scoffs as Bella keeps talking "Yeah, I figured that. What?"
"I just wanted to do this differently. Smoother. But now, I'm out of time"
Bella didn't understand what he was talking about "To what?"
"You need to hear the truth, Bella. Understand all your options. You need to know that I'm in love with you. And I want you to choose me, instead of him" Brie sighs when she hears Jacob say this, he just couldn't get it into his head that Bella has chosen Edward
Bella stares at him, momentarily speechless "I thought you understood. I don't feel that way for you"
Jacob shakes his head "I don't buy it"
"Jake just leave it alone" Brie warned as she knew he was just making things worse.
"What don't you buy? That's how I feel" Bella argued back
"You feel something else for me, you just won't admit it. So I'm not giving up. I'm gonna fight for you. Until your heart stops beating"
"Well, then you're not gonna have to fight for long"
"You're rushing into it because you're afraid you'll change your mind"
This strikes a nerve with Bella which makes her angry "No, I'm not. I know what I want"
Jacob takes her by the arms, emotionally charged "You wouldn't have to change for me, Bella. Or say goodbye to anybody. I can give you more than him. I mean, he probably can't even kiss you without hurting you. Feel that? Flesh and blood and warmth" Suddenly spontaneously, he kisses her. Brie's mouth drops when she see's Jacob kissing Bella.
Bella pushes against him angrily, but he pulls her tighter to him. Finally Bella goes limp, drops her arms, opens her eyes, waiting for him to stop. He does, lets go. She turns away. He waits, gauging her reaction. Did she feel what he felt?
The wolf pack come into sight as Embry, Jared and Paul notice what is going on.
They see Bella spins around toward Jacob and punches him in the mouth. There's a horrible crunch on impact. Jacob doesn't even flinch. But Bella grabs her hand in pain. They could hear the bones shattering in her hand from over where they are, so they run over.
"Ow! Ow!" Brie flinched at the crunch, that was definitely broken.
"Oh my god Jacob, what did you do?" Brie exclaims as she holds Bella's hand gently. Bella is in excoriating pain.
"Oh my god Bella I am so sorry" Jacob starts to panicking seeing Bella in so much pain.
"You asshole" Bella curses but as she keep moving it about, Brie accidentally gives it a squeeze trying to stop Bella moving it "You bitch" she groans again as Brie jumps back putting her hands in the air.
"What happened?" Embry calls as he walks over to the group.
"I kissed Bella…and she broke her hand, punching my face" Jacob says staring at Bella.
"Serves you right" Brie exclaims at Jacob but Bella looks at her glaring as she thought she was talking about her "No not you." Brie looks at her then back at Jacob "You can't just leave things alone can you? Why do you have to make things worse?" She says getting in Jacob's face "Why can't you get it into your thick skull" she touches the side of his face "That she doesn't want you" Brie was starting to get bored of the love triangle saga but that hit a nerve with Jacob as he started to growl at her. Paul didn't take that too lightly as he pushed Brie behind him and got into Jacob's face, both them now growling at each other.
"Guys you might want to step back" Jared warned as Embry tries to calm the situation down.
"Don't you ever growl at my girl…ever" Paul threatened as he bumped heads with Jacob.
"Oh yeah the pathetic imprinting phase. Feel bad for Brie having to be stuck with you the rest of her life" Jacob barked back.
"Jacob thats enough" Brie warned trying to get closer but Jared pulled her back. She see's Paul getting really mad, Jacob moves back, himself as he takes his top off while Paul phases into his wolf. Brie had never seen Paul in his wolf form. He barked as Jacob before lunging at him, Jacob runs forward and shifts into his wolf as they both start lunging for each other. The snarling as their teeth bared as they both started attacking each other.
"Bella, Brie get out of here" Embry demanded as he called for Jared to get Sam. Jared runs away from the scene to find Sam as they both watch the fight happening in front of them.
"Cmon Brie I need to get this seen to" Bella says as she tries to pull Brie away with her one good arm. Brie watches on before nodding to Bella. She was going to drive Bella to The Cullens and then go see Paul after. Hoping he doesn't get too hurt.
Once she knew that Bella was taken care for, thankfully it wasn't broken just fractured. She drove back done to the reservation to see how badly Paul was. She got out her car to find Sam and Jacob having a chat. They both looked up when they heard her close the door. Sam gave Jacob a nod before walking off while Jacob slowly walked up to her with his head slightly looking down.
"How is she?" Jacob asked looking concerned, Brie crossed her arms still mad at him about what happened.
"She's fine. Her hand is in a splint. Its a small fracture. Which am surprised about sounded like you nearly shattered half her bones in her hand"
"Look I came to apologise" Jacob says with his tail in between his legs.
"Its not me you need to apologise to. It's Bella. Not to mention Edward is furious about the situation"
Jacob gives her a look "You think I can about that blood sucker thinks"
"Jacob" Brie sighs "You can't keep putting her in these situation Jake. She has made up her mind, why can't you just accept that?"
"She's making all the wrong decisions, Brie. And you are letting her"
"Woah, hold on. I am not letting her to do anything. Bella is a free women. She can make whatever choice she wants to make. She wants to become one of them Jacob and you can't stop her"
"Well the treaty will see to that" Jacob says as he storms off. Yeah okay Jacob go back into a sulk cause it's not going your way.
She shakes her head before seeing Paul standing against Emily's door. She sighs in relief as he didn't look too banged up, she walked over to him as he met her half way and she put her arms around his neck and gave him a hug. "You're okay" she says as he moves his face into the croak of her neck. She could feel his breath on her neck.
"Why wouldn't I be" he pulls away from her but holds onto her hips "You think that asshole can do any damage to me?" He smirks down at her.
"Well the fight sure as hell looked nasty" She says before looking down at him, only noticing he wasn't wear a shirt "Do any of you's actually own a shirt. Every time I see you's all, you's are all topless"
"Its easier to shift when you have hardly any clothes on. Are you complaining"
Brie shakes her head "No" she smiles at him as she thinks of a way to tease him "A tonne of toned abs as a view, a girl can't complain"
Paul growled as he pulled her closer "Is that so" he pushes her against the door frame with only one arm holding her against it "Is my girl getting hot over all the topless guys on the Res?
Brie laughs a little "You know am only teasing you Paul. Your the only one I get hot and bothered over" she smirks as she roams her hands around his torso. He groans a little as he was ready to take his little imprintee right there and then. Not caring who was around.
"Hey guys" Jared's voice broke the tension as Paul let her go "Don't want to being seeing your live sex show over there…Well I would of enjoyed that a few years back" Jared laughed as he walked into the woods.
"Well that will be that" Brie says, patting at her clothes.
"You hungry?" Paul asks he watches her play with her clothes.
Brie looks up at him and nods "Yeah but not that type of hungry" she smirks as she takes his hand and pulls him into the house.
