Sup, guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story, this one about Little Witch Academia. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own LWA, Yoh Yoshinari and a few others do.
Every magic user had a story. Every single drop of magic had SOME user who held their own page on the canvas of life. It was simply natural for witches and warlocks to be curious about magic considering they had no real concept of it to begin with.
"Ok… Try now." The young warlock heard as he blinked and started to extend his hand forward as a blast of flames emerged from it.
He watched them race towards the target, eager to claim the destruction of the target. He had been practicing this ALL day, it was something that he had been training for the entire day.
"Crap!" He yelled as the flames slowly began to lance out from where he aimed them, beginning to burn everything they touched at the moment.
"Hmm…" His father stated as ice danced from his fingertips. "That was good, but you need to make sure to keep the spell on point. The second it goes out of control like that? Then it's going to spread out of control like that. It's nothing to be afraid of. You should still keep an eye on it." His father added while he brushed off his hands.
The young warlock was quiet, guessing that his father was quite curious about this. He knew for a fact that he had a LOT to learn about magic when it came down to it. The young warlock started to questioned what things were going to happen.
"Ok." He stated while he cracked a smile and hummed while juggling a flame back and forth between his fingers.
His father watched with a smirk as he hummed and started to swirl the flames around, quite curious about how his son's magic training had gone. It was clearly improving since he had barely had the hang of this spell a week ago. That was good, improvement was ALWAYS good when he thought about it.
"Ok, try again." He stated which got a nod as flames exploded from his palm, throwing it all around as embers consumed the target.
Still? There was always going to be improvement when he thought about it. The father watched his son blast the target into cinders, wood flying every angle from around him.
"Ok then, little too much power, Drake." He said, looking down at his son who blinked.
Drake could only question what that meant as the target collapsed into firewood, burning under its own weight. He knew the flames would burn everything to ash and dust, it was a rather powerful fire spell the more he thought about.
"What did you mean?" Drake questioned and shook his head. "Dad, did I do bad or good?" Drake asked and got a nod which caused him to sigh.
It was a very awkward time to be doing magic anyway. Drake was rather happy with the results the more he thought about them… But he was still curious about WHAT results his father expected. He was still young; it wasn't like he could be expected to have mastered magic when he thought about it.
Then again? His father wasn't so much mad as he was hoping for him to do something good. He didn't yell which Drake knew was a sign he had done SOMETHING good at the very least. That was worth celebrating, he believed IN THINGS worth fighting for. Drake sighed and slowly stepped towards his home.
He didn't understand why things were so weird. His magic was constantly shifting back and forth. He was sure that there would be new magic to study, it always made him happy to learn something new…
"Ow…." Drake muttered as he wrung his hands. "Blasted backlash." Drake said as he gripped at his hands, pain dancing up and down his fingertips.
"Ok, need to practice the spell a little more." Drake stated while he cracked his neck with a twinge of pain going down his back.
It was then he remembered that his friend was going to be here anytime soon. It was something that got Drake rather excited the more he thought about it.
It was time to do something about quite fun when it came time to do it then. He knew something would be coming.
