The star's place in the sky was just that. They only stayed high in the sky away from all life and twinkled as if they were the most beautiful body to ever exist.

More beautiful than the oceans that gracefully flowed its blue wings over the lands. And even more beautiful than the blue skies that soared through the air as if its wings were as light as a bird.

The stars were as purest as anything could be, the source of all life, and the celestial body that bestows its power upon life. Untouched by man and purest as can be, the stars provide life with the necessary energy to survive.

From plants, to animals, to man, The energy stars give off is the result of many worship, and that worship becomes that of just. Simply wonderful is what most would say, and wonderful is the result of the work of stars.

But unlike the many who see stars as a body of worship and praise them like they were that of a god.

A man whose face is obscured by a clunky helmet, and missing an arm. The one whose name is Alderbaran, but goes by Al. The failure of the stars and failure to himself, the thought of stars utterly angered him.

It angered him to the point where he gripped the handle of his Blue dragon sword, and unsheathe it from its home with a swish sound as his Blue dragon sword cut through the air.

With a clank to his helmet Al bit down on his lip from under his helmet and muttered it-

"-The stars were not in our favor."

And with that, Al had brought down his Blue dragon sword onto the one who stood in front of him, and with the day coming to a close, so did the fight between him and the one who stood in front of him. Or so he thought.

When he swung his Blue dragon sword down on his opponent, the girl who was at the receiving end of the slash twisted her body with little effort and pushed the blade down to the ground with her crimson fan, and precisely beheaded Al with a vertical slash.

His head rolled across the shiny floor and with a "humph." The girl opened her crimson fan and then with a glare at the ground, she faced towards the door with her mouth hidden, hiding away her smile.

And then.

"-The stars were not in our favor."

Once again Al fiddled with his helmet, making a clunk sound in correspondence with his constant meddling, and with the sound being his cue, Al rushed the girl and with all his might he swung down his blue dragon sword again.

The girl didn't give him a second thought as her sword pierced his shoulder.

The sword was one of those enchanted swords that had the power of some higher form. In its case, the power it used was that of one of those stars that Al hated the most, and in that case, it was the very sun that bestowed energy upon the planet.

As quickly as his blood was spilled by the crimson sword, his body soon after had burst into flames, burning him into ash as fast as the crimson girl's gaze glanced away.

"-The stars were not in our favor."

"A jester could never hope to beat a queen, Aldebaran. It's time to give up, you could never beat me even with that strange power of yours, so just leave already while I'm still so kind."

"-Don't, call me by that name."

Al took a deep breath from under his helmet and with the count of three, he ran towards Priscilla, hoping that this time, it would be the last.

The reason Al and Priscilla were fighting. Or rather the reason Priscilla was slaughtering Al, was because of one reason, and one reason alone.

Not even a second into his rush, Priscilla side stepped to her side precisely dodging his blade, and with the spin of her weapon she thrusted the hilt of her crimson sword into Al abdomen.

The unexpected jolt of pain rushed through his body causing him to fall and gasp for the air that quickly left his lungs.

"For a jester, you look even more pathetic groveling on the floor than you normally do."

Trying to get back on his feet, Priscilla had kicked Al in the stomach, sending him flying towards the door like what had happened to him once before.

But unlike last time, Priscilla wasn't trying to kill him like she normally did.

"Hm- it's been at least 10,000 times now, no. Or maybe it was 100,000, for someone as small as you, it must have been painful knowing how weak you are.

"Princess–?"

The reason for the sudden brawl between the two was nothing serious, no.

It was more simple than it looked, because today was the day Al was supposed to go on break. For a month straight he wasn't supposed to interact with Priscilla or anything that had to do with royal selection. He wasn't even permitted to stay in the mansion either.

Anyone could see how terribly unfair this was, especially someone who had no other place to be or go, which without a doubt was Al.

For someone who had known nothing but fighting on the gladiator island, having to leave the mansion was something Al couldn't comprehend.

The one who was as cruel and ruthless as ever, he would have never known he would ever get a break.

Not even if the stars took him back, he wouldn't have ever thought he would have gotten a break. So the most logical thought to him was that Priscilla was being controlled by a foreign object.

"Princess! You're not being controlled are you?"

"No one even in their most wildest dreams could ever wish to control me."

"-Then why-?"

With a sniff, Priscilla opened her fan once more and covered her mouth from view, but in reality behind that cover, was a genuine smile.

"Even a dictator such as myself, rewards my men with the amount of work they put in. So that's why you'll leave this territory for a month without stepping a single foot on this land or I'll be taking your head."

With a shout and a random gust of wind, Al contorted his body as he was thrown out of the mansion.

The last thing he saw was the crimson red interior of the room leaving his vision as his face from inside his helmet turned pale.

The day was coming to a close and the stars twinkled as brightest as can be.

The sky was as dark as the void, with it only being lit up by the distant stars that appeared to shine its light onto the ground below. Al twisted his neck. Looking up at the sky he cursed the stars once more from under his helmet.

The stars had once again caused him problems.

"I was just unlucky."

Fiddling with his helmet and making a clang sound, Al stood up from the ground and walked and walked till the star's beautiful glare didn't shine on him any more.

And so he left the mansion, he left and never turned back. For a month he was not to come back. What was he going to do? he wondered.

"Heyy over here~"

"Ah-"

In the crowd of people, a figure waved at him from across the room.

The room was an old run down shack, the ones you'd see in old western movies, the ones with the cowboys and all. Al looked towards their direction and with a sigh, Al walked over to the figure.

The room was crowded, Al had to manuvior his way around the people, Al was sort of a big guy, so everytime he pushed or squeezed by someone they would look up and give him a mean look as if someone they hated was standing right next to them.

Upon approaching the figure, Al instantly looked down at the girl.

She wasn't tall, matter fact she was quite short and petite. She wore a red and white maid outfit, and had red marks on her face in the form of whiskers.

If he wanted to, he could've just said she resembled a cat, a very sly cat.

The only thing that stood out of place was the white bandages that covered her body.

Her arms, legs, torso, and neck were all wrapped in bandages. Al knew why, since it was his fault she wore these bandages. He didn't feel sad about it, so he just ignored it.

She was the one who caused him to act, so it was only natural he would act as if his life depended on it.

Because nonetheless, the girl was no one other than Yae tenzen. And also the girl Al would be staying with for the duration of the month.

"If you're calling me this late at night then…Ah- I guess my seduction plan has worked, huh!"
