*Shakes head* Sometimes I find myself really concerned for you guys' well-being.
*Ahem* HEY, HI, HELLO FELLO FANFICTIONERS! =D 'TIS ME, MOON, AND I'M BACK WITH ANOTHER STORY! =D
*Sighs* I feel like I've been gone for a while...but don't worry; I'm still aliveeeee. =) I've been planning this story for quite some time, and I'm super excited to share it with you guys. =D This fanfic features a dragon that I created back in 2020 (well, I imagined it...I still have yet to draw it, haha X)), so I think this story shall be quite the exciting one, especially if you're a fan of somewhat paranormal stuff and what not. =D
Also, I got a poll put up on my profile page! =D I wanted to try out the poll system, but I was also curious to see if you guys know where my pen name is from. =) So pleaseeeee put in a vote! =D I shall reveal the answer in the last chapter of this story, so you guys have a good amount of time to put in your vote. =) So vote away! =D
*Claps hands together* Anyway! This first chapter (er...prologue), is really short, but it's just an introduction to the new dragon. =) Chapter one will be posted shortly afterward, so I hope you guys enjoy this little prologue! =D
Prologue: The New Dragon
All was calm on Dragon's Edge. Everyone was tucked away in their huts, sleeping soundlessly, unaware and blind to the world around them. Everything was still, everything was quiet.
But something was even quieter.
A dragon of pure black laced through the clouds. Silently. Soundlessly. Just like a shadow. The clouds parted, seemingly making way for the almost invisible creature that blended in with the night sky. Eyes of amber flicked to the ground below; they glittered with satisfaction when it spotted the island down below. Dragon's Edge.
Finally, it had found the perfect place to nest. The island met all of its needs, and it was far, far away from its enemies. The dragon let out a roar unlike any other…It sounded like a croon, long and extended. Ominous, yet mysterious. The call rippled for miles like a siren until silence took over once again.
The dragon dived, wind whistling past its scales as it landed in the forests of Dragon's Edge. It didn't take long for it to find a cave at the base of the large mountain. It was hidden well, and deep enough for the dragon to hide in. The scaled creature shuffled inside, its scales cloaking into nothing as it entered.
No one on the Edge had stirred.
