Sup guys? Lighting wolf here, back with another story, this one about Ben Ten. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own Ben Ten, Cartoon Network and a few others do.

13-year-old Hope teleported into the ally. She continued running and looking over her shoulder.

Her dad had been murdered, slain by a monster known as Addwaitya. The young princess had been ushered to Earth by her uncle.

Then came Addwaitya's minions who followed them. Addwaitya was determined to have Ledgerdomain's throne. That meant even if it took butchering the entire ruling family to do it.

"Hope!" Hope heard her uncle yell. She could hear the roars of rock monsters. The very thing Hope conjured to protect them.

Her first magical creation as princess of Ledgerdomain… or whatever could be considered the equivalent of it on Earth.

"RUN!" Hex yelled, strange ghost like beings emerged from the portal. Hex had not encountered anything like them on Ledgerdomain's landscape.

Hope didn't need to be told twice. Her magic was weak, a single one of the ghosts would have killed her. Hope could only escape because of her uncle. And even he seemed overwhelmed by the sheer volume of monsters.

Hope ducked behind a dumpster. She waited till the sounds of spells flying and the ungodly hissing of the ghosts died out. Hope peeked out to see the ghosts had taken her uncle prisoner. Hope was alone on this planet.

"Why…" Hope questioned herself while pulling her knees to her body. The attack hit with such speed and force they hadn't been able to scrap together a counterattack. "What did he want from my father?" Hope asked herself while slowly pulling herself to her feet.

She could see nothing. Hope saw nothing but the dark night sky as rain poured down on her. As if things weren't terrible enough, it seemed nature itself hated her.

Hope walked down the abandoned road. She had nothing to go back to at the moment. Her people has been enslaved by a warlord. She didn't see Hex anywhere. Meaning he had either been killed like her father, or he was enslaved like everyone back home.

In one day, the princess of an entire dimension had managed to lose her home. Her family, and now any hope of trying to take back Ledgerdomain. She had no resources, no army with which to strike back at Addwaitya and his army of monsters. Hope had no idea what to do.

"I… Have to do something, though." Hope pointed out. She couldn't leave her people to suffer, she had to try at the very least.

Hope started walking down the road. She still had her rock monsters, and she had brought a spell book which included how she made said monsters. Hope checked soldiers off her list for the moment. That still left the business of finding a way to defeat Addwaitya and his army and getting stronger.

"Ugh…" Hope grunted as she looked around. There would be more of the ghost creatures back soon. Addwaitya wouldn't allow them to leave the princess behind.

Hope took off running once more. She made sure her bag was secured and continued to move. The more distance Hope put between here and Addwaitya's army? The better chance she had of living to be able to take back her home.

"Hmm…" Hope muttered as her spell book started to glow a dark magenta. Hope didn't notice it in the rain as lightning flared.

"Where do I go? What do I do?" Hope asked herself, unsure what to do at the moment. She needed time to prepare if she went back and fought Addwaitya.

Her people would think she abandoned them and grow complacent under the rule of Addwaitya. Hope wondered if enough time spent on here would cause Addwaitya to think her dead. No longer a threat to his rule of the entire dimension.

No, Hope refused to allow that to happen. She'd march into Ledgerdomain with an army at her back and kick the tyrant into the gutters. Hope had been deemed the princess of Ledgerdomain, and she would be that until she died.

Hope finally noticed the glowing spell book. She fished it out of her pocket and began to read it as it glowed.

"Dad?" Hope asked the book while the glowing grew more intense.

It was then the spell book spat something out like an old gumball. It was a person.

Author notes

Phew, first chapter done! I want to point out that Charmcaster is a lot more different in this dimension. Next chapter will be in several weeks and will show Charmcaster meeting the boy. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!

P.S: This story and Lucy are going to be slow to update due to abundance of stories I have soon.
