Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Magical Mysteries. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Ben Ten, Cartoon Network and a few others do.
The first sign something was wrong? When books decided to go flying at both Charmcaster and Conjure.
Charmcaster countered this with a magic shield which caused the books to fly around them.
"Should we run?" Conjure questioned, unsure if they were in a position to fight. "Because I don't know about this." Conjure put in and sighed.
That was when several figures began to emerge from the shadows of the book pillars. Ghost like figures which Charmcaster instantly recognized.
They were the minions of Addwaitya, this caused Charmcaster to turn to Conjure. He was busy trying to decide if they should stand their ground or not.
"Conjure, we need to go." Charmcaster put in as he blinked. "Now!" Charmcaster added while she dragged him towards the stairs.
"Why?" Conjure asked before Charmcaster pulled him to the stairs. "Why are we running?!" Conjure questioned which made Charmcaster sigh as she sighed.
Conjure said nothing and allowed her to pull him to the stairs. She was the princess after all.
"Those guys are with Addwaitya." Charmcaster stated which made Conjure's eyes widen. "We need to get…" Charmcaster started to say before someone cut them off.
One of the ghosts like figures appeared in front of them. Charmcaster held up her hands for a magic blast.
"You were saying?" Conjure questioned before he looked to the side. The ghost like figures started to surround him. "I don't think their going to want to chase us." Conjure put in as he started to prepare for a fight.
Conjure heard the woman at the desk gasp and shriek while she ran out of the building. Conjure wondered how people here were so ignorant of things. Then again? They were from another dimension.
Conjure sighed and cracked his fingers before he prepared for a fight with the villains. Charmcaster sighed and looked at Conjure.
One of the ghosts like figures charged Conjure who tossed a blast of magic at it. The ghost like alien turned invisible which made the magic blast phase right through it.
"Blast it." Conjure muttered before vaulting over the railing. He landed on one of the reading tables.
Charmcaster hummed and put 2 fingers to her lips and then let out a whistle.
One of the ghosts like creatures descended towards her before the doors exploded. One of Charmcaster's stone like creatures let out a howl before barreling into the building.
"Conjure!" Charmcaster yelled before Conjure turned to look at her. "We need to get out of here now!" Charmcaster put in which made Conjure blink as he hummed.
Conjure sighed before the stone like creature barreled into the ghost like figure. Conjure shook his head back and forth. He knew very well that Charmcaster wasn't lying.
But he didn't want to run away from anyone. If they gave ground here? Then Addwaitya would use it as ammo against them back home. He wasn't going to let that happen.
"Should I point out we don't exactly have anywhere to go?" Conjure questioned Charmcaster as he dodged one of the ghosts like aliens. He used his magic to toss a chair at the creatures.
It phased through the creature. Conjure rolled his eyes at this.
"Does anything actually hurt these guys?" Conjure questioned with a shake of his head.
One of the ghosts like creatures threw a chair back at him, sending Conjure sprawling across the floor. Conjure sighed and looked to the side.
"I cannot believe this." Conjure stated and cracked his neck. One of the creatures started to throw things back at Conjure. He hummed and looked to the side.
Conjure watched one of the creatures go flying from one of Charmcaster's attacks. He chuckled at this before running past the creature who was busy trying to collect itself.
Conjure watched another of the creature's lunge at Charmcaster only to be intercepted by one of her stone creatures.
"We aren't winning this fight that much at all." Conjure put in and turned to Charmcaster. "Are we?" Conjure questioned the princess.
Her frown was all the answer he needed to know that this was a fruitless endeavor. Conjure sighed and turned to look at his friend once more.
"What do we do then?" Conjure asked Charmcaster who sent one of the bookcases flying.
It passed through one of the ghosts but managed to hit another just behind it. Conjure rubbed at his temples and cracked his neck. He couldn't understand what would happen if the ghosts did catch them.
Then again? He had been absent the majority of the war when it came down to it. Conjure sighed and cracked his neck.
"She is never going to let me hear the end of this." Conjure put in and rolled his eyes.
Conjure tossed another blast of magic energy. It was avoided, but allowed Charmcaster to grab his arm and drag him past more of her stone creatures. They growled and went after the ghost like beasts.
Author notes
Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out that Conjure and Charmcaster will have more battles and I will try and make the magic scenes use more spells. Next chapter will be in 2-10 weeks and will show Conjure and Charmcaster regrouping for another plan and such. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
