Ten Years after the Eggman Wars, a broken Shadow the Hedgehog wanders a deserted wasteland, looking for a way to end it all. However, everything changes when Shadow gets intercepted by a mysterious force.

2. General Infinite

Chapter 2

The President kept himself in the white house, a massive building in the middle of New Westopolis. Despite the name, it was more accurately a large metal pyramid, with the President's office at the top. Inside was a maze of rooms and hallways that gradually fizzled out as you reached the top. But how could General Infinite refuse a special mission form the President himself?

After his defeat in the Eggman Wars, Infinite was forced to refuge in the desert for years until he was rescued by G.U.N. and brought in as an agent, rising the ranks slowly until he was recently appointed as a one star general.

He entered the Presidents office, the Presidents back turned to the door, looking out on the city below. "General Infinite. Thank you for joining me this fine day". The President turned around. He was an old man, over 60 years old, and he had complete heterochromia like Infinite. "The pleasure is all mine, sir. You said you had a mission for me".

"That I did! Please, take a seat". The President motioned to a chair across from his own. Infinite shook his head. "I hope you understand, but I'm much more comfortable standing up". The President nodded and sat down in his chair. ""I assume your familiar with Shadow the Hedgehog".

Infinite had flashbacks to the Eggman Wars, the humiliation he endured, the loss he had to go through, and the pain he suffered, all at the hands of that forsaken creature. Despite this, he managed to keep his voice call. "Of course. An experiment by Doctor Gerald Robotnik, gone deadly wrong".

The President nodded. "It seems you've done your research. I knew it was wise to promote you". Infinite nodded. The President continued. "It was presumed that he had died or been killed years ago, up until recently".

"You mean he's still alive?". Infinite was barely keeping his composure. The one thing that had brought him peace, the assumption that Shadow the Hedgehog had been killed years ago after the incident a decade ago, a lie.

The President finished. "That's why I called you here. I need you for an important assignment. I want you to kill Shadow the Hedgehog". The grin on Infinite's face was to big to hide.
