Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Magical Mysteries. Enjoy the 900-word chapter. I don't own Ben Ten, Cartoon Network and a few others do.

Conjure said nothing, only patting one of the creatures that Hope continued to spawn upon the head.

"Has the book told you anything?" Conjure questioned, looking across the room towards his friend. "You know the longer we stay here? The longer he has to track us down and that means the more trouble we're going to have." Conjure stated while he cracked his fingers.

Conjure could only hope Adawaitya didn't find them. He really DIDN'T want to see what the monster would do if they were caught off-guard. They had plenty of magical power between them, but it wasn't like they could simply fight them off easily. The dictator was FAR beyond what they could reasonably throw at them.

"You know it's easier to read when I DON'T have to respond to you?" Charmcaster questioned, looking up at the book which she held with her magic.

Conjure rolled his eyes and shook his head more and then started to make sure he was ready for a fight. He was quite curious about how often Charmcaster was going to march around like she owned it. Then again? She was the princess for their home realm, it wasn't like she DIDN'T have the authority to really try and march around at the moment.

Still? It didn't help them keep a low profile on this planet with things like that. He slowly started to toss a small fireball from one hand to the other as he hummed.

"Well, these creatures are pretty strong, but they're not going to win any war at the moment." Conjure stated while he concentrated at the magic fireball which glowed red hot in his hands. "Besides, I wouldn't get cocky, Hope. You let your guard down? You lose, you lose BADLY when it comes down to it. I just don't want either of us to get hurt currently." Conjure added as he slowly dispelled the fireball while he hummed to himself currently.

He looked around the dusty and decrepit house, it held nothing for them but a hideaway from their enemies. This rotting place wasn't their home, it was a prison built to contain them, to smother them and leave them to die upon. Adawaitya was probably sitting back at Ledgerdomain, mocking them for being trapped on this planet and being forced to watch.

Conjure's hands glowed with magic as he thought about how they could go home…. But they stopped as he looked up at the moldy low hanging roof. Adawaitya wanted that, he wanted them to come charging back, right into one of his traps where they could easily be hunted down and killed like rats.

"We need to leave sooner or later, though." Conjure stated as he rubbed at his temples. "If those ghosts come here? We're not going to last." Conjure stated while he cracked his fingers and slowly slumped back into his chair.

Conjure was curious as to what Charmcaster planned on doing, she was smart, but her arrogance was constantly stabbing her in the back. He knew how much potential she had; her uncle had been pointing it at the moment. He was curious how this could go. Conjure was still flabbergasted as to what was coming next, the number of steps they had to take was quite curious.

'Then again? She is the princess of an entire realm and plus one of the strongest witches in the world, I guess faulting her for that isn't really on me.' Conjure thought to himself as Charmcaster folded her feet under her, rubbing at her temples as she started to think about how this plan came to fruition.

Charmcaster was hopeful, she wanted to imagine that they could walk back home. She wanted to sit in her throne, ruling over the rest of the realm, pondering how well this could go. She wanted to be home, she wanted to have her people around her…. But that required battle, it required sacrifice, wisdom.

Charmcaster was going to be the tip of their alien spear, eager to be the warrior she wanted herself to be. Charmcaster looked at Conjure who turned to pet one of them on the head, rubbing at his chin as he did so.

"Yes, we have to leave soon, but I don't know where we are going to die." Charmcaster stated as she rubbed at her chin. "I don't know what the plan is from here. I don't know the plan yet." Charmcaster added as she pushed aside a rotting piece of wood.

He clicked his fingers, snapping them together as magic surged through his body.

"Leave and getting somewhere better when it comes down to it." Conjure stated as he hummed, eager to get this done and over with.

This was going to be ridiculous, but it was all they had planned in the back of their minds. He needed it to work.
