I would like to thank everyone who reviewed, favorited or followed this story since I last updated it.
Ellismskd24: Yep, you pretty much hit the nail on the head, and now that the baby seal actually helped DJ, things sort of came full circle.
WeirdAlfan101: Glad to see you enjoyed the Ridonculous Race cameos, and they may or may not be some foreshadowing. I really enjoyed doing Gwen's little speech to Cody to motivate him to keep going, and you are right, it's a damn shame they didn't get more scenes together to show off their friendship. Now that Alejandro has finally been brought down. I totally understand why you want Cody to win, but I'm glad you're open to DJ winning too. Don't worry though, I think I have a way to satisfy both sides.
Frosty Wolf: Thanks, I'm glad to see you liked it. Yeah, I'm kind of sad to see the story come to an end too, but it's not over yet, so no need for tears. I'm glad to see you enjoyed the Ridonculous Race cameo, and that you share my opinion on that season as a whole. As for DJ and the fangirls, I personally don't believe there are such things as sane fan girls. If there are, then I haven't seen any as of yet. The interactions between Cody and Gwen were something that I really enjoyed doing, but now Gwen has a new problem in the form of Sierra. Alejandro's defeat has been a long time coming. You're right about both DJ and Cody deserving the win. I get your feelings on Cody, he's one of my personal favorite characters too, but DJ is one of those characters that doesn't get anywhere near as much credit as he deserves, which is part of the reason why I wrote this story to begin with.
Zoryan El Muerto: Thanks, I'm glad to see you liked it. Yep, now that Alejandro is finally out of the running, it's down to DJ and Cody to fight it out for the million, and you pretty much described both of them to a T. DJ's confrontation with the baby seal had two purposes. One, have DJ finally make amends with the biggest reminder of his animal curse. Two, it turned out to be the biggest instrument of his victory over Alejandro. You're right though, by helping DJ with overcoming his animal curse, Alejandro ended up creating the instrument of his defeat. You pretty much hit the nail on the head in regards to the finale though, since both DJ and Cody deserve to win.
Brocknedjar: Thanks, I'm glad to see you liked it. The Ridonculous Race cameos were pretty fun to do. Just wait, I've got a bunch of ideas in store for the finale.
Romeoaifesili: Yep, a lot happened in this chapter. Glad to see that you liked how Gwen chose to motivate Cody, and that you caught onto the Team Four Star reference. I always appreciate when someone notices those. Yep, DJ understands what it means to be hounded by crazy fan girls. The baby seal was sort of meant to bring DJ's character arc full circle, since in this chapter it went from being out for DJ's blood to helping him stop Alejandro. Since this isn't the only season that takes place around the world, I thought it would be cool to have a few Ridonculous Race competitiors make cameos, hence why I brought in Kitty and the Goths.
OmnipotentUIJudgeOfCharacterOG: Yep, the Ridonculous Race cameos were pretty fun to include. I always enjoy doing the Gwody interactions. Glad to see you think DJ was the MVP of the chapter, from overcoming his fears and guilt over the animal curse to convincing it to help him stop Alejandro, leading to his watery defeat. Now it's DJ and Cody in the finale, a final that I highly doubt many people would've thought about.
Guest: Yep, Alejandro finally got his long awaited defeat, and DJ and Cody are both going to the finale. You're right, either one of them deserves it. The seal was meant to bring DJ's animal curse arc full circle, and the Gwody interaction I always enjoy doing. As for who's going to win the final challenge, you're just going to have to wait and see.
Guest: No worries O, Cody is one of my favorite characters, and I think he deserves a chance to shine on his own without anyone having to carry him.
SuperSonicHeroes: Yep, Alejandro finally got what he deserves, and now DJ and Cody are going to the finale, and either one of them deserves it. I get what you're saying about Cody, but I do have a pretty sizable soft spot for him, and I wanted to give him a chance to shine on his own. I won't say who's going to win though. I'm glad you approve of the Ridonculous Race cameos, and that you share my opinion on that season. Crimson and Ennui being friends with Gwen, that one is kind of obvious, but I figured Kitty would be a good one to include. That Total Drama Do Over fic you mentioned sounds pretty interesting. I'll have to check that out sometime.
Shreks Special Sauce: Thanks, I'm glad to see you liked it. Yep, Alejandro was never meant to go to the finale, and here he finally got his long awaited defeat.

In typical fashion, Chris started off the new episode with a recap of the previous one, only now he was doing it on the shores of Hawaii "Last time on Total Drama World Tour: The three remaining contestants took off like bats out of Drumheller, but unfortunately, Cody ended up bringing that plane wrecking goth girl Gwen along for the ride. On the bright side, we had a good old fashioned sword fight between Alejandro and DJ, the latter of whom finally made amends with a certain baby seal from the Yukon, and that led to him getting a spot in the finals. In the end, Cody and DJ were the first two to reach Hawaii and wound up as the finals for this season, while Alejandro was left to face a long awaited watery defeat, courtesy of DJ and his new hype man in the form of that seal. Who will come out of the final challenge on top, and finally go home with the grand prize of one million dollars? Is it going to be the the smart but scrawny and potentially horny geek in the form of Cody, or the big lovable jock in the form of DJ? Well we're about to find out, right here and right now, on the epic grand finale of Total! Drama! World Tour!"
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
The sun was shining over the skies above Hawaii.
"How's it going everyone?" Chris picked up where he left off in the recap, from his place in a lounge chair on the beach "Let me welcome all of you to the grand finale of Total Drama World Tour! We asked our two finalists to record our thoughts in the confessional before going into the final challenge."
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
(Confessional- The new one that wasn't blown up- DJ)
"This was… pretty crazy to say the least." DJ let out a long sigh "I mean it wasn't even halfway through the season that I was ready to give it all up and go home, and in Jamaica I thought that was about to happen. But then Izzy got hurt, I got put onto Alejandro's team, and it kind of went from there. In kind of a weird way, as horrible as this probably sounds, I wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for Izzy. Things got pretty crazy after that, with Duncan returning, Cody and Gwen kissing and becoming a couple, and all the stuff with Courtney and Duncan going down, and all the while it came back to Alejandro. Nobody hurts my friends and gets away with it, and he didn't. Now I guess the only thing left to do is give it my all. At least I got to spend the season with my friends, and even make a few new ones like Cody and Noah, and Heather was actually pretty good to me too for awhile."
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
(Confessional- Cody)
"Holy crap, this is totally insane!" Cody's eyes lit up with excitement "I actually made it all the way to the final two, I can't believe how close I am to getting the million dollars! There's just one big thing, really big thing, standing in my way: DJ. Against just me. I know this might sound weird out loud, but I kind of wish Gwen or Noah were back here with me." then he let out a sigh "Still, it isn't anywhere near as bad as it could've been. DJ was pretty cool to me this season, and in a way, I guess I kind of owe it to him that I'm with Gwen at all. He told me to be myself, and I guess it did pay off. Truth be told, if there's anyone I'd have to square off against, I'm glad it's him."
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
The time for the final challenge was upon them.
"Alright, it's about that time." Chris gathered DJ and Cody down on the beach, with two bleachers on each side of them "Now it's time for you guys to give an official greeting to the contestants that either didn't qualify this season, or got dropped out of a plane like a pack of suckers." he gestured to where the others were making their way to the various bleachers "And now everyone among the pack of losers is gonna have to take a seat in one of the bleachers, and which one you pick is going to represent which finalist you want to win the million dollar grand prize."
"Hey guys, great to see you." Cody and DJ waved at the various contestants, but then the former spotted Gwen in the crowd (her leg in a cast and she was being forced to use a set of crutches), and the two of them exchanged a small smile "Hey."
"Hey." Gwen made her way over to him "I know it's been about a day, but how are you holding up?"
"I was about to ask you that, mainly for a few reasons." he glanced down at her cast, then over at where Sierra was glaring in their direction "That being at the top of the list."
"Yeah, funny thing about that. After we got here and the interns took me away to get my injuries treated, she came into my hospital room and, well…"
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
(Let the flashback commence)
"You've gotta be kidding me…" Gwen looked up from her sketchbook and found Sierra glaring at her with the evil eye "Are we really doing this right now? Know that I have no problem with calling security and-"
"Silence!" Sierra's glare hardened as she got closer "It's come to my attention that you and Cody have officially…" she paused, as if trying to force herself not to wretch "Become a couple."
"Yeah, it became a thing awhile ago."
"Don't interrupt. You know of my distaste for you, which has only grown stronger since this happened. Marrying Cody was my dream, but now thanks to you, that chance is gone."
"I might be in a hospital bed, but I can still shove my good leg up your-"
"I said don't interrupt. What I want to know is why?" she was met with a raised eyebrow "You had three seasons to have your chance with Cody, but you wasted the first two on Trent, and that ended in a disaster. And don't lie to me, I'll know."
"...So we're doing this."
"Yes."
"Fine, the hell with it." Gwen let out a sigh as she put away her sketchbook "Look, it's not that I didn't like Cody. I mean granted I found him annoying for a while, but he was still one of the few people on this show that I could call sane. But I didn't show any interest in him for the same reason why things fell apart with Trent in Action: He wasn't being himself. To put it bluntly, the kind of guy I like is one who isn't afraid to be himself. I only got a glimpse of that side of Cody back on the island, but I could tell that he was a sweet and gentle guy. Then when he let up on that stupid wanna be jock act, I got to see the real him, and I wanted to give him a chance, and I don't regret that even now."
"...I see." Sierra studied her intently, then nodded in approval "You're telling the truth, the feelings you have for him are genuine."
"And you needed to see that for yourself?"
"I did, and now I have." Sierra moved to leave, but she stopped once she reached the doorway and turned back towards Gwen "I had to be sure he was with someone who would treat him with the respect he deserves, something he's been denied in the past by many girls. I saw the way you acted with him on the island, and I feared that you would be one of those girls. I thought that I was the only one who would treat him with the respect and compassion he's been denied by those bimos and harlots, and I thought you would turn out to be no different from them."
"I thought you just said-"
"But as much as I hated it, after I was eliminated, I saw the way the two of you interacted with each other throughout the rest of the season. He protected you from Chef's cooking, you showed an interest in what he liked, you gave him the boosts in confidence that he needed to keep moving forward… You even remembered his birthday and made it feel special for him."
"So then-"
"Don't think this means we're friends. I'll tell you now, and this is the only warning you're going to get from me. If you hurt him in any way, I will hunt you down." and then she walked out of the room, leaving Gwen alone and thoroughly freaked out.
(Flashback end)
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Now back to the present day…
"Oh. Wow." Cody blinked as he took in the details of that story "Well it could be worse, at least she didn't try to strangle you."
"My thoughts exactly." Gwen gave a shrug and gave him a quick kiss on the lips "Looks like it's about time for things to get started."
"Yeah you heard yourself gothball, get over to the stands." Chris was met with a crutch hitting him in the kneecap "Ow!"
"You've had that coming even more than Heather does." Gwen gave him a certain finger gesture, then gave Cody a small smile before making her way back over to the bleachers.
"Remind me never to invite her back to this show again."
"I doubt she's gonna want to come back again." Cody shared a grin with DJ, but then he noticed something off in the stands "Why do you think Alejandro is sitting in my stands?"
"Who knows, maybe he just wants you to win." DJ gave a shrug, but then the two of them burst out laughing "No, it's probably because Heather is in my corner. For some reason. Truth be told she was pretty good to me."
"Yeah, she never really treated me that bad either. Weird."
"Kind of."
"Alright, enough awkward small talk." Chris directed everyone's attention to him "Time to get this underway. DJ, Cody, the two of you now have a chance to tell the members of the peanut gallery what each of you would do with the million dollars if you won. DJ, you're up first."
"Well honestly, I'm just proud of myself for making it as far as I did, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to try. I promised my momma that I'd buy her a bus and house with the money, but that's still gonna leave me with a lot of cash. I figured I'd do some travelling with momma and a few friends of mine, go to culinary school, and maybe open my own restaurant." he was met with a modest amount of cheers and applause.
"Wow, that's actually pretty sweet. Boring as hell, but still sweet. Cody, what about you?"
"Like DJ said, I'm grateful to have made it as far as I have." Cody gave a shrug "If I can survive the kind of stuff, my senior year is gonna be in the bag. I know for a fact that if I win, I'd want to split the million with Gwen, but that would still leave me with a lot of money. I figured I'd use the money to travel around the world, do stuff that doesn't involve risking my life, go to the college I want, and Noah and I were actually talking about starting our own software development company after all of that, and that would be a great way to get it started." Cody too was met with a moderate amount of cheers and applause.
"Again, kind of sweet but also boring as hell. Anything else you want to add?"
"Well there is one thing we were both talking about." DJ and Cody glanced at each other, and the two of them shared a grin "Owen did promise us a huge yacht party back on Wawanakwa that he never got to give us, so I figured we'd use $100,000 of the million to fulfill that promise on his behalf." now that got a thunderous amount of cheers and applause from almost everyone in the two bleachers.
"There we go, now that's a way to spend a million bucks." Chris gave a nod of approval "Now then, the time has come for us to get things underway, for real this time. It's my pleasure to tell all of you that the peanut gallery is going to be playing a pretty sizable role in choosing which one of you us going to win it all."
"You mean they're going to be voting for the winner like last season?" asked Cody.
"Nope! Keep in mind that I only had you guys vote for the winner last season because it was a tiebreaker situation. I don't like to repeat myself anymore than I have to, keep in mind that this show is mostly about originality."
"And being one of the only shows that lets people see live vomit." Noah pointed out dryly.
"That is also true. Now then, all of you prepare to have your minds blown right out of your heads by the most lethal challenge in the history of Total Drama! We've got DJ… vs Cody..vs the mighty VOLCANO!" he had the interns present two mats on the beach, one being blue for Cody and the other being green for DJ "You see, back in the day, human sacrifices were tossed into the volcano known as Kilauea in order to appease the Hawaiian gods, but sadly the lawyers tell me that I'm not allowed to use real people as sacrifices, not even the interns. Anyway, in this challenge the two of you will have to make sacrificial standins using the most abundant resources on the island, those being driftwood and pineapples. And in order to make it nice and symbolic, you guys are gonna have to make dummies of each other to dump in the heart of the volcano. Also, each of you are gonna be allowed to pick three helpers from the peanut gallery to help you with winning the final challenge. Choose wisely, there aren't gonna be any take backs."
"Let's see here…" DJ frowned in thought as he scanned the peanut gallery, and then his face lit up when he spotted a few former contestants "Duncan?"
"Sure why not, it's better than sitting on my ass doing nothing." Duncan gave a shrug as he took a step forward and caught DJ in a high five.
"Geoff?"
"You know it bro, we're all yours!" Geoff stepped forward and pulled Duncan and DJ into a tight hug "You know it bros, the Bass Kickers are back together again!"
"Awesome!"
"Neither of us agreed to that name." Duncan pointed out dryly.
"Come on man, let him have this. Anyway, Chris said three so…"
"I'll support DJ." to the surprise of everyone, this was when Heather stepped up to the plate, earning a series of gasps and jaws dropping from the others "What? Like I said, from a logical standpoint he's the favorite to win. Besides, he's one of the few people here that hasn't annoyed me in any significant way."
"...Okay yeah, fair enough."
"Also, I'm expecting a cut of the million for this."
"And that makes a lot more sense." Duncan noted dryly.
"Yeah, great for enthusiasm." Cody looked around at the peanut gallery "Well since Gwen is hurt that rules her out, so is anyone else willing to help me?"
"That other team is going down!" Sierra bolted to his side.
"Uh… anyone else?"
"For one of my fellow Drama Brothers." Harold was quick to step forward "Consider all of my mad skills to be entirely at your disposal."
"Awesome! So for the last one, I'm thinking Noah, Tyler, Trent or-"
"Allow me to support our little friend here." this was when Alejandro stepped up to the plate, which earned a large number of gasps and murmuring from the crowd.
"Um… what are you doing?"
"I'm simply proving a point that you demonstrate well. While skills and physical strength are an important attribute to victory, you require the intellect to use them properly, and if recent events have shown, you have that in spades."
"Um… okay then."
"Also, I will require a small fraction of the grand prize in the event that you win."
"Oh. That makes more sense."
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
(Confessional)
"I know a petty grudge when I see it." Duncan rolled his eyes "Knowing Heather and Alejandro, I bet the two of them are trying to win vicariously through DJ and Cody. If they can't win, the least they can do is piss each other off. I kind of dig that."
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Back with the challenge…
"Looks like it's about that time. glanced over at his helpers, then turned towards DJ and held out a fist to him "Good luck DJ. If I have to lose to anyone, I'm glad that it's you."
"That goes both ways little buddy." DJ caught him in a fist bump "As far as I'm concerned, may the best man win. And it's good to know that whatever happens, we're gonna get that end of the season party."
"Alright, that's enough of the mushy stuff." Chris was quick to ruin the moment "Now that we have our helpers, it's time to get started with the challenge. DJ and Cody, the two of you have to stay on those mats and direct your helpers to bring you logs, driftwood and pineapples that bear a resemblance to parts of your opponent, and to make things a little bit more rhymey…" and cue the chime that everyone hates.
"...I'm gonna strangle you one of these days." was all Duncan said.
"Someday, but not today, now get out there and start singing."
"Well if it's the last song…" DJ and Cody shared a look, and the former started off the song as he turned towards Duncan, Geoff and Heather "My buddies, just head straight! That's it, you're doing great! Search through that wood, tout de suite, find me some tiny feet!"
Cody was quick to take over the next verse as he directed Alejandro and the others "Come on guys, move it fast! Quit quick, I won't be last! Grab logs to match his frame, all overbuilt and lame!"
"I'm gonna win it yeah, and you can't take it no!"
"I'm right here in it yeah, but you just fake it!"
"Got it!" Geoff held out a piece of wood to DJ "Is this thigh here scrawny enough?"
"You bet!" DJ gave a thumbs up.
"Hey!" Cody let out an offended yelp.
"Gosh, is this neck thick enough?" and then Harold took over with another rap solo "Now it's time for us to pick it, Cody's cool but DJ's wicked and all this agro for the cheddar, he'll just put DJ here though the shredder!"
"That's it now, hurry back!" DJ urged Duncan and Heather to keep bringing him logs "I need some arms weak and slack! His muscles are scrawny and flat, and he isn't all that!"
"Oh that's it!" Cody was quick to start pushing Sierra and the others harder "Get me too knobby knees, with arms like logs of cheese! Bring me a big fat head, move quicker or we're all dead!"
"I'm gonna win it, yeah! And you can't take it, no!"
"I'm right here in it yeah! But you just fake it!"
"Arms so right it's ill!" Heather connected the arms onto DJ's dummy "It's worth one fifth of a mill!"
"I'll pay you back somehow! Pineapple head me now!" DJ beckoned with one finger.
This time, Cody was the one to start off the chorus "I'm gonna win it, yeah! And you can't take it, no!"
"I'm right here in it, yeah! But you just fake it!"
"I'm gonna cash it, yeah! You'll never hit it, no! You should trash it, yeah!"
"Cause I just did it!" by the end of the song, DJ had his dummy fully assembled, with Cody's still missing its head.
"And just like that, DJ takes the lead!" Chris made the call "The next step is for the two of you to the top of Kilauea and toss them into the volcano. Also word to the wise, you might wanna keep an eye out for the backsplash." then he turned to the camera "We're gonna be right back with the hardcroe lavarific sizzling action right here, on the grand finale of Total! Drama! World Tour!"
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
One commercial break later…
"So let me see if I've got this." Cody glanced over at a scorched intern being taken away in a wheelchair by Chef, and then he turned to Chris "You really expect us to climb up to the top of an active volcano and throw these dummies in there without any safety equipment?"
"Hey come on man, you know how that old saying goes." Chris gave a shrug "No excruciating pain means no million dollar gain."
"...I don't know what I was expecting when I asked that." Cody glanced over at DJ, and the two of them cringed.
"Anyway, to help you with getting those dummies up to the top of the volcano, you're allowed to use the rewards that the representatives from each of your teams earned on your behalf in the lava surfing challenge during the last aftermath. Alejandro won a wheelbarrow, too bad he's out of the running, but DJ won a baby stroller, and Cody earned diddly squat. Anyway DJ, since you won the first challenge, that earns you a 20 second head start."
"Got it. See you guys at the top!" DJ gave a friendly wave to Cody and the others, and then he grabbed his dummy and tossed his dummy into the baby stroller, only for it to get crushed under the weight, so he just picked up the dummy in his arms and took off along the path leading up the volcano.
"And there he goes."
"Come on, come on…" Cody gritted his teeth as he tried to move his dummy, to no avail "Oh come on!"
"Yeah, this is gonna be pretty one sided."
"If I may." this was when Alejandro stepped forward "Since I'm serving as Cody's helper, does that not mean he should be allowed to use my reward from the aftermath?"
"Sure why not, you might as well make it a little bit closer."
"Excellent." Alejandro picked up Cody's dummy and threw it into the wheelbarrow "You had best get moving amigo, I hear that everyone is waiting up at the top of the volcano. Gwen is among them as well, and you wouldn't want her to see you fail so pitifully would you?"
"...I hate the whole manipulation thing, but I've gotta admit, when it works in your favor it feels awesome." gritting his teeth, Cody grabbed hold of the wheelbarrow and started up the volcano path after DJ.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
(Confessional)
"I know what Alejandro and Heather doing. Since they couldn't win it all for thensekves, they want a cut of it and to oneup each other." Cody let out a sigh "They're using me and DJ to try and win vicariously. Oh well, at least Alejandro's on my side, and even if I can't beat DJ, I don't wanna go down without a fight."
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Meanwhile, along the volcano-side path…
"I still can't believe it…" DJ continued his way along the path up the volcano, musing to himself as he did so "I made it momma, and now I'm gonna win it for you…" it was then that he heard a loud wheezing noise coming from behind him "What the heck?"
"I'm not… done yet… not by… a long shot…" as it turns out, Cody was slowly trecking his way up the path after DJ, wheezing and panting heavily as he carried the dummy in the wheelbarrow "I hate my… lack of muscle tone…"
"Gotta give it to you little buddy, I'm pretty impressed by the grit you're showing. But don't think I'm gonna make it easy for you."
"I'd be insulted… if you did… See you at the top… when I got the million…"
"Funny thing, I was about to say the same thing to you." DJ gave a playful grin as he continued moving forward, only to be forced to screech to a halt when he saw that lying in front of him was a river of lava "What in the-?!"
"Hey check it big guy, we're over here!" Chris waved at DJ and Cody from where he and Chef stood on the other side of the river, catching Chef in a high five in the process "Did you see that look on his face? That was totally worth every intern!"
"What the… (bleep)..." Cody let out another wheeze as he came to a stop in front of the river of lava alongside DJ "You've gotta be… kidding me…"
"There's only one way for the two of you to get to the top of the volcano, and that means you have to get past this river of lava. That means the wheelbarrow probably isn't going to be of too much help to either of you."
"But how do we get across?" asked DJ.
"By using your eyes big guy. All you have to do is hop across with your dummy using these stepping stones. That's easy peasy, hot and cheesy. But to make things more dangerous, we took the liberty of rigging it from above with a fair number of boobytraps too, so as you've probably already guessed, that's gonna make things a lot more interesting."
"You mean dangerous."
"That I do. Chef, a quick demo of the booby traps if you please."
"Don't mind if I do." Chef quickly pulled a machete out of god only knows where, and then he used it to cut one of the ropes, causing one of the objects in question to fall into the lava, where it was promptly incinerated before it could even touch it, much to the horror of both DJ and Cody, if the looks on their faces were anything to go by. As for your helpers, they can either keep these things secured up there or send them falling onto your opponent to give you an advantage. That choice is up to you. Now go!"
"This is so gonna hurt in the morning." Cody gritted his teeth as he picked up his dummy and tried to hop his way across, though just a few steps in he was left heavily panting again "Crap… again with the… lack of muscle… Stop him… Now…"
"You can count on my mad skills!" Harold and Sierra both advanced, only to find Duncan and Geoff standing in their way "Get out of our way good sirs."
"No can do bro, we're helping one of our fellow Bass Kickers win!" Geoff stood firm in front of the ropes, with Duncan by his side.
"Hey look, Bridgette in nothing but a skimpy two piece!" Sierra pointed off in some random direction, which prompted Geoff to take off running into the jungle.
"She's not even here you dumbass, she's at the top of the volcano with the others!" Duncan tried to call after him, only to receive no response, and so he let out a groan "(Bleep)!"
"That's one of the benefits of being the number one blogger, you know everyone's strengths and weaknesses!"
"That you do milady, just like this dork of a punk is about to experience my mad skills first hand, just like his obsessively violent girlfriend did in the surfing challenge!" Harold was about to charge forward, only to be met with a hand around his throat.
As it turns out, Duncan had grabbed Harold by the neck and slammed him into the ground, his voice low and his expression one of rage "You talk about Courtney like that again, and I'll throw you into the lava myself!" he tossed Harold away and set his sights on Sierra, and then the two of them began to wrestle on the ground "Go ahead and give me your best shot already you crazy stalker bitch! I'll throw down with a woman, I don't give a (bleep)!"
"Evidently you have strange taste in teammates." Alejandro glanced over where Geoff had run off to, and then towards where Duncan and Sierra were wrestling on the ground, and he tried to cut one of the rops, only to be grabbed by the shirt by Heather and dragged back a few feet, but he was able to power through her grip and cut one of the ropes.
"Come on… Come on…" Cody managed to force himself forward onto one of the rocks just in time to avoid being hit by a falling safe "What the-?!"
"Apologies amigo! It appears that they never bothered to label which rope was which!"
"Chef, you got any input on that?" Chris glanced over at Chef with a raised eyebrow, only to be met with a shrug, to which he let out a chuckle "Nice one, way to commit to it."
"...Yes, I suppose that figures." Alejandro let out a sigh as he glanced back at Heather, and he was quick to stop her from reaching the ropes herself "Perhaps it is time for you to admit that you are outclassed, and if you quit now then I may share some of my own winnings with you."
"Yeah well, no freaking way Jose!" Heather broke free of his grip and made another beeline for the ropes, only to be grabbed by the ankle by Alejandro, though she was taken aback by the furious and murderous look in his eyes.
"Never. Call me that. AGAIN!"
"Eesh, what crawled up your ass and died?"
"Jose always has to win. ALWAYS!"
"Gonna need more than that."
"My elder brother, he lives to make me miserable just like, like-"
"An older brother? That's their job, and I have two so I'd know. They literally exist for no other reason."
"Jose is worse than all of them combined! He always punches me in the arm, gives me noogies, humiliates me in front of his friends-"
"Stereotypical big brother stuff."
"-and he always calls me Al just because he knows I hate it!"
"...Al hates being called Al huh?" Duncan glanced over at Heather with a smirk spreading across his face.
"So that's how it is." Heather gained a smirk of her own "Well gosh Al, Owen must have gone and called you Al like a hundred times, and probably even more since Al got eliminated. Well Al, it sucks to be you does't it Al? How about it Al?"
"Be silent you malvada bruja!" Alejandro barked at her, only to be grabbed by one of his pant legs by Duncan and thrown to the ground "Get off me you worthless jail rat!"
"Not today Al!" Heather's smirk widened as she grabbed a machete and cut one of the ropes, releasing a cage that rapped DJ inside of it "NO!"
"Yes"
"Oh god… oh god…" this was when Cody finally reached the other side of the river and fell to his knees, practically gasping for air "Finally… made it…" it was then that he found himself being hoisted into the air, along with his dummy "What the-"
"Come amigo, you have a victory to claim, and compensation to hand out to those who had helped you so generously." as it turns out, Alejandro had helped Cody to his feet, along with Sierra and Harold, and he was now carrying Cody's dummy, and then he glanced over at Heather with his typical confident smirk "I truly hope you arrive in time to see this victory. Perhaps once this game of ours has come to an end…"
"Are you seriously hitting on me now?" Heather shot him a dry look.
"Don't flatter youself. See you later senorita loser!" and then he and the rest of Cody's party took off, dragging Cody's exhausted form with them.
"I will destroy you with my own hands you piece of (insert stream of bleeps)!" Heather charged after them in a rage.
"...Well that happened." Duncan let out a pained groan as he pulled himself to his feet, and then he glanced over to see Geoff sulking his way towards them "About freaking time you came back. So how long did it take before you realized-"
"Longer than I'm proud of bro. Longer than I'm proud of." Geoff hung his head in shame, but this only lasted for a second as the two of them glanced over to where DJ still sat trapped in a cage on one of the rocks "Come on bro, don't just sit there like a lump! You can still win this!"
"Forget it you guys, it's over…" DJ let out a sigh as he hung his head "I guess I just wasn't meant to win this."
"It's not over you jackass, now get the (bleep) up!" Duncan barked at him "Look if you win or lose this thing then fine, cause better the geek get the money than Heather or Aleahandjob, but you shouldn't lose this thing just because you don't have the guts to see this through. Whether you win or lose this thing or whatever, you're not gonna quit like some kind of pathetic coward. Besides, do you think your mom would wanna see you quit?"
"...No. No she wouldn't." so DJ stood upright, took a deep breath, gritted his teeth, and with one large burse of strength he pushed the cage over, allowing him to crawl out, but before he left he glanced back at the two of them and gave a broad smile "Well what are you guys waiting for? We have a race to win."
"You serious dude?" asked Geoff.
"Heck yeah I'm serious. You two have always been there for me, there isn't anyone else I'd rather have by my side when I win this." and so he took off, with Duncan and Geoff both following right behind him.
"Bass Kickers for life!"
"Still not calling us that!" was Duncan's input.

Hours passed and the sun was beginning to set as the race began to draw to a close.
"Huh, looks like they're gonna melt." Chris (being kept cool by a series of giant ice cubes and a giant fan) over at where the former contestants were all sweating heavily "Maybe we should get a new cast for next season." then he glanced over at Chef "So how about it, you know about any season three wrap parties?"
"I'm not giving you that chick's phone number." Chef told him flatly, then walked away.
"Well whatever, here comes one of them now!"
Sure enough, Alejandro and the rest of Cody's helpers, along with Cody himself, came hurtling up the side of the volcano, a malicious smirk palsrered across his face "I believe one million dollars is in order."
"Oh, is this what you're looking for?" Chris gave a grin as he held up the case "There's still one thing left to do, but you're not gonna be the one to do it."
"Unfortunately you are correct. Now then Cody my little friend, you have a challenge to finish and a million dollars to win. Just make sure not to forget who it was that got you this far."
"Right." so Cody took the dummy from Alejandro's hands and dragged it towards the volcano, and he locked eyes with Gwen, a tense silence falling between the two of them.
Gwen finally broke it when she made her way towards Cody on her crutches, and she gave him a reassuring smile "Go ahead and finish it, you've earned it."
"Got it." so with his resolve renewed, Cody prepared to finally throw his dummy into the heart of the volcano, until…
"Hold the (bleep) up!" this was when Heather came bursting up the path to the top of the volcano, practically gasping for breath "So hot… steep climb… trying to… catch my breath…"
"So you've arrived to witness the inevitable." Alejandro turned to face her, his typical charming smirk spreading across his face "Even in the face of defeat, you are the epitome of beauty."
"The hell with it…" then she fell to her knees, tears brimming in her eyes "I spent three seasons trying to get to this point, but now you're just gonna take your stupid conselation prize or whatever the hell you're calling it, and then you'll vanish from my life forever… Just let Cody throw his stupid doll that's bigger than he is into the volcano already!"
"Hey!" Cody let out an offended yelp.
"Shut up and get it over with!"
"Which raises the question." Alejandro's smirk grew a little bit wider as he slowly made his way over to Heather "Which are you more upset about losing, the prize money… or me?"
"...Are you out of your freaking mind?!" she started blushing "There would be a cold day in the depths of hell before I let myself fall for a jerk like you!"
"Then why are you blushing?"
"Hello, we're right beside the hottest thing on the planet?"
"Yeah." that came from Chris while he was slurping on a coconut, still surrounded by a giant fan and man-sized ice cubes.
"...I'm not even gonna comment on that."
"Probably for the best." Alejandro helped Heather to her feet as he continued prodding against her ego "Why don't you just go ahead and admit it: You're in love with me!"
"What?! I don't love you, I love-" she cut herself short when she realized what she said, but the damage was done in the form of Alejandro gaining a huge shit-eating grin, and the others letting out a series of shocked gasps from most of the others.
"Seriously? It was pretty obvious when you think about it." Noah on the other hand, he looked back at the others and gave a shrug.
"Hate, I hate you is what I meant to say."
"Believe me senorita, I know exactly what you meant." Alejandro's gaze turned warm and, for once, genuine "And I must confess that at first, yes my efforts were purely strategic."
"Can the confessing wait? We're kind of on a schedule here bro." Chris pointed out, only to be ignored by everyone present.
"But that is no longer the case, because the truth is that somewhere along the way, even after you had been eliminated, the fact is that you had stolen my heart."
"Oh man, that's just… it's so beautiful." Owen and Tyler shared a look in awe at the scene "Even if it is Heather."
"Don't you see it senorita?" Alejandro took Heather into his arms "The connection that we share goes deeper than any came could. With the two of us together, we have the potential to take over this entire world!"
"Oh, wow…" Heather seemed taken aback by this declaration as she started blushing again "Well I have to admit, I am feeling a little something…"
"Come mi amor…" Alejandro pulled Heather into a heated kiss, much to the disgust of the rest of those present.
Heather paused and began to return the kiss… to end up kneeing him right in the crotch a few seconds later, causing him to recoil in pain and land on a giant ice cube "It's a little something I like to call payback! So long sucker!" and then she threw him off the summit of the volcano and sent him sliding down the path, earning her a thunderous amount of cheers and applause from the rest of the peanut gallery.
"Never thought I'd say this to you, but nice work." Gwen gave a smirk of approval "It's about time somebody gave him what he deserves. Way to stick it to La Cucaracha."
"Yeah well, boys are okay and all, but they can come and go as they please. The chance to win a million dollars however, that's a chance only a sucker would pass up! Speaking of suckers, where the hell is DJ and his idiot trio?!"
"Right here, we're here…" this was when DJ came climbing up to the top of the volcano path, with Duncan and Geoff both crawling up behind him, the three of them all looking absolutely exhausted "Oh god… so tired… so hot…"
"What the hell happened? I wasn't that far ahead of you."
"Shut your freaking hole already would ya?" Duncan spat out some blood "You know the shit we had to deal with down there. Geoff took off after Bridgette in a non-existent bikini, I had to fight off a crazy stalker bitch which was a hell of a lot tougher than I thought it would be, and then we had to break DJ out of a cage over a freaking river of lava, and then we had to climb all the way up a hot as (bleep) volcano! To dumb it down to Lindsay levels, if you've got a problem with that then you can suck on the flat end of my (bleep)!" his little rant left the others taken aback "Oh come on, you guys have all said and done worse one way or another!"
"Trust me, we know." Courtney rolled her eyes as she and Bridgette went over and helped the three of them to their feet, giving Duncan a genuine smile as she did so "We all know that all too well."
"Yep. So what the hell happened up here?"
"Well Alejandro basically dragged Cody over to try and win the whole thing, probably because he wanted a cut of the prize money, then Heather showed up and they basically ended up declaring their love for each other. They started making out, then Heather kneed him in the crotch and sent him hurtling down the volcano on one of those giant ice cubes."
"...Huh. So that was him we saw hurtling down the path and screaming like a constipated lemur on steroids. Hey Geoff, you were right!" he was met with a tired groan.
"So that means… It's not over yet?" DJ let out a tired wheeze as he made his way over to the pool of lava "You haven't done it yet?"
"I kind of got distracted with all the drama and stuff?" Cody gave a shrug.
"Fair enough, the drama on this show can get pretty distracting. Take a look at me. I got so freaked out over that whole thing with my animal curse, I was more than ready to quit and go home before I even got halfway through the season. And here I am now, in the final two."
"Yeah, I feel the same way. I can't believe that after all this time I finally won Gwen over, and all I really had to do was be myself. I guess I have you to thank for that. So much has changed over the season."
"And there's gonna be a lot more changes to come, that's for sure. But the good thing about it is that we don't have to deal with it alone."
"We can do it together. All of us."
"You got that right little buddy. Now come over here, we're gonna finish this together."
"I'm pretty sure there can only be one winner, and you deserve it as much as anyone else."
"So do you. Either we do this together, or I'm not gonna do it at all. End of story."
"...Alright, let's do this." so the two of them reached down and grabbed onto one of the wooden dummies "You ready?"
"As ready as I'll ever be. Okay now, 1… 2… 3!" and so the two of them hurled the dummy down into the lava, earning a mild backsplash that forced everyone to back away "Nice job little buddy, and we did it together."
"Yes yes, very heartwarming and all with the good sportsmanship and losing gracefully." this was when Chris made his way over to the two of them with the briefcase in hand "But as Cody said, there can be only one winner. And given whose dummy you guys just threw into the lava, that makes DJ our winner!" and he was met with a massive uproar of cheers and applause from the peanut gallery.
"Congratulations man, you've earned it." Cody gave a small smile as he patted DJ on the back, then went over to sit on the edge of the volcano, overlooking the Hawaiin skyline.
"Hey." this was when Gwen made her way over and sat down next to him "You okay?"
"Yeah I'm fine, next time just remind me to ignore all the evil relationship drama going on and just throw my dummy into the lava."
"Duly noted." Gwen let out a sigh as she glanced back "So that's the end of it, DJ won."
"Yep. Look at it this way though, win or lose we still have one hell of a party to go to."
"You still seem pretty optimistic despite everything, I mean losing out on a million bucks. It has to suck."
"In some ways yeah, but it's not the end of the world. I gave it my all this season, and I made it all the way to the final two. Even if I didn't win, at least I can say I made it this far without giving up like a sucker. I have you to thank for that."
"You would've done the same for me, and you have."
"Fair enough. Still though, I'm pretty much content with losing. At least win or lose, I still have you by my side, and that's worth way more than any money could buy."
"Aren't you the charmer?" Gwen shot him a smirk as she pulled him into a hug, and the two of them shared a tender kiss.
All the while, Trent watched the scene taking place from afar with a small smile, and then he glanced over to see Sierra growling at the scene "I know how you feel trust me, but the way I see this, if they're happy then we've gotta be happy for them."
"...If she hurts him I'll hunt her down like a dog." was all Sierra said.
"Well… I guess that's a start."

Nightfall came, and everyone had gathered on the beach for a big Hawaiian luau to celebrate the end of the season.
"Here we are people!" Chris made his way onto the scene with a certain briefcase in hand, and he was quick to get everyone's attention "After an incredibly long and arduous season for everyone, myself included." he was met with a few loud snorts and audible scoffs, which he ignored and continued on as if nothing happened "It's my pleasure to finally give to all of you the winner of Total Drama World Tour: DJ!"
Sure enough, DJ stepped forward and was handed the briefcase, earning a massive uproar of cheers and applause "Thanks a ton Chris, I don't really know what to say. I didn't even think I'd get to be up here, but now it's just… kind of overwhelming. I wanna give a shoutout to all of my friends on Team Victory, and my boys Duncan and Geoff. And this might shock a lot of you, but two people I really want to thank… are Heather and Alejandro." he was met with a series of gasps and jaws dropping "I know, but think about it. Alejandro, you had a pretty big hand in helping me overcome my fears, and Heather, if it wasn't for you doing what you did up on top of the volcano, then I would never have been able to win."
"Yeah well… whatever." Heather just looked away rather indignantly, with Alejandro doing the same, albeit the two of them sharing quick glances with each other in the process.
"Either way, you guys and everyone else are gonna be invited to that big yacht party I promised all of you! Count on it!" he was met with another series of cheers and applause.
"Okay, that's not a bad way to spend the money." Gwen gave a smile, but then she glanced over towards Cody "You sure you're not even a little bit bummed about losing?"
"I guess." Cody gave a shrug as he took her hand in his "But like I said, I got you out of this and you're so much better than money. Besides, went from getting mauled by a bear and ranking 17th to making it all the way to the finals. That has to count for something right?"
"Hey DJ." this was when Duncan, Geoff and a bunch of other guys made their way forward "You know what it's time for now right?"
"I think I do…" DJ shared a grin with them, and then they all turned to Chris "I think we all want this to happen."
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
About 5 minutes later…
"Wait wait no, come on guys! What about my hair!" Chris tried to protest in vain as he was picked up by Duncan, Owen, DJ and Geoff and then thrown into the Hawaiian ocean "Seriously, again with this?!"
"Call it a tradition of the seasons." Heather shot him a smirk "After all the crap you put us through each season, it's the least you can do for the rest of us."
"Speaking of which, I think Chef is next on the list. Speaking of which, Chef is next."
"I think they've got that covered." DJ jerked a thumb to where Chef was being chased along the shore by Duncan and a few others. Then he glanced over to where Alejandro stood off on his own along the shore, and so he made his way over to him "Oh come on, you can't tell me you're not at least a little bit happy to see him get soaked."
"I will admit, there is a certain sense of catharsis to it." Alejandro's tone was rather stiff, but then he let out a sigh "How will I explain this humiliating defeat to those at home? I can hear it now, my eldest brother Jose compiling his insults along with so many others."
"Huh. So even the biggest and baddest of us have something to prove." DJ gave a small smile as he patted Alejandro on the back "You know, you can be kind of high strung. You've got some time here with the rest of us until you have to worry about your family, so go ahead and stop and smell the roses, enjoy the little things in life. If you do, then you'll be able to see things you could never see before, and hear things you were never able to hear. Life can turn out to be a lot of fun. All you have to do is stop and give it a chance."
"...I'll take that under advisement." Alejandro turned to walk away, but then he stopped when he saw Heather standing alone on the shore "Perhaps sooner than you think."
"Yeah, thanks for that." Chris rolled his eyes as he pulled himself out of the water, now sopping wet, but that didn't stop him from turning to sign off "Until next time, I'm Chris Mclean, and this has been Total! Drama! World Tour!"
A/N:
And with this, the BFG's World Tour comes to an end, with the BFG coming out on top and taking home the million. Let's face it, I think it was pretty obvious that DJ was gonna win it in this fic, with Cody being the runner up, and/or winner in the alternate ending. For starters, the title of the fic should've been a dead giveaway, and second of all, who else is more deserving than the guy who wanted to quit halfway through, only to end up making one hell of a comeback? Besides, there are plenty of fics out there where people Lindsay or Leshawna win, or Noah or Cody, but I don't think I've ever seen a fic where DJ wins it all, and I doubt many people will disagree with me when I say he deserves it.
While the winner was an easy decision to make for this fic, the helpers for each of the finalists was not. I had a few ideas for who to go with, some for the friendships that I wanted to show off, and some for opportunities to show off some character development. For the former, it was pretty obvious I'd go with Duncan and Geoff, because their and DJ's friendship was easily one of the best parts of Island, and even Harold for Cody, for reasons I've already established. Then there's the opportunities for character development, which is why I had Heather become the third volunteer to support DJ (even if it is for a cut of the million). Also, I couldn't include Heather without having Alejandro oppose her, which is mainly why he steps up to support Cody. As for Sierra helping Cody, I doubt that anyone wouldn't have seen her wanting to help him win.
Adding onto that, I still had Heather and Alejandro have that intimate scene atop the volcano, with Alejandro getting his karma at the end for everything he had done throughout the season. Granted it probably has less of an impact because neither of them are finalists this time, but the overall point still stands, since it plays a sizable part in Heather's character arc.
Speaking of character arcs, that isn't the only one I included in this chapter. I even gave some development to Sierra. Believe me, I know there are plenty of people that would've loved for me to show her in the loony bin (and it's been mentioned in at least one review for this story), but that's too obvious, and frankly, it's too easy. One thing I've learned in doing stories like these is that you have to put aside personal bias towards characters and give proper development to as many as you can. A prime example of this is Animation Adventures, one of the best Total Drama fanfic writers there is. Back to Sierra, I gave her that long awaited confrontation between her and Gwen regarding Gwen's newfound relationship with Cody, and while she's far from happy about it, she has accepted it. More or less.
Just throwing this out there, there will be one chapter to this story, which features the alternate ending to this story. This way, for those of you that really wanted to see Cody win (and believe me, I understand why), I think this will satisfy you.
