Chapter 2 Way Back Home?

Sora's POV

I had just finished defeating the Heartless.

When I did, the people surrounding me began to cheer.

I didn't know how to react, so I just smiled and waved awkwardly.

After this happened, Strelitzia ran up to me.

"Are you okay", Strelitzia asked. "Are you hurt?"

"I'm fine", I replied. "I've taken out that kind of Heartless many times before."

"That's good", Strelitzia started. "I'm glad that you're okay, Sora."

After Strelitzia said this, I smiled at her.

But then, I turned around…and my smile faded away.

"That Heartless sure did cause a lot of damage", I said.

"Yes", Strelitzia agreed sadly.

"Is there anything I can do to help", I asked.

"You have done more than enough", Strelitzia stated. "I'm sure that the people in charge of the city are more than capable of taking things from here."

"If you say so", I said.

And after did, something happened.

My stomach…began to growl.

"Sounds like someone is hungry", Strelitzia pointed out teasingly.

"What can I say", I started. "After all, It's been over seven days since I've last eaten."

"Well then", Strelitzia started. "Why don't we go back to the apartment? I can make something to eat."

"You'll make me something to eat", I asked. "Thanks! Let's get going then!"

Strelitzia and I were back at the apartment.

"Here you go", she said as she placed my food down in front of me.

"Thanks", I said.

Then, Strelitzia sat down by the chair opposite of me.

"Let us eat", she said.

"Right", I said. "Let us eat."

With that, I took a bite of my food.

"Wow", I said in awe, as my mouth was full of food. "This is amazing Strelitzia!"

"I'm glad", Strelitzia said. "It's been so long since I've last cooked for someone else."

After Strelitzia said this, I decided to ask her about something that had been on my mind since were talked earlier.

"Strelitzia", I started. "Can I ask you something?"

"Of course", Strelitzia replied. "What is it that you would like to know?"

"Earlier", I started. "You said that I'm here because my body perished, but that my heart was guided here."

"That is true", Strelitzia said.

"So", I started. "I was just wondering, if I wanted to go back to where I came from, how would I do that?"

"To be honest", Strelitzia started. "I'm not sure."

"You've never tried before", I asked.

"I wouldn't know where to begin", Strelitzia replied. "A lot of people here don't even seem to know about other worlds."

After Strelitzia said this, I looked down sadly.

Does that mean…that there's no way to get back home to everybody?

After I said this…I shook my head.

"I'm sure that there's a way back home", I stated. "I just need to find it!"

Strelitzia didn't say anything. She just smiled sadly.

Strelitzia was just about to leave.

"I'm in the apartment next door", she revealed. "Please feel free to come to me if you need anything."

"I will", I replied. "Thanks for everything Strelitzia."

"You're welcome", Strelitzia said. "Well then. Goodnight Sora."

With that, Strelitzia left.

After she did, I walked onto the balcony.

The city looked so beautiful at night.

I leaned against the railing…and thought of a promise I made.

"I'll come back to you someday. I promise."
