Noir Et Blanc:
His mind had finally relaxed enough to get some decent sleep, it was only a few hours since he'd shown his new guests the isolation chamber. Where they had kept humans that were partially infected, by the likes of the Gnosis. This, of course terrified MOMO once she saw Betty who eternally slept in her bubbling pod.
Guilt it struck hard again, and that wasn't the only thing that Jr. felt guilty for either.
There were many problems in the past that Jr. wanted to change, but none other stood out more than Albedo's horrible descent into madness.
But such a traumatic event didn't overstay it's welcome for long, since he remembered the outing that he had planned with MOMO.
But damn was Jr. awkward at introductions, even if the realian was patient he would still screw up on what he had to say- even if he remembered it well.
Well that wasn't entirely true however, Jr. did indeed greet MOMO but it was only briefly.
There wasn't enough time to talk about the Foundation, but more importantly to learn about MOMO herself.
It was fourteen years ago when he'd made a promise to Sakura, to protect her sister and treat her as one of his own.
Emotionally Jr. felt like the worst person ever, or as how he would say it- he'd felt more like a complete dick to her.
But he knew that MOMO wouldn'tve gotten mad at him. For she knew how hectic his days were often were at the Foundation.
When he wasn't reading his various adventure novels, he was commanding the Durandal and organising events with the likes of his brother and "adopted father"- Gaignun Kukai.
God lying to the public about Gaignun being his father was so embarrassing, he hated being treated like a little kid- even though he wasn't. Jr. may have looked short in his stature, but he had the mentality of the average twenty-six year old.
A quiet sigh escaped his throat, once he had turned himself around to face his old-fashioned pendulum clock.
The constant ticking, it irritated him.
Despite the annoyance that came from the clock, Jr. loved it's brown and golden regal design.
It hadn't been too long since he bought it either, every time that the redhead had visited the local antique shop he'd leave with at least one item.
But by far his favourite items were the books and especially the firearms, from the antique makarovs to old and well-kept revolvers the store truly had it all.
It all seemed so perfect, except for the fact that every-time Jr. would come home with his wallet almost empty.
He dreaded the thought of Gaignun knowing his expensive spending habits, so he constantly worked his ass off.
Not before long the absent-minded thoughts they he'd long thought about, had made his eyes weary.
With one last turn over Jr. switched off the lights, before he'd closed his eyes.
Once the morning rays of light had shone down upon him, Jr. awoke with a stretch and a yawn.
Shortly after the redhead had wiped away the sleep from his eyes, he slipped on his cross shirt with ease despite still feeling sleepy.
When he reached the kitchen he straight away flicked on the kettle, before pouring some cold water into his mug. Whilst he waited for the steam to arise from the said kettle, Jr. sat down with his head propped up thanks to his crossed arms.
Before he could watch the artificial birds fly by from kitchen window, he heard approaching footsteps that came from the hallway.
His head turned to see Gaignun, without his usual black blazer on just a white plain shirt.
Jr.'s voice was a little dry when he spoke, since he hadn't drunk anything beforehand. "Hey, did you sleep well?" Once Gaignun sat down alongside him, he answered. "I did, how about you?"
"I tend to worry since your eyes seem a little bit black, …ever since last week."
With a sigh the redhead answered, whilst he moved towards the kitchen counter. "I guess I have been having a few restless nights lately, I just think about pointless shit, kinda' it keeps me up."
Before he could reach the fridge's hand for some milk, Gaignun spoke again paying no mind to his vulgarity. "What matters disturb you at night, you never seem willing to tell me?" "Do you not trust me?" Jr. suddenly froze at his question, dreading to even answer him let alone think of a good enough excuse.
"We've been together for about three years since we established the Foundation- I'm just… rather surprised."
Albedo was what worried him, but like he'd ever tell Gaignun that.
He didn't want others getting involved with his fight, with his own score to settle.
Noticing the redhead's long slience, he called out his name. "Jr.? Are you all right?" His voice was gentle and soothing when he spoke, but also conveyed concern. It wasn't like Jr. at all to hide what he felt, always he tell Gaignun since they were so close.
Hesitance started to fill up inside Jr.'s chest whilst it cramped in anxiety, his mind teetered if it was the best idea to tell Gaignun the truth.
Never did Jr. lie not to anyone, he told nothing but the utter truth.
He had no reason to lie for that matter, since he had nothing to hide.
"I'm fine." The redhead blurted out an excuse, praying to dear god that Gaignun would believe him.
Of course not.
Gaignun knew that sometimes he'd hide away how he felt, purely for the sake of not upsetting or disturbing anyone.
Jr. was a dangerously considerate type in other words, it didn't matter how much the past or the current times had bothered him- he simply only cared about Shion and others now. Not himself.
He didn't care if he broke-down into a trembling mess, but he always had his bedroom for those times.
Without doubt his brother knew that Jr. was suffering inside, but didn't want anyone else to know- anyone else to get involved.
So naturally Gaignun asked again, this time seriously wanting an answer to his odd and secretive behaviour as of late. "I can sense that something's wrong, it's not like you to hide your worries from me." Jr. couldn't bullshit about how he felt anymore, especially not around Gaignun.
Gaignun was constantly perceptive especially when it came down to lying, to the point of it almost being surreal on how correct his predictions were.
After the redhead grabbed his milk and slowly poured it in, he took his drink and Gaignun's coffee to the table.
Jr. slowly slid the cup across in slience, trying to gather his thoughts up on something suitable to say.
Once a few moments had passed he looked up, yet again he dreaded telling Gaignun however he surprisingly fought back against the hesitation. "Fourteen years ago." Jr. suddenly spoke. "Do you remember what happened, and what I'd... done?"
The emergency link cancellation that had occurred in Labyrinthos, Gaignun couldn't fade that memory away as much as he wanted to. But he knew that it wasn't Jr.'s fault. It was merely a mistake, and nothing more but Albedo had held onto it despising what he had done.
Gaignun remembered the Red Dragon Mode running rampant, swirling and bursting from Jr.'s body into a wild and flicking inferno.
Due to Jr. being unaware of situation at the time, U-DO had crept upward in the very center.
Causing an immense wave of fear to be implanted inside the other U.R.T.V's- including Albedo himself.
In sheer terror Albedo screamed once U-DO had made contact with him, but strangely- he didn't undergo any type of metamorphosis like his other comrades did.
It was what made Albedo truly frightening, he wasn't deformed nor cannibalistic like the others.
Instead he descended into madness letting Jr. know that monsters didn't always need to take a visual form.
It only took their hearts to be corrupted, and their minds to be overcome. It made him think if he was a monster too. It was what "they" called him after all, he couldn't help but question it.
With a shake of his head Gaignun snapped back to reality, and nodded. "Of course, but you know that it wasn't your fault." "Albedo wasn't mentally stable to begin with." The redhead sighed, once he took a big sip from his drink. His voice faltered in guilt, despite Gaignun's comforting words.
"I know, but I can't help but not think about it." "But I can't let it get to me, I've gotta' see MOMO later on this afternoon." With a hand on his shoulder, Gaignun nodded with a sigh. He closed his eyes truly realizing that there was no way to change his mind, Gaignun knew that he was a little stubborn. "I think spending some time with her would ease your mind, she seems to like having you around."
A idea suddenly entered him. "Maybe you can introduce yourself a little more, have some lunch whilst at your at it too." Jr. laughed a little at that, "It isn't a date you know, I just wanna learn more about her." With a smile, Gaignun shook his head. "It's just a suggestion, I figured that she'd like it as well." "Being in U-TIC's captivity would've limited her from the outside world, I think it would benefit her greatly." Slowly Jr. stood up with a stretch, and nodded before he grabbed his mug. "Yeah I think it would too, I'll get my stuff ready- then I'll head out and meet the others to burn some time."
Even though it had been three years, since the Foundation was established.
Both Gaignun and Jr. were well known, especially once they offered their services to help out many other organisations.
Once Jr. took the loop line train to the park area of the Durandal, his sight instantly saw MOMO waiting on one of the benches.
Her small legs swung back and forth, of course with her usual gentle smile.
When MOMO saw Jr. at the entrance her eyes lit up in excitement, thrilled that Jr. kept his promise to take her and introduce her to the many places that the Foundation was known for.
With a wave Jr. sat down next to her. "Hey MOMO, sorry I didn't get to introduce myself yesterday- you're probably unaware what Gaignun's like when it comes to my left-over paperwork!"
Happily the pink realian giggled she hadn't laughed in what felt like a long while, she'd been used to wrapping her hands around herself for warmth.
She had been used to being isolated from the world, but luckily Ziggy came by and retrieved her. Ziggy was another individual, that Jr. had forgotten to introduce himself to.
He saw him enter the Elsa one day with Shion, but he was too caught up with his duties to drop by.
Once MOMO looked back, she shook her head in reassurance. "It's okay it's sounds tough being the administrator, huh?" "All the bills you'd need to pay, all the meetings and people you'd need to talk to- don't you get tired?" The redhead nodded with a laugh. "'Yeah it does get tiring sometimes, but it's really worth it." "Because in the end we're helping people."
"The injured, the sick and the weak. We make sure they have a place to stay, and somewhere to rest up." As lovely as it all sounded Jr. knew that there were some people, that were beyond the Foundation's reach of salvation. In other words people who couldn't be saved.
Jr. knew this well it felt like a numbers game, of who could saved and or merely couldn't.
But he didn't dawdle on those memories for long, once he stood up he helped MOMO up as well. "I think it's about time we got somethin' to eat, meanwhile we can check out the Foundation together!" With a big and cheerful smile MOMO followed Jr. from behind, once the two had reached the urban district the realian looked around.
However it didn't take long, until MOMO saw something that smelt really good and irresistible.
A customer was served a fresh éclair from the Smile Bakery, the pastry was sweet and fresh and the cream was fluffy. The chocolate that had been drizzled on top, was what caught her eyes the most.
She hadn't tried anything sweet before, once Jr. saw how excited she was he couldn't resist.
Sure, it wasn't the most healthiest "lunch" but she was happy and that's what mattered the most.
Her voice was eager yet hinted how hungry she was. "That looks really tasty! What's it called?" The redhead smiled before the two headed towards the bakery's direction. "It's an éclair. The bakery's pretty famous for these alongside their bread." Once Jr. pulled out his wallet, he pulled out a few notes. "I'll get you one." With a push of a door, the bell rang, instantly it grabbed the female bakers attention.
"I haven't seen you in a while Little Master, they sure keep you busy, don't they? Jr. laughed, whilst he tried to hide his annoyance. "They sure do, I swear they love to drown me in paperwork!" Once their humorous small-talk had stopped, he ordered MOMO's requested dessert.
Inside the bakery were sets of tables and chairs, once Jr. pulled out a chair for her they both sat down to continue with their discussion from beforehand. With a click of his can the soda fizzed, bubbling up in the process. To clear his throat he took a long sip, before he attempted to speak. "What's Shion like, have you met her yet?" The realian nodded with a smile, never did she forget how Shion and The Elsa had saved her from the mother-ship.
"I did she's really nice and so is chaos, he's really friendly too!" Jr. hadn't forgotten about chaos, ever since he was rescued by the Asher. The two had grown so close, that they considered each other as close associates. "I'm really glad that you're enjoying your time here, MOMO."
"We're gonna protect you no matter what, so you don't have to be afraid anymore."
Before MOMO could respond she adorably smiled, her eyes had shined with innocence and utmost respect for him. To her he almost seemed like a brother, even though it hadn't even been a good hour since they talked. Regardless on how much time had passed, Jr. would've adored the fact that she looked up to him.
However the innocence that constantly shined in her eyes had always reminded him of Sakura, especially the day when Sakura kissed him on the cheek during a beautiful amber sunset.
A long time passed since then and Jr. still hadn't forgotten his promise, to protect MOMO for Sakura's sake.
So, he made it a priority to protect her from anything that desired to harm her, anything that had made her feel the exact same as she did when she was trapped on Pleroma.
Once her treat arrived, Jr. watched her take a big bite out of the éclair, the chocolate gently crunched alongside the soft and sweet cream, the pastry was flaky too.
With closed eyes the realian savored the sweetness, the texture and everything else that the treat provided. Simply put- it was quite delicious.
After they left the bakery Jr. showed her around the Foundation, from it's many facilities to it's endless rows of shops. It certainly wasn't short of luxury nor entertainment.
When the tour was finished, the sky had turned dark enough for the luminous moon to show itself and shine brightly in the sky.
As much as MOMO wanted to stay and watch the moon in all it's beauty, she really needed to head back.
For she had stayed far longer than what she had told both Shion and Ziggy, so with a sincere smile she thanked him.
"It was fun, I'd love to do it again when you're free next!"
With a nod Jr. smiled when he replied, feeling much more relaxed and untense compared to how he was before. "I'll drop by and see you all tomorrow, take care MOMO."
Once the two had waved goodbye to each other, Jr. headed back to the Durandal, and made it a priority to meet up with Gaignun again.
He was in his room alone reading a few novels to himself, once he heard the door go he turned his head. "How did it all go?" Jr. laughed when he asked, nervous to tell him about what he bought the realian to eat. Gaignun tried to avoid sweets but Jr. had no reins whatsoever when it came to them at all.
"I took MOMO to a bakery, you know- the one located by the urban district?" With a nod Gaignun smiled, "The perfect place for her, I bet whatever she had tasted exquisite." Despite going out with her Jr. still felt like shit, his mind still felt irritated and down. Naturally Gaignun wanted to know more, considering that this entire time Jr.'d been beating around the bush.
"Isn't there a way, that I can help?" Gaignun offered to lift his spirits up, but again Jr. denied his request. "It's a nice thought but, I don't think anything else will put my mind at ease." With a shake of his head, Gaignun smiled in disbelief. "I wouldn't be so sure, I have than just a singular method, you know." A red brow suddenly went up, curiously. "Oh yeah, what else do you have on your mind?"
For a few moments Gaignun went deep into thought, once he remembered he nodded. Confident that his other plan would *definitely* help.
"How about we have another go, and do what we did the other night?"
"You remember it well, right?"
Without a doubt Jr. did, and it "felt" amazing.
It instantly cleared up his mind, even his worries melted away.
With a smile, the redhead folded his arms over. "Of course how could I forget, it was one of the best nights I ever had."
"God, you were so gentle last time Gaignun."
"So considerate too- and to be pretty honest... that's pretty hot now that I think about it."
Gaignun laughed. "We haven't even started, and you're already smiling." Jr. asked, once his small frame landed onto the bed.
"But- can we...?"
With gentle nod, Gaignun consented once the bedroom door had closed itself. "Of course, anything to untense your shoulders- and your unsettled mind."
"So, what's your priority this time?" "It's completely up to you, at whatever time."
Jr. slid a finger past his own chin, deep in his thoughts. "Anything, but it's been a long while since we did anything fun, so go gentle on me."
"How about now, Mary and Shelley are out for the night... aren't they?"
Whilst Gaignun unbuttoned his blazer, he nodded. "For dinner, I believe." Once Jr.'s fingers threaded themselves through his crimson hair, he tossed aside his longcoat.
"You sure about this?" Jr. spoke, wondering if Gaignun would double-guess even following through. With a laugh he sat on the edge of his luxurious bed. "I consented didn't I?" "Make sure to simply relax yourself- exactly as you did last time." "It's meant to be leisurely experience, after all."
With affectionate eyes, Jr. nodded. "You're right, whenever you're ready." Gaignun started off, with a soft kiss onto his small neck enough to start off Jr.'s libido.
Both his hands pressed gently, enough to rest against the bed frame due to his height. Momentary after Gaignun stopped, he looked down to "catch" his breath. "Did that... feel good?" While trying to hold back a moan deep in his throat, Jr. slowly replied.
"Oh god, yeah."
"It's only been a few seconds- and I already feel..."
With a hand under his chin and the other around his small hips, Gaignun's hand slipped under Jr.'s white shirt and "felt" him up. In pleasure the redhead called out, with clenched teeth. "Ngh... Gaignun...!" Whilst he was fondled, Jr.'s hand grazed past Gaignun's ribcage to caress his flesh softly. Unable to contain himself any longer, a moan escaped from him. While Gaignun panted, he spoke through the spiritual link barely being able to speak. "I'm.. I'm not being too rough, a-am I?"
"No, Y-You're not, just keep going..."
Jr.'s smaller hands rubbed past his shoulder and caressed him the very same, with closed eyes Gaignun heavily panted. "This is meant- to be about you... and yet..."
Once Jr.'s warmth lips withdrew from Gaignun's mouth, he spoke trying to catch his breath. "...I can... sense you're... doing this to... repay me.." Despite his libido being immense, Gaignun froze upon hearing how correct he was. "H-how did you..." With their hands clasped together, Gaignun drew closer to Jr.'s mouth. "I saved you that day, on Old Militia..." "You could've died- Gaignun."
Passionately the two kissed, but through the spiritual link Jr. suddenly spoke with a single tear going down his face. "Everyone that's here and including you Gaignun... they're all worth fightin' for." Whilst he kissed, Gaignun smiled back.
"You haven't left my side, even after all these years have passed..." "That's why my trust towards you is utmost, and I figured that this would soothe you- besides purchasing some old books..."
Slowly the two moved away from the bed, and onto one of the walls. With a moan, Gaignun suddenly called out. "Jr-Jr.!" With gritted teeth Jr. held tightly against Gaignun's shirt, with his eyes burning to confess to him almost reaching his ending point.
"I've never said this before, but I know I should've said this way earlier-"
"All this time, I just... wanted to say that I love you, Gaignun.
Touched by his confession Gaignun smiled, whilst his hands held up Jr.'s small yet tense face. "Always I'll be there for you, and whenever you need it."
With one last kiss Jr. made himself fall back onto the neat bed, whilst he heavily panted. After a while the spiritual link disengaged, once the redhead spoke aloud. "Man... that was..." "I hope we didn't wake anyone up..." With a small laugh Gaignun shook his head, before he put on his blazer. "MOMO is on the Elsa, there's no one else here, but us." A relieved sigh escaped Jr. and when he fully caught his breath, Gaignun spoke to him once more. "So, how do you feel?" One of Jr.'s hands went up towards his own chest, still feeling the passion inside himself. Of course, he responded with vulgarity. "Fuck, that was... great."
After a few moments has passed Gaignun gently smiled, however his sight changed to see that the clock read 3:00 in the morning. Never was he late, especially for the meetings in regards to the Foundation. With his head turned towards Gaignun, Jr. suggested. "We should sleep, hey?" "Indeed, I left some books on your desk- Moby Dick and the Wizard of Oz... right?" Excited and thankful Jr. replied. "Aw, hell yeah, you remembered!" "You don't mind if I go and read these now, do you?" With a nod of agreement Gaignun watched Jr. leave from a distance, relived that was he able to at least untense Jr.'s mind for a little while.
