Chapter 14 Date

Sora's POV

The Next Day

We were all in the apartment, discussing what to do next.

"So", I started. "What now?"

"Well", Riku started. "I am sure that everybody at home is trying their best to figure out how to get us home. However, because we don't know much about Quadratum, I can only assume that finding an answer can take some time."

"You're right", Kairi agreed. "That's why I suggest that we try to find some information ourselves."

"But where to begin", Strelitzia asked. "The people of this world do not seem to be aware of the existence of other worlds, so I'm not sure if we can even find the information that we're looking for here."

"We have to at least try", I stated. "Everybody's waiting for us!"

"Why don't we split up", Riku suggested. "We can cover more ground that way."

"Good idea", Kairi agreed. "I'll go with Sora. You go with Strelitzia, Riku."

"You just want some alone time with Sora, don't you", Riku teased.

"Of course I do", Kairi replied. "After all, it's been two years for me since I've last seen Sora!"

"Alright then", Riku started as he sat up. "Let's go Strelitzia. You two enjoy your date."

I tried to protest, but Riku and Strelitzia left before I could.

Kairi and I were walking around the city.

For some reason…she seemed nervous.

"You okay Kairi", I asked.

"I was just wondering…", Kairi started. "Are you okay with this being a date?"

That definitely took me by surprise.

"A date", I asked in shock. "We're on a date?!"

"Only if you want it to", Kairi replied.

"I do", I said a little too quickly. "I do want to go on a date with you Kairi!"

Saying these words made Kairi look at me in shock.

"Re…really", she asked in shock. "You…want to go on a date with me?"

"I do", I replied.

After I said this…a huge smile spread across Kairi's face…making my heart swell.

"O…okay then", she said. "What should we do on our date?"

"I don't know", I replied. "I've never been on a date before. What do you even do on them?"

"I don't know", Kairi revealed. "Terra and Master Aqua kind of just got married not long after I began my training under her, and she became pregnant not long after that."

"Hold up", I started in shock. "Aqua and Terra are married?!"

"Oh right", Kairi started in realisation. "I didn't tell you yet. Yes, they are married, and they have a son."

"That's amazing", I exclaimed. "What's their son's name?"

"Eraqus Ventus", Kairi revealed. "But everybody calls him 'EV' for short."

"Sounds like a lot has happened while I've been gone", I said, with a hint of sadness in my voice.

Kairi noticed this…and grabbed onto my hand.

"Come on", she started. "Let's go find somewhere to sit so I can catch you up on everything that has happened."
