Chapter 15 New Faces
Sora's POV
Kairi and I were at a café, where she was telling me about what has been happening back home.
"Wow", I started, with a bit of sadness in my voice. "I really have missed out on a lot, haven't I?"
Noticing my sadness…Kairi grabbed onto my hand, which made me look up at her.
"I'm not sure if this helps", she started. "But I want you to know that nobody forgot about you. In fact, everybody was doing all that they could to get you back home."
"Really", I asked. "They did all of that for me?"
"Of course", Kairi replied. "After all, you helped them all out, so they wanted to help you out in return."
Hearing this made me happy, and filled with determination.
"Sounds like everybody is trying their best", I said. "So I've gotta try my best too."
"There's the Sora I know and l…", Kairi started.
But she didn't finish, and her face suddenly turned bright red.
"Know and…what", I asked. "Are you okay Kairi?"
"I'm fine", Kairi exclaimed nervously.
I was about to ask her why she was so nervous, but before I could…I heard people scream.
Kairi and I turned our heads, and when we did…we saw a Darkside!
"Not again", I said as I quickly stood up from my chair. "Why does this kind of Heartless keep on showing up?"
"No idea", Kairi replied as she also stood up. "We'll look into it after we've taken care of this."
With that, Kairi and I began to fight the Darkside Heartless.
However, as the fight went on…it became clear that we were at a disadvantage.
"Okay", I started. "Is it me, or are these things becoming harder and harder to fight each time we face them?"
"I think you're right", Kairi replied. "They are getting stronger."
Before this conversation could go on for any longer…the Darkside Heartless tried to attack us!
Luckily, another attack stopped it. But this attack didn't come from me or Kairi.
We turned around, and saw who it was who had fired off the attack.
We saw…four teenagers.
Among these teenagers was a girl with a decorated backpack, a girl wearing a cat hoodie, a boy with an uppercut hairstyle, and a boy wearing a black mask.
"Are you guys okay", the latter asked as he and his group ran up to us.
"We're fine", I replied.
"Watch out Rindude", the other boy suddenly yelled.
We all turned around, and saw the Darkside's fist coming towards us.
Kairi quickly stood in front of me.
"Reflecta", she yelled out before creating a barrier that blocked the Darkside's attack.
Then, she jumped onto its arm, and ran up it before reaching its chest.
With that, she fired the final blow, destroying it.
She landed on the ground, and turned around to face everybody else.
She truly was amazing.
