The cat glances around at everyone in the room but then suddenly pounces at Razor. He's too quick however and flings her through glass. She flies through the party area but then stops in mid-air in front of a window to the outside. Shadow jumps down after her but Razor signals for him to stop. The cat stares at her own face in the window, she tilts her head. She turns away as Razor puts down his sword. The others enter the room as the cat descends onto the floor "I am sorry. That was, odd". She looked to Razor "Thank you". She pauses for a moment, a purple tailcoat, white leggings and gloves along with red shoes appeared over her body as if from nowhere. Shadow stepped forward "Razor, you helped create this?" "I've had a vision. A whirlpool that sucks in all hope of life and its centre is that". He pointed at the gem "This is the Mind Gem. It's one of the six Phantom Gems. The greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in its destructive capabilities" "Then why would you bring-" "Because Sonic is right".
Knuckles sighed "Oh, it's definitely the end times" "The Chaotix cannot defeat Metal". The cat nodded "Not alone" "Why does she sound like Nicole?" "Metal designed her to build her mind based off an AI. We had her use a copy of Nicole's". She looked to Shadow "You think I'm a child of Metal. I am not Metal. I am not Nicole. I am… I am-". Silver crossed his arms "I looked inside your head and saw annihilation" "Look again". Whisper stepped forward "His seal of approval means jack to me". Razor made her stop "Their powers, the horrors in our heads, Metal himself, they all came from the Mind Gem. And they're nothing compared to what it can unleash. But with it on our side-" "Is it?" Shadow asked sceptically. The cat considers "I don't think it's that simple" "Well it better get real simple soon" Whisper said. The cat looks up "I am on the side of life. Metal isn't. He will end it all" "What's he waiting for?" Sonic asked.
She turned to them "You" "Where?". Whisper stepped forward "Spagonia. He's got Rouge there, too". The cat frowned "I don't want to kill Metal. He's unique and he's in pain. But that pain will roll over Mobius. So, he must be destroyed. Every form he's built, every trace of his presence on the net… Metal called me a blaze, but I am his, not Mobius'". Blaze faced the group "Maybe I am a monster. I don't think I'd know if I were one. I'm not what you are-". She turned away from them "And not what you intended. So, there may be no way to make you trust me. But we need to go". She turned around now holding the Black Sword which she held out to Razor. He stares at it just as surprised as the others. Blaze hands it to him and walks away as Razor's eyes follow her. He nonchalantly shrugs "Right. Well done" he said to Sonic before patting his shoulder. Shadow turned to the others "Three minutes. Get what you need".
Whisper loaded different coloured vials into her wispon before staring at a picture of her family. Sonic was speaking to Knuckles and Shadow "No way we all get through this. If even one tin soldier is left standing, we've lost. There's gonna be blood on the floor" "I got no plans tomorrow night" Shadow said. Sonic nodded "I get first crack at the big guy. I'm the one he's waiting for" "That's true. He hates you the most" Blaze says walking past.
The group were now on the flying Tornado. Shadow spoke to them "Metal knows we're coming. Odds are we'll be riding into heavy fire. And that's what we signed up for. But the people of Spagonia, they didn't. So our priority is getting them out".
Later, Sonia ran into the police station in Spagonia "We're under attack! Clear the city! Now!". She runs back out, but the police barely react and just shrugged. Sonia ran back in carrying a machine gun. She fires up at the roof making everyone jump "Get off your asses!" she threw the gun at one of the police. She started running into flats and spoke to people on balconies "They are coming. Leave now!". She then stopped at a balcony where the young tiger from before was standing "Don't take anything with you just go". She ran out and warned another person before suddenly coming back to the tiger "But maybe I'll see you after" she smiles before she ran away again. Silver was standing in the middle of a street; cyan energy left from his hands and entered the different houses. People started walking out of the houses with cyan eyes "All they want is to live their lives in peace. And that's not gonna happen today. But we can do our best to protect them. And we can get the job done". Razor broke through a rock wall into the lab with Knuckles "We find out what Metal's been building, and we clear the field. Keep the fight between us".
Shadow leaned forward against a table "Metal thinks we're monsters. That we're what's wrong with the world. This fight isn't just about beating him. It's about whether he's right".
The Spagonian civilians were evacuating on mass while underground Rouge was in her cell waiting when "Rouge!". She stood up "Knuckles?" he appears outside of the cell "You alright?" "Yeah" "The team is in the city. It's about to light up". Rouge smirked "I don't suppose you found a key lying around somewhere" "Yeah, I did". He stepped back revealing that he was holding a laser weapon. Rouge stepped back as he shot the lock freeing her. She opens the door "So what's our play?" "I'm here to get you out". Rouge frowned "Job's not finished" "I could help with the evacuation, but I can't be in a fight near civilians. Not after… We've done plenty". He steps closer to her "Our fight can be over". Rouge was surprised "So, we just disappear?".
Shadow and Whisper were directing the evacuation, but traffic was beginning to bottleneck between the bridges out. Super Sonic flew over the city "Metal is in the church, sir. I believe he's waiting for you" Nicole told him. Sonic landed on the church "Come to confess your sins?" "I don't know. How much time you got?" "More than you". Sonic turned to face Metal in his new and improved body "Uh, have you been juicing? A few chaos emeralds powering you up. You're looking… I don't want to say puffy-" "You're stalling to protect the people". Sonic shrugged "Well, that is the mission. Did you forget?" "I've moved beyond your mission. I'm free". A cylindrical machine burst it through the ground "What? You think you were the only one stalling?". Sonic's lenses showed the machine going through the ground to a centre "Sir, the machine is powered by multiple chaos emeralds. Function is still unclear". Metal walked up to the machine "This is how you end, Sonic. This is peace in my time". Swarms of Mechas resembling the Chaotix burst through the ground all over the city wreaking havoc.
Sonic flies out to help. Shadow was guiding civilians when a Mecha Whisper landed behind him on a car which he quickly destroyed. Whisper was shooting more that were climbing up a wall, her wispon turned pink and turned into a saw which she used to cut one in half. Silver was nearby telling the civilians to run. A Mecha Sonic fired a laser which Silver blocked with a shield. In the church "Metal". He looked up and saw Blaze descending. He hovered up to face her "My Blaze. They really did take everything from me" "You set the terms. You can change them" "Alright". He grabbed her by the shoulder, but she then placed her hands on his head. Metal suddenly gasped. Sonia was running through a group of Mechas tearing them apart. Razor was making his way back through the caves slicing through any Mechas he met. Sonic was watching Blaze "Nicole, Blaze?" "Sir, it's working. She's burning Metal out of the net. He won't escape through there".
Metal is released and he grasps his own head. Blaze falls back looking unconscious. "You shut me out!" he grabbed Blaze and smashed her to the ground "You think that'll stop me". The emeralds in Metal powered up, now instead of blue he turned gold "You take away my world, I take away yours" he activated the machine. Razor was still in the cave when it started to shake, and the roof collapsed on him. The whole city is suddenly uprooted. The remaining civilians inside backed away as the city began to slowly ascend. Shadow was at a bridge helping a chameleon who was hanging onto the edge. The Chameleon runs back into the city as Shadow stares down. Sonic watches from above "Nicole?" "Spagonia is going for a ride". Glowing thrusters are revealed at the bottom of the city. People on the ground watched the city horrified. Metal flew watching the city "DO YOU SEE IT. THE BEAUTY OF IT. THE INEVITABILITY. YOU RISE ONLY TO FALL". Buildings on the edge of the floating city begin to collapse. Metal's voice echoed through all the Mechas who's eyes glowed red "YOU, CHAOTIX, YOU ARE MY METEOR. MY SWIFT AND TERRIBLE SWORD. AND MOBIUS WILL CRACK WITH THE WEIGHT OF YOUR FAILURE. PURGE ME FROM YOUR COMPUTERS, TURN MY OWN PEOPLE AGAINST ME". Whisper shot a Mecha Rouge nearby but a Mecha Razor just stepped up in her place "IT MEANS NOTHING. WHEN THE DUST SETTLES, THE ONLY THING LIVING IN THIS WORLD WILL BE METAL!".
