A/N: And here we have it: the final battle!

Kong: Skull Island

Chapter 9: The Final Battle

"Fall back. Go!", Conrad urged as the big Skull Crawler prepared to make a move and then roared.

"Colonel. Sir!", Conrad said, turning to him.

Of course, Packard was too paralyzed in slight fear at the sight of the bigger Skull Crawler, which then started moving forward, prompting Conrad to run.

"Yeah, get a good look, Packard! This is all on you!", Martha shouted before she and Margaret took off, leaving him to be consumed by the Skull Crawler, which then moved closer toward him slowly.

Of course, it was at that moment that Kong reawakened and was starting to get up, prompting Packard to start up the detonator again.

"Die, you mother...", Packard began before Kong interrupted him by crushing him with his hand.

It was then that Weaver turned around in time to see Kong and the big Skull Crawler fighting. Unfortunately, the latter creature was winning as it pinned Kong to the ground. Then, it turned around seemingly to notice her before Conrad picked Weaver up.

"Kong's down. Let's go!", Conrad shouted.

Later, the sun was rising with Brooks rushing out a few inches off the ploat.

"They told us to leave at dawn.", Lin said.

"I know.", Brooks responded.

"It's dawn.", Lin said.

"I know!", Brooks responded.

"So what are we going to do?", Lin asked, leaving Brooks flummoxed.

Meanwhile, Conrad and the others ran up to the edge of the forest where

"This is the edge of the island.", Conrad said, noticing the vast water and mountains as well as a broken ship up ahead before turning to Weaver.

"Weaver, get up on those rocks and fire a flare. With any luck, Brooks will see it.", Conrad assured before hearing a stomp from far away.

"We'll buy you time.", Margaret assured with Martha nodding in agreement before Weaver then took off.

"This way. Come on. Every second counts.", Conrad urged as he led the others out into the water.

But Cole stayed behind and dropped his gun into the ground.

"Cole! Come on, man, we gotta fall back.", Mills urged.

"Go live your life. Get out of here.", Cole said.

Then, Cole started turning around toward the Skull Crawler.

"Cole!", Mills said in worry.

"Cole, no!", Slivko shouted as he and the others turned back for him.

"Cole, no!", Conrad urged.

"Stop!", Slivko shouted.

"Cole! Cole! No! Don't! Cole! Cole!", Mills shouted as Cole then pulled the pins from the grenades while Mills tried to stop him only for Conrad to stop him as the Skull Crawler towered above him.

"Come on. Come on. Ugly monster.", Cole said before the Skull Crawler then, instead of eating him, whacked him away with its tail straight toward a mountain, the impact making the grenades explode, killing Cole as Mills could only look on.

"That's it. I am not messing around anymore.", Martha said adamantly.

"Martha, are you crazy?", Conrad asked.

"Don't worry, everyone. I'll handle this.", Martha assured.

"Uh..., handle this how?", Slivko asked.

Then, as if to answer, the antennae grew from her head. Then, her eyes bugged out and became more insect like. Next, she grew mandibles with her wings growing from her back, grew her thorax, became more insect shaped, and became hairy all while growing in size.

"Okay. That's how.", Slivko responded in surprise.

"Guys? Meet Mothra.", Margaret responded before Mothra gave off a very high-pitched wail, which goaded the Skull Crawler into roaring back.

"Okay, ugly. Let's rumble.", Martha, now known as Mothra, spoke in a booming voice before she then flew toward the Skull Crawler, who lunged at her only to miss as she flew up in the nick of time, causing it to land on the ground and slide for a moment before getting up and turning its attention toward her with a snarling hiss.

And while Weaver climbed up the mountain, Mothra then struck with her thorax and, missing only 9 times as the Skull Crawler dodged and then attempted to retaliate each time only to miss just the same. However, at the 10th time, Mothra finally stung the Skull crawler, making it screech before it then tried to attack, hazy as it is, only for Kong to yell out with a jump. When he did, Kong quickly bashed the Skull Crawler in the mouth with a rock.

"Come on! Go!", Slivko shouted as everyone else ran while Margaret stayed behind, hiding behind a rock as Kong and the Skull Crawler, who shook off the haze, fought.

The latter was able to bite into his arm and then his neck (although not very hard enough) before Kong pried its mouth off its neck and then smacked it to a wall. Unfortunately, it dodged before Kong could hit it and then bit into his arm again and knocked him back to the waters, about to strike again only for Kong to counter its attacks and even hold it at bay with his arm, allowing Mothra to sting it again, making it twice as dizzy as Weaver climbed up the top and then shot out a flare, which prompted Conrad and the others, in the meantime, to turn back around and see the flare.

Then, Mothra flew over to Kong's side as the latter roared and got out a tree before plucking the leaves out of it quickly to use as a club as the Skull Crawler prepared to attack. The two titans then charged toward each other and the result? The Skull Crawler was whacked and knocked right in the side of its face, knocking it back. Once it recovered, the Skull Crawler then charged up toward Kong, only to get grabbed in the neck, leaving him open to the creature placing its arms on his shoulders. It then lurked around and then tossed Kong aside toward the wrecked ship, practically binding him in chains. Before the Skull Crawler could strike as it inched closer, starting to limp around, gunshots were suddenly fired at it. It was Brooks, firing the bullets at it from the ploat.

"Come on! Go!", Conrad urged as he and the others rushed over to the ploat just as Lin noticed Conrad and the others rushing for it.

"Come on! Hurry!", Lin shouted while Margaret peeped out from the rock and saw Conrad and the others rushing for the ploat as well as the Skull Crawler starting to go after said group, even whacking Kong in the tail

"Come on!", Hank said as he helped the others along just as Brooks finally ran out of ammo and had to discharge the empty ammo from the gun as the Skull Crawler closed in.

"Marlow, a little help here!", Brooks shouted.

"She's temperamental. Watch out!", Hank shouted as the Skull Crawler moved in only for Mothra to attack it by surprise, stinging it once again just before the Skull Crawler then tried to shake her off, but was starting to struggle more than it would've liked.

Meanwhile, Kong was getting up and trying to break through the chains just as the Skull Crawler, after struggling, finally shook Mothra off it. But when it did, it found out that it was starting to get drowsy and slow as its vision started to fade, which fortunately, gave Kong just enough time to break through the chains with one remaining, connected to the rotor of the boat. While Hank was trying to load up the gun, Weaver was able to load up the flare again and fire another flare, this time, at the limping Skull Crawler right in the right eye before it exploded on the creature, making it shriek in pain before Margaret fired at the Skull Crawler, by its side, knocking it down for a moment while the ploat's guns were finally loaded.

"Clear!", Hank shouted.

"Clear!", Brooks said before the two then fired at the Skull Crawler again.

"Come on, you monster!", Conrad said before running, leading the Skull Crawler, who noticed him as it got back up, away from the others, although it was now slow, yet persistant and fighting through the venom, nonetheless.

Of course, it didn't do any good because Kong then tossed the rotor toward the Skull Crawler and then hit it at the top left of its back and drag it away. Kong then proceeded to strangle the Skull Crawler by the neck before then slamming it to the ground, grabbing it by the rotor stuck to it, slamming it again, and this time, spinning it around before tossing it toward the mountains. Unfortunately, the impact knocked Weaver off the mountain, worrying Kong.

"Weaver!", Conrad shouted before Mothra managed to catch Weaver before she could land in the water, leaving the human astonished and Kong relieved, neither one knowing that the Skull Crawler getting back up and shaking its head a bit, starting to recover from the venom inflicted upon it by Mothra as its left eye opened up fully.

After regaining its usual stamina, the Skull Crawler then suddenly leapt up at Kong from behind and tumbled him around only for Kong to take the edge with punches, even using the rotor to cut it by its side as well as banging it on the head before slicing it by the neck, causing some traces of yellow liquid to leak out quickly while simultaneously hit with an uppercut, seemingly defeating it as Kong dropped the rotor while Mothra dropped Weaver off to where Conrad and the others are.

"Not a word about this to anyone or I will hunt you down. Understand?", Mothra asked before Weaver nodded.

"Weaver. You're okay.", Conrad said to her.

Kong looked on at the scene only for the Skull Crawler to suddenly jump up behind Kong once again, this time, biting him in the arm, prompting Kong to knock him off and make him roll away before recovering and getting back up on Kong again, reaching for his arm before wrapping its tongue around him and then placing his hand in its mouth. But Kong wasn't going to give up. In fact, he even pulled his arm out of the creature's mouth further, ripping its tongue out and finally killing the Skull Crawler once and for all. With that, Kong then turned back calmly with Margaret catching up with Weaver's camera.

"Looking for this?", Margaret asked before Mothra went over to Kong.

"You helped me. And for that..., I thank you.", Kong spoke in an apparently different language.

"You're welcome. We'll be leaving soon, though. And we won't come back for some time.", Mothra replied in a similar language before Kong then turned to Conrad and the others on the ploat.

"LIVE LONG LIVES LITTLE HUMANS.", Kong said before then turning around and leaving as Weaver started to shed a tear before she and Conrad hugged before Margaret hopped onto Mothra, both of which turned to them.

"You're both leaving?", Conrad asked.

"Look. I'm sure you have a lot of questions about what happened, but you'll get answers soon. When we meet again, that is.", Margaret assured.

"Well, bye, guys. We'll meet again soon.", Mothra assured before she took off to the sky with Margaret in tow.

Later, the survivors were now en route back to the boat on a ploat.

"So what do you think, fellas? This way to Key West?", Mills asked.

"I think it is, brother.", Slivko grinned in reply.

"This place will change. Word will get out. It always does.", Conrad said.

"Well, it's not coming from us.", Weaver assured.

"We'll meet again. Don't know where. Don't know when. But I know we'll meet again.", Hank sang to himself softly.

With that, Weaver then took a picture of Hank before she, Conrad, and the others joined her outside as a few choppers emerged from the smoke.

As for Mothra and Margaret, the two were in midair with the sun in the horizon.

"Well, that was really something, huh, 'Martha'?", Margaret asked.

"It sure was. I still can't believe we met Kong in person.", Mothra responded.

"You know? Me, either. When we get back, we're gonna have one heck of a story to tell to our husbands.", Margaret responded.

"Yeah. They're definitely going to be surprised, all right.", Mothra responded before the two continued onward.

Blue Moon, you knew just what I was there for

You heard me saying a prayer for

Someone I really could care for do wah wah wah

And then there suddenly appeared before me

Eventually, the two arrived in time to see the army firing at a sort of Kaiju monster attacking the city. As the tanks fired their missiles at the monster, which proved ineffective, Mothra dropped Margaret off at the shore.

"All right. That's a spot closer to home. Do you think he might have time?", Mothra asked.

"You'd be surprised how often he makes time. 'Til then?", Margaret responded before Mothra started going up.

"See you again.", Mothra said before then taking off and flying away, leaving Margaret to go home, get her car, and drive up to where the kaiju monster is before stopping the car and getting out with the giant kaiju monster showing itself from the smoke before she stepped forward with the kaiju monster picking her up and getting a good look at her.

"It's you. Where have you been?", Belloc asked.

"We have a lot to talk about.", Margaret responded.

"We'll discuss this as we go.", Belloc said as he then took off from the wrecked city.

Meanwhile, Mothra had flown over to Godzilla, stretched out her wings, prompting him to ascend from the water with a roaring yawn, and spoke to him.

"I'm back, Zilly.", Mothra said eagerly.

"Mothra? You're back already?", Godzilla asked.

"Yeah. And you're not gonna believe what Margaret and I saw over at Skull Island.", Mothra said.

Meanwhile, Belloc, who was now near his cave, spoke to Margaret, riddled with surprise.

"You saw the titan of Skull Island?", Belloc asked in surprise.

"No. WE saw him.", Margaret responded.

"You mean to tell me that such a titan exists? How?", Belloc pondered.

"I don't really know for sure, either. But I have a feeling we might know sooner or later.", Margaret grinned, making Belloc growl in wonder and puzzlement.

As for Godzilla, he was more intrigued than surprised.

"The King of Skull Island? Here? Well, I have to admit, this sounds interesting.", Godzilla responded.

"You mean, you don't mind?", Mothra asked.

"Well, it's more interesting than surprising to me, Mothra. After all, since he's said to be king in his own right, I'll be looking forward to try beating him into submission. After all, even kings gotta have their lively challenges.", Godzilla responded as meanwhile, back in Skull Island, Kong noticed the three choppers in the air, pounded his chest, and roared.

A/N: Bet you weren't expecting that, huh? That's right. Benedict Cumberbatch and James Earl Jones both voice Godzilla at the same time for the fusion effect, baby! Also, I'm sure you must've guessed by now, but Martha was actually Mothra all along! Oh, but the 10th chapter is coming soon tonight. :)
