The Ghostbusters walked into the center of Masonic Avenue and Geary Boulevard. Before them, a towering wall of green fog stood, blocking their path. Menacing noises could be heard emanating from it.

"Anyone get the feeling Karl hasn't been himself lately?" Hogarth asked.

"Heat 'em up," Constance said, and with that, the Ghostbusters pulled out their Boson Dart rifles. Suddenly, shapes appeared in the mist, and moments later, it parted. Ghosts of all shapes and sizes stood where the mist had been, and they stared at the Ghostbusters menacingly.

"Remember, the Boson Darts won't kill any apparitions," Jefferson said, "but they will incapacitate the ghosts if you hit your target."

"In other words, just point and shoot," Hogarth said.

"Ya think?" Gordon replied.

At that moment, the ghosts let out a loud roar and charged like an invading army. Blasts of Boson energy shot from the rifles, dealing serious damage to the phantasms they came in contact with.

Turning, Hogarth spotted Scratcher flying straight towards him, mewling like a banshee. His claws were out and looking to shred fabric like there was no tomorrow.

"This is for scratching my uniform!" Hogarth roared, and with that, fired a Boson Dart straight at Scratcher. The resulting blast set Scratcher's tail on fire, and he flew away rapidly, howling in pain.

"Good riddance, ya hairball!" Hogarth shouted after him.

"Hogarth, a little help here!" Jefferson shouted.

Not needing to be told twice, Hogarth quickly spun around and pointed his rifle straight at Jefferson's attacker: A Class V apparition that appeared as though it came out of a Muppet show. It was purple, had bug-eyes, and teeth sharp enough to shame a great white.

The ghost let out a wicked cackle and flew straight at Jefferson. Aiming his Boson Dart rifle at the fiend, he pulled the trigger. The ghost was sent careening away, howling in anger.

"It's just a matter of aiming right at the target," Hogarth said.

"Guys!" Constance shouted. "We got company!"

At that moment, the five Prime Morganians stepped out of the fog that had surrounded them. Each of them carried a form of weaponry in their hands, whether it was firearms, blades, or otherwise. Looks of pure rage were visible on their faces.

"You were warned," Blackbeard snarled. "Now, you're going to die painfully for your mistake."

"Blasters at the ready," Jefferson ordered. "This is gonna take a while."

The Ghostbusters aimed their Boson Dart rifles at the Prime Morganians. The five ghosts charged with an eerie howl…and then they vanished. Looking over, the Ghostbusters stared in shock as the Prime Morganians were sucked into a trap Hogarth was holding. No one had noticed that Hogarth had simply stepped to the side as the Prime Morganians had prepared to attack, getting the ghost trap he carried ready to open up.

"But…how did…?" Constance sputtered. "There's no way you could have done that!"

"Funny thing is," Hogarth said, "when an enemy gets so powerful, they think they're invincible, but they're not. They were expecting a full-on assault, so I gave them something they didn't expect: A surprise attack."

"Nice job," Jefferson said. "I'm starting to think hiring you wasn't a mistake after all?"

"What?!"

"Nothing," Constance said, ending the argument. "We need to get to the Columbarium now. The Prime Morganians are likely Morgana's last line of defense."

"If that's true, why was it so easy so far?" Gordon asked.

"Do you not remember the killer ghost dinosaur that tried to shred us when we were driving Ecto-1SF?" Hogarth replied.

"Hogarth has a point," Constance added. "The Prime Morganians were the only ones that were truly easy, but only because Scott did something unexpected."

"But Morgana won't be fooled so easily," Jefferson added. "We'll need to be at our absolute peak if we hope to even stand a chance of beating her."

"Then what are we waiting for?" Hogarth asked. "Let's finish this."

Without delay, the Ghostbusters hurried towards the Columbarium, the storm cloud surrounding it growing worse and worse with each passing second.
