Chapter 1: Dresses & Invitations
Renji tossed and turned all night as he was overthinking about his wedding day with Rukia. He ended up having a small dream about it. He woke up as he gasped and panted. He looked over at Rukia as she was still asleep. Smiling as she had a small blush across her face.
Renji smiled as he kissed her cheek and got out of bed, putting on his bathrobe as he tied it and walked out to get his mind off things. He took out some weed, lit it up and began to smoke a bit. He stood under the moonlight as he smoked the blunt.
"Renji, I can smell that from my room." A voice said.
Renji jumped up as he held onto his chest and chuckled. "Yo Red, you gotta stop sneaking up on me like that."
Alice giggled as she stood next to him under the moonlight.
"Can't sleep?" Alice asked him as she looked at him.
"Nah. I mean I always do after making love to my girl, but this time….it's a little different." Renji explained as he inhaled the blunt.
"Are you worried about your wedding turning into a disaster?" Alice asked.
Renji looked at his friend, he sighed and nodded. "I am. I just want it to be…perfect. I mean look at Izaya and Keigo. Their wedding was perfect. Even though Izaya was having issues with Lieutenant Ayasegawa." Renji explained to Alice as he sighed and blew the weed.
"Renji, let them work on their issues and you just focus on your wedding with Rukia. Everything will go as planned." Alice said as she smiled at her friend.
Renji smiled at her as he patted her head. Alice smiled back as she hugged him tightly. Renji smiled and hugged her.
"You're too kind, red. What are you going to wear for our wedding~?" Renji asked his friend.
"May I wear a black dress? I feel very comfortable in black." Alice said as she smiled.
"You may. We're going to figure out our invitations. Wanna help pass them out?" Renji asked as he grinned.
"Hell yeah! I would love too, Renji. You're my best friend and I always help out my friends." Alice said as she smiled wide.
Renji chuckled, "Alright. Deal. Get some sleep now.~"
Alice giggled as she headed back to her room to get some sleep. Renji threw out the weed and headed back to his room. He opened the door and closed it back as he took off the bathrobe.
"Renji? Is everything alright, honey?" Rukia asked as she woke up.
"Whoa. Hey baby girl, I thought you were still asleep?" Renji asked Rukia.
"I was but then I woke up and saw that you weren't in bed. Is everything alright?" Rukia asked him as she crawled to him.
Renji nodded and rubbed his head. "I'm just a little worried about our wedding. I'm worried that it won't go well. Or what if your little brother and Yumichika just fight out of nowhere?" Renji asked as he panicked.
Rukia sat up and put her hands on his cheek, she smiled and kissed him passionately. "Everything will be okay, babe. I'm sure they'll work on their issues before our wedding happens." Rukia said as she smiled.
"You're right babygirl. You're so positive on things like this." Renji said as he smiled.
Rukia giggled as she pushed Renji down and laid on top of him. "I love you so much, babe.~"
"I love you too, baby girl.~" Renji said as he held onto her waist. The two ended up falling asleep again.
The morning has come. Alice was awake as she rolled over on her bed to avoid the sun. Renji woke up as he yawned and stretched. He then received a few text messages from his friends.
"Yo. Ready to get your tuxedo~? We're just too excited to get those invitations.~" Shuhei texted Renji.
"Hell yeah.~ I think my baby girl is ready for that too.~" Renji sent the text as he woke up Rukia.
Rukia smiled as she scooted to him. "Hey you.~ You're in a good mood.~"
"Hell yeah I am. Ready to get those invitations printed out~? Unless you want to edit them first?" Renji asked.
"We'll go through them, and if we like them then I'll approve. If you want to change a few things then we can do that too. I'm okay with anything.~" Rukia said as she smiled.
"Alright then deal. Let's get ready." Renji said as he got out of bed with Rukia.
Alice was by the koi fish pond, drinking her coffee and reading her witchy books. She looked up as she saw Renji and Rukia running happily to the gates. Alice smiled as she stood up to wash out her coffee mug. She bumped into someone. She gasped as she grabbed her mug and panted.
"Oh my, I'm so sorry. Are ya alright?" A voice said as he held out his hand to help Alice.
"Yeah I'm fine. I'm-" Alice gasped, seeing Gin again. She always gets into some kind of cold trance. Like she's under his spell or something. She couldn't say anything.
Gin tilted his head as he looked at Alice, confused. "Lieutenant Akiko? Are ya alright?" Gin asked her again.
Alice began to sweat, she then saw Rangiku walk up to them.
"Hi~! Gin, we're supposed to head to the world of the living later on today to buy some cute dresses for Rukia's wedding~! We should get ready~!" Rangiku said happily.
"Huh? Ah yes yes, mah lady.~" Gin said as he grinned.
Alice got out of Gin's trance as she smiled at them. "Well you two do that. I'll just be in my room, uh, reading." Alice said as she faked yawn.
"Reading?! Dear girl, you must come with us~!" Rangiku said as she squealed.
"All at once, correct?" Another voice said that startled them.
"Whaaaa! Captain, you gotta stop sneaking up on me like that.~" Rangiku said as she giggled.
Toshiro rolled his eyes. "I'm sorry. I'm a little tired and- " Toshiro yawned as he shook his head. "You see?"
Rangiku and Gin chuckled. Alice smiled as she tiptoed to her room. But she got stopped by Momo Hinamori.
"Oh, why hello Lieutenant Akiko! Are you getting ready to go shopping with us?" Momo asked.
"Who's we?" Alice asked as she tilted her head.
"Me, Rangiku, Gin, eh. Toshiro, eh, and Kusaka. I believe." Momo said as she smiled.
"Maybe later. I'm not really in the mood to go dress shopping, but I'll come by a little later." Alice said as she smiled at Momo.
"Oh…..a-alright. If you ever change your mind just let me know." Momo said as she hugged her.
Alice smiled and hugged back and waved at her. She watched Momo go to her friends. Alice then saw Yumichika with a giant box carrying it to his room. She went up to him and asked if he needed any help.
"Huh? Oh hello, Lieutenant Akiko. Sure you can help me if you want. I ordered this offline and it came in today. Such fast shipping." Yumichika said as he giggled.
"Alright. I'll take this end." Alice said.
"Thanks so much. Are you not going to the mall or anything?" Yumichika asked her.
"Maybe later. I didn't sleep well last night." Alice said to Yumichika.
"Aww, I understand. The mall can be such a pain in the ass to walk around. I prefer to shop online now." Yumichika said as they finally reached his room.
"Oh I agree." Alice said as she giggled.
Ikkaku opened the door as he moved out of the way.
"Yo.~ I see you've brought a friend over for a hang out.~" Ikkaku said as he grinned.
"Maybe later guys. I'm sorry. I'm a little tired." Alice said as she sat the box on their bed.
"Yeah, the night doesn't like us sleeping that much. Isn't that right, babe~?" Yumichika said as he rubbed his nose on Ikkaku's nose.
Ikkaku grinned and did the same, "You know it, sweet cakes.~"
Alice smiled at them as she yawned. "Look, I'm going to head to my room before I end up passing out. I'll see you guys later."
Alice left their room as she stretched. She still saw a few others around. She yawned again as she took her phone and texted Izaya.
"Hey, if you're not so busy, would you and your husband like to head to the mall with me to buy a dress tomorrow. I don't feel like going right now." Alice sent the text.
"Sure. Let us know what time you want to head there. We're working on our garden." Izaya texted Alice back.
"You bet!" Alice said as she once again bumped into someone. She groaned and looked to see who it was.
"Huh? My apologies, are you alright?" A voice said as they held out their hand.
Alice looked up, it was Kaname Tousen. She gasped and grabbed onto his hand.
"Yes. I'm sorry. I'm in a rush to sleep again but I keep bumping into people." Alice said as she nervously laughed.
"Ah, I see. You're still sleepy. That's why. Mind if I can walk you to your room?" Tousen asked her.
"You may. Thanks so much. Maybe I'll stop bumping into others." Alice said as she held onto his arm.
Tousen smiled as the two walked to her room.
"Are you going to the mall later on?" Tousen asked Alice.
"Yes. I'm going with Izaya and his husband. The mall gets quieter around sundown." Alice explained to Tousen.
"Ah, I agree. No worries. Well here you are, Lieutenant Akiko, I hope you'll have a nice nap." Tousen said as he bowed.
"Thank you. I'll see you later." Alice said as she bowed back and headed to her room. She sighed as she felt drained and exhausted. She closed the blinds and just flopped to her bed. Cuddled her pillow and fell asleep.
Renji and Rukia were at the print shop, editing their invitations as they typed down everything they needed.
"Oh, what kind of food do you want, babe~?" Renji asked Rukia.
"Oh! I didn't even think of refreshments. Hmmm? How about pizza? I mean it's extremely popular." Rukia requested.
"Hell yeah! And how about we get as many different kinds?" Renji asked Rukia.
"Yes I agree love. And dessert? Drinks?" Rukia asked as she smiled.
"Hmmm? Hey, I'm a little tired of soda, why not have apple cider? Or whatever it's called." Renji said as he was clueless.
Rukia giggled, "Yes! I actually always wanna try those. Izaya told me that they have so many flavors and he likes them all." Rukia explained happily.
"Well then let's get as many flavors as possible~!" Renji suggested.
"Okay love.~" Rukia said as she typed it down. She ended up seeing her friends at the clothing store trying on dresses.
"Boo, what are the colors again for the girls~?" Rangiku asked as she came out wearing a dark purple strapless dress. Showing off her arms, legs, and shoulders.
Gin looked at her and blushed a deep red. Giselle and the others saw Rangiku as their faces were all red.
"Whoa momma~! You look so damn hot~!" Giselle said as she drooled.
"You're literally making me question my sexuality, Miss.~" Candice also said.
Rangiku giggled at them as she patted on their heads, "You girls are so sweet.~"
"Honey, it's beautiful and all but I don't think that's tha color for tha wedding." Gin said as he tilted his head.
"It's not? What's the color theme then?" Rangiku asked as she giggled.
"It's black and light blue. But Lieutenant Kuchiki said it can be any color. Purple, pastel blue, or white." Momo said as she smiled.
"Ah perfect~! Thank you Rukia~!" Rangiku said as she squealed.
"Would you like to try on different dresses? We got these for sale since they were popular to be sold." Liltotto said to Rangiku.
Rangiku turned around as she squealed, "Sure~! I'll be back out soon, lovelies~!" Rangiku said as she picked out those dresses to try them on.
Rukia and Renji were all finished with the invitations as they got them all wrapped up in a red & black bow.
"So how are we going to pass them out? Just randomly or like what we did last time?" Renji asked.
"Hmmm, maybe what we did last time. But since they're still here, wanna give them one?" Rukia asked as she smiled.
"Sure baby girl. Hey wait, it's Captain Hitusgaya and Kusaka. They're first~!" Renji said as he ran up to them and gave them an invitation.
"Whoa, Lieutenant Abarai, I see you already got them printed out?" Toshiro asked as he raised an eyebrow.
"Yep, and we want you two to take them first." Renji said happily.
"Why thank you. I can't wait to see this wedding. I'm sorry I missed the first one. Is there a way I can watch it?" Kusaka asked.
"We have a DVD of it, love. We can watch it together once we head home." Toshiro said as he smiled at Kusaka.
"Oh that sounds perfect, love.~" Kusaka said as he grinned.
"Here you guys. Take these to them over there. I feel like Rangiku will be staying there for a while shopping for dresses.~" Rukia said as she giggled.
"Yeah, you're right. Thank you. You two get some rest. We'll check in a little later." Toshiro said as he waved at them.
Rukia and Renji waved back as they headed outside.
"Erm, what about them? Erm the Espadas?" Renji asked Rukia.
"Well I gave some to Nel, so she'll pass them out. No worries babe. This wedding will be perfect. But do you think Yumichika and Izaya have already made up?" Rukia asked her lover.
"Well, I can't say for sure. I hope they have though." Renji said as he pulled Rukia close to him. Kissing her cheek.
Rukia smiled as she opened the gate. "Let's go, big boy.~"
Renji grinned as they headed inside back to the soul society.
"Here you guys go. Rukia wanted us to pass these out to y'all." Toshiro said as he gave the femritters, Momo, Gin, and Rangiku one.
"Ooooooh~! So exciting~! Thanks captain. Is she still here?" Rangiku asked.
"She just left. And are you done, lieutenant? Toshiro asked Rangiku.
"Eeeep!" Rangiku looked at the two dresses as she picked out the first one that was on sale. "I'll take this one!"
"Ah, perfect. You've picked out a great choice, momma." Giselle said as she ranged it up.
"Well you know me.~ I love shopping for cute, pretty, and sexy things.~" Rangiku said as she winked at Gin.
Gin blushed as he looked away.
"Look, we'll meet you by the gates." Toshiro said as he and Kusaka walked out. Momo ended up following them as she smiled at her friend.
"Hey ummm, about this wedding, will that one guy be there? I can't remember his name but I don't wish to see him and get hurt by him again. Knowing that Izaya will go apeshit and fight him for me." Giselle asked Rangiku.
"Here, let's exchange numbers and I'll let you know. But if you want, me and my husband can sit by you and I'll make sure he'll stay away from you." Rangiku said to Giselle.
"I actually love that idea.~ Thanks, Rangiku~!" Giselle said as she hugged Rangiku.
Rangiku chuckled as she hugged her back. "Alright now, I'll see you later.~"
"Bye bye~!" Giselle said as she waved at Rangiku and Gin.
The two headed back to the soul society. By the time they returned back, everyone was eating.
Alice woke up, realizing that she slept long. She had a text message from Grimmjow.
"Hey girlie, the mall is about to close real soon. Do you wanna come over for a sleepover and then we can head to the mall in the morning?" Grimmjow asked Alice.
"Good idea~! Let me pack and I'll be on my way." Alice said as she sent the text and got out of bed. She began to pack as she heard something slip under her door.
She walked over to it and picked it up. It was the wedding invitation. She opened it as she squealed quietly. She wiped her tears away and hid the invitation under her pillow.
"My tears will be saved for their wedding." Alice said as she walked out. She once again bumped into someone.
"Hey Red. How are you feeling?" Renji asked his friend.
"Hey! I'm alright, just tired. I heard the mall is closed." Alice said to Renji.
"Yep. I see you're going somewhere?" Renji asked as he saw Alice's bags.
"I'm going to sleepover at Izaya's for the night, then we'll head to the mall in the morning." Alice told Renji as she smiled at him.
"Ah, good idea. Yeah we kinda spent a lot of time there. Rangiku had a great time it seems." Renji said as he chuckled.
Alice also chuckled, "Hey girl's gotta shop till she drops.~" Alice said.
"Hell yeah. Well go have fun, alright. And get some sleep tonight.~" Renji said as he grinned.
"You too. See ya later.~" Alice said as she walked to the gates.
A few saw her walking to the gates. They didn't say anything as they kept minding their own business. Alice arrived at the gates as she walked in and met Izaya outside.
"Hey. Did anyone see you sneak out?" Izaya asked Alice.
"Just Renji. Also I'm hungry….sorry.." Alice said as she turned red.
"We got food.~ Let's go." Izaya said as he held onto Alice's wrist and they both headed to his home to start their shopping spree tomorrow.
