Mother/Daughter

The last thing Sara had expected as she and Mick walked away from Alex was a call from her mother, who told her she needed to talk to her right away before hanging up. Preventing her from being able to say anything and told Mick to go ahead without her while she got a Cab to her mother's. The ensuing slap to the face was the last thing she'd expected as well after her mom opened the door. "Mom! What the Hell!?" Sara asked in shock as she rubbed her stinging cheek as that had hurt!

"Get in here." Ordered the unhappy sounding woman and Sara did as told.

Once in the living room, Sara saw the TV playing the news report of the battle against the Nazis and realized why her mom was upset. "What the Hell do you think you're playing at, young lady?" Demanded to know Dinah as she pointed at the TV.

"I'm not playing at anything, dealing with pieces of garbage like that is a part of what I do now in Life."

Dinah could only stare at her little girl in shock before pushing past it. "Are, are you trying to emulate your Sister!? Because you know what happened to her!"

"No, Mom, I'm not doing that at all and if Damien Darhk hadn't had the edge he did, she'd still be alive today. And I've been doing this kind of thing longer than she was the Black Canary actually." Sara told her while feeling hate once again for the fact that she couldn't bring her Sister back in order to keep the Timeline intact.

Though since other Earths exists and all, Sara couldn't help but wonder if there was some kind of work around to it all and felt guilty for wondering about that. "I don't care how long you've been doing this kind of thing, young lady, because it stops RIGHT NOW!" Declared Dinah strongly.

She didn't want to lose her youngest, not again as Dinah didn't think she could handle losing both of her Daughters. Sara could only stare at her Mom's not so surprising request as she'd quickly come to realize that was likely to happen. Taking a deep breath before speaking as she stood straight, Sara spoke. "I'm sorry, Mom, but I can't do that. As the White Canary and Captain of the Legends, I am Duty Bound to help where and whenever that help is needed." Responded the woman with no waver in her voice.

Figuring it was for the best to not mention the whole Time Traveling aspect where the Legends are concerned. "You… You can't be serious."

"I am."

Her mother came up to her with a pleading look on her face. "Sweetheart, please! Think about this! If, if you need help we can get you that help!"

Shaking her head in dismay, Sara told her she didn't need any help. "Why would I when I'm doing something that helps others? Something that makes ME happy?" Maybe she should show her mom the Waverider and what they do now that she thought about it a little…

Then again that could easily backfire for all she knew. "Oh God! We, your father and I should've gotten you in to see a Therapist after you came back to us!" Moaned her mother.

"What!? I do NOT need a Therapist!" Countered Sara.

Though then again, her and just about everyone else she knew in her current circle probably needed to see one for one reason or another given their experiences. But ultimately, Sara felt she didn't need Therapy for her current place in Life and her Mom was just going to have to deal with that. "Look, I need to get going as I've got someone I need to check on."

The Professor was going to be a hard act to follow but she was still thanking whatever Diety out there that they hadn't lost him to those Nazi Bastards. She wasn't sure what Jax was going to do but she'd talk with him about it soon. Turning around to make her leave, Sara found herself stopped in her tracks by her Mom's voice. "I don't want to do this but I will call the Police if I have too, Sara. You need help." Threatened the Mother.

Half turning herself to face her Mom with a serious expression her face, Sara spoke. "If that's what you feel you have to do, then do it. But its gonna be a long time before I'll ever speak to you again if you do."

And with that, Sara made her leave, ignoring her Mother's calls as she did so and feeling her Heart break just a little over the whole thing.

Author's Notes: As y'all know by now, Legends/Batwoman have both been disappointingly cancelled. Hopefully we get a continuation of some kind, especially for Legends considering things were left on a cliffhanger from the looks of things at the end of season 7. Though I imagine had they known this was going to happen, they wouldn't have done that.
