Heyy, part 2! Sorry for the wait, I didn't think my perfectionist self would make it take this long\

So this came to me in a dream (or something. I just remember waking up at 2 o'clock and scribbling this shit in a notebook.), and I expanded onto it. Hope you enjoy!

It was worth more than its weight in gold. It was worth more than all the gems Magnus had seen, combined. Hell, it was worth more than any other gem in the entire world.

Through the water gathering in his eyes, Magnus could just make out blue eyes staring back at him, velvet box in hand, his tears making the ring look like a green blur. But there it was- the one thing Magnus thought he'd never had- worth so much it was priceless.

Magnus reached down to pull Alec up by his outstretched hand and kissed him hard, pouring all the words he couldn't say into the kiss. And Alec kissed him back with the same intensity, the same depth of love and passion, so much emotion that Magnus felt like he was drowning in it. But Alec was there, pulling him up, keeping him anchored, not letting him drift away.

Alec would always be there for him.

Magnus forgot about the world around them, save for his Alexander and the fireworks behind his eyelids. (Magnus was surprised. He had forgotten that he needs oxygen to survive.)

They pulled apart, breathing heavily.

"Is that a yes, then?" Alec asked, his kiss-swollen lips pulled into a crooked smile.

"You stupid Nephilim, of course it's a yes!"

...

He'd never thought he could have something like this. A family, a life, with the person he loved beyond words. Magnus had never even dared to even dream of settling down, of loving someone like this, and of being loved back so unconditionally. He still doubted it, sometimes; that all of this just wasn't some elaborate dream, and he would wake up in a life without his Alexander.

A knock sounded on the doorframe, his husband (his husband!) leaning on the threshold, smiling that crooked smile that never failed to make Magnus weak in the knees.

"Hey there," Alec said softly. "What're you thinking so deeply about in here?"

Magnus walked over to him and pressed a soft kiss to his cheek. "All good thoughts my love," he replied coyly.

And he was. All those what-ifs had flown out of his head and all that was left was Alexander.

"I'm glad," Alec replied. "You coming? The boys are getting impatient."

"Just the boys?" Magnus quipped.

Alec stuck his tongue out at him.

Magnus laughed delightedly. "Okay, let's go, before Max turns Chairman's fur pink again," he said.

He followed Alexander outside, a warm feeling blooming in his chest (one he'd gotten used to now, with Alexander being a constant in his life) at the sight of his husband picking up one of their children (their children!) and swinging him around, Max laughing gleefully and Rafe smiling up at his brother and father.

...

Sometimes he thought that all of this was not real. But then, he would feel the comforting pressure of the cool metal band around his finger, and he'd think about his gorgeous, blue-eyed angel and the life they had built, and smile.

Anyone crying happy tears or smiling into their screens yet?

Hope you review!
