Alec was walking home after a long day at the Institute, mind still filled with the demands of the Clave and the mountains of paperwork he had left to do. He sighed. Those would have to wait. For now, he couldn't wait to go home to Magnus and revel in the comfort and warmth his boyfriend's loft gave off. (Really, anywhere Magnus was gave off the same sense of comfort and home to Alec.)

He wondered when he had started to refer to Magnus' loft as home. It was funny how a place he only found out existed a while ago had become more of a home than the Institute, where he had lived practically his entire life.

As he kept walking, Alec's thoughts spiralled further. His jean-clad legs were on autopilot as they took long strides on the familiar path snaking to the loft. Alec began to think about his beautiful boyfriend (Alec had found his thoughts often running in this direction nowadays), and how much he missed those eyes and lips and- oh, by the Angel, it had only been five hours since Alec last saw his Magnus! (Although, in his defence, anyone would miss the words of someone sane after talking to his parabatai and sister and their respective girlfriend and boyfriend!)

Sometimes, Alec wondered what his life would have come to if Magnus hadn't shown up in it.

But, now, he was just thinking of how lucky he was to find someone like Magnus. Alec had fallen hard, the way Nephilim do, and though it took him a while to realize it, Magnus was it for him.

He'd fallen in love with the way Magnus looks in the morning, so soft and unguarded. How utterly selfless he is, how much he cared for everyone. The way Magnus talks to Chairman Meow when he thinks Alec isn't home. How Magnus calls him Alexander like the name- like Alec himself- is something to be treasured. He loves how special Magnus makes him feel, how he looks at Alec like he's the only person in the world.

A soft smile crept on his face.

Alec looked up in surprise when he felt a drop of rain on his arm, pulling him out of his reverie, and proceeded to head home faster. It wasn't that he minded the rain, it was just that Magnus was a complete mother hen (he denied it) when Alec got even a little wet. Sure, that little pout and furrowed brow were adorable, but Alec was much happier when Magnus was happy.

The drizzle had gotten heavier and was now turning into a steady downpour, leaving everything wet and gray. His hair was covered in drops of water, sparkling in the light like diamonds through the darkness of his curls. Alec's clothes were spattered with clusters of drops here and there, but he wasn't wet. Yet.

Just then, a brightly coloured umbrella appeared, levitating right above him. He caught the glittery handle and smiled.

Magnus.

Sorry, there wasn't any malec interaction in this one... But I hope you liked a sappy, in-love Alec! Hope you review!

Also, if you have any prompts for me, or any ideas you'd like to see complete, let me know! (I'm not running out of ideas shh)
