Remus woke from his nap with a start, as there was screaming coming from the kitchen of the small house he shared with his goddaughter.

He lept up from the couch and ran towards the screaming. The sight that he saw flooded him with relief, it was just Adhara jumping around in excitement holding her Hogwarts letter. Wait! Her Hogwarts letter! It had finally come!

Remus joined Adhara's celebrations and gave her a bone crushing hug. "Remmy, I can't breathe." Adhara gasped out.

"Oh, sorry Ara." Remus apologized before releasing her from the hug. "I'm just really happy for you is all." He explained, with a huge smile.

"I know, I am so excited to go to hogwarts, get sorted, make friends, learn spells, make potions, oh I hope I get sorted into Hufflepuff, what if I don't, what If i can't make friends, what if-."

"Calm down Ara. I'm sure you'll get into Hufflepuff and I'm sure you'll make plenty of friends." Remus cut off her ramblings, before she gets to stuck in her head.

Adhara took a deep breath before opening the letter and reading it,

"When can we go school shopping?" Adhara questioned, excited to go to Diagonalley. Even though a pure blood witch she had never been to diagon alley before. Though she had always wanted to go.

"Well, since it is already noon." Remus said checking his watch. "We'll have to go tomorrow." He finished, looking at Adhara.

Adhara nodded and went back to making herself some lunch. While Remus went to write a letter back to McGonagall.

Later that night as Adhara was about to go to bed she looked out of her bedroom window and sighed. "Hey dad, I know you can't hear me but I just wanna say that I love you and miss you." She said her eyes welling up in tears. "And I know that despite everything that you are innocent." She finished off as tears were running down her face.

She felt a hand on her shoulder and turn to see Remus. Adhara wrapped her arms around him and let it all out. Remus wrapped his arms around her and held her 'till she stopped crying and had passed out.

He picked her up and carried her to bed, placed a kiss to her head before saying goodnight and that he loves her, before leaving to have an early nights rest himself.

The next morning Adhara woke up to the smell of bacon, eggs and pancakes! Yuck, Adhara does not like pancakes, not at all. Remus, ofcourse, knew this for she told him everytime he made them, but he only made them because he loves them.

Adhara got out of bed, Remus' old shirt going down to her knees as she made her way to the bathroom. After she was finished in there she made her way to the kitchen, stopping halfway through the doorway to stretch and yawn. Remus let out a chuckle.

"What?" Adhara said, giving Remus a challenging stare.

"Nothing!" Remus put his hands up in defense. "Sometimes you just act so much like your father." Remus explained.

"Oh." Adhara said before taking a seat at the table. Her tummy started grumbling as she piled eggs and bacon on her plate. He may not look like it but Remus cooks the best bacon and eggs ever, well in Adhara's opinion anyway.

"How did you sleep last night?" Remus asked Adhara. Curious as to why she was laughing in her sleep again.

"Oh! I had the weirdest dream." Adhara told Remus before launching into a whole story about it.

By the end of her story the plates were cleared and their faces held bright smiles.

Fifteen minutes later and Adhara was dressed in a black weird sisters shirt tucked into a pair of light blue mom Jeans, with white sneakers to top it off. Her hair pulled back into two half-up half-down braids.

Remus and Adhara walked out of the house, hand in hand, ready to apparate to Diagonally.
