Thomas drove the Ferrari to the marina and parked it far enough away from the warehouse in order to not draw attention to himself. During the drive there, he did consider calling his friends for some extra manpower, however Higgins' words did hold some truth; every time he asked his friends to tag along and/or help him on a case, it usually put them in harm's way. He hated it, and he hated himself for ever asking his friends to risk anything for him. He knew that if anything happened to his friends because he asked them for help, he would never be able to forgive himself, so Thomas decided he'd do this job alone.

He quickly and quietly made his way to the warehouse, and after picking the lock of the side door, he made it inside. Thomas hid behind one of the many large, wooden crates and waited for any signs of life in the building. Finding the warehouse empty besides himself and all of the storage crates and containers, he straightened and wondered around, looking for anything suspicious.

After several minutes of searching the large warehouse, Magnum ventured towards the group of crates closest to the door leading to the loading dock of the marina. The crates were labeled as different kinds of seafood, but there was no fishy smell, and the crates didn't look to be refrigerated. Finding it odd that non-refrigerated seafood wasn't smelling like anything at all, Magnum focused his efforts on those crates. Using a nearby crowbar, Magnum opened one of the crates and found dozens of packs with what he assumed to be cocaine.

"Well, I found what I was looking for," Magnum said to himself. He took several pictures on his phone before placing the top of the crate back on.

He walked towards the door that he used to go into the warehouse when the same door suddenly opened. Four men stood in Magnum's way, and he knew he was in trouble and had to act fast.

"Hey fellas," Thomas said coolly. "I'm in the wrong building. Sorry about that."

"You had to pick the lock, didn't that tell you anything?" One of the men questioned.

Taking a few casually steps forward, Thomas smiled. "Yeah, well my ex changed all the locks on me at the house, so I wasn't surprised when my key didn't work here either."

While two of them remained in Thomas's way to freedom, the other two walked around the building. After a few moments of silence, Thomas gambled and continued his way towards the door.

"Look, I have to get going. I'm sorry for barging in here. I promise it won't happen again," he said. He hoped his smile would be enough to convince these guys, but he wasn't that lucky.

"Hey boss, this one's been opened," one of the men said from behind Thomas.

Immediately, the two men at the door engaged Thomas in a hand-to-hand fight. The other men were larger, but Magnum was significantly more skilled in combat. While his two opponents landed a few blows, Thomas quickly had them both on the ground. He was reaching for the gun he had tucked in his waistband when an unforeseen force slammed into him. He ended up on the floor, causing him to scramble to get his weapon. When he grabbed his firearm, he stood and turned to face the now three men that were in front of him, one had a gun trained on him.

"Looks like you weren't lost," the man with the gun said.

While his previous assailants were still trying to become steady on their feet, Magnum had his gun pointed at the other armed man. "Trust me, you don't want to do this," Magnum warned. "If you turn yourselves in and cooperate, you'll get a better deal than if you shoot me, and definitely better than if you manage to kill me."

"I'll take my chances," the man said with a smirk.

At the sound of a gunshot and the immediate burning pain in his left leg, Magnum fired his weapon and hit his target. He knew the other man was dead before he hit the floor.

While Magnum fought to remain standing, he looked at the other two men in front of him. One of them looked at their fallen comrade in shock, and the other glared back at Thomas. Before Thomas could think or do anything else, a sudden blinding pain appeared in his skull and he immediately blacked out.
