Bullwinkle awoke.
He was in an unfamiliar landscape. A landscape of mostly grassy plains, dotted here and there with a few bamboo forests. In the distance, there lay a vast mountain. A number of cranes flew over his head, creating a rather beautifully shaped "v".
The narrator was not even there.
"Guess I'll start walkin'…" Bullwinkle spoke, standing up and looking around.
"Greetings, stranger." The squirrel that looked and sounded like Rocky spoke. "I, am Kensuke."
"No, you're Rocky!" Bullwinkle replied. "Am I glad to see y—"
Within a single instant, Kensuke's blade sliced the hairs on Bullwinkle's head down two inches.
"—ou." Bullwinkle cleared his throat, then noticed the way his hair looked now. "Wow…thanks…been needin' a haircut."
"There is no time—" Kensuke grabbed Bullwinkle's hand. "We must go…."
"Go where?" Bullwinkle asked.

A/N: So whatcha think? I couldn't really think of a good enough plot for this, (originally Mr. Peabody was going to take Rocky and Bullwinkle time traveling to the age of samurai) then I sort of envisioned Bullwinkle walking through a very Japanese painting-like landscape with a samurai/ninja Rocky defending him.
