* I saw 'Sleepless in Seattle' the other day and thought it would be fun if had a crossover with one of my favorite TV series 'Friends', so here it is.
This doesn't have the exact same details as friends. Here, Chandler, Joey, Ross and phoebe are friends and Monica and Rachel are friends. (Of course, Ross and Monica aren't siblings). Monica lives in apartment 20, but Chandler lives somewhere else in New York, Manhattan. Monica didn't go out with any other guys after Richard and Chandler didn't cheat on Joey with Kathy.
Lastly, I do not own any of these characters.
I hope you enjoy it! *
Sleepless in New York
Cross over of: Sleepless in Seattle/Friends
Monica gets in her Porsche and drives out of the restaurant parking lot. She turns the radio on, and channeling around for what fits her mood. Everything else doesn't sound convincing tonight. She stops at a program called 'Tell us how you feel'.
Radio: Welcome back to 'Tell us how you feel'. I'm Doctor Lyla Wright, broadcasting live in New York. Tonight, we'll talk about your wish this Christmas eve. New York go ahead.
Joey: Hello? This is Joey-.
R: without last names, please.
Jo: Oh, okay.
R: What's your Christmas wish, Joey?"
Jo: Well, it's not for me. I think my friend needs a new girlfriend.
R: Oh, you must be great friends with him.
Jo: Yeah, we actually share an apartment together. And he has always been there for me when I needed help. So I wanted to help him this time.
R: I understand. So do you not like his current girlfriend?
Jo: No, he doesn't have one now. That's the problem.
R: May I ask what happened?
Jo: I can't say much but he recently broke up with his girlfriend.
R: Aw, I'm sorry to hear that.
Jo: Yeah, I guess this relationship was really serious, and now he won't even get up his barcalounger wearing sweatpants.
R: And I guess you couldn't help him?
Jo: Yeah, I tried to take him to a strip club or go to the country side and go fishing but he's been all gloomy.
R: I see. I assume your friend is home now?
Jo: Yeah. He's still in his chair.
R: I'm sure I can help. Can you pass your friend the phone?
Monica: My god, woman!
-She stares at the radio, thinking the woman is being cruel.
Jo: Are you kidding? He doesn't know that I'm calling the radio station and now if he finds out, he's gonna kill me!
R: Trust me Joey, I can talk him out.
Jo: Alright, but if he gets mad, I'm not listening to your radio ever.
R: Okay. (The woman chuckles)
Jo: Hey, Chandler. There's someone on the phone for you.
Chandler: Oh yeah? Is it Kathy my ex who cheated on me or Nick who slept with her.
Jo: Just pick up the phone. His name is Chandler. (Talking to the phone)
Ch: Hello?
R: Hello, Chandler. This is Dr. Lyla Wright on the radio and you are on 'Tell us your feelings'
Ch: Okay, but I'm not in the mood to blab about my feelings across America, right now.
R: I understand, but I want you to know that your friend called to get some advice to help you get over your girlfriend.
Ch: You called a radio station? Are you serious?
(glancing at Joey and placing his hand on his waist.)
R: Chandler, Your friend Joey is worried about you. So what about you and I talk about it?
Jo: Talk to her, man. I've never been in a serious relationship. Maybe she can help. She's a doctor.
Ch: Of what? Her first name could be doctor.
R: Chandler, it's his Christmas wish.
Ch: Okay.
R: I know this is difficult, but how long has it been since you broke up?
Ch: 2 weeks ago.
R: Have you gone out after?
Ch: No.
R: Why not? Oh, and I know this could be invading your privacy.
Ch: Oh really? I'm glad you do realized it
Monica: I'm glad you do realize that.
Monica gets surprised when his word are exactly same as her's. She turns the volume up, Feeling the sudden eager of wanting to hear his story.
Ch: Look, I'm trying to deal with it and when I do, he won't have to be concerned about me, and our friendship will be okay as soon as I get off air and kill him.
R: Haha. I have no doubt you guys are good friends. Just a few questions. Do you sleep at night?
Ch: Well, no. Okay look. Uhh..uhhh.. Kathy. My ex-girlfriend. She was..perfect. She was beautiful and sweet. I just felt like she was the one. I knew it the very first time I saw her. It was like she was the only right thing in my life. When I looked her in the eye.. It was like something Clicked
Mon: Clicked.
-Monica says the word in sink. She felt the connection for him even with the fact that he was a total stranger on a radio. The way he talks about his ex-girlfriend..she knew how he felt towards her. Monica also thought Richard was the one to spend the rest of her life with.
Ch: But then I guess, she didn't feel that way.
She felt the bitterness in his last comment.
R: Okay, we'll come back after these messages. Chandler, Joey. Don't go away. If you've just tuned in. We're talking to sleepless in New York. We'll be right back after this break with listener's responses.
Ch: (He gestured 'What's she talking about?')
Jo: This is where other people get in and dump on your story.
Ch: Oh, well, this gotta be fun-AND helpful.
R: Now we're back to sleepless. Chandler, is it okay if I ask how you broke up with your girlfriend?
Ch: Uhh-yeah. Kathy.. she a.. actually hooked up with one of her co-stars in a play.
R: So she cheated on you. I'm sorry to hear that Chandler.
Ch: Nah, that's alright. It's just I feels like I'm the guy everyone cheats on, you know?
R: Don't think that. I'm sure you'll find someone. She just didn't show up yet. So what are you going to do now?
Ch: Ahh..I'm going to try to get out of my chair and go to work. After a while, I won't have to remind myself to get out of the chair and go to work and then I'll forget how great it was to be with her.
R: Well, I think it's time to wrap it up. It was Dr. Lyla wright on 'Tell us how you feel'. I wish you all a merry Christmas and to you sleepless in New York.
Chandler puts the phone back and puts both his hands in his pocket. Joey looks at him unsure of his reaction. Then chandler walked up to Joey and giving him a hug.
Ch: Thanks for doing that for me, man.
He sounded sincere.
Ch: Looking for a girlfriend across America. I mean, could I BE more pathetic?
He sarcastically joked. Joey smiled at his friend.
Ch: And hey- from tomorrow I'll get up and go to work. I gotta pay the bills, right?
Chandler laughed and pat his friend on the shoulders before he left for his room.
Monica enters her apartment. Her roommate Rachel walks out of her room
Rachel: Hey, Mon~tired?
Mo: Yes, today was the busiest day since I've have been working there. How about you?
Ra: Eh, just the usual stuff. Oh! Did you hear the radio last night? A guy called and told that his friend was looking for a new girlfriend.
Mo: Oh, yeah. I was driving home and I actually cried listening to it. I mean, I could feel how much he loved her. And when he told that she was the one he wanted to spend the rest of her life, it just reminded me of my relationship with Richard.
Monica dreamingly said leaving her coat and purse on the kitchen table.
Ra: Aww, honey~.
Rachel hugged her, rubbing her back. She knew how hard it was for her friend to get over that man. Monica smiled at her friend.
Mo: Anyways He really seemed like a sweet person. I can't understand why she cheated on him.
Ra: I don't know but there could've been some reasons.
Mo: Really? A guy who thinks the woman is his destiny will treat her bad?
Mo: I mean, these days there aren't many men who are really committed and devoted to someone. They just want a fling! But this guy doesn't seem so..
Ra: Oh, I think someone has a crush on ~
Ma: Rachel-
Ra: Okay, okay. But I heard over 2000 woman called the radio station and asked for his address. If you want to, you could ask for it, too?
A smile never leaving her face Rachel checked her friend's reaction.
Mo: Oh come on~. That's ridiculous
Ra: just saying~
Rachel giggled and grabbed her coat.
Ra: Anyways, I'm going out for dinner tonight, so don't wait for me~.
Monica said goodbye to her and sat on the table, imagining herself writing a letter to him.
Chandler looked at his bedroom ceiling his head full of thoughts. In his imaginations Kathy appeared looking at him.
Ka: Aren't you going to move on and forget about the woman who cheated on you?
She somewhat had a sad and wishful look. It seemed to him that she half wanted him to date someone.
Ch: Do you want me to?
She didn't answer but kept looking at him with a little sad smile.
Ch: Hey, Kathy. Did you really love me?
He asked with half doubt. He knew the answer but just wanted to check. And her smile told him everything he wanted to hear. He made a small crooked smile and turned to the side not facing her. When he turned around she wasn't there.
Chandler stopped in front of his apartment door. There were piles of envelopes. He could clearly see pink and red hearts decorating the covers. He entered the apartment and saw Joey eating cereals on the kitchen chair.
Ch: Hey- what's all this?
Jo: Oh, some chicks sent letters for you after the radio was on air.
Ch: How?
Jo: Oh, I gave the radio station our address.
Ch: You what?
Jo: Look Chandler, if you want to start your love life again, you can start with these chicks.
Jo: How about this one? "Sleepless in New York, you have a very attractive voice."
Chandler walked to the fridge. Joey opened the next envelope.
Jo: "Mr. New York, I live in Tulsa." Where is Tulsa?
Joey asked trying to picture the state.
Ch: It's in Oklahoma.
Joey laughed at the word and added.
Jo: Hey, I know I'm weak in this area but you can't make up names~
Chandler was speechless. Joey continued reading them but he just sarcastically commented on them.
Jo: Are you really not going to read any of them?
Ch: Nope, not like this. If I'm gonna go out, I want to meet her in person and see if she's not a 40year old woman chasing for a 20year old man. Nu-uh definitely not a woman like my mother.
Monica sat on the edge of the fountain. She had a take-out coffee in her hand and sipped it watching the sunset. There were few people in Central park. A guy walking his dog, a young woman of her age jogging and an elderly couple.
She looked at the elderly couple. They were trying to sit on a bench for a break. The two had hair as white as snow. Watching the happy couple. Monica thought of Richard. She wanted to spent her life with him and be a family. But the man didn't want to have babies. So their relationship had to end, and it took her long-hard time to get over him.. like sleepless in New York.
'Chandler, was his name, wasn't it?'
She thought. He was having a hard time getting over that Kathy woman who cheated on him. Something told her they had a lot in common. Monica had always dreamed of finding her soulmate, her prince. But neither did she nor Chandler seemed to be getting anywhere close to that. She could just know that he was a sweet caring person who deserved better.
"There were 2000 woman asking for his address. You can ask for it too."
Rachel's words wandered in her mind.
Chandler and Ross sat at the far left side of the bar. It was early for a drink but they ordered some beer anyway.
Ross: Hey, why don't you ask that woman who lives right below you.
Ch: Who-Janice?
Ro: Yeah, she seems nice.
Ch: Nno- I've only seen her few times when I was taking the bins out.
Ro: Oh, hey come on. What can possibly go wrong? It's not like she lives right across the hall from you?
Ro: Just walk up to her and ask. "Hey, you wanna have a cup of coffee?
Ross tried to be seductive but failed miserably. They both knew they weren't good at asking woman out. Ever since college they weren't very successful in their love life, though his friend recently found this woman, Carol-who he refers as a really 'cool person' to let him stare at another woman.-
Ch: Like that?
Ro: No, not like me, like-like Hugh Grant.
The image of a hot-british guy flashed in his mind. He some point thought he was a bit cheesy, but Chandler knew there was no way he could be as attractive as him.
Ch: And she's not gonna see through that?
Ro: Oh, yeah. Sure~.
Despite Chandler's doubtful comment his friends didn't seem not to realize the flaws in his plans. He just wished Carol was the one for him
Ch: Hey, Joe!
Chandler called his roommate's name. He climbed upstairs as he didn't hear from joey.
Ch: Hey, Joey!
He stepped to his roommate's door and paused. He could hear a woman's voice alongside his friend's. It was 5 in the afternoon and it seemed to be a little early to bring a girl home. If joey was in the room with a girl, it didn't take him a hard guess to know what they were doing. He came down stairs and sat on the couch. He saw a garbage can full of trash. Since he came from work early he didn't have much to do. He grabbed the garbage bag and walked out.
He turned from the corner and saw her. The woman wore a leopard blouse, long curly hair coming down her shoulders. Chandler froze and watched her check her mails in the box addressed with her apartment number. He gulped.
Ch: Uh-huh. Janice? Hi. Hello.
He awkwardly spoke to her.
Ja: Hi. You're Chandler, who lives above me. Right?
Ch: Uh-yeah, yeah. I'm Chandler and a.. I wanted to ask if we could have coffee together sometime.
He nervously studied her expressions. He hated the awkward silence when he was about to get rejected. He wasn't expecting anything when Janice said-
Ja: Or dinner? How about tomorrow?
Ch: Y-yes, great. What about 7 at 'Wheeler's'?
He was happy that he wasn't rejected. A large grin spread on his face.
Ja: Sounds great!
Ch: Oh, okay. See you then, Janice.
Ja: Bye, bye, Chandler~eh eh eh ehe
He could hear her weird laugh but didn't mind it that much, since he just took a big step from being alone.
Mo: Now they knew how to love~. Oh I wish I was in love again.
She was getting emotional watching the movie. Rachel walked out of her room and sat next to her on the couch. She smiled smoothly asking a question.
Ra: Well, how about that guy, Mr. sleepless?
Mo: Oh, I don't know. I do want to meet him.. But I don't want to call the radio station for his address like other 2000 woman. I don't want to look needy…
Ra: Well, I can help you with that, cuz I've got something for you.
Rachel lent her a sheet of paper.
Ra: It's Mr. sleepless's address. I asked for it at the station.
Rachel then turned her position to face her. She matched her eyes with Monica and sincerely spoke.
Ra: Mon, honey. I think you should follow your heart. Write to this guy, and meet him in person. He could be your destiny.
Mo: You're right. I am going to send him the letter. Oh, honey. Thank you for doing this for me.
Ra: Oh, Mon. I will do anything for you.
Rachel smiled at her friend sweetly. She was happy to help her.
Mo: Okay, I'm going to write it now. Will you check if it's okay?
Ra: Sure~.
Monica brought a computer to the living room and started to write the letter. Rachel moved towards her and read what she was writing.
Ra: I think it's great! Now we just have to print it and send it tomorrow morning~.
The girls gave a high-five.
Chandler impatiently walks around the room checking his style in the mirror.
Jo: Hey, Chandler. Check this one.
Ch: Nope! I look like an idiot.
He angrily touches his hair.
Jo: Her name is Monica. Monica Geller. Come on, read this one.
Chandler walked towards his friend.
Ch: 'Dear sleepless and his friend-
-I want to meet you -empire state building -Valentines day.'
Jo: See, doesn't it sound great?
Ch: Well, I don't know.
Once again he brushes his hair with his fingers from annoyance.
Ch: Please Joey, I don't need this right now. I'm going out tonight, okay? Now I'll get going cuz I'm gonna be late for a date. So bye-bye Joey.
Chandler leaves and Joey holds on to the letter and reads it again.
Ch: So this is my apartment. And this is Joey.
Ja: Oh, let me guess you're Chandler's roommate, right?
Jo: Uh-yeah.
Ch: Joey, this is Janice.
Jo: Hi.
Janice keeps talking to Joey and laughs. Joey doesn't like her or her laugh.
'Oh, if only I could just pull my arm off to throw it at her.'
He thought.
Later that night Joey gets up to have a cup of water and hears laughter coming out of Chandler's room. He thinks Chandler's with the wrong person.
'I can't let him go down the wrong path. I mean, clearly this Monica woman is right for him. I should send her a letter instead of him.'
He goes to the living room and turns on the computer. He starts to write the letter.
Mo: Rachel, I think I'm gonna go see him. I'm too curious. I'm getting sick of picturing him by his voice.
Ra: Oh yeah, he lives here so you can see him from behind a wall or something. And when you come back you're gonna tell me about him.
Ja: Oh, Chandler. I have to go to Yemen now, but when I come back we're going to spend more time together, right?
Chandler smiled pretending to be intrigued.
Ch: Yeah, sure.
Ja: Okay. bye-bye bing-a-ling
Janice kissed him and waved at him before getting on the plane.
He was walking on the street near his house and saw a young woman of his age with dark hair, nervously looking for something from his apartment building. He walked up to her.
Ch: Hey, uh-hi.
He saw her blue eyes widden in surprise. She was just so beautiful.
Mo: Oh-wow, hi.
Monica was surprised since she didn't see him approaching her. She was too focused on looking for Mr. sleepless. But even in confusion she somehow liked the man in front of her.
Ch: I'm Chandler.
'Chandler! He is sleepless in New York.'
She thought.
'Oh god! What am I gonna do? I can't say that I'm Monica, he might know who I am.'
'But wow, he's just what I've imagined. He has that soft smooth voice I heard from the radio. And his hair, his hair looks so smooth. He has really nice blue eyes, too.'
His voice woke her up from her thoughts.
Ch: Are you a.. Looking for someone, something?
He asked with a small smile.
'Janice couldn't compare to her.'
He thought.
Mo: Oh um, I was just looking for my friend's apartment. She told me that she just moved in and I kind of wanted to pay her a visit.
Ch: Oh, okay. Do you need help? Cause I live here.
He wanted to get to know her better. All of a sudden his insecurities and nerves disappeared and he wanted to keep talking to her.
Mo: Oh, no~I'm fine. I'll just reach to her later.
Ch: No~you came all the way here, I'm sure you can find the apartment if I help.
Mo: ...Really?
She shyly smiled looking into his eyes. She knew she had to say no, but she couldn't resist him. Something about him made her like that.
Ch: Sure-
Just when he bent down to see Monica's paper someone called him across the street. A young woman ran to him and almost jumped on him.
Phoebe: Chandler!
Ch: Hey~Pheebs!
They hugged each other and he kissed her on the cheek.
Ch: What are you doing here? Don't you have to work?
Ph: I had to, but I postponed the appointment with my client to come see you!
Ch: Wow~what a pleasant surprise~.
Monica was a little shocked. She thought he was alone yet. But it seemed like he was already accompanied. She felt like a fool. She had to leave. Not matching her eyes with him she said-
Mo: I think I'll just come by again later, anyways thanks for helping, bye-.
She walked fast until she was sure he couldn't see her.
Chandler was confounded. He didn't even know her name. He stared at the place she had just been, then walked in his apartment with his friend.
Ra: So~? Did you see him? Did he look like what you've imagined?
Mo: Yes! Yeah, he was more than what I have imagined. He was cute and kind.
Monica put her purse down on the kitchen table and let out a big sigh.
Ra: Awww, then what is it? is something wrong?
Mo: ..He was with a woman. A tall blond woman.
Ra: And?
Mo: She came calling his name from across the street and literally jumped on him. They both seemed to be so happy to see each other.
Ra: So you think she's his new girlfriend?
Mo: If not, who could she be?
Ra: Okay, mon. Calm down. You can't just assume it. I mean, she could be a friend or even a sibling from far away.
Mo: Oh please~. No one hugs a friend or a sibling that hard.
Monica walked around the house. She thought she needed something to do so she grabbed the letters that came today.
Ra: Oh-mon~
Rachel approached her trying to make her feel better.
Mo: Wait, what is this?
Ra: What?
Mo: This letter, it's from him, sleepless. It's from his address.
Ra: Really?
'Dear, Monica. Thanks for you're letter. I really liked it. I'm very excited about seeing you at the empire states building on Valentine's and see if we're M.M.I.H. See ya soon.'
Mo: ' you're '?
Ra: Well, I think it should be 'your' , but..
She was trying to find a good reason but nothing came to her head.
Mo: M.M.I.H?
The girls looked at each other not knowing what the letters meant.
Ph: So are you seeing someone? I heard the radio the other night.
Surely phoebe was making fun of him. Chandler didn't answer. He still couldn't believe that Joey really thought of doing that.
Jo: Her name's Janice.
Ph: And you don't like her?
Joey clenched his teeth thinking of her laughing.
Jo: Yeah, her laugh is so annoying.
Ph: Is this true?
Ch: No-yeah sort of.
He couldn't but admit. Actually his relationship with Janice was getting a bit tiring. Everytime they met he could find more and more of her annoying habbits. Instead he started to think about the beautiful woman he met in front of his apartment. Now that he thought about it, she never told her name.
Jo: I'm telling you, man. You gotta meet Monica at the Empire building on Valentine's.
Ph: Oh! It's like that movie, 'An Affair to Remember' Haven't you seen it?
Ch: No~.
Ph: Oh then you should. I can tell you all woman love this movie.
Ch: Oh yeah, that makes me want to watch it.
Mo: Oh I'm such an idiot. I can't believe I sent a letter
Ra: Oh-come on Monica~. You saw him in person today. Did you not like him?
Mo: ..No, he was really nice and gentleman-like..
Monica thought of his sweet blue eyes that made her heart beat crazily.
Ra: See? You can't just decide a person from their writing. You have to see him. And that's what he's actually like.
Mo: Your right, Rachel. I was just jealous of that woman .
Ra: Aww, sweetie. But at least you know she's not his girlfriend since he's meeting you on Valentine's.
Mo: Yeah..
Ch: Oh, come on Joey! Stop talking about her. Janice will be here tomorrow.
He was actually starting to think his friend was as annoying as Janice.
Jo: No-seriously, Chandler. I'm telling you that Janice woman isn't meant for you. Do you actually love her?
Ch: I don't love her, but I could if I keep seeing her.
Jo: Look, Chandler, you're a nice person. And I'm sorry that Kathy cheated on you. But that doesn't mean you should just go out with someone you see the first. You should be with someone who can be important in your life. Who cares about you and loves you as much as you love her. So will you just do this? At least for a friend who really cares about you?
Chandler realized the seriousness in Joey's eyes.
Ch: Okay, I will.
Monica listened to the clock tick. Perhaps the sound made her more nervous. She turned to see the clock, but it was only 4:20. They were supposed to meet at sunset. So there were at least 2hours left and she was already dressed. She felt like she had a headache. She thought it would just go away but it didn't. Then Rachel saw her frown in pain.
Ra: Hey, Mon. Are you okay? You seem tired.
Mo: I think I have a headache. But it won't go away.
Ra: Then why don't you take a nap for a few hours. You still have more than 2hours until sunset.
Mo: Really?
Ra: Yeah, come on. It's not good for you to meet him when you're not in the best condition. But if you take a quick nap, you'll feel better.
She was a little worried that she might miss her appointment but had to accept her advice as the pain increased.
Mo: ..Alright.
Jo: Do you want me to go with ya?
C: Oh-no~. I'm sure I can find where the Empire States building is.
He sarcastically answered. He checked the time. It was 6. He looked in the mirror one last time and spoke.
Ch: Okay, now I'm gonna take off, Joey.
Jo: Yeah, good luck, man.
Chandler stared at the elevator as the number increased gradually. With a light 'ding!' sound, he walked out of the elevator mingled with other tourists. Cold wind hit his face as he opened the door to the observatory. He looked at the view for a second. The sun hadn't set yet, but was turning orange and the sky was painted with purple and pink. He slowly walked and started to look for the woman of mystery.
It had been almost 2hours since he arrived. The sun was already down and it was starting to get chilly. He looked at his watch and it was 8:30. He rotated the observatory, but every woman he asked wasn't Monica Geller. He was now starting to think he should just go.
'Maybe she changed her mind.'
He thought.
Ra: Oh-my-god, Monica?! What are you doing here?
Mo: Hmm..what?
Monica was still half asleep.
Ra: You were supposed to meet him at sunset, which was like 2hours ago!
Mo: Wait, what time is-oh god. 8:45?! I can't believe it! Ohhh I hope he didn't leave-
Ra: Go~go! Here's your jacket!
Mo: Ohhh-come on.. why's it taking so long?
Cab driver: There's traffic. I can't go any faster.
Mo: Oh I think I'm gonna have to run, here. Keep the change-.
Monica ran pass the cars and stepped her feet on the sidewalk. She ran as fast as she could. Street lights and people flew past her.
She pressed the top button repeatedly and started to tab her feet with anxiety. The elevator felt so slow and all she could think about was-
'What if he's coming down the elevator and I missed him!'
With the same light 'ding!' sound Monica rushed out. And she opened the same door to the observatory. The cold air made her wince but she didn't care. Her eyes searched for the guy whom she met in front of his apartment. But he wasn't there. She checked on every man in the observatory but she couldn't find him.
'I'm too late. He must've left.. I can't believe that I messed up. Stupid Monica!'
'He could've been the one for me.. My destiny...'
She felt miserable. It felt like her damn head-ache was coming again. Her legs trembled and she crouched and buried her head in her arms. She felt woeful and alone.
He walked in with a cup of coffee in his hand. Then he saw someone familiar. He could see who it was. But she didn't look happy. She was in sorrow for some reason and he didn't like to see her like that. Ever since the first time he met her he wanted to comfort her, make her laugh. It was like his second instinct. He slowly walked up to her so that she wouldn't get scared. He lowered his body so he would have the same eye level with her.
Ch: Hey, are you okay?
Mo: Thanks for asking, but I'm fine-d.
Monica spoke without looking at the stranger. The cold and her tears made her mis-pronounce the word. Chandler smiled. He knew she wanted to look like a strong person and he was gonna paly along.
Ch: Okay, but you sure look cold.
Mo: I told you I'm fi-
Monica held her head to see who was bothering her until she realized it wasn't a stranger. It was the one she had been looking for. She saw his blue eyes soften and his sweet smile.
Ch: Do you wanna get up?
He asked and gave her the other hand that was free.
Mo:-Yes.
Monica wiped her tear running down her cheek and held his hand.
Ch: Wow-your hand is really cold.
Monica made a small laugh and looked at him. Chandler locked eyes with her too then suddenly woke up from that magical moment.
Ch: Oh-hey um, you should drink this.
He gave her the coffee he was holding. Hot steam still came out of the hole from the cap. She didn't take it right away.
Ch: Oh no, I'm okay. You are the one who needs it right now.
Mo: Thanks, Chandler.
She established his name after the thank you. She wanted him to know she remembered him.
Ch: Hey uh, I don't think I know your name?
Monica hesitated a little but looked at him.
Mo: I'm Monica. Monica Geller.
As she expected Chandler was surprised.
Ch: Y-you're Monica Geller?
Mo: Yes.
Ch: Oh, wow.
He didn't talk for a moment then asked.
Ch: Then why did you leave so fast that day?
Mo: ..Because I thought we felt something for each other but.. She showed up and I thought-
Ch:-she was my girlfriend?
He finished her sentence knowing what she thought.
Ch: Well can I say something that might cheer you up?
He said with a crooked smile.
Ch: She's not my girlfriend, she's just a friend and is a bit enthusiastic.
Ch: So uh-you had feelings for me?
He asked shyly. Monica smiled at him and answered.
Mo: Yes, and I still do.
Chandler's eyes glittered as he heard her.
Ch: I do too.
At this, Monica's eyes lightened too. They stood looking into each other's eyes. There were few people behind and the lights of the buildings in New York city sparkled in the background.
Ch: So, do you wanna go somewhere else?
He smiled holding out an arm. Monica held on to it as she answered.
Mo: Yes.
EPILOGUE
*In the film them walking out of the Empire states building is the ending but I wanted to show a little more about Chandler and Monica so...
Ch: Hey, Joey! I'd like you to meet someone.
Jo: Who is it?
Joey turned his head from the TV and saw Monica.
Jo: Whoa-hey, how you do'in?
He said his catchphrase. Chandler eyed him and introduced them.
Mo: Hi, I heard you on the radio that day. Can I say Chandler sure is lucky to have a friend like you, Joey?
Jo: Yeah, I am a great friend! What did I tell you, Chandler!
Joey pat him on his shoulder and laughed.
Ch: Hey, Joey What did M.M.I.H mean?
Jo: Match Made in Heaven.
He raised his shoulders as if Chandler was asking an obvious question.
Joey watched his friend and Monica. The way they were looking at eachother was so cute.
Jo: Oh-! Hey-. I'll leave you love birds alone.
Ch: No Joey, we just met-
But Joey had already gone upstairs. Monica laughed and added.
Mo: I really like him, he seems nice.
Ch: Oh, yeah. You might like him more if you lived with him.
Ch: You would find Rollos everywhere, I mean how great is it? You can eat them when you are sitting down, watching TV. You don't have to get up to grab a snack.
He sarcastically said. Monica smiled at him. There was an awkard silence and they both knew what it was. Monica slowly sat on the kitchen table. An intense atmosphere filled the room. Her eyes were darken with lust-for him. He was feeling the same need- the need for her. His heart beated rapidly not because of nervousness.
Chandler got closer to her and put both his hands on the table, trapping her. The next second he leaned in for her lips. Her soft warm lips touched his and they deepened the kiss. Her hands swept through his smooth hair.
The scene slowly zooms out and moves from the kitchen to the stair case. Joey is leaning on the stair fence watching his best friend with the girl. He smiles and walks to his room.
-The end-
