Day 3: Radiance

A pretty lull day had several guild members sitting around the bar chit chatting. The subject of Lucy's book came up again, something a few members were reluctant to admit that they hadn't really read.

"Sorry…" Erza admitted making excuses, "it's a bit… long and complicated I can't seem to make time with the other books I'm reading."

"What kind of books are you reading?" Lucy asked curiously.

"Well… maybe a few romance books…" Erza started blushing.

"Oh my goodness!" Mira joined in, "me too!"

"I think we're all guilty of reading a couple of romance books," Levy joined it.

"With all the reading you do I'm not surprised that you've managed to squeeze a few in," Erza responded.

"But does that mean you've read Lucy's book?" Lisanna asked.

"Well…" Levy paused leading to some laughter as everyone realized that none of them had read her book.

Lucy took this well enough, she knew she had their support in spirit anyways.

"I'm surprised you haven't written a book Levy, the way you are always reading."

"Well, I'm a little busy at the moment," Levy admitted looking at the stroller that held her babies. "But I've debated it."

"Really? Oh my gosh what kind of book?"

"Would it be like Lucy's?"

"Actually… since we're talking about it… I was thinking maybe romance?"

"A romance?"

"Then we would all definitely read it," Lucy joked.

"What kind of romance?" Erza asked clearly starting to daydream.

"Well…. I was just thinking of fated romance and how there's an opposite's attract trope, where one person is the sun to the other person's moon…"

"You mean where they that the moon reflects the sun's radiance, so they can't shine without their sun?" Lucy asked.

"Yeah, exactly! You know this well," Levy responded.

"We all know this well," Lisanna chimed in gaining a few laughs.

"So… is this autobiographical then?" Erza asked Levy.

"No! I don't think so… I mean we and Gajeel…. You don't think…" Levy started blushing.

"I mean it is a little opposites attract…"

"Yeah, but…. The purpose is that the moon is so much better now that they have that sun in their life."

"How is that not you guys?" more laughter as Levy was blushing.

"I mean… it's not just us… aren't there more examples here?" Levy asked. "Erza?"

"Umm…" Erza was blushing now… "I mean… it's not so much opposites… but…."

"Lucy?"

"Um…"

At that moment Juvia and Gajeel walked in from their long mission, with Juvia rushing over to the arms of her beloved. Gajeel walked over to the counter to take a look at the babies who were napping.

"I swear they've gotten bigger," Gajeel said looking adoringly at his children.

"Like there!" Mirajane blurted out to the girls, "Tell me that he wouldn't have changed like that without you!"

"What is she talking about?"

"We were talking about romance tropes," Levy told him.

"Ah, leave me out of this," he said taking the stroller for a lap around the guild hall.

"Alright," Lisanna said, "Well, how about Juvia over there!"

Everyone turned to see Juvia still embracing Gray as he smiled softly waiting patiently for her to break the hug whenever that would be.

"Oh yeah," Mira agreed, "The way he looks at her, you can tell that she's his sunshine."

"Yeah… it's sweet," Levy said admiring how in love they looked. "I wouldn't say opposites but yeah."

"I agree."

Juvia broke her hug eventually to get a couple of drinks, joining the group.

"So have you read Lucy's book, Juvia?" Lisanna teased.

"Are you trying to prove that no one has read it?" Lucy asked

"No, just trying to find someone who has,"

"Juvia has!" Juvia responded to everyone's shock.

"Seriously?" Lucy asked.

"Yes, it was cute," Juvia answered not getting into too much detail.

"Ok… well, we were talking about romance novels too, do you partake Juvia?" Lisanna asked.

"No," Juvia answered, "They're a bit too predictable for Juvia."

"Wow, Juvia, it's like you're trying to have every opposite opinion," Lucy laughed a bit.

"Don't be mean Lucy, Juvia's the only one who read your book after all," Levy teased now as the girls started laughing.

"So, we were bringing up the moon and sun trope in romance novels and think you and Gray fit it. Do you agree?" Lisanna asked her.

"Yes!" Juvia beamed finally agreeing with the group.

"Yeah, he has changed around you," Erza mentioned.

"Not as much as Juvia has," Juvia responded. "Juvia did not know sun before meeting Gray-sama. Without Gray-sa,a Juvia would never glow, the way that trope says. Gray-sama took away the rain. He's… Juvia's sunshine."

Juvia snapped out of her daze to the silence of the rest of the girls.

"Thank you for the drinks, Mira-san," Juvia said before taking her drinks and leaving to meet back up with Gray.

"Well… I didn't see it going that way," Lucy admitted.

"Yeah…" Erza responded. "I mean, I knew but still… for her to credit him still despite how much she's changed him for the better."

"I don't think they know that they're each other's sun," Mira stated, "and that's cute."

They looked over at the couple clearly glowing in the radiance of the happiness they gave each other.

A/N: Kinda fudged this one. Oh well, I got today in. I do plan on tomorrow too so yay.
